Order re sort in stacked graphical view of Pivot table
HelloI have a requirement in the order of the stack in a certain way, rather than alphabetical. In my criteria, I have a case statement affecting 1, 2 or 3 and directs this column. But what is the syntax to give me a prescription? Help, please. Thank you.
Hi user
Change the order of columns in the criteria. So will this order of column and it will show the battery view in this order.
Don't forget to redraw the graph or the refreshment
Thank you
Don

Remove sorting in a Pivot table view
Hi people,
How to remove the column header sort options in the pivot table view?
Thank you
AJ
You want to remove the small arrows on the column header in a pivot view?
If so, the options are available in the analysis criteria tab. The problem is it cannot be set to a point of view, they perform the whole analysis
In the criteria-> Properties tab right next to the filters and the stages of selection analysis-> Interactions tab.
Mark, if this can help

Running sum and Pivot Table graphics
Hello Experts,
I've shown measures execution of amounts in pivot table problem is when I try to pivotted results graphic I get the original values and not the running sum values. Is there a way to get around this or another way to do?
Thank you
Published by: ZaidN on June 29, 2010 07:20Do the following things.
(1) to restart all services
(2) use the resume function it shows the cumulative graph also
(3) accumulation of usage view on measure it in pivot does ' t shows resume graphic because the sum of runnung dynamically apply in pivot table, but the table takes the column.

my number of months is the imonth field in the dataset.
my bi datamodel Editor is:
Select posall.iyear as iyear,
posall. CUE as a benchmark,
posall.anicnt as anicnt,
posall.iMonth as imonth,
posall. MONTH to MONTH,
posall.exp as exp
of AnimalControl.Tracking.posall posall
order of cue, iyear, imonth
The closest I could get to this result is the following
I created my pivot table with the columns of iyear
I have a defined lines as a guide, imonth and mnth showing the anicnt.

Create a copy of the PivotTable (or a copy of the RTF) you currently have and delete the imonth the pivot column. Then in the new PivotTable for the 'C' field, change the code as follows:
It sorts and then by column imonth but doesnot include the line with the number of the month and related data. If you want, I can send you the model. Provide your e-mail ID.
I used Tim's blog as reference; http://blogs.Oracle.com/XmlPublisher/2010/03/new_skool_crosstabbing.html
Award points if helpful/correct.
Thank you!

Hi Experts,
Here's the requirement I need to sort the text Text_field field say to sort this column, I called another field. Sort_Text_field.
I have the pivot table as follows
Can I sort Text_field even if Sort_Text_field is not in the PivotTable on the side.
Thank you!
Month1-(Jan) Month2-(Feb) Text_field MetricValue1 MetricValue2
Thank you!!Just in case if helps others. Tim Dexter tanks

Customization
One new feature that I discovered this week is the ability to show a single column and sort by another. I got a data set which was extracting the month abbreviations, we wanted to show for months through the top and headers of lines on the side. As you know XSL is not very good with dates, in particular recognizing the names of months. He just wants to sort them alphabetically, so, after comes before Jan, etc..
A way around this is to generate a number of months to the sides of the month and which allows to sort. We can do that in the crosstab, unfortunately it is not exposed in the user interface still but its doable.Go back and take a look at the initial crosstab command. especially the line inputs and columns. There, you will find the sort criteria.
"ProductsBrand {, o = a, t = t}, PeriodYear {, o = a, t = t}.
Note these key commas inside the braces? Because there is no field that precedes them, this means that the crosstab should sort on the column before the brace that is PeriodYear. But you can insert another column in the data set to be sorted. For myself how I needed to work.
<>" _Fund_Type_._Fund_Type_Sort_, o = a, t = n} ';' _Fiscal_Period__Amount__._Amt_Fm_Disp_Abbr_ {_Fiscal_Period__Amount__._Amt_Fiscal_Month_Sort_, o = a, t = n} ';' _Execution_Facts_._Amt_ ';' amount '? >
Excuse the horribly verbose XML tags, good ol' BIEE: 0) emboldened columns are not in the table, but in the data set. I just open the field, dropped and changed the value type (t) is 'n', number, instead of the default 'a' and my crosstab started sorting how I wanted that it.
If you find other tips and tricks, please share in the comments.

Remove the view grid lines table Pivot
Hi people,
How to remove the view grid lines table Pivot? Any script must be integrated? If Yes, then please give me the details.
Kind regards
AJ
This is how you do it,
Take each of your lines and measures in the PivotTable, and then select the "Values of Format" option when you click on the menu options for each of the lines and the measures.
In that set the border color to your "background color" which could be "white" and make sure that the border post has the value 'None '.
That's your vision of pivot will not have the grid lines more...

Elapsed time for the materialized view vs Master table query
Hello all;

Many queries take less time the second time you run them. After the first performance, there may be many, if not all, lines in the buffer cache. Then the second round will not make any or all e/s physical but will obtain data from the buffer cache. Also, you haven't checked that the MV was even used for the second run.
Drop the MV and make the query several times and means of the time. Then create the MV and do the same thing.

How to use a list in a query so that you can sort the list according to an attached table?
1. my initial query returns the phone numbers with inconsistent structures. Example:
-555 (555) - 5678
666-555-5678.
555.5678 (444)
1-888-555-5678
2. I have to loop through the list and perform a certain number of cleaning functions, this is why the list looks like this:
555-555-5678.
666-555-5678.
444-555-5678.
888-555-5678.
3. now, I need to use this list in a query, if I can use the first three digits to seek a regional indicative table sign and its link and be able to sort by area code. The indicative table looks like this:
ThreeDigitCode AreaID
555 1
666 2
444 1
888 4
I need to put the phone in the query list, so I can do a search of the areaID and the comparable information to a table that says AreaID 1 is Eastern and his sort-position is 1, etc..
Thanks in advance for your advice.
You can add an empty your query column, when you select the phone
numbers and use this column to store the ThreeDigitCode:
SELECT phone_number, '' as threeDigitCode FROM #your_table#
then clean up the numbers and place the 3 digits in others
column. And then using query of query to join phone numbers with
area codes:
SELECT * FROM phone_number INNER JOIN area_codes ON area_codes.threeDigitCode = phone_number.threeDigitCode Mack

Limit the rows in a Pivot table view in dashboard

How to speed up sqlldr import of a materialized view's base table
Hi all
We have a large base on a warehouse system table.
We charge this table periodically by using SQL * Loader.
The charges are generally 30 minutes and its supported. Recently, we have created a materialized view using this table as a table base (and his newspaper correspondents materialized view) mode to REFRESH FAST .
Now we see that expenses will take much longer muuuch.
We created the view as the ISC documentation, using COUNT (*) columns and refresh mode seems to work. BUT, why is it so slow? Is it possible to speed it up?
Thank you in advance.
Mariano
SpainHello
You have all the nonunique indexes or indexes on base tables bitmap? If Yes, you can consider disabling or setting their USUSABLE, and rebuild them after charge, you can also consider using PARALLEL INDICATOR your query mview to speed up, but you need to test this on your system with suitable parallel degrees (No. = 2 CPU, parallel = 2).
The amount of data you load?
Is the partitioned table, if so, then what system is used?
Have you considered materialized view partitioning and using PCT (track changes of partition) to refresh loaded recently loaded partition? the amount of data you have in this table?Concerning

How to make an update of a view online two tables...
When the unique constraint of the second table includes three columns?
I have two tables A and B and I want to update a table column, one using an update of a view online two tables.
Table A:
col1 primary key
col2
Table B:
col1 u1
col2 u2
COL3 u3
COL4
col5
Table col1 primary key, table B has a unique constraint on col1, col2 and col3.
Tables A and B are joined in this way:
And now, I want to update this view and set KEY_OLD = KEY_NEW.select A.col1, A.col2 as KEY_OLD, B.col5 as KEY_NEW from A, B where (B.col1 = 'literal_1') and (B.col2 = 'literal_2') and (A.col1 = B.col3) and (A.col2 = B.col4)
Because of the first three conditions in the where clause for each entry in the table A there is just a matching entry in the table B.
So the table should be preserved in the join key.
But during the update
I get an error ORA-01779.update (select A.col1, A.col2 as KEY_OLD, B.col5 as KEY_NEW from A, B where (B.col1 = 'literal_1') and (B.col2 = 'literal_2') and (A.col1 = B.col3) and (A.col2 = B.col4) ) set KEY_OLD = KEY_NEW;
I did the updates on inline views this way several times in recent weeks and it work very well.
But so far the unique constraint on the table B was just a column ;-)
So what I need is to make it work with the unique constraint on the application of the three-column table B.
Thank you very much in advance for any help.
Hartmut cordiallyPreserved key criteria must be met by the join columns, the optimizer does not agree (in fact I never tried in 11g) just a combination of columns, literals and join.
The alternatives you have are subqueries online (which as you point out can do rather worse), the command MERGE or indicator BYPASS_UJVC semi undocumented.

Hello
I use 11.1.2.1. I created smart slices on a cube ASO where the requirement ranging and sorting of data. For example, I pick up the revenue of the cube figures and all dimensions are in line or POV. The measures are in the column. Range of revenue of $0 - $1000. I want to sort the range by the amount of revenues (ascending or descending) and I also want to see how much my business fits into a certain range (for example, between $500 - $600). These are all necessary to analyze the data from the different point of view.
Please let me know how I can do it.
Thank you.I have not tried, but I guess that you can also use the query designer and replace the MDX generated by an Order clause) or run an MDX erpression from a macro. You can also use toppercent and bottompercent if you want just the percentage of top members X

Hi all
I have the tree view widget, which displays same folder as the paneltreeview hirarchy,.
but the order is always ascending I want to change this order to descending order.
I tried with the following ways,
Compare the NodeIDClass method, I changed the return value (just change the sign)
MyDataModel I used the card, I made this card in descending order, then also the tree is in ascending order
We know where the treeview trie node, please suggest.
Thank you

Hi Praveen,
change your model to obtain the children of GetNthChildPath() in a sorted order.
