OS DPP and Zoombrowser

I want to download DPP and Zoombrowser for a lptop Win7, but neither seems to be available on the Canon website.

Short story:

Canon 50 d + EOS DPP on Windows XP computer laptop etc-> very happy.

WinXP dies-> replaced by laptop Win7, but the DPP lost drive.

Tried to find the DPP on the Canon Website, but the only thing that appears is 'upgrade', which will not be installed.

After all night search, recovery disk original. Installed on Win7 OK. Very happy again.

A big thank you to all who tried to help.

  • Is the DPP came with my Rebel T3 compatible with a 5 d mark ii?

Hello, I just bought a 5 D Mark ii, can I use the DPP software provided with my Rebel T3 with this device?

«.. . You can always download the latest version (upgrade) and be ready to start working... »

It is correct. It should work.

The 5DII is an older model than the T3, if ware which works with T3 should be fine with the 5DII as well.

However, if you have any problems, just update to the latest version of DPP and certainly will work with 5DII.

In fact, it is not a bad idea to keep up-to-date with the latest version of DPP in any case. He is regularly modified and improved, not just updated to the latest versions of the camera.

Later versions of DPP will not work with some models of digital SLR cameras relatively old: 10 d, D60, D30 for example... generating a. CRW file instead of today. CR2. The latest versions of DPP no longer support older cameras and their file format. (Just get a copy of Adobe Elements... which works very well.)

  • I just bought a SX50HS and continue to use a SX130IS bought in 2011.

I just bought a SX50HS and continue to use a SX130IS bought in 2011.  I have a 2.3 GHz Core 2 under Win XP SP3 machine.  This goes to my videos in 1280 x 720 SX130 without insisting on the CPU at all.  Now they say I need at least 2.6 GHz to run videos of the new camera.  If I install the new software it will work also with my huge steps. the SX130 photos and videos?  What will happen?  I spent $$ on a new camera and do not want to use my laptop more quick which has a tiny screen for the new camera.  The SX130 2010 software has no problem showing all the file types that do not come with his camera.  If I only produce 1280 x 720 size it will be OK?

You reply to the message from Canon:

Looking at the previous post of Canon, I understand what he says, but some people in this forum say that they prefer ZoomBrowser ImageBrowser.  My problem is in my SX130IS's CameraWindow and ZoomBrowser doesn't whence jpg files (it displays the images of the phone of my daughter, brother-in-law camera, etc.) and I don't think I want something different.  If I install the new CameraWindow alone or with PLR is an option?  Basically, I use my desktop computer for critical tasks related to my work and personal research and development and still tend to avoid changing anything.  If I try the new software, it would be on my laptop which does contain nothing critical.  Then at some point soon I need to migrate the Office XP to Windows 7 (radical)!  In the meantime, I can remove the memory card from my SX50HS and ZoomBrowser bed in his usual way, which is like CameraWindow.

  • Re: items 10 edited photo hang up my Canon Zoombrowser program

    Hi all

I installed my copy of 10 items today and can't wait to try it, I began to straighten out a couple of photographs. I had put PSE10 like one of my publishers external and open in the Viewer pane Zoombrowser. I straightened and cropped the pictures and then they recorded under the same names of files to overwrite the originals. However, upon his return to the Zoombrowser which must be closed and then reopened then to refresh thumbnails thumbnails stopped at the first illustrated edition and number of seconds later its thumbnail appeared and Zoombrowser continued to load the photos as usual until it struck the 2nd edited picture where it's the same thing. When I tried to view the first loaded the entire program image is stuck and after that the name of the file in the info bar was the message (not answer). Later before hitting CTRL + ALT + DELETE Zoombrowser allowed me to close. I reopened Zoombrowser and tried with the 2nd edited picture - the same result.

Does anyone have experience of this problem? I might mention that I also use Irfranview as a file viewer and seem to have no problem.

Any help will be much appreciated

    Hello

    There is a solution.

    (1) Save as TIF files pictures - takes up more disk space.

    (2) change the preferences of the Editor Edit-> preferences-> saving files - never save Previews of Image value. This will stop incorporating the thumbnail in the file and appears to allow ZB quickly open the image. I don't think that there is a downside of does not save the thumbnail.

  • Perfect in DPP - scrambled in Photoshop

    Hello

Hoping you can help - tried everything.

I recently took a series of photgraphs (of my pregnant partner) who seems perfect in Canon Digital Photo Professional (pretty smooth complexion). The problem is that when I opened turn pants skin tones in Photoshop (CS4 or CS5). Is not serious if I try to open an CR2 / save in Tiff format of DPP or transfer to Photoshop of DPP - give the same result.

    That I captured a comparison here: http://www.PBase.com/kwebster/help

I uninstalled / reinstalled photoshop (Yes, realize it is radical) tried PS4 and PS5 tried different drivers raw / / made sure color spaces are all set to Adobe RGB - no luck.

When I open them in PS the arrow WARNING sign appears and the histogram looks like the peaks are cut) not the case in DPP).

Apologies - I'm obviously on the evidence. Happy to provide CR2 files to anyone who can help.

    PS

I think that what is happening is that the highlights are be cut (that is, the upper part of the histogram is cut). I'm puzzled as to why its perfect in DPP and not in Photoshop so. Perfect also in Infranview.

  • lose color when RAW conversion

I have a Canon SX50 and tried the RAW feature yesterday. I am very impressed by the detail and color displayed on the overview screen. However, when I convert JPG images, color isn't the case about right. I could make a good black and white photo with my photo program (Photoscape), but nothing else.  PhotoScape is a RAW easy to use to JPG Converter. I used that as well as a converter free online called Imverter. The results obtained with the two converters were the same: lack of part of the original color. Can someone help me with this?

    Hey, Bobn.
I watched Photoscape and it seems to have a tab/page "editor" which includes a large part of what you need to punch to the top of your image before RAW you convert to JPEG for printing or display. Seek to increase the contrast and color mainly and brightness as needed. Also a very little bit of sharpening will also help you.
I think you would do well to lift your DPP and possibly ongoing enforcement, but I think the Photoscape can work too. Look in Google video tutorials for free how-to on Photoscape. I checked and there are several.

    Good luck

  • CR2 files not visible as thumbnails in the Picture Viewer or Windows Photo Gallery.

I was using an Acer laptop for a long time, and I was transferring files from my Canon T3i CR2.  I was able to view these files as thumbnails.  I recently bought a new computer, an HP Z220.  For some reason after that I have transfer files to the Z220, I am unable to see these pictures as thumbnails, which is very annoying when I know there is a special move, I want to watch.  Without a thumbnail, I have to open each file in the Canon software, which can be quite tedious.  How can I fix?  Is there a file on the old computer, which was developed without the knowledge of me, perhaps by default, but is setting a different setting now on the HP?  Two computers use Windows 7.  Has anyone else had this problem?

I wanted to come back here and to answer my own question, as I found the solution in a very short time. I went on Canon's site and downloaded a codec RAW update.  After installation, I was able to view CR2 (RAW) files on the newer computer.  I found the update through various research, after that I reduced the problem of the relationship between Canon's Digital Photo Professional and Windows Photo Gallery.  Maybe when I was using the Acer laptop, I had already downloaded the drivers updated to the DPP and he did not know or just do not do.  I do not know.  The thing is, while searching for an answer to this question, I found others have had the same problem and need a solution.  The short answer: you need to update the codec for Canon Digital Photo Professional RAW.  Here is a link to the download.

  • Removed the GPS metadata while applying the Preset on Import (Canon 6 d)

I spoke to Canon support already and I found that my pictures on my computer keep the GPS metadata on the original photo through their Digital Photo Professional App files. However, when I imported my files on my computer, I applied my own copyright info preset and I accidentally got the box "device info" checked, which did not allow me to transfer all of these GPS metadata on import. I already deleted pictures from my camera, so I'm not able to import photos without this checked.

How to restore the files on my Lightroom photos GPS data? Or do I go through my photos manually through DPP and translate the latitude and longitude of each photo to get the GPS data?

Simply 'remove' (do not drive delete) the pictures of the catalogue and re-importation with an "information appliance" unchecked.

  • Lightroom turns my (raw) CR2 files in red

Hello - I am having this problem will all my Adobe software (bridge, camera raw and lightroom). My raw files in red color change. I checked my monitor profile and I use the sRGB profile all over the place. Here's a screenshot of what question I face. As you can see, all the thumbnails have become red.

When I open these images in my windows machine using the integrated photo viewer or Windows live photo gallery, I don't face any problem. I also open these pictures in Canon DPP and it works very well. In all the Adobe products I mentioned above, I see this problem.

I'm new to this, ask for your help.

    Thank you

    red.png

The two photos of this small catalogue had zero BM, HSL and Split Toning applied settings that skewed their color to Red:

A hypothesis as to what happened is that you have edited a photo of sunrise/sunset which was for the most part only orange and seemed better with still more than orange, and then for some unknown reason only, you know, you've decided to define the LR default values to these severely fixed parameters , using Alt / Set Defaults... / update to current settings.

With the help of your Alt / Set Defaults / reset default settings deleted Adobe your inappropriately custom LR uses by default, and your Reset using challenge all the wrong settings on each selected photo reset you.

Reset by clicking on the picture changes its settings to whatever the faults of LR are both.  So as long as you set the default values for LR, whenever you used the Reset, it would change the default inappropriate photos.

Normally, you would customize your default settings to make LR always use always a certain profile of camera use a small noise reduction always have whet active masking or or have LR will automatically use a default value instead of the profile of Auto lens.  You would not normally be set by default LR which included the parameters of toning and color as you did.  Of course, it was just a mistake that you did not know you had done.

Ive updated utility Canon DPP and last version of Apple OS on my iMac. Ive got the latest version of the CC of Lightroom and Photoshop CC. But when I try to download my Canon 5 d raw files in Lightroom, I get the jpeg on the screen but they successfully will not import in Lightroom it states that they are not yet supported when I check in Photoshop CC it shows DNG 9.1.1 which should allow me to import. Where can I go to try to change the settings to import successfully?

If I import via the Canon utility I can open files in Photoshop CC but the settings are not as Im used to from Lightroom and the images look lifeless.

  • LR5 import problem: Photos do not show in the import window

When you try to import CR2/JPEG files in LR5, import window shows empty records even though I can see the files in windows Explorer.  I also importing them from different places (from the camera, memory card, hard drive) and is always in white.  The kicker is I can open / import them by canon DPP and LR 4.4.

Here are the details of my system:

    • Tested on Windows 7 64 bit
    • Administrative account running without any permission problem
    • I have uninstalled/installed LR5 several times that does not solve the problem
    • I tried to import a upgrade to my existing LR4.4 catalog and also with a new catalog.

I created a video that captures my normal workflow.  As you can see, LR5 can not see one (CR2 and JPG) pictures of the card memory or hard drive but LR4.4 can see both of them without any problem.  Any help would be great.

  • Sides of Firmware V2.0 Image EOS 7 d.

I now have my updated 7 d to update to the new V2 firmware that allows the listing of image on the camera.

Opening and DPP will import the images and display all of the side to the camera, LR4.1 on OS x 10.8 does not work!

To do this on LR4.1, you must import and then read meta data file to get this info.

    This can be automated?

Or it's just a defect of LR4 not to read the built-in metadata when you import that dpp and opening is standard?

I think you have misunderstood my second post!

I use a metadata preset that fills all my rights of author, name, details etc. when importing. In this preset that I created, side has been verified and set "no side". That's why when importing it would say all images "no side".

So I had to change my preset and turn off the coast in the metadata, so it will now read the rating of the image metadata during import.

It is so easy to choose something that substitutes for what you think should happen!

If you don't use a metadata preset, you have nothing to fear

  • Best way to go next to improve the color of the sky?

    Hi guys,.

I have most of my colors from just about the way I would like them in Camera Raw, except for one thing: my bright blue sky out of kind of dull - particularly in comparison with JPEG files in camera.  Notice the difference, for example, in the colors of the sky in this representative sample.  I use the camera profile Adobe's Standard with a few settings for default cursors, but none of the available cursors allow me to saturate the color of the sky without altering the balance of the darker colors.

    SkyColorDifferences.jpg

I wouldn't mind a much more saturated sky with the more blue color that I get from Photoshop, but the real key here is the level of color saturation in the sky.  Clearly the Canon's interpretation of the data in the area of clear sky quite differently from Adobe converter.  In my opinion, they do a better job than Adobe.

My question is this: in pursuit of the colors more saturated vives, should I change my own profile?  Or maybe I should craft some measures in adequate Photoshop fix this?  The former would give a result more integrated, direct, but it wouldn't be too bad as I already use an action to convert to ProPhoto RGB images to sRGB.

Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Noel,.

I did more high profile of dng using (16 bits) out of Canon DPP and not the camera. If I understand correctly, Adobe did the same thing. There are slight differences in rendering between the camera and the DPP, so try to develop your RAW with DPP and ACR and check the differences

Technically, this profile has the same WB as camera Standard, I borrowed the color of it dies. But even if WB are different, if you set WB to "As Shot", which is white (R = G = B) using camera Standard white with this profile, just the color temperature and the color displayed in the window of the cab would be different. It is because when WB is set shot, then ACR gets all the necessary information of WB for the transformation of color in raw file's exif tags

However, as various technical details in DPP and ACR (and photo) are different, it is not to expect that you get the exact match of all the colors, but I did everything I can to be as close as possible.

In addition, as I wrote, to match the camera / DPP exposure, good value is, for some reason,-0,24 (instead of-0,25), because it's the ACR value uses for 40 days (at least in the case of flood attached you). Not a big difference however...

Edit: actually, the color matrices are taking of dng that has been converted to cr2. There are differences in the 4th decimal place of matrix2 between dng and camera Standard, where the difference in hue 1 and 50K to color temperature, displayed in ACR
