OSX 10.5.8 with deskjet 3522

I ordered a HP Deskjet 3522, it's going to happen between 2013 21 - 23 Oct. I primarily will use on a MacPro of 2006 with OSX 10.7.5, but on the network, I also got an iMac more old 17 '' running OSX 10.5.8

There will be a problem of 'sharing' of the printer with the old Mac?

The older iMac will no longer have the function 'print' not all other options.

Printer arrived and I connected via USB... set up the drivers on the fine Mac Pro (OSX 10.7) after it has been set and before the installation of the Wi - Fi on the printer, I checked the iMac (OSX 10.5) he was able to see the printer but couldn't print that the pilots were not "compatible" with this computer... :-( So, I advanced and set up Wi - Fi on the printer. Well guys good try. Thanks anyway.

  • DeskJet 3522: Black ink does not print

My HP Deskjet 3522 ceased to print anything in black.  Color printing very well.

I cleaned the printhead for 5 times, run printer many pages, test and have downloaded and run the utility HP print and scan doctor.  There are some impressions of text improved, now black in a very pale blue gray, which I think is better than nothing at all.

I read on the forum that it is a fairly frequent problem and am surprised that there is no solution provided by HP.  I understand that if you do not often print it can be some dried up ink cluttering up the printhead.  I print on a regular basis and replace my cartridges regularly.

About 2 years ago, this happened with my previous HP printer.  I replaced it with this one.  I arrived at the end of the life cycle of the printer a HP?  If so, I'm probably not inclined to get another HP, although I have always appreciated the help of HP printers.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

    Hi again,

It's good to hear that you use genuine HP cartridges. HP does not guarantee the reloaded cartridges or HP. And that brings me to this:

If a black cartridge ran last night, and you replace it. Do you have any questions before or after you have replaced the cartridge (or both)?

From the sounds of it, you are having problems with a new cartridge. If this is the case, you should check the warranty status. If it's a cartridge defective out of the box, it should be under warranty. To check the warranty on your ink supplies, go to hp.com/go/learnaboutsupplies , select your country/region, and then review the information of limited warranty for your supplies.

    I hope that helps!

  • Differences between the HP Deskjet 3522 and HP Deskjet 3520?

    Hello

Is could someone please tell me what is the difference between the HP Deskjet 3522 and HP Deskjet 3520?

I've seen both for sale online and can see no difference between them... so don't know why different model numbers

    Thank you!

The difference in the number of products, is because it coordinates with the serial number.

So when you have a problem, or warranty issues, the number of the product will compete with the serial number in the system.

  • DeskJet 3522 does no black ink print

I got a new DeskJet 3522 for just a few months, when I tried to print a PDF file yesterday, black ink started to print very, very faintly, and then completely disappeared.  I guess I was out of ink, so I bought a new HP black cartridge.  When changing the cartridge, the ink level showed a black ink left, but in any case, I changed the cartridge.  The new cartridge does not print also.  He still has a lot of ink in the color cartridges and it shows a totally black cartridge.  Displays the level of the cartridge are generally accurate?  Have I not a new cartridge defective?  What is the problem?  Thank you.

Hi, such that the printer is still under warranty I would definitely say contact you HP support by phone you may need a replacement printer. Can you please let me know how you go?

    Thanks, Ciara

  • Personalized with Deskjet 4620 paper sizes

    Hi all!

I currently have problems printing to a custom on my Deskjet 4620 size document.  In my country, the legal size is measured in 8.5 "x 13".  Unfortunately my printer does not support custom paper size print.

I tried you are looking for a room and speak to an agent of technical support, but the closer, I went to a solution uses a 6980 driver - who has done print legal paper with the correct margins, BUT screwed up the colors (ie. in Photoshop and MS PPT, it prints images colored B & W ones).

Can someone help me with this? I thank very you much in advance!

Right click on the printer in the Printers folder and select Printing Preferences. Set the size of the page to legal... 8.5x13 is a standard size for legal. It should not need to set a custom size

  • quality of mediocre photo with Deskjet 6940

My Deskjet 6940 has never been a regular BW printing problems, but I can't produce a decent photo. Impressions are systematically too dark with contrast exaggerated, grainy and often striped. I have a new photo cartridge that tests OK, adequate level in the color cartridge. I use Canon (weight 45) glossy photo paper. I can't find the Technologies of life real (?) anywhere on any screen. If I print using HP Photosmart printing or iPhoto problems persist.

I have an iMac, OS 10.4.11, wireless to the printer, which is Ethernetted to my router. I use Easy Install software (from original disc) now, having struggled to get the OS X software install when I started from zero yesterday. Would it be useful to download the Mac OS software of 2007 on the site of HP? I can't distinguish the differences between 3 downloads of software available for Mac/6940.

And the strangest thing: there are a few nights after several tries, I managed to print a few impressions absolutely perfect, wonderful!  The next morning, I could not and have not been able since to understand what I could do right.

    Thanks for your suggestions, answers.

Bob, I guess I have to give up. Yes, the photo with the vertical stripes was in landscape mode. Changing the color cartridge to get rid of it, but now the printer seems to want to print just part of the picture, and that the part is not so great. I printed a test page when it started and I had an e-mail response to a query by using HP, but after 2 exchanges with "Eleanor" I heard nothing more; She asked me to print the test page and give the results of some lines by e-mail. I must have scared it by responding effectively as requested.

I have so many variables to deal with printing - with the Finder, with iPhoto, with HP Photosmart, as I just can't play around with this any longer. I blown off50 photo paper pages (and bought another pack of another type that will now go unused) more new cartridges for photo and color (and my first photo cartridge was defective, so I had to return it to the store and I Exchange). And I still just 2 impressions nice to show it all.

So phooey! I really appreciate your help, though - you get Kudos for trying! I think I'll see if anyone on the Mac forums has some ideas, but I'm about to burn a disc and go to the Pharmacy!

    Thanks again!

  • DeskJet 7610: Questions PDF with Deskjet 7610

We bought a Deskjet 7610 about four months ago.

When generate us a PDF of our CAD software, Vectorworks 2015, they sometimes print correctly and sometimes print with all annotations, in boots together so that they are unreadable. The attached images show how a drawing should look like ('Plan - correct') and how they print sometimes ('Plan - evil').

This problem does not occur when send us PDF files to print by other companies outside printer, for example.

Any suggestions for how we might resolve this problem?

    Thank you!

    Hello

You print the PDF using Apple Preview or Adobe Acrobat Reader?

If you use Apple Preview please try WAA drive instead, it can be downloaded from the following link:

    https://get.Adobe.com/reader?promoid=KLXME

If you meet such a while using the player WAA, the dialog box print, click on the Advanced button and check the print as Image.

Confirm the changes and try to print again.

You can see any difference then?
