Outbound RDP connection registration

Looking for an idea of logging outgoing Windows 2008 R2 remote DESKTOP connections.   I have a Windows 2008 R2 server, which is essentially used as a jumping area for access to a test environment.  I want to enable logging for all outbound connections to RDP so I can check what resources the team is access to different security reports.   Which must be turned on to get there?

Thank you

Joe

  • The Session RDP connection drops

I have search the Forum of the community, but have not found the answer I'm looking for. I am running Win7 Professional SP1 and use RDP to connect to a computer remotely to corporate headquarters in Europe on a SSLVPN. My RDP session falls randomly at various intervals, that is to say after 2 hours, or five hours or 30 minutes of use.

my boys in the United Kingdom have tested the RDP connection using the same connection methods, however, seem to have successfully the RDP session active for a continuous 24 hours and it has been tested over a period of 5 days (day 1, day 3 and day 5) without any problem at all.
I've exhausted all the possible settings (AFAIK) resuming pings sent to maintain the current session, but always randomly disconnects. is anyone able to share experiences or what I can do to fix this?

  • RDP connection client for Cisco VPN Windows machine

    Hello

I am a linux user and because the cisco client is not available for Linux (Kernel 2.6.34 >) my company has installed a machine VMWare Windows7 so I can install the VPN client of our client of my company. For sure, I don't want to use the Windows machine via the vmware client, so I use through a RDP connection.

Unfortunately, if I set up the VPN, the RDP connection degrades. This seems to be quite common for VPN clients however, it seems to be configurable somehow. I already tried to change the routing table, but it doesn't seem to be a problem with routing. The customer puts a firewall or something like that?

    Thank you

    Kim Neunert

It really depends on how the VPN server is configured? If it's the tunnel to the VPN server, or it has split the configured tunnel.

If it is indeed tunnel all to the VPN server, it will certainly break the local RDP session.

  • Windows 7 Pro does not accept any RDP connection

    Hello

I have a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit of the system which was accepting OFFICE connections remotely without problem, but suddenly she stopped serving the RDP connections.
    Things I checked:
    -Three RDP services are running
    -Switched OFF Windows Firewall
-There are no events registered on the host computer and no events logged on the client
-There is no extra installed firewall software
    -Check the port number registry
-Tried to connect the network to the local ip address of the host
-Installed a packet sniffer, but could not see any attempt to connect to the host
-Tried a systemrestore point for back in time
Is there something I can do?

The problematic DRC host really listens on TCP Port 3389 (or whatever port you can have changed)?

  • Display driver scroll during RDP connections

    I have a user with a 68855TU of . Using Windows 7 64 bit.

    Problem:

When running two screens and the connection to the Terminal Server with dual screen, by dragging the mouse to the top of the computer laptop screen image on both screens will move a few inches.

    The solutions tried so far:

Tried to lower the resolution of the screen on the client side. Issue always happened.
Checked the driver. Through the resolution of the screen-> advanced settings, under one of the tabs there's a checkbox for 'auto-scroll function. Tried with and without this check mark without change. She was arrested, the way I found it.
In the RDP software, checked 'Use all of my monitors for the remote session' (it was off, but all the screens seem to be used). Happened yet scrolling. It's off. Only monitor only had the connection and no scrolling.
Also tried to change the config to display down one step in the RDP connection. Given the laptop, screen size, and no scroll arrived with this configuration.
Tried to use only the laptop screen. No scrolling.
Tried to use only the external display. No scrolling.
Used the Lenovo software to check for driver updates. None found.
Downloaded the latest driver from Lenovo. Pilot in April this year. Update the computer. Reset. Scrolling happens again.
Tried to install the latest Intel drivers for the video chipset. To get the message that it has not yet been approved for use by the manufacturer.

    Any other ideas?

Find my own solution to this problem and found that it exists for about 4 years.

  • Windows Server 2003 r2 64-bit Remote Desktop RDP connection does not

    Hello

I went through most of the support guides I can find on the internet and nothing seems to work.

I enabled and disabled the service. Enabled and disabled Internet connection sharing. I totally disabled the firewall on the server and I can not always connect to the server via RDP

I only get an error message.

Remote Desktop cannot connect to the remote computer to one of the following reasons:

    (1) remote access to the server is not enabled

    (2) the remote computer is disabled

    (3) the remote computer is not available on the network

Make sure that the remote computer is on and connected to the network, and remote access is enabled.

When should I wear analysis server there is no enabled 3389 port. I am using RDP just for administrative purposes. I used to connect to the machine via RDP but one day it just stopped working.

I also checked a few updates selection to determine if they are installed. All updates that might have compatibility problems are not installed on the server.

Any request for information will be answered promptly.

    Thanks in advance.

  • How to encrypt or use ssl with RDP connections

I have my setup (2003) of the home server so that I can make the connections Office XP and other clients remotely.  I configured RDP on the server to use a non-standard port.  For example, I log from the client with something like mydomain.com:1234.

It is working very well, but I wonder if there is a way I can encrypt or use ssl to connect.  If so, do I need to do something on the server, clients, or both?  I am a novice when it comes to network configurations so I need step by step instructions.

    Thanks for your help, Dave.

    Hello

Make sure you use the version 6 and above of the RTD.

V6 and above all have its own encryption of channels.

  • is it possible to print on a printer hp host via usb through a rdp connection?

I have a windows 7 x 64 laptop computer and I connect to my server via Remote Destop.  I try to print in the RDP session to my installed locally (USB) HP Laserjet P1102w.  I redirect the printer very well, but when I try to print it gives me that an error cannot print.  I have the drivers on both machines and also have a network printer that redirects and I have no problems printing this one.

    Hello

Laserjet P1102w as a host-based printer doesn't support Citrix, Terminal Services or Remote Desktop envoirnment.

  • RDP connection constantly dropping.

I currently have a new Dell Latitude E4310 with Windows 7 32 bit installed. I want to connect to my Services Terminal Server in Windows 2000 Server, but the connection drops continually after a variable to stay connected. The connection can last from a few seconds to several minutes, and then the screen freezes for a few seconds, after which an error message indicating "your remote desktop session has finished," appears. This problem does not occur on a Lenovo ThinkPad T400 also running Windows 7 32-bit.

    Steps, I tried:

    (1) RDP Allowed through the firewall.

    (2) disabled the firewall.

    (3) made a "clean boot" with all the elements of start-up and 3rd party services disabled.

    (4) used only the LAN only wired and wireless ethernet separately.

    (5) installed the latest drivers for WLAN and LAN.

    (6) update Windows 7 (client) and Windows 2000 (server)

    (7) reformatted and do a clean install of Windows 7 with only network drivers.

I arrived at the end of my computer skills. If anyone knows how to solve, work around, or just even diagnose the problem, I would be eternally grateful.

You could probably look at ADM templates to find the exact keys. Another thread, http://communities.vmware.com/thread/205121, speaks also where are these keys. You could probably look at a desktop computer that has installed the Agent view and see what the keys are exactly. • RDP connection in view the client session

    Hello

We test see 3.1.2 in a small "lab scenario:

1 view connection server (win2003 R2 SP2, 2 vCPU VM, 3 GB of RAM). No server replica or security.

1 automated pool (3 VM, not persistent, linked clone)

Reading documentation (http://www.vmware.com/pdf/view31_manual.pdf - page 33 to 36) and inspect the connections, we don't understand the customer to view (windows) connects to the server via http (s) connection. Then the server itself starts the RDP session to the virtual desktop VM (see Agent).

Is there a way to configure the connection to the server to behave as a 'simple' - broker for connections (just able to check the credentials of the user and, on this basis, check the resources available) and then allow the client to direct connect vDesktop via RDP?

The goal here is to lighten the load of the server, without losing the 'automated pool' features and benefits...
