RDP connection constantly dropping.

I currently have a new Dell Latitude E4310 with Windows 7 32 bit installed. I want to connect to my Services Terminal Server in Windows 2000 Server, but the connection drops continually after a variable to stay connected. The connection can last from a few seconds to several minutes, and then the screen freezes for a few seconds, after which an error message indicating "your remote desktop session has finished," appears. This problem does not occur on a Lenovo ThinkPad T400 also running Windows 7 32-bit.

Steps, I tried:

(1) RDP Allowed through the firewall.

(2) disabled the firewall.

(3) made a "clean boot" with all the elements of start-up and 3rd party services disabled.

(4) used only the LAN only wired and wireless ethernet separately.

(5) installed the latest drivers for WLAN and LAN.

(6) update Windows 7 (client) and Windows 2000 (server)

(7) reformatted and do a clean install of Windows 7 with only network drivers.

I arrived at the end of my computer skills. If anyone knows how to solve, work around, or just even diagnose the problem, I would be eternally grateful.

I have a new laptop running Windows 7 HP.  I have Time Warner Cable.  I keep losing my Internet connection, but 5 bars indicate that I have an excellent internet connection.  The Trouble Shooter says he can find "without problems."  Any suggestions or solutions?

    Hello

Thank you for the question to Microsoft Community. I'll give my best to help you.

Description number, I understand this wireless connection constantly dropping.

To better understand the issue, answer the following questions.

1 did you changes to the computer before the show?

    3. What is the number of the model of the computer?

You can perform the methods suggested below and check if they will help you solve the problem.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software on the computer and check.

    Disable the anti-virus software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. • The Session RDP connection drops

I have search the Forum of the community, but have not found the answer I'm looking for. I am running Win7 Professional SP1 and use RDP to connect to a computer remotely to corporate headquarters in Europe on a SSLVPN. My RDP session falls randomly at various intervals, that is to say after 2 hours, or five hours or 30 minutes of use.

my boys in the United Kingdom have tested the RDP connection using the same connection methods, however, seem to have successfully the RDP session active for a continuous 24 hours and it has been tested over a period of 5 days (day 1, day 3 and day 5) without any problem at all.
I've exhausted all the possible settings (AFAIK) resuming pings sent to maintain the current session, but always randomly disconnects. is anyone able to share experiences or what I can do to fix this?

My pro iPad connects to the WIFI, but loses connectivity to drops in use.  My other IOS devices (iPhone, macbook, etc.) do not have this problem.  Ideas to solve?

    Hello BrooklynWM!

I definitely want my iPad to stay connected to the Wi - Fi connection while I use it.  Thanks for posting that other iOS and OS X devices have no problem with the connectivity dropping.  We can try a few things.

Would first go through the steps listed in this article: If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connects to a Wi-Fi - Apple Support Network

Then if it does not help, you can check network settings with this: recommended for the WiFi routers and access - points Apple supported

After trying those, if you still see the drop connectivity, make sure the iPad Pro is updated with iOS 9.3.2 and check to see if the connection when you are in a certain place, time, or one event happening elsewhere in the House.

    Best regards.

  • Internet connection keeps dropping out

Have laptop & modem wireless, but internet connection keeps dropping out.  Laptop on 10 m of modem. Providers of broadband & computer help tell their side of things works fine.  What should I do next.

It's not just you that I had questions all night myself as well as others that I know online seems to be a problem with the server somewhere between.

  • Connection Internet drops several times every 5 to 15 minutes

Connection Internet drops several times every 5 to 15 minutes.  It is an old ASUS week ultrabook computer that is running Windows 7 Home Premiuim.  The problem is not the network as 4 other wireless computers work properly. Also, same problem is observed on the other two networks.  Only change in the computer as he received is the addition of Kapersky anti-virus and Microsoft Office 2003.  Problem seems to be with Windows 7.  The yellow triangle of death appears on connection bars when the problem occurs.  Disconnect and reconnect the Internet solves the problem for another 5 to 15 minutes.

It seems to me that it is a possible driver with the card built into your new laptop wireless. You can consider using Device Manager to check to see if there are problems reported with the wireless adapter. Also, I suggest that you visit the manufacturer of the laptop and get the latest available wireless drivers for that brand and model.

You could also have a hunt in the event log and see if there is any additional details that might shed some light as to why the wireless network has decreased. That his fall is one thing, but the log events might suggest a few reasons for this.

  • RDP connection client for Cisco VPN Windows machine

    Hello

I am a linux user and because the cisco client is not available for Linux (Kernel 2.6.34 >) my company has installed a machine VMWare Windows7 so I can install the VPN client of our client of my company. For sure, I don't want to use the Windows machine via the vmware client, so I use through a RDP connection.

Unfortunately, if I set up the VPN, the RDP connection degrades. This seems to be quite common for VPN clients however, it seems to be configurable somehow. I already tried to change the routing table, but it doesn't seem to be a problem with routing. The customer puts a firewall or something like that?

    Thank you

    Kim Neunert

It really depends on how the VPN server is configured? If it's the tunnel to the VPN server, or it has split the configured tunnel.

If it is indeed tunnel all to the VPN server, it will certainly break the local RDP session.

  • Windows 7 Pro does not accept any RDP connection

    Hello

I have a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit of the system which was accepting OFFICE connections remotely without problem, but suddenly she stopped serving the RDP connections.
    Things I checked:
    -Three RDP services are running
    -Switched OFF Windows Firewall
-There are no events registered on the host computer and no events logged on the client
-There is no extra installed firewall software
    -Check the port number registry
-Tried to connect the network to the local ip address of the host
-Installed a packet sniffer, but could not see any attempt to connect to the host
-Tried a systemrestore point for back in time
Is there something I can do?

The problematic DRC host really listens on TCP Port 3389 (or whatever port you can have changed)?

  • Solved: LAN T500 connection constantly sinks

    Hello.

I just bought a (used) T500 and installed Win7 (64 bit). It works great so far, except that it has some problems with our network at work. I already talked to our it guy, and he assured me, that my settings (IP address, Server DNS etc.) are all correct.

The connection is not the real problem, this is the outfit of the connection. At irregular intervals (at the beginning, often after a few seconds or a few minutes later it lasts longer) the connection just drops. It is restored directly afterwards, as seen easily in the center of the network. But it takes some time, and this constant fall-restore-fall is a bit annoying, especially if you want to keep a permanent connection to a different workstation.

WiFi instead of my parents and wide broadband (DSL) home work very well. I also tried to connect my laptop to various points of access to work, using different network cables, but no difference. In all cases, the laptop was powered by AC and the plan "a power optimal power source" chosen.

Of course the latest drivers via Windows and the Lenovo system update are installed. There is no error message in Device Manager, or the ThinkVantage Productivity Center.

So far, only two options come to mind:
    (a) it is a hardware error (e.g. loose contact) in the NIC (Intel 85267LM Gigabit), which means that I have to send the laptop for Lenovo. I still have the guarantee, but it might take some time until what I'll be back. But then, should not the connection broadband affected as well? At least the cables are connected to the same port.
    (b) it is a kind of software error. Maybe, I just forgot to check or uncheck a characteristic of Win7 (ours IT has not yet acquired so much experience with Win7). I already uninstalled "Access Connections" because I heard that in some cases (especially Wifi) it can collide with the standard windows programs. Once again with no results.

So, if anyone here has a good idea (or need additional information) do not hesitate to say.

    Volker

    Hey Andy, sys3175.

Thanks for your suggestions, but I just finally found the solution.

In its obviousness, I dare hardly to admit it, but the perpetrator was founded the ethernet hub, I had to use due to the fact that our local network is always BNC and I have no card adapter for my laptop. For me there is to say that at the beginning I knew, too, but then ruled, because

    (a) my desktop pc worked fine with it, in a trial (although a test quite short at the beginning), and

    (b) I have connected my laptop to hub my colleague, who use it for more than a year (but with his pc) and still had the drop reconnection problem.

So I assumed a problem with my laptop. But apparently

    (a) our desktop pc seems to be more tolerant on the quality of the connection as my laptop. Because when I have connected my pc and my laptop to my hub, and this time has worked with them all day, leaving the download of large amounts of data (> 1 GB), the pc indeed received "network cable unplugged" messages, but only two or three times, while the laptop has repeatedly its abandonment. And

    (b) hub my colleague seems to have the same problem as mine, because today I had the opportunity to connect my laptop to two other, different regional centers here at work and voila, stable connection.

So the good news is, that, probably, everything is fine with my network card, the bad news, I have to get a new hub (not the easiest thing for the BNC and probably don't bother given the short remaining time here) or I have to live with the annoying dropouts.

Sorry for the setting on the wrong path with the network card, but nevertheless thank you for your support.

  • Display driver scroll during RDP connections

    I have a user with a 68855TU of . Using Windows 7 64 bit.

    Problem:

When running two screens and the connection to the Terminal Server with dual screen, by dragging the mouse to the top of the computer laptop screen image on both screens will move a few inches.

    The solutions tried so far:

Tried to lower the resolution of the screen on the client side. Issue always happened.
Checked the driver. Through the resolution of the screen-> advanced settings, under one of the tabs there's a checkbox for 'auto-scroll function. Tried with and without this check mark without change. She was arrested, the way I found it.
In the RDP software, checked 'Use all of my monitors for the remote session' (it was off, but all the screens seem to be used). Happened yet scrolling. It's off. Only monitor only had the connection and no scrolling.
Also tried to change the config to display down one step in the RDP connection. Given the laptop, screen size, and no scroll arrived with this configuration.
Tried to use only the laptop screen. No scrolling.
Tried to use only the external display. No scrolling.
Used the Lenovo software to check for driver updates. None found.
Downloaded the latest driver from Lenovo. Pilot in April this year. Update the computer. Reset. Scrolling happens again.
Tried to install the latest Intel drivers for the video chipset. To get the message that it has not yet been approved for use by the manufacturer.

    Any other ideas?

  • WRT320N constantly drop connection

I have a router WRT320N.  He is constantly declining internet connection and it is very difficult to restore when this happens.  Basically, I have to wait is "feels like" reconnect.  If I just wait, the connection will return.

This affects not only wireless, but Wired so computers.

One interesting thing I noticed, is that the login page changes when the internet connection.  If I put the address 192.168.1.1 in the browser when internet is not working, I get a different login page that looks like this:

    Link

My regular connection password or the default password works on this page.  I was not able to guess no more.  This could be a clue for someone who knows more than me on this problem.

I read a few threads on this forum and adjusted the settings in the configuration of the router which have been proposed as solutions.  I don't remember any changes, but that they had something to do with the packet size and PNP or something similar.  I always have problems.

It's really frustrating.  When I need to do something important, I have to bypass the router to get a stable connection.  Help, please

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike

I think I have solved my problem.  The Linksys WRT320N router's default IP address is 192.168.1.1.  I changed the IP address of the router 192.168.0.1 and it suddenly cleared up.  I ran two days without a drop of water at this stage.

I think that there is another device somewhere in cyberspace that was the IP 192.168.1.1 and is in conflict with my router.  This is why I would like to get this page to connect to the strange search I didn't recognize when you try to connect to the router configuration menus.  I know that this unknown device wasn't my cable modem because it has an address 192.168.100.1.  I don't know what is the unknown device or where it is located.

So if you have a similar problem, try changing the IP address of your Linksys router.

  • iPad / iPhone drop connection constantly

I have a line electric WLAN system based on the modem provided by my ISP and a time Capsule Airport (in my office), three cards of Ethernet ZyXEL PLA4211 500 Mbps Mini Powerline Pass-Thru and two Apple Express stations in my bedroom and a living room, where I also have Apple TV. (iMac late 2013, El Capitan utility 10.11.3, Airport 6.3.6). First thing: everything works. I should mention that I have a very strong fast Internet connection (wireless to iMac Time Capsule). Everything is green and I can always listen to my music from the computer via Apple TV. The problem with my iPad and iPhone. If I move from one region to the other, I usually get a message telling me that the device cannot connect to the server. The only way I can get it to work is to switch to a different network, then back to the regular or restart the device. Once I did, everything is OK. If the problem doesn't lie with the network. It's as if there is something needs to be restarted every time. It is an annoyance, but gets on my nerves. Any help appreciated.

  • Windows 8 constantly drop my network connection

    Hello

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 Pro on a HP Pavilion dv4 and now I lose internet connection several times per hour.

I get a screen of type "fix the problem" where it will run through a series of patches and usually say something about the network or Ethernet card, or it's the adapter or access point wireless.  This fixes usually there for awhile and then he is gone again.

Often when this loss of connection arrives it will be totally lose the connection to the network and say he doesn't see not all networks at all.  Generally, I have to restart my PC to fix this or run the fixer of wireless connection.

I thought it was the modem so I called the internet provider and after a series of tactics in the event of problem, they replaced the modem.  I received the new modem 3 days ago and I still have the same issues. I checked the status of my modem and it still says connected when I have this problem. Sure that means that it is a gesture of challenge was the upgrade of Windows 8.  My children have a Windows 7 PC and it connects fine.

I checked on several Internet sites, ran all the tests and ladies.  I can't change my driver, it is not an option

Thank you in advance for your help, I really appreciate any help!

    Hello

Thank you for your response.  To answer your questions:

    1. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem? -Yes, I've upgraded to Windows 8, it's at the beginning of this boredom

    2. What is the full error you receive when you run the network troubleshooter utility? He says many different things at different times.  Often, it says something about the Ethernet or wireless network adapter. The last time he did he said "Default gateway is not available"

It was the worst and the worst, I am only connected about 10 minutes and then loss of connection.

    3. What is the model of the computer? I have a HP Pavilion dv4 - 5113cl

I tried to update my drivers, he said that I have the latest drivers.

I looked for the resolution of the program compatibility problems and he did not find in the search.  However if I right click on a program I can run.  When I did it for the WiDi, he opened the program to check it out - he said, I have not had any available adapter.  I wonder if it's some of my problem, and how do I fix this?

    Help, please.

I recently bought a HP etil did the same thing. I tried all the updates without success. Then I tried to disable all power settings and it did not help. What I eventually found that the fix was in the wireless router. I was running n with WPA2 and the mode is set to "until 300MPS. I changed it to "up to 145MPS' even routers aide said that 300 may be unstable for some equipment. You can try to change your router and see what he does. If this does not help, you can always set it back.
