RDP connection client for Cisco VPN Windows machine

Hello

I am a linux user and because the cisco client is not available for Linux (Kernel 2.6.34 >) my company has installed a machine VMWare Windows7 so I can install the VPN client of our client of my company. For sure, I don't want to use the Windows machine via the vmware client, so I use through a RDP connection.

Unfortunately, if I set up the VPN, the RDP connection degrades. This seems to be quite common for VPN clients however, it seems to be configurable somehow. I already tried to change the routing table, but it doesn't seem to be a problem with routing. The customer puts a firewall or something like that?

Thank you

Kim Neunert

It really depends on how the VPN server is configured? If it's the tunnel to the VPN server, or it has split the configured tunnel.

If it is indeed tunnel all to the VPN server, it will certainly break the local RDP session.

VPN server is high and does not work and accepts connections, this problem is entirely on the client side.

  • Configuration of Cisco for Cisco VPN Client ASA 5505

Our firm has finally made the move from Sonicwall Cisco for our SMB customers. Got our first customer with a VPN site-to site solid and you have configured the main router for connections via the Cisco VPN Client VPN Wizard.

When I install the VPN Client on desktop computers that does not capture all the necessary options (unless you have a SSL VPN). I guess that there is a process that I am missing to export a connection profile that Cisco VPN Client users can import for their connection.

There step by step guides to create the connection profile file to distribute to customers?

    Hello

The ASDM wizard is for the configuration on the SAA. This wizard will help you complete the VPN configuration on the end of the ASA.

You will need to set the same in the client, so that they can negotiate and connect.

Input connection in the client field, that's what you want to be seen that on the VPN client - it can be any name

Host will be the external ip address of the ASA.

    Group options:

name - same tunnel as defined on the ASA group
Password - pre-shared as on ASA.

Confirm password - same pre-shared key.

Once this is over, you will see the customer having an entry same as a login entry. You must click on connect there. He will be a guest user and the password. Please enter the login crendentials. VPN connects.

You can distribute the .pcf file that is formed at the place mentioned in the post above. Once the other client receive the .pcf, they need to import it by clicking this tab on the VPN client.

    Kind regards

    Anisha

  • Unable to connect via the Cisco VPN Client

    Hello

I have configured remote access VPN to ASA and tries to connect via the Cisco VPN Client 5.0

I am not able to connect and watch the journal on the SAA

ASA-3-713902: Group = xxxxx, IP = x.x.x.x, withdrawal homologous peer table is placed, no match!

ASA-4-713903: Group = xxxxx, IP x.x.x.x, error: impossible to rmeove PeerTblEntry

ASA does not support the K9 i.e. VPN - DES is enabled and VPN-3DES-AES is disabled.

    What could be the reason.

    Concerning

Hi, I had this same problem, here is the solution:

When you perform a debug crypto isakmp 255, so you see that the cisco vpn client does not support SHA +, you must use MD5 + AN or sha with 3DES/AES.

Be careful, this debugging is very talkative, but that's the only way I found to get ITS proposal on debugging.

Well, change your strategy using MD5 isakmp / OF would do the trick.

  • Unable to connect to the Cisco VPN using the branch line

    Hello

We use Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0290 to connect to our servers. We have a Sonicwall NSA2400 FW and we have 2 ISPS. We have configured load balancing on firewalls in mode 'Spill-Over '.

So whenever the 1st line is on full charge, it will automatically moves users on the 2nd line.

The problem that we face here is the users who get 1st line ISP, they can easily connect to the client VPN Cisco IP, but the users who receive the IP of the 2nd line of the ISP, they are not able to connect to the Cisco VPN Client. It's really annoying because everyone should be able to connect.

It will be really great if someone can help me as well.

    Thank you

PS: If Exchange us the line of Sonicwall haapens scenario of Vice versa as mentioned above.

    Hello Sam,.

Correct me if I help you,.

In your network that is inside the firewall, you are trying to connect to Cisco VPn client resides outside your network/Public network.

If the above is the question.

Please check the routes and roads of sonicwall priority.

    example:

Isps1: the value of the metric as 1 for traffic destined for cisco VPn IP of the gateway and specify to leave traffic isps1 interface

ISP2: set the metric 1 once again for the traffic to cisco VPn IP of the gateway and specify to leave traffic ISP2 interface

  • Problems to connect via the Cisco VPN client IPSec of for RV180W small business router

    Hello

I tried to configure my router Cisco of RV180W as a customer VPN IPSec, but have encountered a problem that I hope someone can help me with. I've read around the internet and a number of people seem to say that the Cisco VPN Client is not compatible with the router, but the same thing happens to my iPhone VPN client.

Is it possible that this can be implemented? Below, I have attached the full configuration files and the log files. Thank you much in advance.

Hi all. I recently configured a 5510 ASA to allow remote access using the Cisco VPN client. The problem is that everything works fine when I connect using a modem classic or on a computer with a public address that I use for testing purposes, but whenever I try to connect with on an ADSL line, I can't access to the resources. I have connection and after that nothing, I can not achieve anything.

It looks like your home network is using the same ip as your work network range. I recommend you to choose a new range for your home network that is not identified in the routing table updates in your newspapers.

    For example: 10.255.255.0/24

    Best regards

  • Unable to connect as user sys on Windows machine

    Hi all.

I feel the pain to get everything to move on a Windows machine, try to administer Oracle (I am a boy of Unix).

I can't connect to the db as user sys (I can like system and other schemes):

    C:\Windows\System32 > sqlplus / as sysdba

SQL * more: Production of release 11.2.0.1.0 kills him Aug 4 08:55:39 2015

Copyright (c) 1982, 2010, Oracle.  All rights reserved.

    ERROR:
    ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

    Enter the user name:

Y at - it somewhere that I can go to solve this problem? I'm totally lost!

    Oracle 11.2

    Windows 2008 R2, Enterprise Edition.

Thank you in advance, I feel like a total noob.

    DA

I think that the system user that you use cannot be in the dba group, so it didn't have the sysdba privilege.

Is this a user/pass @ as sysdba works?

  • Client VPN sail to 10.0.0.0 when you are connected to the Cisco VPN

I have a cisco ASA that provides access remote vpn for users. The address pool is 10.16.135.x. When a user (windows) connects to the VPN, a route to 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 is added to the routing table. If the private IP address of the user is in the 10.x.x.x range, the user can still connect to its local network. However, if the user has a remote site that also uses 10.x.x.x, the user is no longer able to connect to the remote site because of the 10.0.0.0 new road is added after the vpn connection is established.

    10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 on a 10.16.135.217 route 281

    10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 10.0.0.1 10.16.135.217 100

    10.16.135.217 255.255.255.255 on a 10.16.135.217 route 281

    Small,

Can you please set the pool like this:

    mask 10.16.1.10 - 10.16.1.254 255.255.255.0 IP local pool Subnet_10

Test again and I would like to know the results.

  • WRT1200AC/1900AC WIRED Intermittent connectivity software company (Cisco) VPN - resolved

I work from a Home Office 24 x 7 as a software engineer supporting the business intelligence world production for a credit/bank card issuer applications - so my 'stuff' has to work.  My components materials network and the machines are "top-shelf."  I recently added a WRT1900AC router and have started to feel the intermittent connectivity WIRED to VPN my company (Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client).  To be clear, this has nothing to do with the setting of the OpenVPN server is available via the user interface of the Linksys Smart Wi - Fi.  In any case, after many hours of research and changes the configuration on the router (with a significant amount of curse and aggravation), I solved the problem by using the areas of prioritization of media and bandwidth downstream from the HMI.  Question a also experienced, but to a lesser extent, during the wireless connection.  It was confusing, since generally the when router problems occur, they seem to be more related to the Wi - Fi connection rather than wired.  Anyway, I wanted to share this info with other poor souls that might have been ostrasized of their family, friends and colleagues as a result of this almost apocalyptic puzzle.

You are welcome. Happy holidays! Certainly happy to clarify as needed.
