• Data output DASYLab stop after 10 points

  Let me Preface everything by saying: I'm a novice at this. Now that's the road...

  I'm having a problem getting more than 10 data points to save in an output file. I'm sure it's a conflict of implementation, but I have no chance to understand.

  I have two tasks in Measurement & Automation Explorer: the first strain 4 check gage, signals of temperature 2 second record. Strain gage signals are coming in a NI 9237 module and the thermocouples are coming in a NI 9211; the two sat in a NOR cDAQ-9188.

  DASYLab (v13), I have the configuration shown in the attached image:

  

  When I click on Play, everything seems to work fine (i.e., no error message), but when I stop and open the CSA generated there are only 10 data points, a point every 0.1 second for 1 second.

  Can someone point me in the direction of the parameters that control the collection of data, either in DASYLab M & AE? Thank you!

  As I was typing a reply, I noticed something in the Timing settings in the tasks of M & AE. The acquisition Mode has been set on ' n of samples. I changed the mode of 'continuous samples', and he is now recording as I expected. I still don't know what has been defining the "N" like 10, because the samples to read has been fixed at 10 k, but since it now seems to work I'll leave that for another day. Thanks again

  I use a DAQ Assistant to output a 0 - 5V signal. I added a Triangle pattern at the entrance of the DAQ Assistant.

  Well FYI I reinstalled the view connection server only, leaving the ADLDS Instance still installed. All restarted and everything now works again.

  Satellite of Qosmio X 770/00 X - HDMI problem

  My external monitor works well as office extended for more than a year now, - up to that I turned on my laptop of setting standby extended today.

  The external monitor does not wake up after I logged in my computer.

  HP x 2301 external monitor connected via HDMI. Laptop detects the presence of the monitor, monitor detects the presence of a HDMI connection.

  Monitor indicates 'no signal' and back to 'sleep' mode.

  Reports of laptop monitor is properly connected and that the different modes are active.

  Monitor works fine when using VGA connection between the monitor and the laptop.

  I hear material disconnect/connect "Dong" from time to time despite NOTHING being connected/disconnected.

  I have tried to unplug the monitor, plug back, setting screen resolution, exchange between extend and duplicate patterns, restart, turn off the power, changing the order of power, replacing the HDMI cable.

  I suspect a faulty HDMI port.

  Hmm, sounds like HDMI port number but I think you should try workarounds just to be 100% sure of this anomaly.

  First of all, try this.

  Turn off the laptop. Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.
  Press and hold the button for 30 seconds approximately. Then connect the pieces and turn the power on the unit. Now, go to BIOS (F2) and set it to default settings. Save the changes and start the machine. Now test the HDMI connection, once more.

  Where the HDMI wouldn t work, I would recommend you to retrieve the computer laptop back to factory settings. To do this, you must use the (medium) Toshiba Recovery disk or the HARD drive recovery procedure. Both procedures would format the HARD drive and therefore, you should back up your important data before performing the recovery.

  I posted here in hope that someone can give me some advice.

  The system in Question is:

  • HP Pavilion a6340a desktop computer. Double heart
  • Vista 32 bit SP2.
  • NVIDIA GF8400GS
  • COMPRO Video mate Vista TV Capture card.
  • 2 GB of RAM.

  It is a bit of an older system, I guess, but it plays well as a HTPC for a while now. It has a small LCD monitor connected via the standard connection and a large flat screen Toshiba TV connected via HDMI. He did a great job.

  Today, the HDMI output just stopped. The Toshiba TV again to survey/is visible in the Nvidia Control Panel and the Vista Control Panel when it is connected to the HDMI. the implementation of the features of multiple monitors are available. But there is nothing happening on TV.

  Things has tried so far.

  • Two different Cables HDMI - nothing.
  • Connected my Pavilion Notebook DV6 on the same HDMI port on the TV - works fine.
  • Installed the latest driver from Nvidia - nothing.
  • Tried all the three HDMI ports on the TV - nothing.
  • Physically, shot the video card in the computer, he dusted off and reassembled it. -Nothing.

  I don't understand. Could this be a processor problem, or I have to pay for a new video card? Is it possible to test the output from the HDMI port with a multimeter or something? I do not understand why it would stop just like that. I just installed Vista SP2 a few weeks ago, but it was working well after I did.

  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. The system is out of warranty, of course, but it has been a great HTPC for me. I stuck a blu - ray inside player and I was about to give him another 2 GB of RAM.

  The short answer is: replace the video card VNvidia GF8400GS. If you happen to have another video card around laying which has an output and HDMI, then install it for a test. It's the fastest way to solve the problem.

• Outputs analog BNC-2120 to stop working randomly

  I have a BNC-2120 Module. I have the analog outputs implemented with an Assist DAQ. I'm running a square wave, or triangle wave at a very slow pace (.35 Hertz). I'm tracking signals with a waveform graph just before going to the modules DAQ help. The system works well anywhere from a few minutes to 25 minutes. The results seem to just stop working, but I still see the signal on the graphic display of waveform. I think that the BNC-2120 module has some questions. Someone had a problem where the output just stop working? I look in my program of VI?

• Write on the Labview EXE Console Ran STANDARD output

  Anyone know if it is possible to write on the STANDARD of a Labview EXE output when run from a Windows console? I don't want to say calling an external my Labview code EXE using the Exec.vi system and get the standard output of the external exe returned to Labview but rather run my EXE Labview as an application of console se and have the Labview application a pass/fail result final to stdout to the output console.

  I found this post which allows to accept command line arguments, but I have not found a clear method to write to the standard output.

  I did this VI, but there's a mistake in there and I don't think it's solvable like that.
  The triangular output signal should start when I press the Boolean value. Otherwise, the DAQ Assistant mette 0V.
  When I press the button stop the DAQ Assistant also needs to 0V

• 'DAC reference ground connection' property causes the other channel to stop working

  The DAC reference connect to the ownership of the land can not be set for each channel.  In the LV help for this property (right click on the property in the property node and go to help for AO. DAC. Ref.ConnToGnd to go to the specific help page) it says:

  Grounding the internal DAC reference has the effect of grounding of all channels of analog output and stop the generation of waveform on all channels of analog output independently know if channels belong to the task at hand.

  If you can't limit what output channels will be grounded, it will be on the ground all channels that have the reference set inside.  If you try to change the property ' link DAC refers to the ground "to False for some channels and true for other channels, you will get the error 200106: property must have the same value for all channels on the device.

  A solution for this is instead set the DAC reference to the ground, put the source on the outside, and use APFI 0.  What you could do is outwardly wire GND AO for the APFI 0 (pin 20).  Then set the DAC reference outside.  The problem is that unlike the DAC reference connect to the ownership of land, which can be changed during execution of the task, the source of reference property is not editable during execution of the task.

  In this topic, we will discuss some of the common problems that have been observed using devices with LabVIEW on Windows operating systems.  Many of these points apply also in other environments, but the examples will use the Windows 7 operating system.

  FAQ 1: USB device stops working unexpectedly.

  3) PROTECT connections HUB-if you have a USB 2.0 device and Joe User plugs in a 1.0 device into an open slot, managed by the same hub-Bingo all ports on the rear hub can convert USB1.0.  WORSE, there are a lot of damaged or marginally engineered USB devices out there.  Joe User should cause power fluctuations when it is inserted or removed from the hub just don't let it happen!

  FAQ3: I test USB devices and the operating system can not find more.

  It is a Plug-and-Play feature that deserves exposure.  When you connect a device P - n - P BONE remembers his serial number in an entry in HKEY registry (hive-Key).  This is useful when (for example), you want a specific instrument, say a NOR-USB-6008, to appear as a device DAQmx with VISA Alias "MyDAQ1" whenever it is plugged.  On the other hand, if you want to test a range of USB-serial converters that can be problematic because the pilot of P-n-P will mount the first serial number like "COM3" and the other as "COM4" Add infinitum until the controller of the enumerator in the registry and the VISA recognized alias adjust upward.  Solution: use the Windows registry API and the API of hardware in LabVIEW to clear unused VISA alias and HKEY entered.   Speak with your professional COMPUTING staff structure HKEY and possible side effects before developing a plan to modify registry entries.
