Overdrive media software
I recently downloaded an audio book and also overdrive media software. I can still ' [t open the book and don't know how to do this.] I thought that I should update my Media Player and to acquire a license. ???
In fact do not take into account this last link. I'm sorry, I just found this link better.
Try this link instead (this is for Windows 7). It is directly from Microsoft and it's much more reliable.

Help - conflict Overdrive Media windows 7
Every since I downloaded the Overdrive Media software, I had conflicts with orders to run windows 7 for example, 10 minutes to connect to the internet. I'm a not connected icon that I've never seen before. Windows cannot trouble shoot, search command does not, the other windows command work do not. However, my software such as MS office applications work fine. I had start up problems, however. Everyone knows about these problems? Most of my Windows 7 commands do not work and or run slowly. I can access windows media, so I'm not having this problem. I have a windows 7 laptop corei7.
Thank you.I thought that it's perhaps a conflict as well. Lately the computer works fine as if this problem has never occurred. If it happens again, I'll have to take your advice. -

whitepawn23,
Are you having to provide updates through Windows Update? If so, I suggest that you perform a clean boot , and then run Windows update. If you continue to have a problem with a certain update you need to download and install it manually. Alternatively, you can consider removing the Overdrive program and new test.

Impossible software update Overdrive Media Console get message unable to update unit
Original title: when I tried to upgrade my safety for Overdrive Media Console, I clicked on update, and it downloaded, and then told me that it could not update my device. What to do next?
I recently bought a new laptop and downloaded the Overdrive Media Console software on the site Bibliomation. Could not download software for my Creative Zen Stone Plus MP3 player (Creative Media Light) as it is no longer supported. I was hoping that if I downloaded on Overdrive, it can transfer into the MP3 player so it was plugged into a USB port. Overdrive doesn't let me download the audiobook without upgrading to 2.0.5.1 but when I tried, I went through the process given on drmlicence.one.microsoft.com/indivsite and obtained through the download-only to be told that it could not update my device. Can someone tell me what gives and what I can do next? I can't live without audio books.
Hello
I understand that not able to update software Overdrive Media Console is not a pleasant experience.

Then open this page:
http://drmlicense.one.Microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp
and choose the upgrade option.I got information on how to do it here:

I have a new Dell Inspiron running Windows 8.1. I also loaded from office of Overdrive Media Console. When I go to my library and select an audiobook and click on 'Download' the system asks me if I want to open it or save it to a location. In the past, under XP, the system just open Overdrive Media console and downloaded this application. Why 8.1 don't let me do the same thing?
Which varies a little on the browser you use.
For Internet Explorer
When you click on the download link of file like this link here, you will be greeted with a prompt like this. Click on Open and the file should open in the program, so that it is associated with.
For Chrome
Chrome saves the file first, before giving you the choice to run it. Then click on the link (and choose a backup location if you have not defined a default value), then when it is done downloading, click on the file in the Chrome icon to launch (it will also start using the associated program)
You can have a default download location too. If worry of browsers allow you to choose the default download manager download location. That, itself, all is Ctrl + J in both browsers.

Windows Media Player 11 - DRM with OverDrive Media Console problem

I also noticed that when I click on the OverDrive Media Console software, the system information section States the following: "version of Windows Media Player DRM:
. I'm used to be able to listen to these audio books using the OverDrive Media Console, and Windows Media Player software. Why I get this message now? I would add that I recently had my laptop computer upgraded to a newer version that is different. Can this be part of the problem? How can I fix it? Thank you.
Alex
This is because the ProgramData folder exists only under Windows Vista/7. To reset the DRM system, follow the instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929642 (article mention Zune, but can be applied in more general cases too). Tim Baets
