The smaller input range is 100mV and with a resolution of 12bits, it gives a resolution in volts of 0.0244 mV or 24uV. If I compare this value with the K type thermocouple NIST table (in degrees celsius):

  1 ° C: 0,039 mV

  2 ° C: 0,079 mV

  So I should get a resolution of less than 1 ° C. Even if this is not the best card for this application...

  The map got a resolution finer than the sensor itself.

  Your problem must come from your sensor.

  Card PCMCIA-6036E has a STC chip that does not support the encoding position because there is no support of Z. It must be resolved in the software and using the edge counting.

• Tecra A4 and Win7 - problems with PCMCIA card driver

  I've recently updated my old laptop Tecra A4 - PTA42E - (in great condition however) for Windows 7 and it is now in the best shape ever except for the PCMCIA card. In fact, to have Windows 7 installed I had to rename the pcmcia.sys and pcmcia.inf files during the installation (to .old or .bak) otherwise the new operating system would not start. The same problem has been experienced by many other users Tecra A4 and the solution is available in a number of forums.

  Although I use no more than the PCMCIA card slot, I want to fix this for a reason: If, in the future, I need to re - install Windows 7 for some reason any on this laptop, I have to repeat the same process - rename the pcmcia.sys and pcmcia.inf during installation, in addition, the new operating system does not start.

  I do not understand that the original drivers from the card slot (Texas Instruments PCI-xx21/xx11 CardBus Controller with UltraMedia) are not compatible with Windows 7, but it is there any updated driver that works for windows 7?   The pcmcia.sys and pcmcia.inf files are part of the Windows System.
  This driver isn't provided by laptop manufacturer, but it is a Microsoft internal driver.

• Satellite A100-259 and PCMCIA card reader no longer works

  I have a Satellite A100-259, I've had for about a year with no problems... so far, the PCMCIA card slot reader seems to have stopped working.

  Try to access the BIOS and set the defaults.
  Don t forget to save the settings after the change.

  By the way; Are you trying to reinstall the PCMCIA driver?
  Go to the Device Manager and remove the PCMCIA computer location.
  Then restart the laptop and check if Windows detects and installs the removed slot.

  Sometimes, the operating system can not recognize external USB devices due to the limitation of power. The fact is that the USB port gives the 500mA. It is a standard value.

  Have you tried installing WXP again using Toshiba Recovery CD?
  I mean it's so old model of laptop and I can't imagine that Toshiba will offer this update of the BIOS so long if there is a serious problem with it.

  The card appears as an unknown device in the "remove hardware" - tool.

  In Device Manager it does not at all appear and Windows did not ask for the driver.

  It looks like a card damaged, but still, this card works fine in another laptop!
  The problem could be related to different areas of memory used by the Cardservice.

  The Cardservice of the 3480 ct seems not be configurable.

  The PCMCIA card doesn't need a driver!
  To my knowledge, you must check the settings in the BIOS!

  On the second page of the BIOS, you should try to change the configuration of device for all devices and in the section of PC card, you must set the controller to Cardbus/16-bit mode

• PROTECTED R100: How to start OS on PCMCIA card

  Long story short: I need to start an operating system (any OS - BACK/LINUX) on my R100 to something other than the HARD drive.

  Listed in the BIOS boot options are FDD (don't have - not sure if Toshiba even did), CDROM (mine is defective), network (I would rather avoid that road) and the HARD drive. The suboption HDD has "PC Card" and "HARD drive built-in" option.

  It would seem that the best option is to use the disk with the "PC Card" Option.
  I'm assuming that this means that the PCMCIA card slot and assuming that I can use a PCMCIA flash memory card.
  So a PCMCIA card with an OS bootable on the subject can be seen in Solution Explorer, however, trying to make it boot from it I get a message "insert system disk".

  My questions are:
  -I am correctly understand the BIOS option and the r100 is supposed to start out of a PCMCIA card, if you have selected the option "HDD/PC Card.
  -You have to do something special to make the bootable PCMCIA card?

  This PC is retired without a solution here, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  The R100 may use the PCMCIA port to start the external PCMCIA CD/DVD drive and you can use this port to boot from external HDD PCMCIA.
  To be honest I have boot t n of the PCMCIA HDD but this should be possible.

  I have the Portege M200, when I insert a PCMCIA card (LAN or wireless) the pc detects it ok but if I insert a modem PCMCIA ANY, as a standard 56 k modem, modem card v620 air verizon or a sierra wireless aircard 710, the pc does not detect any, nothing happens when I put it in or out.

  When you insert the card, Win2k recognizes the card, but when the I plug the network cable, it does not recognize the connection. Cable is fine. It seems there is no power on the PCMCIA card. I read on some forums that there is a problem with the Topic100 Card Bus driver and voltage. I see that many people have the problem but not where to find the driver for the problem :-/ I couldn't find a driver on toshiba support site. A
