P10 - intel 2200BG - XP Home - my home WLAN

I did a lot of research on the subject, but I would like to have the experience of the people here...

I read that switch led Blue will not work unless you attach pine #13: true or not on the P10?

But who cares about the switch and the blue led anyway, as:
-J' I barely never goes out the connection.
-If I need to, it is possible to network activity and control panel can be verified in the lower-right corner next to the clock network connections.

My real question is: 2200BG actualy does work with the P10 without strapping anything (I don't like the switch and the light considering)?
You have to install the following software Intel or just the driver?

I used the XP pro SP2 tools to connect wifi without problems a Dell D610 (WPA - PSK, netgear wg602-point of access): If anyone sees any point to add more software?

Thanks for the input folks!

PS: it's just for my home WLAN, the P10 will never be connected to a public wifi network

Hello

I put t not see why wireless 2200BG card shouldn't work properly with your P10. If you want to have a good information on this partner just service can give you an appropriate response.

If you buy this card the driver will be bundled with it. After installation, you can configure the WIFI connection using the parameters of windows without installation of any software Intel (client WLAN). The configuration is very easy and if you need help please still writes.

I installed an Intel 2200BG (Toshiba part No.G86C0000X310) Wifi card in my Satellite A30. I tried to load a number of different versions of Intel drivers, but whenever I activate the driver of that laptop computer crashes. I've seen other messages indicating that they got this card works by pin 11 and 13 with masking tape, I tried this.

Has anyone else seen and solved my problem?

    Hi Andy

Before that you purchased this card did you check compatibility with your model of laptop with the cards?

By the way: all laptops A30 aren't ready WLAN. For example, A30 - 514 is WLAN ready and compatible Wireless LAN card is PA3212U-1MPC. Check it!

  • Tecra A4: Wlan Intel 2200bg not stable with 802.11 G WLan

With the latest driver re-installed (9.0.4.39), I found a connection to a network of 'g' was unstable. (A little better than before you reinstall, when it connect to a network of 'g', but does not have all the data.)

With a BT Homehub, now a router DLink DSL-2640R (TalkTalk) I found that to have a stable connection with the latest version of the driver is to configure the router to use only 'b' network. But it's slower.

Until I got a different router (recent change of telco provider) I assumed it was a problem of BT Homehub (believe me, I had spent some time trying to solve the issue!). However, now that I've tried both routers and found the same problem, I thought it would be a problem with the configuration of the laptop...

I kept many downloads wireless driver I have installed and tried to think of the happy times when cell phones and the homehub were happy to communicate on a network of 'g '. I went back to 9.0.4.17 driver version and guess what, all problems disappeared with the new router, and fortunately it is connected to a network of 'g '.

Normally, the Council is to use the latest version of the driver, then why I would have success with an older driver. What have I done wrong? I tried different types of encryption available and it did not affect the problem.

I've got the box to allow windows to configure my network. I when I tried using the software Proset, but who stopped the ConfigFree to run correctly so I went back to the original set upward there.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I have to do to get a stable connection to a network of 'g' with an Intel 2200bg with the latest driver (9.0.4.39)? I am suspicious that I can run into other issues if I continue to use the old driver?

There are always problems of compatibility with wireless products, particularly when connecting different brands. Manufacturers are constantly updating the drivers for the problems, but sometimes it can introduce problems with old ones as the 2200BG card.

First thing to do is update the firmware on your router, and then update the drivers for the wireless adapter. If later drivers do not work, it won't hurt to return to a previous version.

You can also try to change the advanced settings in the properties of wireless adapters in Device Manager. For example, try the configuration to "802.11 g only", try another channel, try different power settings, etc...

  • Satellite P10: How to enable the WiFi of Intel 2200BG card

    Hello

I have a psp10e Satellite that I recently installed a WiFi of Intel 2200BG card. After having problems to light up I put the Ribbon on the PIN 13 on the map to turn on the radio.

I have installed all the latest drivers / BIOS updates and spend hours searching the Internet I am still yet to find a cure for the hardware switch/fn + f8 and the WiFi led to work.

Is there something that everybody has understood to make the switch/led work material? There must be a better remedy than a piece of duct tape! It is the BIOS that has nothing to do with the hardware switch?

    Hello

You isolated the correct pin code? With the 13 PIN is pin 7 when you look at the map. And unfortunately there is no biosupdate for these machines, because everything is 'wired', then you will need to follow the alternative route...

I updated all the drivers, deleted all and installed the wireless drivers. All tried, but now I give up. It will not connect. I think it might be a problem with the generation of WLAN (Intel 2200bg) modem, but how can I be sure?

The laptop is still under warranty, so I could have it checked by Toshiba, but I work independent and need my computer every day. Please help me. Thank you!

    Hello

Just a quick comment: I use the M70 Satellite with the same card WLAN. Last week I installed the latest driver WLAN of the Toshiba download page. I also installed Intel PROSet, but I use Windows WLAN configuration.

If you want to disable Intel PROSet and just use Windows WLAN configuration press F10 and confirm with YES. You can use WPA encryption, but be sure that you set WPA - PSK (no server) option and choose between two Techniques of encryption (TKIP or AES). On my router default is TKIP. The same settings that you can find in the WLAN Properties on the wireless networks tab.

If you want to use zero (recovery CD), you can reinstall Windows XP Home edition only.

    Hello

Don't always blame your WLan card in Notepad.
Wireless performance depends on the wireless card, but also on the WLan router!

You define the G standard only on the router or wireless network card?
In the WLan card properties, you should be able to put the B, G or two B/G.
Also turn off the power save option on this map.

Maybe you checked only the Toshiba driver for the latest Intel WLan driver page. Download the latest driver on the Intel site!
You use the Intel ProSet utility?

  • Satellite 3000-514: how to enable the WLan Intel 2200BG material button

    Hello.

    I have a Toshiba Satellite 3000 514 and a WLan Mini - PCI Intel Centrino card. (Provided? ? ® PRO/Wireless 2200BG) running win - XP and Ubuntu.

Is there a solution to work around the problem, the wlan software wants to push me a hardware button to turn on wireless lan, that my laptop is enough?

In a German forum, that someone talked to solve the problem by using the 'easy', a program I already downloaded from Toshiba.
But you can only choose the .exe files to be connected to a button. Is there a .exe file to make the software think that I pushed that no wlan-hardwarebutton existion?

    * sigh * Help!

Thanks in advance. Sorry for my bad English.

    GMC

delicate sounds. I have no software solution for you, but I have another solution for you.

Since you're a German guy, you can check/read this:

It s a card atheros as I have in my Tecra 9100. So, I had a lot of problems with the card intel since they require a full work centrino
platform to work and so most of these cards are 'material' switch (in your case a button) to work.

With the card atheros Don t you have these problems with switch/button since they work at all times without the need for switches or buttons.
The downside is that you can't turn off the map for energy saving purposes.

So I hope that I could help you. Would appreciate some comments. :)

    Nice weekend.

  • Can not connect my Satellite L30 home WLAN

    Hello

I bought a Satellite L30-10 x of Romania and tried to connect by wireless with a crest of band home router. It seems to discover and 'SEE' the new network, but he doesn't know how to acquire it.
I tried more than 10 hours to connect, passing options/preferences of the router so that I cut any firewalls or protection on my laptop. I does not work. If anyone can hear me let me know.

If this isn't the case, keep in mind this issue. THX.

    Hello

It of not difficult to establish the WiFi connection.
But if the two devices (network router and local WLan card) are not compatible then you will have many difficulties to connect the laptop to the router.
You must be sure that wireless network adapter supports the same Wlan (A, B, G) standards as the router.
In addition, you must enter the right encryption key and disable the MAC address filtering!

    I also found this document on the Toshiba page;

  • Satellite L750 - Wireless LAN is disabled, no my home WLAN connection

Hello, I have some problem with my Satellite L750. It has a called Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless adapter which seems to be in place.

When I turned on my laptop I noticed it was not connected to any network, so I searched and found that it could not find. I checked on my phone (on which I am writing this) and there is my network and many others who are available to connect and mine works great on my phone. I tried to reset the router and nothing happened, I could always connect on my phone and tablet.

I tapped into the wireless software and found the so-called "ConfigFree". In this, I found "Connectivity Doctor". He said that there was a problem with the adapter, and then, after having discussed below, I found he said that 'Wireless LAN Off' next to a red picture of a switch.

Does anyone know how to reactivate it?

You can activate WLAN card by using the FN + F8 key combination?
