P1102w color power led

I got a P1102w for two or three years and it works very well.  My system is Linux Mint 14.

What color is the power light supposed to be?  I could have sworn blue in recent years, but today it is yellow (perhaps green).  I also had intermittent problems, obtain documents to print this morning, all except the test printer functions.  Right now it seems to be just printing fine once again, but the color of the light is just bugging me.

The light at the top of the unit; ready, alert and wireless, all operate normally.  I don't want any information on what these lights are supposed to mean.  I ask for more information on the power button on the front of the unit.

Last week I had a few problems of power with an electrician working in the next room, can be turned on and off several times during the day.  This morning is the first time since then, then I tried to print anything.  The first failure is probable because the unit had to be turned on manually.

I would like someone to tell me that the light was still yellow.

Dave

Hi netherstar,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I understand you want to know what the power supply light should be the color.

I'll be happy to help you.

The power light on our lab Laserjet P1102w is green when turned on.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.
Have a great day!

  • Satellite R840-139 - Power led blinks

    Hello
Sorry for my bad English :-).

a computer whose power LED flashes orange. I tried to read the error code is 01001010 = 4 Ah. I think my computer has a bit of a shock, but I'm not sure. It would be a failure but 3V but which?

I tried to press and hold the power for 30 seconds and reconnect the power supply and the battery and nothing changes. I measured the voltage charger is about 19V.

He had already put in this fashion several months ago, but has restarted.

    What can I do?

3V resembles the RAM. Try a different RAM module.
If it still does not respond, it may be a faulty motherboard.

  • Satellite Pro L650 turns off after start; DC In and Power LEDs blink on stop

A friend Satellite Pro L650 having worked well until yesterday, all of a sudden turned itself off. Now, at startup, it lights up normally for about 10-15 seconds before turning off suddenly. Turned off, the DC in white/blue LED and the orange Power LED Flash on a broad set of intervals of approximately one second. This extinction happens if I leave Windows or press F2 to enter the BIOS setup.

I guess this blinking is intended to serve as a kind of diagnostic code, but I have yet to track down what it means. Can anyone help?

To avoid confusion, power without the product stack the same, sudden stop experience, except the two LEDs remain solidly lit this time. With or without battery, trying to turn on again immediately after that a shutdown produced no response at all. Remove the power cable and immediately it reconnect again and turn then produced a brutal power off, but in less than 5 seconds. More wait between attempts to market seems to give a little longer powered on State, but without fault, the machine turns off just suddenly. With its short time 'turned on' we are talking, there cannot be any kind of thermal protection?

I had an old Satellite L450D lying around that uses coincidentally the same AC PA-1750 adapter, but use it made no difference. Of course, the battery does not have the L650!

The only previous numbers, that I am aware of this machine have been intermittent case of Windows reporting "Plugged in, not charging", but as my friend use it exclusively on the network, it was not a problem.

Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated...

    WTF?

    What is an unmoderated forum?

Can someone help with my problem?

  • Satellite A200-1ZF starts not flashing power led

    Hello

Today, my laptop Satellite A200-1ZF wouldn't start, instead, my power led flashes orange-orange-blue-orange-orange - blue and so on and so forth.
The HDD led transforms the blues when I turn on the computer and seems to work fine (I hear the normal sound of market from the HARD drive).
I tried to remove the RAM module to see if there is a fault in one of the modules, no help. I tried removing the battery and it works only on current alternative, also no help.

    Anyone have any idea?

Anyone know what this error code?

    Hi mate,

I had a similar problem which stops my Satellite A300 and the power light was blinking. This happens always after 1 or 2 minutes.

I decided to contact an authorized service provider. Technicians control the laptop and fix it for me. The repair took only a few days and it was free because the laptop was still under warranty.

    I hope I could help a bit! :)

  • Portege R100 stoped working - the power LED flashes error codes

I have a R100 that has suddenly stopped working.
The power led (clear amber with the image of the power wire) flashes what appears to be an error code of 5 flashes with a long pause on the last flash, followed by 3 flashes.

That - what it means, and where can I get a list of all codes error?

I changed the main battery, changed the spare battery and changed supply - and again, I get the error permanently. I was not able to power the laptop at all since it started. When you press the power button / nothing happens.

I hope someone on this forum has some information that may help you diagnose this problem. Tech support representatives Toshiba post here?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I m not a R100 owner but to me it looks like a card mother malfunction because you have already tried to exchange the battery and the AC adapter.

In this case, the best solution would be if you go to an authorized service provider. Technicians can consult the specifications and they know what means this code I think.
Here it s only a user to user forum and I have never seen anyone from Toshiba again.

Anyway, here you can search for the nearest ASP:

  • Satellite L40 - 15G - does not start, only power LED lights

    Hello.

I have a Satellite L40 - 15G that will not start. I click the power button, or with the battery, and only the power led alternately. I can open and close the cd/dvd, but nothing else works. No beeps when I remove the memory, the hard drive led blinks even. I tried with another hard drive, and it's the same thing.

Could this be the motherboard, the processor?

    Appreciate the help!

    Hello

Unfortunately, it looks like a hardware malfunction. I guess that it s related to the motherboard or perhaps CPU, if you have already tried another memory module.

You should go to an authorized service provider. Guys have good diagnostic tools to check your laptop and repair. In addition, they can order spare parts Toshiba.

Sorry, but everything that s what I can say. Here he only a user to s forum

I thought he had 3 batteries on the cell phone the main bios one and another one. I looked at other newspapers on here and tried to run right next to the power, but the same thing happens.

How would he fixed or what could be the problem?

    Hello

It dose not sound very optimistic the domain controller IN the witness lights usually green when DC is supplied from the AC adapter.
But if the output voltage adapters is abnormal or if power outages, this indicator flashes orange.

Either there is something wrong with electronic power supply on the motherboard or adapter AC is defective.
I think it s the first possibility and in this case I n t think you will be able to fix it yourself.
I'm afraid the technician advice and help is needed: (m

  • Qosmio X 500 does not start and the power LED is flashing every 5 seconds

    Hello
I need help my X 500 does not start now. I tried to launch the NB as usual and suddenly the X 500 start or even power up.

If I press the power button / stop it makes no noise, the power LED on the button and the second power LED just bliks once and turns on and keep blinking every 5 seconds.

    I tried to:
    * Remove battery and power up with AC only
    * power only to batteries
    * remove the battery power button hold for 30 seconds and over power with AC, battery only athen

    but it did not help.

I checked the LEDs AC & battery, but they do not blink, they are just RED, so there is no problem in battery or AC.

No idea where could be the problem?

    Thanks for help

    Hello

The failure of RAM could be the reason for this behavior of the laptop.
Remove the RAM modules with good modules tested and check the functionality of the laptop.
In the case of RAM isn t the troublemaker, the motherboard could be affected.

Good luck and share your experience with us.

  • Satellite A65-S065 - button Power LED is blue & amber at the same time

1st off I have a S065 A65 and worked well after a replacement motherboard, my fault, he had to be replaced.

In any case, I have the power button LED is blue & amber LED light up at the same time. Anyone has any idea as to what it means, or maybe I'm going into something, I don't know what it is and it should be reset at the back. Any ideas?

    Thank you
    Ben

    Hello

I checked the manual of the Satellite A65 and there I can find information that the Power LED blinks orange indicating the machine is in standby mode. So for me it sounds like that your laptop is in sleep mode.

What happens if you click Start > stop and choose the closing down in the menu drop-down? Normally, the power LED button must be turned off and also the laptop is in sleep mode.

  • power led on the rear of the computer the power button / stop turns on, then turns off.

I have a HP TouchSmart 610-1015xt.  The light on the transformer power is on, but not exactly brilliant (I think it's good, but not sure).  The light next to the power input is on.  When I plug in the power, the power led lights up for a couple / few seconds then turns off and does not turn.  At no time the computer capable of running and it does no whether noise (no fans, no beeps, no attempt to start.

    Any suggestions?

Figured it out.  Apparently I have reset the battery internal and then unplugged the power button circuit and then he started upward.  The only problem is that now it will restart automatically every time it is closed or even sleep.  I'll start another forum on this issue.

  • PORTEGE T3600CT: Flashing power LED

Hi everyone (forgive me of my English).
I have a problem whit my PORTEGE T3600CT (Yes, a bit old... but I like it) when it s connected to the power supply.
It looks like overheating of the microprocessor or something else: after a few minutes (5, 15, 30... it s never the same) the computer draws downwards, the power led turns amber and flashes 4 times aprox. 5 seconds, and then stays off for 3 seconds. It is the cycle: 4 flashes, broad of 3 seconds, 4 flashes...
I put t knows what it means, cause I put t have the manual. If anyone knows, please help me.

    Thanks to you all.

    Maximiliano

    Hi Max

AFAIK, it flashes code. Happens if the power supply microcontroller detects some hardware fault. Please use the virtue and advanced research search terms put the blink code. You can see that there are a lot of topics on this subject. If you wish, you can read some useful comments.

  • Re: Satellite A300-19 t has suddenly stopped working (power led is off)

    Hello

I have a 19 t A300 Toshiba, model PSAJ4E that I have used for more than 1 year and a half. Yesterday, I just started, started to work for 5 min and all of a sudden it has stopped working and remained silent. I'm not through the shutdown process or whatever it is a software based process, just a hard stop. I don't even have the led power indicator. I figured that the power being the issue, brick took and plugged into another laptop and was good (the power led came). This is definitley on my laptop.

So I am writing to ask you guys: what can cause the power light on my laptop, not to turn on, when I plug the DC Jack? Is this something on my laptop the charging circuit? What is the motherboard I need to change? How can I get a better diagnosis? I got this entire manual to solve my problem? My goal is to find out exactly what happened.

In addition, I have the skills to apply basic manual procedures. I am able to disassemble my laptop (down to the motherboard) and refit it.

    Thank you!

    Ilyes Gouta.

    Hello

It looks like the power supply electronic breakdown which is part of the motherboard. I don't think you can fix it yourself, in most cases, replace the whole motherboard.
