P2v and BSOD 0x0000007B

I did an import of a physical machine (dell optiplex 780), which was a windows 7 32 bit. I have used all the keybord to import, however, during the startup of the machine, it's get and BSOD 0x0000007B. What is the right way to get the mass storage drivers (if that is the question) in the virtual machine. Or if I did something wrong how can I proceed with future P2V?

Thank you

change

scsi0.virtualDev = "free".

TO

scsi0.virtualDev = "lsisas1068".

and then follow the instructions from above

  • Add serial port to VM, get BSOD 0x0000007b

The operating system is Windows XP and it has been converted from a physical PC about 2 months ago.  He was the starter and working for all of the two months.

But this computer starts.  I have a snapshot that I can surely return.  And this snapshot successfully starts and restarts.

But when I add a single serial port (which is a physical port mapping) you get a BSOD on startup.

After getting the BSOD, if I remove the newly added serial port, he continues to get the BSOD... safe mode or not.

I am able to join the 'hard drive' to another 'computer' and read / copy files.

No minidump file is generated by the BSOD.

I read through all the STOP 0x0000007B VMWare community articles.  While I'm sure it's related to that those who are all about the SCSI drivers and boot devices.

    He is a serial port...

Someone at - it a theory or something to try?

OK, so far, I've saved a copy of the VMX for bootable and BSOD.

A diff seems to indicate that SCSI is get added.  I will try to reduce the VMX BSOD and see what happens.  I might be able to save myself, but feel free to drop some knowledge on me if you have one.

    As well as it did.

I have nuked two SCSI lines out of the VMX file and it starts.

    scsi0. Present = 'TRUE '.

    scsi0.pciSlotNumber = "16".

Don't know why VMWare 9 added THAT SCSI on a computer virtual set to IDE... perhaps that will happen every time I have to change the settings.

    Don't know...

This virtual machine was a horrible time, conversion from physical to virtual and it never worked when trying to make the recommended patches SCSI community.

Maybe when life slows down I'll clone and try to convert them into SCSI again.

  • Satellite L550 slow and BSOD

    Have a L550 i5 / 4 gr 500HDD / Ati radeon Pre / running 7 Pro 32 bit with Kaspersky Pure as the ISS.
This machine is only 8 months old and already I had several probs with it namely slow and BSOD.

Dealers (Toshy trained technicians) don't find anything wrong with her and now after 4 days of home had several probs still especially slowdown, pop ups that won't come off with tab turns, email windows etc. ad nauseam.

Short of reformat and reinstall a backup - not acted at a 7 disc I don't know if I'm going to pot or there is something very wrong with this lappy.

Any ideas on how I can check it out that dealers are just charge me money for basically nothing and am thinking that I should just go and get another brand because it's the second Toshy I had had so much trouble.

Don't download a lot of freeware just MBAM and CCleaner, and is for the game.
Any help would be so appreciated as out of resources.

  • Satellite Pro 4600 very unstable and BSOD

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro 4600 c750/128 with xp installed.
It was ok, but slow, so I've updated at 500 MB of memory.

He now became unstable under windows and throw a screen blue after awhile, which is a related, but firm and we will restart until I have a chance to read the error message.

I tested the new memory from one day to the next with memtest and run 4 passes all tests without error, about 9 hours of operation (on the back).

The event log indicates a discharge, but this does not mean a lot to me.
The event log has an error during startup, what was there before the memory upgrade.
Googling Sugest a fix to update the bios, it's always available for this laptop bios?

The BIOS should be available for this former Satellite Pro 4600.
The BIOS and drivers must be placed on the page of European driver of Toshiba.
Here, you will need to search the Archives!

But I doubt that the error is caused by the BIOS.
Is the laptop ran stable also with the previous BIOS and it foolish to update the BIOS to fix this problem.
I'm sure it won't change anything!

Upgrade the RAM and BSOD appears now.
I think that the problem is related to the RAM, even if the ram test didn't find any errors
The RAM may be not compatible also if no error has been detected.

I recommend that you test the laptop without the new RAM and check if the BSOD will appear again.

  • My Dell 15R crashes if I play a game (GTA IV, II M.a.f.i.a) for about 3-4 minutes and BSOD appears

I just got a new Dell 15R (i7, 8 GB of RAM, 1 TB HDD, AMD HD 7730 M 2 GB graphics) and I tried to play M.a.f.i.a2 with and without steam and twice, after playing them for 3-4 minutes, the game crashed and BSOD appeared. It happened so in GTA IV. I've updated my graphics driver, but it made no difference. I also did a system restore, which also did not work. This BSOD could be linked to the power options?

Yes. No guarantee, but when playing system emphasizing games that you want to use the High-Performance option.
The other options are there to help extend a battery charge, but you can not expect to
play these games on the battery (for long), or without as much power as possible.
Your graphics for laptops is certainly capable.

  • SOW for P2V and V2V

    Hello

I'm new to VMware and still did not register in any activity related to vsphere 5 again.  Currently, my company has an agreement that needs me to run a P2V and V2V exercise for 800 server in a company and I don't know what that should I have to prepare for the conversion to succeed.

There are a few question I wanted to ask and hope that all of you who are expert on that can provide me with a guide to archive this task

    Scenario:

A company must consolidate all servers in site A, through p2v and v2v and bring them to site B and pull up all machines in a Cloud environment.

    Issues related to the:

    1. do I need an ESXi host and storage SAN (virtual infrastructure environment) to store all the converted machines from which this converted machine will be transferred to the cloud to be use on a remote site?

    2. If my client wanted to store all machines converted in the (NFS) network attached storage and import them into the Cloud Computing environment, this will be done using vmware vcenter converter?

    3. If I'm using vcenter converter 5, what is the conversion format suitable that I need to use in order for the converted servers to be used in the cloud?

    4. I have the program installation and virtual environment that consist of esxi host and iscsi storage, I convert a power on machine virtual infrastructure format and launch successfully in the esxi host. Problem is that I couldn't find an option to import a virtual machine since the converted file (NFS) and that's why I need to confirm if what format are suitable for the mentioned script so that I can import the converted NFS/SAN storage server.

    5. What are the other information I might need to know about this situation as:

    • Hardware compatibility for legacy server to participate in the activity of p2v
    • Activate the service ports of the network firewall/ports that must be for the conversion process

Grateful if you guys (expertise) can give me advice to make it happen. Thank you in advance and hope you guys can answer this question.

    Hi Eric

I'm not sure I understand your request of stil. The closest thing I associate is the command "Add to inventory" in "Datastore browser" in vSphere client. If this is the case, it opens a wizard to help you to choose the host ESX (the one who can see the data store). However it has nothing to do with the converter. In fact it is about adding to the inventory, not import.

  • Qosmio G50 - Windows XP SATA Driver and BSOD

    Good evening to all...

I bought a Qosmio G50 and am frustrated with Vista. I want to load XP 32 on the system. Here are the configuration information:

    Model name: Qosmio G50
    Part number: PQG55C-01R039
OS version: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1
    BIOS version: Version 1.70
    CPU: Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU P7350 @ 2.00 GHz
IDE Outspends: Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
    IDE devices: FUJITSU MHZ2320BH G1

    I downloaded the driver SATA here: ['Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller' | http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProductID=2101&DwnldID=1675 9 & strOSs = 44 & OSFullName = Windows * % 20XP % 20Professiona l & lang = eng]

The driver info indicated that it supports the "Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller"...

I use a Windows XP Corporate CD with SP3 slipstreamed in there. I copied the SATA drivers on a floppy disk and use the F6 option to load the SATA drivers. I was able to select the correct driver, then proceed with the installation a little and then get a BSOD:

    Stop: 0x0000007B (0XF78D2524M, 0XC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

    Hello!

    > Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Yes, you have downloaded the wrong driver.

This BSOD is a known problem, then you can also find an article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3ben-us%3B324103&x=8&y=14

Then take a look at the Intel Web site again and download another driver.

First of all thank you for sharing this with us and great info you could install Win XP using the external CD/DVD drive.

    > but if you can help me with a solution without additional CD-ROM usb drive I would be gratefull!
Hey mate. It is important that you could install Win XP ;)

PS: as far as I know you don t need any driver to start from the CD/DVD of PCMCIA drive. It s controlled by the BIOS.
Therefore, it should be possible for a start of the PCMCIA CD/DVD drive and reinstall Win XP

  • Satellite A210 - 127 (PSAELE) cut off and BSOD after the fresh install of Win 7

    Hello Toshiba Support Forums.

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x32bit 2 weeks ago and I have problems around him.
The only driver I have intalled was ATI video card driver and touchpad driver to make it work.

The problem is sometimes the laptop shutsdown itself and after I turn it back on it says blue screen and some other information you need, but I closed it.

Also im gamer and sometimes when I play the game it shutsdown again. When I use Google Chrome or Firefox, the browser hangs and makes the pc of the room with her for at least 10 min. it is really bad and I also want to set.

Also, I want to ask about memory card reader because I insert a card in the reader, but it does not work I think I need a driver for it but is not in the drivers Toshiba Web page.

    Thank you very much!
If you need any other information that I will deliver to you order for ifx these annoying problems!

    > The only driver I have intalled was ATI video card driver and touchpad driver to make it work.

Where did you find this ATi driver?
It could be possible that the installation of this driver ATi the BSOD.

My girlfriend has the same laptop Satellite A210 with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 graphics card. The driver version is 8.632.1.2000 and the laptop is preinstalled with Win 7

It works perfectly without any BSOD.

By the way: the cardreder works too... you could take a Vista driver or the driver put the A300 series too

  • Qosmio G30 - white lines on the screen and BSOD

    1. I have a Qosmio G30
2 operating system Windows XP MCE
and I have problem "white lines on the screen ' when windows start to load after that I got the"blue screen of death"and restart the computer.
I try to get back, but unfortunately came with the laptop recovery CD doesn't seem to work...

Whenever I finished to recover I have "windows loading files" and once this is done, it shows me the so-called "blue screen of death"...

    Hello

I m afraid. I have bad news for you ;(
I think you ve you have a problem with the hardware in my eyes, there might be something wrong with the GPU chip.
The white lines on the screen could be related to a faulty graphics card and get the BSOD error due to a hardware malfunction or software serious questions

I m sure that the recovery CD does not contain software problems and therefore only the fault of hardware could be the reason for the lines on the screen and the BSOD.

In my opinion, you should contact the ASP in your country for assistance if all goes well you guarantee is valid.

    Good luck

  • Satellite A500 - 18Q - screen freezes and BSOD appears the screen

I bought my computer 3 weeks ago and I have a problem.
My computer froze or displays the blue screen. It happens randomly, without having to open any program.

Sometimes half an hour or an hour later as I start my computer or nothing happens.
    I have windows 7 home.

    I need help

Hmm BSODS can happen thanks to a software or hardware problem and therefore it is difficult to say what could cause this.
The A500 seems to be a new model of laptop and I doubt that the dust could be the reason for the temperature more high which could cause the BSOD.
However, you should check if the cooling modules are free of dust and it might be useful to clean using the can of compressed air.

In addition, you should check if your BIOS is up to date.
If this isn't the case,-> to update this!

    Welcome them

  • Satellite L30 - after upgrading RAM OS crashes and BSOD is shown

    Hello!

I would like to know what is the problem on my Toshiba Satellite L30 series (PSL30L-0MOOD) because I have installed my RAM of 256 MB 1Rx16 PC2-4200 s-444-12 to an Apacer 2 GB DDR2 667 mHz... All of a sudden my windows crashes and displays a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) and just restarts.

I need help because I think there may be a problem in my RAM upgrade... Thanks for the help guys!

    Hello!

You only use the new module of RAM or both?
If you use both, try again with the new module.

In your case I would test the RAM with special programs like Memtest86:
    http://Memtest86.com/
Download and burn it to a CD and then boot from it.

    Good bye

  • X 34 gel, restarting and BSOD

    Windows 10 64-bit and strix 980ti

PC had no problem with the old monitor.

X 34 is causing games to freeze, restart the PC and sometimes bsod.

    I got "irql_not_less_or_equal" bsod a few times.

I reinstalled the drivers, I tried the drivers aged, switched cables DisplayPort and devulcanization back to no sync g / 60 Hz and it continues to do. Seems to be more common in fact.

Will connect it via hdmi later and see if she always does.

    GPU is not overclocked.

I have disabled synchronization of g and he played very well for a few hours.

Then I turned sync g turn there was down and there is not yet.

Do not know what is past but turning sync g market has worked so far.

On a side note, be careful with the DisplayPort cables, had a "premium" one of the microcenter who had the 20 pin, which is the power... He kept my fans and LEDs on when I turned it off.

I think that this power were the cause, but he kept pass after that I changed it up by disabling synchronization g.
