Pairing the mouse with Surface

I'm trying to pair the mouse Microsoft Wedge Touch with a Surface RT running Windows 8. It takes a long time to appear in the list of devices in the pair. On the rare occasion, it is not and I hit the pair, I get the message: "this has not worked. Try again and make sure that your device is still detectable. "I've been waiting with Microsoft support for half an hour and I always listen to shitty music.

Does anyone have advice for me on how to fix it myself? Thanks in advance!

Sue

Hi Sue,

If you try to use Microsoft compatible Bluetooth wireless keyboard or mouse and the input device does not work, maybe it's because your computer does not detect the device. Follow the steps in troubleshooting these items and check if you help:

  • Can we hide/show the mouse with an Action or Script?

    Hi all

I'm developing a simulation using boxes to click in Captivate 4, on Windows XP. If the user clicks in the right place, the slide continues and shows the user what to do. If the user clicks on the exact spot, the simulation goes directly to the next slide. The problem is, successful or not, when the user moves to the next slide, saved the mouse pointer displayed on the slide. If I hide the mouse, then it remains hidden, even if the user clicks outside the box too many times and the simulation continues to show the user what to do. It's like things on the screen just select or click on themselves.

I know the visibility of the mouse is used differently in the timeline to other objects. This isn't a particularly big deal, as long as there is a way to control the visibility of the mouse for simulations (one of the main points of sale of Captivate). Is there a way to control the visibility of the mouse with an Action or Script?

The current settings for my click boxes are:

    clickbox_settings.png

I tried to assign an Action (several actions, really) to hide, display, activate or deactivate the mouse but the mouse doesn't seem to be available to do!

    Am I missing something?

    Thank you

    Jeff,

No problem, looks like an argument anyway you look at it. With the idea of image of concealment, just to clarify, you shouldn't have to reframe the context if you can get out with the help of the entire background graphic. All your background images are already in the library of backgrounds folder, so if you drag and drop the background image of the library on the slide, you can instantly use it as a picture rather than just a background image object.

Just a thought, again in the case that it helps.

  • Found the Solution using the mouse with IPad (no Jailbreak)

I searched high and low for answering this question (which seems to be a common problem) for people who want to use their iPad instead of your laptop.

We get already use our Bluetooth keyboards, but what a mouse?

I've seen many videos of people who use a mouse on their iPads, but ALL requirements of a jailbreak. (I personally don't want to ruin my warranty, so I stay away from this method.)

Last week, I saw a video of a man using a USB port on the adapter of lighting with a regular wireless mouse.

    http://youtu.be/sh8nN7Fv0Zk

So I decided to check it out for myself.

I went on Amazon and found a simple Amazon Basics USB adapter for lighting. ($8)

I plugged my housing to food on the bottom of the port of lightning off my ipad and plugged the USB chip of my Logitech wireless mouse at the other end of the adapter.

My iPad discovered the mouse immediately, and to my surprise, a cursor appears on the screen!

I have been successfully using my Apple BT keyboard and mouse Logitech with my IPad 4 and I am very satisfied with the new-found ability.

This allows me to type notes in class without having to use the touch screen at all!

I would like to know what app you are using, which allows the use of a mouse.

  • State of the mouse with menu items that overlap control

    Hello

I have a problem with the recovery of the location of the mouse using GetGraphCoordsFromPoint...

I use the return status of GetGraphCoordsFromPoint to determine if the mouse cursor is over the plot of my graph control area (1) or not (0) to switch between styles of mouse (VAL_DEFAULT_CURSOR against VAL_CROSS_HAIR_CURSOR).

    It works in most cases...

Above the Panel, there is a bar menu, located below is the xy graph. Now, if the mouse opens a menu and is the style of mouse on the menu (and also on the chart) depends on history of mouse:

If the mouse has always been above the menu, it is not recognized by GetGraphCoordsFromPoint be loacted in the graph - which is what I would like to see, in this case of the style of the cursor is always the default style.

Now, if the mouse leaves the menu for a short distance, the menu does not disappear (only if the mouse is to a greater distance) and acccordingly GetGraphCoordsFromPoint realizes that the mouse is over the chart. It is correct and as expected, too. (the style of the mouse is replaced by a sight then)

Now, if I move the mouse over the menu, it is not recognized by GetGraphCoordsFromPoint, unfortunately, and the style of the mouse is not being in default.

Am I missing something, or is there a way to fix this behavior? Styles different from the mouse on a menu is confusing for the user, and I would avoid it, of course

    Thank you...

    Hi Wolfgang,.

It is not a very good way to work around this problem. As you found, Panel moving events are sent to the callback of the Committee even a menu is followed, and when you change the cursor of the mouse that it also affects any menu that can be active at a time.

If the cursor changes do not at all while the menu is active, even if the user moves on the graph, there is a possible strategy don't mind you can pursue to remedy the situation. It consists of trying to detect if a menu is active, so that you do not change the cursor when the menu is active. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done. Although it is easy to be notified whenever a new menu is activated (via a menu drive recall) there is no right way to be notified when the menu disappears. And there are several ways in which it can disappear. So it is not possible to set an internal flag that tracks when the menu is active.

However, it is possible to know if the menu is active at the time you receive the Panel move event (or in the timer tick event, although I'm not completely sure why you also use a timer). You can't do it with the UI CVI library, but you can, using the Windows SDK, in a way a little round point.

The idea is to know which window is the top-level window. And if she is not the window of the Control Panel, then you should be able to assume that a menu is active and therefore refrain from changing the cursor. Note that you must also make sure that the active window belongs to your process, because there could be a number any other windows that might be the 'top' window at any time. But if it belongs to your process and it is not your Panel, then presumably it's the menu.

I did a quick test with the following code and it seems to work, although you might want to test more thoroughly I did:

    topHwnd = GetTopWindow (NULL);
    GetWindowModuleFileName (topHwnd, topHwndModule, MAX_PATHNAME_LEN);

    GetPanelAttribute (Panel, ATTR_SYSTEM_WINDOW_HANDLE, (intptr_t *) & panelHwnd);
    GetWindowModuleFileName (panelHwnd, panelHwndModule, MAX_PATHNAME_LEN);

If (! strcmp (topHwndModule, panelHwndModule) & panelHwnd! = topHwnd)
return 0; do not change the cursor, unless the Panel is really on top

    Good luck

    Luis

  • Problems with macros on the conflicts of the mouse with windows shortcuts

    Hello!

I just bought a Logitech G930 wireless mouse to use in my mmo games. The mouse has 13 programmable buttons and I use most of them to bind the different tricks to use in games.

However, when using a few things related to CTRL-1, 2 and 3, it does not work as I intended. When you press the makro and bind for CTRL-1, for example, I am thrown out of the game and face the screen to change windows. CTRL-2 set up a Web page, Google search in my case. The desired function is not the case in the game at all.

I tried to find a way to disable shortcuts in windows vista, but only to find instructions on how to disable those using the Windows key.

    Please notify

  • How to replace the mouse with the PID

1 Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000

    2. the mouse works very well but the tranceivers seem to be brocken. When I plug it into my port USB it doesn't say not recognized. Error code 43

    3. Yes, I did the troubleshooting steps to go on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310123 and many other sites I've tried.

    4. I called the microsoft customer service in Australia, and they didn't know what had happened to the avalanche Transceiver, I told them error and always tell me the steps I tried already.

Certainly you would have tried everything underneath, including reinstalling the drivers.  If you did then I think that the device has failed and must be replaced.

  • I lose the point of the mouse with a desktop in full screen with media center.

I am running windows 7 64 bit. I have a graphics card 9800GT running a monitor and a LCD TV. I have the video installation of screens as extended desktop so that media center can run on the TV while I still have access to other functions of windows on the PC monitor. What happens is that when the library is running full screen on the TV I do not get a pointer on the other TV. When I close the Media Center or move it to full screen, the mouse pointer is still visible on both screens. It's really annoying. Does anyone know how to solve?

I tried your suggestion and it did not work to retrieve the pointer of the mouse, BUT I don't have a partial solution. I bought a MCE remote and it allows me to control MCE well without the mouse. However, the downside is that I can't run other applications using the computer screen (the other view runs MCE) since I have no control of the mouse. Maybe you could help me out here. If I could remap a key on the remote control to switch in MCE mode while I run an app as I have everything that I need. Is there a key combination that will increase MCE from full screen to windowed mode?

However, you must put in a bug report as I see quite a few others see mouse problems MCE running in mode full screen display.

  • The mouse with the flickering gray circle on ThinkPad X 220 with Windows 7 Tablet?

Here's my question, it presents a picture of the slider in question, I guess that I wonder if it has something to do with the Lenovo software that is installed on it.

Not too long ago, we removed Quickboot, so I wonder if this has anything to do with it.

You are tripping Chiral scroll. You can disable it in the control panel UltraNav.

  • Pairing the unit with wifi will expire

Hey, just a quick simple thing. Momentics2.1.1 twinning via wifi time out, when implemented a new feature for debugging. I entered the IP address in the development on my Q10 (10.3.1) mode screen which ranged from 169.254.0.1 so I am in a café is a public wifi network.

I was wondering if - I need to use Wifi Direct

-J' I need to ask people to coffee to allow something

-If my IP address must be different from the USB one because there is wifi. I tried to change to 169.254.0.5 at both ends but no dice

    Cheers, appreciate any help

    Justin D.

This IP address on development screen only works with a USB connection. Forget the use of WiFi in a coffee shop and connect your device with a USB microphone instead. It's still a faster connection.

If you INSIST on using WiFi to do this in a coffee find out current WiFi IP address of your settings-> topic Q10 and choose the topic 'network '.

  • HP X4000b Bluetooth mouse with HP ENVY TouchSmart 15 t-j100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook

I bought a XP X4000b Bluetooth mouse as a gift for a friend to use with their HP ENVY TouchSmart 15 t-J100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook with Windows 8.1 update 1.  She has developed a very strong aversion to the use of the touchpad of the notebook and has often been expressed that she preferred to use a mouse instead of the touchpad.  Especially for copy and move files between different folders.

    My questions are:

1 hardware/software of the Touchpad should be disabled or uninstalled before the mouse Bluetooth software and hardware is introduced in order to prevent any conflict?

    2. other than the need to activate Bluetooth support, are there other settings of control panel which will have to be modified in order to use the Bluetooth mouse?

    Thank you.

    lkmcmillen,

I regret that the document was not useful for you.

For the Touchpad is disabled, in general you can use both the keyboard and the wireless mouse at the same time. Some computers have a disable command set by default when you add a wireless mouse. It is an option found in Control Panel > devices and printers > mouse that can be enabled or disabled depending on whether you want to use the mouse or not.

Here is a video on how to for Activate the TouchPad on and off easily according to your preferences when you use a wireless mouse.

I am including the HP X4000b Bluetooth Pairing User Guide, which explains how to pair your mouse with the computer according to the operating system. What I see in the guide, there are no other settings to change otherwise than to turn on Bluetooth and add the device.

I hope that is the information that you have when you are looking for.

Best of luck and have a great day!

Original title: Arcsoft mouse and Lenovo ThinkPad matching

I recently bought a Lenovo X 1 carbon and it's running windows 7 pro.  I tried to pair the mouse Microsoft Arcsoft Touch with this laptop and it worked.

Unfortunately every time that the computer sleeps or shuts down the mouse is more matched.  The only way I've found is to reconnect is to add it again as a new device.

IT appears in my device as; Manager

    (2) mouse

Neither gives me the ability to disable powersaving disconnect for this device (if it appeared in my Bluetooth radio devices I would try this)

There must be a way to get the computer to recognize and default to this unit?

  • How can I disable the mouse pad? I prefer to use a mouse.

The cushion is a nuisance especially when I try to type, perhps I catch it with my wrists, I don't know. I prefer to use a mouse.

The 'quick and dirty' would be to cover the trackpad with something thick enough no pickup "taps" or "gestures". A card cut to tight should be thick enough, but I use a three thicknesses of sheet glued together and cut to tight in the trackpad to open (a corner cut so I can remove it when I have to use the trackpad). I did back in 2008 with an Acer laptop and now do it with my Asus EeePC 900 netbook; If I don't have the mouse with me (or the battery is dead - mouse USB wireless) I just remove the "cap" cardboard if I can use the trackpad.

In addition, check with a Windows 7 support forum to find out how to disable this "device". This isn't really a problem of Firefox support.
