Palm Pixi (from Sprint)

I have the worst time trying to figure out how to change ringtone Facebook and Email alerts, it does not give me a choice on how to change it? Any suggestions?

Hello!

To open the email app tap on email at the top left, select Preferences, then press e-mail account in the e-mail accounts.  Locate the new message box it and change the alert option it ringing system.  Then, you can select a sound to you list of ringtone.

For facebook, currently the facebook app does not support the means to make a sound when come updates.  If you talk about the contacts, then in the contacts app opens the contact and click on modify to get the option to set a ringtone for her.

  • Find ESN for Palm Centro on Sprint - sticker Missing

    Hello

My girlfriend recently cracked his palm pixi screen and was hoping to find a temporary phone to use until it can replace it, so I contacted my friends and gave me his old Sprint Palm Centro. Unfortunately, the sticker with ESN/MEID is missing from the phone and he can't find the box, so we cannot find the ESN to say sprint CS to activate the phone with. She tried to take it to the Sprint store but they didn't know anything, so I thought that I ask here if anyone knows how to find it in the operating system. Most other OS' you seem to have a way to find, but I was baffled so far in my attempts to locate him.

    Ideas?

    Thank you!

    -simon

Hello Simon and welcome on Palm forums.

You might want to try the following.  I tested it on a Palm Treo 755 p, I have disabled.  It should work the same way for the Centro.

Turn on the cellular radio by pressing the power button and hold.  Once the cellular radio, press the phone button on the Centro to access dial pad screen.  Then, press the key on the keyboard Menu, and select Options > Phone Info in the menu.

Info phone screen should show you a number of items on the Centro, including its ESN number and software version.

  • Could not find photos Fine Pix from Sony Windows 3

original title: find search indexing index reindex re-indexing research research research service troubleshooting troubleshooting

I can't locate photos Fine Pix from Sony from my old computer (windows 3).

    Hello

3 Windows operating system is obsolete and there is no support available for Windows 3.

  • How can I download pix from computer to cell phone?

I am trying to download pix from my computer... on my cell phone.  How can I do this?  Thank you!

I'll assume that you have installed in your computer and Bluetooth phone.

Computer: Control Panel, Bluetooth devices, Bluetooth settings,

Discovery, select Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer (should be disabled when not in use by you if someone else cannot access your computer).

Connections, check both: Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer and warn me when a Bluetooth device wants to connect.

Click on apply, OK, close the other window.

Now you need to pair your phone with your computer. The prosess is slightly different for each phone.

Find and activate Bluetooth on your phone.

Click search and your phone is your computer. You will be asked to pair your phone by entering a code to match of your choice or some phones have this printed on the back. Once you enter this code, your computer will display a popup and ask also for the same code.

Your phone and your computer should now be paired. You should see an icon for your computer.

If this does not work, see the documentation provided with your phone or your phone manufacturer's Web site.

To download photos you've taken with your phone go to your image files, click a picture, and click on send and click Bluetooth.

Click the icon for your computer and your phone send it in your BluetoothExchange folder.

A popup appears on your computer request permission, choose the settings you want and click OK.

The first time, to do this, your computer will create a Bluetooth Exchange folder in your Documents and your photos will be there.

When you want to access these images enable Bluetooth and you should see an icon for your computer. Click the icon and choose Browse files. Files in your Bluetooth Exchange folder will appear on your phone.

Open a folder and click an image (or click on a single image that is not in a folder).

A popup appears on your computer request permission, choose the settings you want and click OK.

The image will be sent to your image file in your phone.

Finally, to upload photos from your computer photo files just copy or move to the Bluetooth Exchange folder. You can also create a folder in the Bluetooth Exchange folder for your photos to the computer.

  • Telnet to the PIX from the outside

I tried the task through several suggestions.

None of which worked. My last try was using this link.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/customer/products/sw/secursw/ps2120/products_user_guide_chapter09186a0080089bd6.html

PIX VPN client works fine however I am still unable to telnet to the PIX.

In addition, the document speaks of configuration on the client.

Step 3 in the VPN client, create a security policy that specifies the IP address of the remote party identity and IP gateway under the same IP address IP address of the external interface of the PIX firewall. In this example, the IP address of the PIX firewall outside is 168.20.1.5.

I see there is only one place to put an IP address on the client. There is no place on the client to a gateway address. I tried to change my gateway machine and it still does not work.

Does anyone have a config to work on how to Telnet to a PIX from the outside?

The step that you are referencing is for users who use the old client VPN CiscoSecure. Do you really use that? I'm guessing that you are actually using the VPN client 3000, in which case you just have:

    (1) an acl of encryption that allows the traffic of your address has been assigned outside the pix

    (2) a statement of telnet that allows telnet address assigned from outside

    i.e.

no_nat of ip host 200.1.1.1 access list permit 10.1.1.100

    Telnet 10.1.1.100 255.255.255.255 outside

  • Palm Pre for Sprint data back up problem

I have problems with data upward with my Palm Pre for Sprint - Palm webOS 1.4.1.1

I set it so "On" to make the data to automatically back up my Palm profile every day, however it has not saved it automatically since June 5.  I just noticed today (June 17) and I tried today to back up data manually by clicking on "Back Up Data Now" button, but the screen just hangs indefinitely with a note saying 'Préparation' never back up the data.

On a related note, between June 6 & June 10 I made a trip to Canada where my phone was roaming - then I can understand why he might not come back in these circumstances - but I went back to the United States on June 10 and he has not saved automatically since and it does not appear that he is able to save manually either.

Anyone had a similar issue or know what I could do to remedy this?

Of course, it seems that a simple reboot solved my problem.

  • Palm Pixi Plus O2 given

My Palm Pixi Plus guard internet connection and it cost me an amount of data costs high, is anyway that I can stop doing that?

    Kind regards

    Hello!

I don't belive that O2 SIMs doesn't lock it so in you phone app, press the O2 on the very top-left and select Preferences.  Scroll down to the use of data and put it out of service.  Close the card Ant that should do.   This option varies since some SIM cards will be blocking the ability to touch the data settings.

Duly note that disableing data mean you Pixi can no longer save itself round so this back on successive or use wifi when can at least.

  • Palm pixi with O2 web load when I access the wen how to stop this?

My Palm Pixi Plus guard internet connection and it cost me an amount of data costs high, is anyway that I can stop doing that? and I'm not able to click on the 02 logo to change the settings of data until I do? need a happy asap!

    -Open the phone application

-Press on upper left corner (o2 - uk for me it says)

s ' ensure that data usage is set to off (i've got until and data roaming off, do not know if that makes a difference)

    It worked for me

  • Palm Pixi touchscreen has stopped working.

I had my Palm Pixi for about 1 week I received a text made a friend and then 10 minutes later, I got in all the phone, I tried to unlock the phone to see if I had messages and touch screen did not work, I tried to take out the battery and restarted. I tried to plug it into a usb port and it does not work even then. Help?

Here's what to do. It worked for me. Hold the Palm Pixi more the phone near a picture tube tv (not LCD, but the old tube tv), then turn the TV off. Repeat this couple times. Then try the pixi more screen. If you don't have a tube tv (like me), don't worry. I had a thin cover giving me static all the time. I rubbed covering the couple bed of time (so that it is State) and then hit the pixi screen. Repeated twice and it worked.

If it doesn't, he has nothing to lose. But if it works then good for you. It was not my idea, but I found it on the internet.

  • Palm Pixie handsfree

I bought a palm pixie. I love. But I have a question for hands-free. Use hands free, or I have to use the blue tooth my phone? My other phones always accompany a handfree device. One that you plug into the phone. The Palm Pixie uses the same system and if so where you plug the unit in to.? Thank you

The hole at the top of the Pre is where you connect a generic headset if you want to listen to music.  If you connect the headset I linked, you can listen to music and use the microphone for hands free calls online.  (Voice is picked up by the microphone online and the Atria emits the voice).

  • Palm Pixi (Sprint) problems

I tried to get on Live Chat, but it seems to be declining.  I'll try to be brief and detailed.

I got a Pixi just over a week.  From the word go it seemed really slow.  When I press on an application, the lighted icon is sitting there for at least 3 seconds and then the app delay following charge.  If I have 2 loading apps it gets almost insensitive.  I restored the Pixi with webOS Doctor and the problem still persists.

This sounds like a hardware problem?  Is there anything else I can do to isolate S/W or H/W?

What accounts you have synchronized with the pixi? (google, facebook, yahoo, Exchange, etc.) ? I would start all first remove those if you had several to see if its related to one of them.

  • No Audio, video or ringtone - Sprint Palm Pixi

We had our Pixi since June with no problems.  Suddenly this morning ringtone no longer works and the ringer switch is turned on.  When you examine the ringing options, previews play with no sound.  Stored .mp3 files don't produce audio.  When you go to YouTube there is no audio or video, but the marker of time ahead by showing that the video plays.  Preloaded videos won't play at all, giving back an error message.

I tried a soft reset without effect.  Nothing has changed between last night and today that should affect the phone and the phone never had a wired headset.

What else can we try?  Thank you!

    Mark V.

    Mark,

I recently had the same problem with audio and video, as well as my camera wouldn't take photos.  It all started after downloading the new version 1.4.5.  I had to download WebOs Doctor on the computer and follow the instructions to reload the update on my Pixi.  It fixed all the problems and is now at 100 percent operation.  Let me know if it solves your problem.

also, make sure that you run the backup feature before you run webos doctor.

    Sincerely,

    Carl

  • Palm Pixi with Verizon = no ringtones?

I have a Pixi with Verizon. I tried to buy ringtones using the Verizon Internet site even as I always did. But after that I bought a the message met the rington was abolished and that my phone does not support happy purchaseing copyrighted. All other Verizon phones, I have had my own ringtones. I'm really starting not to like this phone.

Hello and thank you for using the Palm Help Forums!

I'm really sorry to hear about your problem. You should not have problems to download ringtones from Verizon, but if you are, I recommend contacting Verizon. The reason why I say that is because they manage the site in which you download from. They may be able to shed more light on why you have this problem with the Pixi.

HOWEVER, I have a really, really, really tip I would share with you.

    Create a new ringtone

To create new ringtones, you must first move audio files in a format supported (MP3, AAC, AAC +, AMR, QCELP and WAV) from your computer to your phone. All MP3 files you already have on your phone (for example, files downloaded from Amazon MP3) can be used as ringtones, as long as the files are in the folder ringtones on your phone. To find the ringtones folder, open the Launcher, tap sounds, ringtones.

Move audio files to your phone by doing one of the following:

    • With your phone in USB Drive mode, add audio files to the folder ringtone on your phone.

I hope this information is useful.

I need to cut off the internet on my phone, so I don't get automatic updates etc. As 02 keep me charge to go on the internet when I'm not. He wasted a lot of my credit already how to stop this from happening. I need answers asap!

When you open the telephone keypad to make a call, it's the phone app. Tap on the top left of the screen to the menu of this application. Under network, you can enable the use of data on and outside.
