Palm TX and Win 7 64 bit compatibility

Basic Palm or win7 seem to have an answer to when will be solved compatibility problems.  In the meantime, I have loaded the drivers updated; my computer is a new dv6 with 64-bit Win home prem 7 and blue ray and still I can't connect with my Palm TX.  Any help or suggestion?  Thank you.

Hi Rich01A,

I tried to verify the information on the compatibility of Palm TX with Windows 7 and I have been unable to find information about it.

Access the link below for information on the compatibility of the Palm TX with Windows 7.
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/search.aspx?s=Palm%20TX&type=hardware&OS=64-bit

First of all, I suggest you to check with the manufacturer of Palm TX, if there are any updated drivers for Windows 7.

However, you try to install the program in compatibility mode in Windows 7 by following the steps below:

1. open the program compatibility Wizard the by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, click programs, and then clicking on use an older program with this version of Windows.
2. follow the directions in the wizard.

If you are unable to install a program, insert the installation for the program and, using the wizard disk, navigate to the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. The wizard is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

To change compatibility settings manually for a program, right-click the program icon, click Properties, and then click the Compatibility tab select Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista and select the run as Administrator option. Click on apply and Ok. Try to install the program again.

Access the link below to learn more about how to make older programs in this version of Windows:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

Hope the above information helps.

Post back and let us know the result.

Thank you and best regards,

    Hello

The chicony webcam does not work on my toshiba Satellite A350-12j and windows 7 64 bit...

I always get different errors as
    "graphics make it fail."
"the device is locked by another program.
    etc...

I tried many things and watch them on a lot of messages, but nothing does. I installed a lot of drivers and programs to solve, but nothing works.
at first the camera was ok but now nothing seems to help and the camera is broken...

    Can you help me??

    Thank you!

    > seen as 1 million messages like mine and not even 1 right answer on how to solve it!
I guess you didn't read all these messages correctly

The user Symbian wrote that her webcam works fine! He used the software/driver for the Toshiba page as well

Since the Skype reports an unknown error too, I guess that this whole thing has noting to do with the webcam software, but with your Windows 7 installed!

Seems a registry keys, files or all what it might be, are confused upward!
In your case, I would try a new installation! Install Win 7 and the Toshiba drivers/software.
    Then test the webcam.

Don t install any 3rd party software before you would test the webcam!

  • HP DesignJet 430: HP DesignJet 430 and win 10 64-bit - required driver signing enforcement?

Hello. Is the deactivation of the application of driver signing Win 10 required to install this printer HP DesignJet 430 64-bit (driver Vista or XP 64-bit):

    hpdj430x64glen.exe version 4.83 (I think)

A customer wants the 430 to work with Win 10 64 bits; I don't want to have to go through the disabling stages if I have to. I don't think I have to. I think that it is a 'signed' driver

    Paul

The driver here is the file you mention.  I just downloaded and installed in Windows 10 x 64 and it does not report that the drivers are signed.  You wouldn't have to disable driver signing.

  • Bug finally found - software HP Photosmart C7280 full functionality and Win 7 64-bit drivers

After months of being unable to reinstall the software HP Photosmart full feature and drivers Win7 64 bit - (PS_AIO_02_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_140), I finally understood what was going on. Both computers had exactly the same problem. If all goes well, the HP software development team will review it and fix the bug in the downloaded software. The HP printer install wizard for Windows 7 (V2.1 - HPPIW) has the same question because it downloads the same file.

The first installation works; However, once uninstalled and try to re - install, it looks like "the system cannot find the file specified" in the following folder (the file name cannot be determined because the full path has been cut):

    C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS1D16\Setup\... \Setup\blocksysuserinstal... etc.

Note that the temporary directory (in this case, "7zS1D16") was different on both computers.

Workaround on each computer was to reinstall it failure and register the name of record he was trying to find. Make an indication of the time that you tried reinstall as well.

Now, create a new folder with the name of the missing folder (in my case, 7zS1D16) in the folder location:

    C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Temp\

Then, search for the Temp folder that it used for installation (use the timestamp you saved above to help).

    C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Temp\[folder]

Copy all the files in this folder to the new folder that you created.

Rerun the Setup program and he will now find the missing file.

The problem is that, for some reason, the installer looks in the wrong temp folder after uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

I'm glad that my solution helped you two, it's the kind of thing HP must be set if they want to retain customers (I'm still not a software engineer). Given that I've had similar problems in the past two years with HP printersl, laptops and cell phones, they tried and abandoned (adding further insult to a decade more user Palm). I spent away from HP in all possible ways.

As far as printers go, I couldn't recommend Brother color laser printers more. the MFC-9970CDW is impressive and has an efficient software and infallible was a good deal at the site Web of Costco. The only drawback with it, it is big enough.

I also like the Epson Artisan 720 I picked up on clearance at Best Buy. Once more, it prints beautifully and the software simply works... something hydrogen peroxide used to do for years with printers (I had the C7280 to probably 7 or 8 years and thought it was a great printer for last so long, until the HP software has failed).

After trying probably 3 recent model HP different printers that have been nothing else into trouble, I'm done with the company.

Good luck to you all, but if you want less headache, I suggest you watch in brother or Epson.

  • Palm m515 and Windows 7 (64 bit) - help!

In reading previous posts, I get that there are no drivers for Windows 7, in particular the type of 64-bit, and we cannot synchronize via USB.

Also, I couldn't find a way to download data from backup of the old palm pc software to the new, even important files saved to program folder or a memory stick. I can simply not my stuff from my Palm or the old computer to the new office.

Is there something to be done about it (will there be pilots soon?), or has someone finds a solution for this yet?

I'm going quietly crazy... Please tell me the good news.

Although none of them say that they are compatible with Windows 7. You may need to do some research to see one to use as a better option, or roll the dice and hope you find one that works. It has been my experience with Windows 7 which for most everything that works on Vista will run on Windows 7 as well, so you can be lucky to catch one that is compatible with Vista and it works with Windows 7.

  • Satellite P300 - cannot find drivers for Win 7 32 bit

You need a Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit system disk. I doubt that Microsoft Win 7 32 bit disk also contains the 64-bit version.

  • Win 7 64 bits + FSX = 'Fatal error' & CTD / reboot

    Hello

Like many other people, I get this error message, and some fatal errors followed TCTC when in FSX, to the point that I have almost all but given to the top to never play FSX.

"This feature requires that {smartassembly} is available on this computer.

I looked on all the forums, including this constructive info one, but none that has helped me so far. I tried to reinstall windows & FSX 5 times the last two days, tried the fix c:\windows\system32\uiautomationcore.dll., closure of the various windows services at startup, usually following the adivce in another Win7 + FSX forums here.  Nothing works.

The CTD occur in flight, but also after a start to the gates where I leave the plane for a few hours, I will return to find FSX has restarted itself.

I run FSX on Win 7 64 bit, which, through various forums, gives people a lot of problems (CTD) with FSX. It seems that this is a common problem, so I hope you can help solve this problem. So far, I (and many others) cannot use their FSX + addons which we have invested a lot of money in.

Please let me know, the more information you need, but pls don't tell me to reinstall Windows & FSX once more. I did it 5 times in the last two days, is not what is causing FSX to malfuntion.
    Thanks in advance.

    Robert.

I found this information on another forum.

    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7itproappcompat/thread/fb1808ff-92f0-478b-9826-f2ed6fbeae97

IT WORKED FOR ME! I just deleted the c:\windows\system32\uiautomationcore.dll (after saving). Problem solved! It's fantastic! Has made a whole flight from Changi to Frankfurt using the menu strongly and there is no problem!

    gkair2

THE BOTTOM LINE WHICH IS THE UIAUTOMATIONCORE. DLL FILE CAUSES OTHER DLL FILES MALFUNCTION!

A lot of people, I have the fix -after a whole year of fussing and spend $600 on all versions of windows out there-XP 32-bit stinky. Proffessional XP 64, vista HP32, vista 64 HP, Win 7 RC 32 & 64, Win 7 32 business and Win 7 64 bit Professional (my main OS of FSX on which I made the success of difficulty). As simple as it sounds, it works. I tried to replace the file c:\windows\system32\uiautomationcore.dll and FSX would still be well down after a while. And if it wasn't this dll file, it would become another file such as ntdll. So I tried completely delete the file of 32 times the syswow64 folders and system c:\windows\system32\uiautomationcore.dll. Now, I play with the graphics settings and set to custom traffic and turned up completely while I aircraft FSX, landscapes and weather parameters turned to ultra high and no crashes for two days! I can click in and out of any menu such as map or the virtual flight path change full flight plane or change full weather flight with without crashing. I tried every way to get FSX down and I can't do it!

FSX is really great when it works.

Here IS THE SOLUTION: You may need to take ownership of the files if windows prevents you to delete the file. Open the prompt cmd and do a right-click to run as administrator, and then type in exactly below its replacement by your login name from windows where it says username:

    takeown /f C:\Windows\System32\uiautomationcore.dll

    cacls C:\Windows\System32\uiautomationcore.dll/g username:F

    takeown /f C:\Windows\Syswow64\uiautomationcore.dll

    cacls C:\Windows\Syswow64\uiautomationcore.dll/g username:F

Now you can only access your system32 and syswow64 folders in windows Explorer and after saving files C:\windows\system32\uiautomationcore.dll just remove them from your computer. (Don't forget to delete the file Uiatomationcore.dll in the folder FSX ure also if you install as the fix in other posts).

If you download their latest driver Nvidia cards also. Its got a huge performance increase. The only problem I've had by deleting the C:\windows\system32\uiautomationcore.dll file is that if I get FSX completely while in the flight of my office windows becomes dysfunctional and I have to restart. If I first put end to the leak and then quit FSX I have no problem. I have four different OS on separate partitions on my computer built especially for FSX. There is no point playing FSX on all 32-bit versions of windows, because you will have more FS 2004 than FSX on a 32-bit system.

Now, since I have 12 GB of RAM, dual of the 9800GT, intel core i7 920 clocked stock (suck cuz MSI MB for OC) and three 22 "monitors - rather than get 10 FPS (on my 32-bit windows 7) I get 25 FPS on my 64 bit Windows 7 with two windows of the virtual cockpit on two monitors and all my instruments on the 3rd monitor. BTW 6 GB (if you have three slots) or 8 GB Ram (if you have dual channel) with a 64 bit OS is a lot - I just find my DDR3 RAM to remove dirt cheap on Microcenter one year ago. 4 GB is not enough you will get OOM errors with parameters even rolled to halfway. Don't have need to buy fancy graphics cards is because FSX's time CPU and does not really do well on recent graphics cards. The 9800GT are very cheap at like $70. Also certainly upgrade to the core i7.

Please spread the word to all our friends in fsx!

  • Win 7 64 bit, SSO does not work on view 5 but it works on view 5.1

We have the production environment with view 5.0 installed and win 7 32-bit deployed as linked clones and it works fine.

But for some of our users, we must deploy win7 64 bit and here, we encountered a problem. When user loggs in win7 64 bit desktop single sign does not work, and users must enter the password and username ther once more before seeing their office.

We have also installed with view 5.1 test environment and in this environment SSO on win7 64 bit works as expected.

Any ideas why SSO does not work with 64 bit win7 and discover 5? Is this known bug or it's just me with this problem?  How to find the cause for it and where to look?

PS Both environments are identical except for the version of view practicly.

    Hello

We encountered the same problem within our environment.

    In our case, it was because the following has been set to active on the virtual machines via Group Policy;

    Computer config-> policies-> Windows settings-> security settings-> local policies-> Security Options

Interactive logon: require no CTRL + ALT + DELETE

Stop in group policy has solved the problem.

    Good luck.

    Hello

If you bought the DVD of Windows 7 with the license, and it's a retail license, Yes, you can transfer it to another computer.

OEM, pre-installed Dell, HP, etc. as well as Microsoft OEM System Builders licenses are non-transferable to another computer. They are tied to the computer first they are installed on the.

Retail licenses are transferable. Remember that a single installation is allowed at a time.

You may need to do a phone Activation when you reinstall on another computer.

  • NB550D - best way to install Win 7 64-bit and 64-bit drivers

    Hello

I improved my NB550D to Windows7 Home Premium and installed 4 GB of RAM.
This works much better, but want to go further and make a Windows7 Ultimate _64bit_ _clean install_ in order to take full advantage of theupgrade in RAM.

My question is: what should I do about the Toshiba drivers for 64-bit? I guess I'm going to need some?

What is the best way to go about the upgrade - any help will be appreciated! : D

If you need to switch to Win 7 64 bit, then you need some Win 7 64 bit drivers.
On the European driver Toshiba page, I could find some 64-bit drivers, but it seems that not all Toshiba for Win 7 64-bit tools are released.

Drivers for WLan or BT stack can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/

Other drivers or Toshiba tools such as value added package or Face Recognition, Eco utility and others could be used with other series of portable for example by Satellite C660D or others such as L750D, L755D or C670D
Surely you must pay attention to the integrated graphics chip, the LAN or the chipset
Use the drivers that are released for fleas in NB550D

Currently running on the laptop using Windows XP pro sp3 Firefox 3.5.13 and want to move my favorites to a new laptop. New laptop using Win 7 pro 64 - bit OS. I've read too many conflicting reports on Firefox and Win 7 and Firefox works on a real 64 - bit version. What are my choices for a stable browser for the new laptop and what specific version of Firefox is recommended, and the advantages and disadvantages of this suggestion? (I think we can run Firefox 32-bit version in the 64-bit environment, but which is the best choice?) I have not installed Firefox on the new laptop yet and am eager to dump IE. It is displayed for my old laptop. Thank you...

Mozilla working on a 64-bit version of Firefox, but it's a way off. Currently, the only release versions are 32-bit, and the next major version will be also only 32 bits.

I recommend that you install the latest version of publication (3.6.10) available since http://www.mozilla.com/

To copy bookmarks, follow the procedure described in the article restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer to save a json file, you can import (restore) on the new laptop. You can copy more bookmarks, for details, see back up and restore the information contained in the Firefox profiles and backup - MozillaZine Knowledge Base Profile. Yes, it s safe you can try to install the drivers for the touchpad for Vista in the worst case, you will get an error message that this driver is not compatible or will not work.
