• Channels in the Panel layers appear reversed when they are not

  My layers in Photoshop CC Panel have suddenly started to display all reverse channels, when they are selected and reused for example in the form of mask in the layers panel, they appear correctly. Maybe I've changed inadvertently in some settings to make this odd behavior, but I really want that back in a useful way. Any ideas appreciated. Below you can see a screen shot of how the alpha even looks in the channels of the panels and layers.

  Please, help - it's really affecting workflow. Before the version 2015.1 allowing you to be able to hold the command + mouse on a layer to the specific content movement which layer. Now, you do the same and it selects the layer, but when you move it, then moves the top layer of parent GROUP. I really need to move a single layer only. It's touching things so that it is now unusably slow workflow-wise for people who know the shortcuts. Help, please!

  Is the whole of the move tool for 'Automatic 'group' Selection' or 'Layer' in the Options bar?

  But on all layers at least one element.

  Activate the layer panel menu "Layers don't forget to stick."

  Copy of the old document

  Paste it into the new document

  Beware, if a layer with the same name are all elements of this layer will be glued to this layer, missing layers will be added at the top.

  You must take care that the layer has the same order as in the old document, otherwise things could be stripped.

• Missing Panel on the right

  Two problems really-first I don't know how, but two versions of Photoshop are on my computer 14.2.1 x 64 which works fine and 15.2.2 who has all of a sudden the right panel with layers & missing histogram. I tried to reboot, reset the workspace, but no help. I'm subscribed to CC so I wouldn't mind simply remove that but it seemed that it was a new version and I don't want to live things anymore, I don't have good luck when I'm kidding on the computer. This is why I never deleted the extra version in the first place, opened by Lightroom version and the other when opening a file in a folder. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

  In the list window, you checked histogram and layers, and they did not?

  Click on the double arrow and choose photography. If the histogram and layers still do not appear, it may be time to reset your preferences.

  To reset the preferences:

  If Photoshop is already open on your screen, close (Quit). Then press and hold Shift + Ctrl + Alt (Win) / command + shift + Option (Mac) on your keyboard and start Photoshop.

  A dialog box appears asking if you want to delete the preferences file existing ("settings"). Click Yes in the dialog box. The existing preferences file will be discarded and a new one will be created.

  I have CS5 and would like to try focus stacking.  I have file > automate > Photomerge with some pictures.  They were aligned in layers.  I want to auto-merge layers, but the function is grey and is not accessible.

  What type of layers you want to mix?  It will not work with dynamic objects.  Show a screenshot of your panel of layers, with the selected layers you want to merge.

• 5.5: unable to select Tools or options in the panels

  Just installed Indesign 5.5 (after years of use of the previous versions, but still an 'intermediate' user). All panels (Pages, layers, races, etc.) will be open, but they are useless. For example, I can not add a new page, the master page layer, etc. The options are ineffective. Cannot select anything in the panels.

  It's the same thing with new documents and those previously created in Indesign 5.

  Hi, after you have created an animation of 25 extended image (like a .gif file) I would like to export each image file .psd individual with all layers showing in each respective frame intact and separate layers editable (rather than each picture as a flattened image/psd)...how a layer can this be done?   Try this...

  1. Click on an image.
  2. The layers panel menu > layers remove hidden
  3. Save as
  4. Cancel

  Repeat if necessary

• How to merge the images in layers?

  Can someone tell me if it is possible to merge the images into layers in Illustrator CS3?

  I'm used to doing with Photoshop. I thought the merger of Pathfinder would work but apparently not

  Illustrator does just not this way. It is base object of each object on its own layer of base.

  Essentially the layers panel displays layers and objects in order to have objects, layers and sous-calques. If you do not what to see objects in the layers panel, choose Panel Options from the layers panel, and check the option "show only the upper layers.

• Size of the icons by default layers? (CS3)

  I use Illy more and more (yay!) and I went from really loving the small icons in the layers panel, to love more important.

  Is there a way to set a 'default' size for these? The "ol"create open without a doc, the change, then close"does not work because you can access the Panel of layers with no open doc.

  It's probably something simple, right?

  Ok. You should sleep on it.

  Since this is a per-document setting, I feel you can set and keep it in a new document profile, even if it is not listed as one of the parameters in the following article:

  I have AI 13 (CS3) here, so I can't test it for you, but try and let us know. Information on the new profiles of document in the help file.

• Why "Rentals" are missing in iCloud drive window?

  I want to add an attachment (document) to an e-mail message. The document is on my iPhone in the app settings Pages > iCloud > iCloud Drive is enabled. I tap on the body of the e-mail message > click on 'Add an attachment' > iCloud readers panel shows nothing. I want to go to another location (Pages) of the document. I thought "Locations" should be at the upper left of the Panel, but it is absent. I thought that I should be able to type "Rentals", select "Pages", and then select the documents to be attached. What Miss me?

  It comes to my iPad, but it works the same way on the iPhone. I do not use iCloud Drive on the phone because he just kept sucking the life out of the battery on the phone and the screen is way to small for me to work in the documents anyway.

  In CP 7 there menu buttons to move the items from top to bottom in the timeline panel (like layers), which allows you to bring things more ' before' or 'back' on the slide as a command "arrange".

  Where are these buttons or menu options to achieve in CP9? I can't seem to find... ?

  I did never see these buttons, are you not confusing with other places? Here is a screenshot of the timeline panel in CP7:

  I don't see a difference. An important difference for the timeline is the integration of the former Committee of what it contains. But no button gone as far as I KNOW.

  If you want to change the stacking order, select a timeline object and drag it upwards or downwards.

  Maybe you want the menu arrange? It is always in the context menu.

  There is also an alignment toolbar, that can be opened in the window menu, and the last four icons can be used as an alternative to the layout options:

  

• make a border to enlarge my photo

  I thought that I could drag a photo to a black background I did bigger than my photo to make it look like a border of matte type and enlarge the look of the image. When I drag my picture to place on the black background, I did, it will not fall over there. Please help and thank you!

  With a lack of more detailed information and without seeing a screenshot of your panels separate layers for both files, I can only offer a few alternatives:

  1. instead of slip, try to select > all followed by Edit > copy, then paste it into the black file

  2. click on the image and drag the layer in the layers Panel on the black file

  3. choose the image. Make sure that your background color is black in the tools Panel. Then Image > size of canvas with parameters similar to those pictured below. The black box will be added to the image.

• 2015 spot cure the problem

  I've updated to CC and now my spot heal no longer works. The rest of the healing tools work just fine, just not spot heal. Advice?

  Have you tried to reset the tool?

  Could you please send screenshots (with the Panel visible layers) to illustrate what is past/does not happen exactly?
