Password and a blackBerry Smartphone voicemail

Hi - I have a curve 8330.  How can I add my password 4 digit to dial automatically after that I have to press 1 to activate voicemail on my BB.  And should we register, to suspend the time?

Thank you

Shelley

Go the phone screen, options, voice messages, and you will see a place to add your password - no I didn't need to put a break in mine and it works fine.

    Hello

I have a real dilemma. Not only I seem to enter a wrong password, but I forgot as truly the question of safety.

I wanted to subscribe to BlackBerry messenger (not necessary not previously) and also got stuck trying to use my BlackBerry Playbook.

Is there a solution when I seem to have incorrect information for both?

Hello and welcome to the community!

There are several different security credentials in the world of the BB... but what you have said, I guess you're saying your BlackBerry ID. Therefore, start first with these please:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question
    • KB32111 "The link is no longer valid." occurs when you attempt to reset a BlackBerry ID password
    • KB26361 How to change or reset the BlackBerry ID password
    • KB28111 Impossible to reset the BlackBerry ID password when using a hosted BlackBerry email address
    • KB28232 Reset blackBerry ID e-mail are not delivered to the mailbox associated with

If you have forgotten your ID BB credentials AND access non - BB (for example, Outlook, webmail, etc.) for the e-mail account which is currently configured on your account ID from BB, then these instructions should allow you to recover access to your account ID from BB.

However, if you do not have access to this e-mail account, then your challenge is much larger, and you have a choice to make depending on your situation:

    1. If you have no AppWorld records you need to keep (for example, buy folders for the applications), then simply drop the BB ID and create a new. To do so, however, requires a device WIPE:

      • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet
    2. But, if you do not have AppWorld documents that you need to keep, then you need human intervention. To receive, you must ring to the top of your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. In addition, you must convince BlackBerry you with a solution - which probably will be reset your current BB ID so that you can access it again or you will need to create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase to the wire records. Note that I don't know if they will be willing to do, but there is no other way I know of to keep your prior AppWorld purchase records.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphone Voicemail password reset

    Hello

Just, I got my bb8130 a few weeks, my first and managed to re - correctly set the password for my voicemail account. I forgot to save the password, and now I can't remember it! Does anyone know how to reset the password if you are unable to enter the system to do? I can't find the info on the device itself or the user Tools CD. Any help appreciated - thank you!

Voice Mail password is located at the end of your carrier. If you have forgotten the password of your contact your carrier voicemail box to have it reset. This can be done from your handheld.

  • Lost icons on the homepage of Yahoo and Gmail blackBerry smartphones

I need help.  My storm to perform a deletion of the system my number of password attempts failed.  Nice - I know!   However, I went back in and put in password blackberry under the e-mail Configuration.  In the e-mail configuration, it showed the two e-mail accounts.  I checked the passwords and he returned verified.  However, when I went back to the home page icons are missing.  The "Messages" icon is the only icon and it connects all the emails, etc. are popping up here.

Is it possible to restore the icons of Yahoo and Gmail?  the only advantage I see of my dilemma, it is that redundancy is gone with the new account alert message yahoo and new message alert messages.

To prevent this from happening because I lost all my settings, icon positions, etc. I put the Desktop Manager to do an automatic backup.  I assume that this will eliminate the hassle in the future in a computer Pocket wipe or another similar deletion occurs.  Is this correct?  I'm new to blackberry.  My previous smartphone automatically saved and stored all the custom features.

Thanks for the help.   Any thoughts?

Make sure that the icons are not hidden. Just ALT + click on any icon and choose Show all. All the hidden icons will be displayed as being grayed out. If you find the icons of the now, just ALT + click then and uncheck Hide.

Correct the configuration of the backup & restore to backup automatically prevent this in the future because you might just restore from a backup

  • Questions on POP/IMAP and BIS blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all

I have a few questions about defining a blackberry to check your e-mail via BIS.

    1. What is the reasoning behind the creation of blackberry account sometimes POP3 and IMAP the other times? For me, POP3 would be something that you're not on a cell phone.

    2. Why is there no option to choose if you want POP3 or IMAP? I tried to delete the account and add it with an incorrect email address and password in order to get some additional questions during the installation but it does not require if I want POP3 or IMAP.

    3. Because POP3 seems to be an option, is it the same as any other POP3 client for example. Outlook, Thunderbird? What I mean it deletes messages from the server after it downloads? I don't want our users, that have POP3 because their Protocol on blackberry to have their blackberry is the only place where they can get their e-mail.

A few notes on some of the users and the BlackBerry models they have.

All users (as far as I know, there are some office users) have Verizon as their company.

It seems to me the question of POP/IMAP, I do experience is not limited to a single type of model. I have a few users who have the storm, their account has been set up using IMAP, other storm users have been set up as IMAP. I myself have a curve (8330) Mine was installed as IMAP, I recently install an another 8330 users and them was configured as POP3. Another user has a Perl and is IMAP. A user has a global publishing and that is using pop. It seems to me that there is no reason why they choose POP or IMAP.

Thank you all in advance for your help.

    Eric

Hello! I'll try to answer some of this...

    1. What is the reasoning behind the creation of blackberry account sometimes POP3 and IMAP the other times? For me, POP3 would be something that you're not on a cell phone.

... In my humble OPINION the "reasoning" is pure flexibility – to allow a user to access each account type and thus better reflect what they can do on their computer. What about 'if' POP should or should not be on a cell phone, which falls in the pure opinion.

    2. Why is there no option to choose if you want POP3 or IMAP? I tried to delete the account and add it with an incorrect email address and password in order to get some additional questions during the installation but it does not require if I want POP3 or IMAP.

The selection would be a chosen mail server function. Most of the facilities I've seen who have both have separate servers for POP and IMAP for exactly this reason. In addition, some services (GMail comes to mind) allow the user to enable or disable one or both. Instructions for configuring (and be able to direct them to an e-mail specific and, therefore, either POP or IMAP server) are here:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10154&SLIC...

Non - Default BIS leaves a copy on the e-mail server for both types of integration. If, however, they remove on the BB and have enabled OTA synchronization and are integrated into a consistent account, it will remove from the server. Check this list for how it integrates with different services:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB05133&SLIC...

I hope that this information will help you get at least a step forward for the problems you're having with your users.

  • Password of locked blackBerry Smartphones.

I have exceeded the maximum time of password and command me enter "blackberry" to continue.

Please what I would do, blackberry 8800.

When the 5th and 10th attempt (LAST!), just type the word "blackberry" to continue to try and enter the password. If you do not put the password on the 10th attempt and then will get wiped to the device.

  • Password forgotten to blackBerry Smartphones and off email earlier

Hello. I would really appreciate it if someone from Blackberry can fix this for me.

-J' stopped using my blacberry curve device last year.

-Earlier this year, I was to disable an account gmail of mine, as it was old and redundant.

-I am now trying to unlock my blackberry curve phone but I don't remember the password.

-J' tried to connect to my blackberry ID to reset my phone password but the email is that I disabled.

You see the dilemma I am?

I don't want the data to be destroyed. I have only 1 try left.

I feel that the only way for this to solve is to an Angel of blackberry to come along and sort of "circumvent the rules" to solve the problem for me.

    All responses welcome

Hello and welcome to the community!

Sorry to burst your hopes, but there is no overcoming the password locking device created by the user, other than through the site Protect, which you say that you already have locked yourself on. It's a shame that you've tried 9 of 10 times... you only get a chance to further wipe it clean. There is no master password or substitution that anyone can give it to you... This is just not in the ultra secure BB world.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones voicemail indicator

So I am new to the blackberry world.  I'm used to smartphones based on windows, but I don't think it's my problem.  I do not show an icon of any kind, when I have a voicemail.  This has happened on one of my other phones from verizon and they couldn't fix it either and I had to get a new phone.  I really don't want to have to get a new phone because it took me a while to get my microsoft exchange and blackberry enterprise servers.  I hope I am missing a setting somewhere.

    Thank you

never mind - I feel like a * beep *.  Never thought the issue might be with the voice mail admin settings.  but I kept reading this meesage forum and figured it out.

    Thank you

  • Problems with update and restore blackBerry Smartphones

Hello I'm a newbie here, but have some problems with BB Bold 9900 updated.

During the update alls datas were recorded as usual during restart the BB there's an error to come, means that BB lost its operating system. I used the tips here and somwhere else to restore successfully. Unfortunately the data stored during the update process have not restored, even if the file already exists on my PC.

The file is called LoaderBackup-(2013-09-26) .bbb - so almost similar to the usual backup file.

Ho do I restore the data now?

Thank you much for the help.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones voicemail icon

    Hello

My Blackberry 9300 shows me the voicemail icon, in the form of a tape reel. The weird part is that I don't have a voicemail on my phone and I don't know how to get rid of the icon. Help, please.

    Thank you.

    Hello Girishrao

The icon may have been defined by the provider of the phone. If you want to remove the application, please go to the icon Options Select device and search for Application Management and remove fron the list. If you just want to get rid of the icon, you can just hide it by highlighting, then press the Menu key and choose hide.

    Hello

Sorry, but I don't think that applies quite as described. The icon has the OP mentions is the status bar icon and has nothing to do with an installed application, or no matter what icon homescreen hidable. On the contrary, this icon is indeed pushed by the carrier of voice for BB services. For a reason, even with no voice mail service, the carrier is pushing the State for BB... icon and the corrective action is to ring up the carrier of voice services to correct what is happening in the background with them. For example, it is perhaps true that the OP has no voice mail service, but the carrier could easily have badly configured it and actually enabled voicemail services...

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphone Voicemail message/story problems

I have two problems with the voicemail on my Bold 9900 that appeared in the (previously fine) young a few weeks. (1) I get a "new voicemail" message: when I call voicemail, it turns out that the message is an old one. (2) when I call voicemail, the narrative of "you have a new message" is interrupted by a sequence of sounds as if dial a number on a phone keyboard, followed by a 'key '0' continue'.  Can anyone help?

    Hey Ianhood,

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Your voicemail notifications, and voice mail are controlled by your wireless service provider, I suggest you contact your ISP wireless for more investigations.

    Thank you.
