Password invalid Smartphones blackBerry BIS email service

I've had my Storm 9530 since he was released in November 2008.  I did have problems with BIS by e-mail.  A month ago I received an e-mail saying that I have to go in the configuration of messaging and update the password.  After the opening of the configuration of the e-mail icon, I was asked in Validate my email account I did.  Oddly enough, I had not changed my password.  It was the same thing, but I re-validated e-mail account without problem.

Today, I get the same message.  My BB did not e-mail.  I'm in the e-mail configuration.  Yet once again, I have not changed passwords.  I am asked to validate the e-mail account, but the e-mail setup application says that my password is invalid.  I checked very carefully for errors of key STROKE.  The password is correct, but I can't access email on my BB.  I still have web access to my email address using the same password.  FYI, I use a legacy AOL e-mail account.

I was able to connect tot e-mail later in the day... must have had a problem with AOL.

    Well, better judgment, IMHO - is so subjective to every persons wishes. But here are a few facts that may help you choose.

    The two methods only provide you with email OTA - you need to use captive sync for the rest.

    BIS - your business email must have a compatible Internet email interface (for example, OWA, POP, IMAP) and must not use an ISA device. If you can already get your email from the company from a PC that faces the gross internet (for example, without going through a VPN tunnel), then it is most likely that the BIS may work.

    Desktop Redirector - this requires a PC to be left on all the time, connected to your corporate email (whether inside your corporate network or via VPN tunnel), so that it can get new emails and send them to your BB.

    My preference goes BIS since it requires not just always on the PC (which can easily have a hiccup any who needs attention practice to rectify). But that's my preference.

    Hello, I am the COMPUTER administrator for my company. I recently migrated our Windows Small Business Server 2003 with Exchange 2003 system to new hardware. We have a BlackBerry Curve 8530 that is configured to use BIS and OWA to get his e-mail on the BlackBerry.

    Before the server migration, the BlackBerry smartphone has been able to send and receive email without problems. After migration, the unit can no longer send or receive e-mails. I tried to delete the account and add it again with the correct information and he added successfully.     Follow-up in case someone else has this problem in the future:

    The problem was that the name of the certificate that is installed on the new server was not the same as on the old server. No one that I spoke to anywhere (ASBL or RIM) could help me understand this, it was just something that I tried and it worked. I changed the name on the certificate to match what it was on the old server and then the Blackberry was immediately able to send and receive correctly by using BIS and OWA.

    I am able to make calls, send text, browse the web. The device essentially works as a normal phone less characteristic of BB.

    I tried:

    2. reset to factory settings

    3. how to get the new host Routing Table

    4. called service provider, they could not help.

    But the above did not result in any success so far.

    So here's my situation. Recently, my college did this swtich to use an exchange server to manage e-mail to google apps. As it happened that I did receive emails on behalf of my school on my blackberry or Apple's mail application. It seems that my school did not day of the information out there to take account in the e-mail settings information database, googles servers. On my Macbook, I solved this problem by removing the account in my prefrences and then disconnected from the internet, so the mail app could not refer to the e-mail and then settings Apple database I entered the google imap server info manually. The problem is that I can't force BIS do not reference the list e-mail settings. Whenever I have delete and readd my bis school account it automatically recognizes as an Exchange account so that I can not add google imap settings. Is anyway around this or should I wait for my school contact RIM to update their new email settings?
