    What should I do now?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Does that mean hard drive is faulty / failed.

Make your model have two hard drives, or is it only a configuration of hard disk?

You have to replace the failed with a new similar form factor.

Any notebook internal 9.5 mm good brand 2.5 inch SATA HDD would work.

You must use the recovery media after replacement, to restore factory settings.
If you do not, you have to order from HP in your area directly.

  • Pavilion elite e9280t: hard disk failure

My HARD drive has failed. Can I replace my ST3750528AS (700 GB, 7200 RPM SATA) with the last disk of 1 TB of Seagate (ST1000DM003)? They also offer a player of games, ST1000DX001, listed by Seagate as a SSHD, whatever that means. This player works as well? I am looking for a quick replacement. All the other things I need to know about the replacement of this drive? I have the recovery disks that I did when I bought the system.

The ST1000DM003 should work fine as a replacement for the default ST3750528AS.  The SSHD is synonymous with hybrid system in the solid state (SSHD) of the Wiki.

If the ST3750528AS still works, you can clone that to the new drive, which will do everything currently on your system to always be there.

Investigate cloning if it seems attractive.

After a few minutes, he went to the auto repair, loading screen for 5-10 minutes, then returned to a blank screen.

  • HP Pavilion 400-434 Office: intelligent control of hard disk: failure

    Hello

It all started when the computer would go blank right after startup, the HP logo would come upward, then 'auto repair preparation", more... Just empty. After reading the forums online, I did all the possible troubleshooting steps and at the end I did the SMART test... the result was:

    Verification of the processor: past

Intelligent control of hard disk: failure

    Failure ID: RGD7MK-7HV7RC-9XJ16K-60BB03

After obtaining these results, when I turn on the computer, it gives me a blue screen saying: drive SMART 1 error (301) and told me to test once again, that I did and got the same result as above.

Here is some info from the computer:

    Model: HP Pavilion slimline 400-434

    Processor type: pentium (R) of the Intel (R) J2900 @2. 41 GHz

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there @Brugalgirl

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that your computer does not start successfully, and you found a Smart Drive 301 error code. I'm happy to help you with this.

I checked the ID of the failure, you've posted and verifies that the error. Unfortunately, this means that your hard drive needs to be replaced.  In view of the fact that the system does not boot, it is likely that the hard drive is completely unreadable, but depending on what you have on this subject, it may be worth your while to check with a local computer service shop and see if they can help to recover data from your hard drive.

If your system is relatively new and may be covered by the warranty, or if you wish to fix with HP for the guarantee system, you can call in hotline to make these arrangements. In this case, please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a folder for your question and contact HP. If you do not live in the United States / Canada, please click on the link below to get contact information for your region.

Otherwise you can look at a replacement hard drive yourself. If you have a set of recovery media, then you already have a factory image HP, which allows you to put in place a new hard drive with your original operating system. If is no longer, you have a set or did not have a set of recovery media, so you can see if there are not yet available for your model.

  • HP Pavilion 6653w "imminent hard drive failure! "Backup and replace. Questions.

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion 6653w with Windows 7 Home Premium desktop computer.   It is 4 to 6 years old.  Recently, when I start it, I get a message "imminent hard disk failure!  Please save and replace as soon as possible."  I've never had to replace a hard drive before, so I have some questions:

1 should. what type of disc do I replace - be of the same type that I have now?  (Hitachi, 1 TB).   Is there a list somewhere that shows which drives are not suitable for my computer?

2 - is a mechanically inclined person (my husband) could do at home, or that it does not require a professional?  My husband has replaced a front memory card, we just request if it is similar to the one in trouble?

    Thank you!

This link will take you to a document on the withdrawal and the replacement of a hard drive on a HP or Compaq desktop computer.  If it is not identical to your case, it will be a little similar.  The point is, that it is not terribly difficult; This is something you might be able to tackle yourself, or with a friend who has some experience with computers.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello:

Thanks for you immediate response.  I think your solution is the way to go.  So if I get the HP recovery USB and the new HD is installed, I have to change the boot order in the BIOS to make it work and in what order, if so.  Or do I plug in and turn on the machine and let it do it's thing?  Thank you for your time, which is very much appreciated.

You must enable secure in the BIOS first start and then turn on legacy mode get new material, working on the laptop. You can also change the order of boot on USB to boot from USB but I think that by pressing F12 or F10 shows you boot options fast without change anything whatsoever in the BIOS.

  • Pavilion T3065.uk hard drive failure

My Pavilion T3065.UK sticks on a BACK page when turned on who says ' Maxtor6b200m0 disk failure is imminent - press F2 to continue. " He then works, but slowly. The computer is more than 5 years old. Is it possible to change the hard drive (200 GB) for greater capacity and this will solve the problem? Does anyone know which hard drive work with my computer?

    Paul

    Hi Paul,.

The main difference between SATA and SATA2 is the speed of data transfer (150 MB/s and 300 MB/s respectively).  These are however the theoretical speeds - I have never seen 300 Mbps on my PC!  However, SATA2 is backward compatible, so if your motherboard doesn't support SATA (which according to me, what it does in your PC) a SATA2 drive just by default SATA speed.

To be quite honest, I'm not sure on a 1 to or 2 TB of HARD drive in the bios of some older computers can stop all of the space being considered.   You'd probably beautiful with the readers of this size, it's just that I don't know who did.

    I hope this helps.

  • E4N79EA #UUG: hard disk failure

Disk hard diagnosis fails with error GU077V-6R7899-MFGJXG-60SV03 code.  What is the restore/repair for this?

    Dear customer,

Whenever the hard drive test short DST fails indicating that the hard drive has failed and which needs to be replaced to solve the problem

This problem could be due to an Application or a driver conflict, virus issues, corruptions of files due to incompatible applications, incorrect judgments, update failures due to conflicts, mounted sudden power so portable, sudden falls etc...

HP will offer a replacement HDD if the laptop warranty is Active, otherwise you can buy a SATA hard drive in a nearby retail store

Please make sure that you get at least equal as long as the original one in order to use recovery disks. If you need you can buy a bigger, but not smaller hard drive capacity. For example, if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can improve it to 750 GB hard drive, but not 320 GB hard drive

Please try the troubleshooting below indicated once the steps:

Step 01. Remove the battery and unplug the power adapter AC.

Step 02. Press and hold the power button for more than 30 seconds

Step 03. Plug the AC power adapter / (leave the battery for now)

Step 04. Press the power button and check if the unit is operating normally

If the steps listed above is not enough, then you can try reinstalling the hard disk on your laptop

If the problem persists again please Contact HP if your HP laptop is under warranty, HP could replace the hard drive and provide recovery media to restore the operating system to factory after the replacement (if you have not yet created recovery disks/USB support)

Note: Back up all personal data on an external drive if possible. Otherwise, you can connect the faulty HDD through SATA USB adapter with another PC or a PC even after replacing the drive HARD and reinstall the operating system and try to copy / retrieve files.
