    Hi there @antonio55,

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that you are looking for advice on how to clean your screen.  I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Please see: HP monitors - Safety and Maintenance Guidelines, under the heading "Cleaning the monitor" for details of cleaning, but be sure to read both safety related information.  Depending on what you mean by "halos" try following the instructions for the materials to be used. If you have in the past used something on the list of cleaning products do not turn out to serve, you may have already damaged a part of the screen.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Pavilion 15-p206tx: 10 windows clean install

I update my windows 8.1 to windows 10 via free update. I don't l, t clean install. I installed the graphics driver nvidia Manager recovery and rebooted the system, but the windows didn, t turn on rather displayed a black screen with cursor blinng. Then I clean my pc pre-installed with windows 8.1 on recovery drive. New 10 update is this time I wanted to clean the windows download install with windows 10. This process erases the recovery disc which is a hard drive partion?

More than likely, the recovery partition will be useless after the upgrade.   Suggest you make a backup image of hard drive using Macrium reflect free on an external hard drive before you do anything whatsoever, not the trial version.

There where of compatibility problems reported before you try to upgrade to Windows 10.

The SlimCleaner was probably download with something else, that's why I always custom install to control what is installed.  This program is more of a scam than anything else and suggest uninstall you.  If is far too aggressive for beginners to use.

  • HP Pavilion G7: Internet connection

I use a laptop HP Pavilion G7. I decided to clean the laptop with a 64 bit Windows 7 disc. Everything was good, except when Windows starts. I can't connect to internet and it says "install a driver for your network card. If you have a network card, you need to reinstall the driver. "I have no idea what that means or how to fix the problem. Reply as soon as possible - Matthew

Upload the file to another PC and copy it to a USB key.

Plug into usb port of your g7 flash drive and run it from the flash drive or copy it to your windows desktop and run it.

  • Problem reinstalling Windows 7 on Pavilion dm1 netbook with software HP-published records

Hello, I have a Pavilion dm1 that require a clean installation of the Windows 7 operating system due to a keylogger problem that could not be defeated.  After backing up my system, I used DBAN Boot and Nuke to zero to HD.  I tried to reinstall the OS with the published HP recovery disks.  Everything seems to load fine until I got to the screen showing "Windows Setup".  There is a small pop-up screen indicating "Windows is now set the following...". "The 'installing the software preparation" has a check mark next to it, and the order of the day on the "Software Installation" list is highlighted. I then get an another pop up screen indicating "You must restart your computer to apply these changes", but the touchpad does not work where I can still get the pointer to appear to make a choice.  The system hangs just upward at this stage.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.  Thank you.

How do you lond it hang before you finished it?

HP recovery restarts on its own (several times) you shouldn't have to do anything and it is recommended that you do not use the keyboard or a touch pad during the recovery process, it can be a process hours several retrieving records. Be sure the wireless is turned on when you start the recovery process.

  • WE157AA #ABU: showing no signal after a pure fan

Hi, I have a 3 year old HP Pavilion Office. I often clean the fan because dust accumulates really and the fan is noisy. Take it works fine after a good cleaning. However this time the computer started as a normal fan runs fast & you hear the welcome tone and other computer sounds, start-up but the display shows 'No Signal'

I tried to turn off the computer by pressing the 4 or 5 seconds and then restart, but it makes no difference. I did this several times.

The fan will slow down normally & becomes silent once the computer has booted, but he is staying on at full speed this time.

I have no other choice than to completely shut down the power button.

It is not the monitor & just to be safe, I connected another monitor & same poblem. No signal.

Thank you for your response. It has none of the steps mentioned in the document. I read in another post on stirring the fan which is what I did and it worked. It has been fine since.

  • Pure install Win 7 - hybrid hard drive

I have a HP ENVY Ultrabook 6-1030sm laptop. It uses a hard drive (hybrid) combined with ssd. I want to install a clean version of Windows 7. After you run the installer, I get an error message indicating "no hard disk found. "Click on load a driver to provide a driver for installing mass storage. I tried to copy the drivers (both exe and extracted) on USB, but after scanning the content, he always says there is no hard drive found on the selected source.

Google produces an idea that I should use diskpart, select one of the disks and clean it. DiskPart tells me that there is only a single disk with 7 GB in size. I guess it's the SSD HARD drive part.

Please give me help on what I have to do to install a clean version of Windows 7 and always use SSDS. Thank you!

    Hello:

    Try this...

Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=23060&keyword=Intel+RAPI...

Extract the files on a usb flash drive.

With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and hopefully W7 should install.

I had also read that info since you have a hybrid drive.

  • problems with sound after installing windows 7

My sound/audio does not work on my HP Pavilion dv2023tu notebook after a clean installation of windows XP.

The convenience store said there is a problem with the driver, but I can't find a new driver through windows update, and HP does not either for my model. The device installed on my laptop is called high definition Audio Device. Can anyone help, if not, where can I download the drivers from. It is better to buy driver update software to help locate the right driver?

    Hello

A lot of Vista for Windows 7 drivers, so try the following.

Download the Audio driver from the link below and save it to your desktop.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp34001-34500/sp34387.exe

Once the download is complete, right-click on the Setup program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  If the driver installs successfully, restart the computer and check your audio files.

  • DV6 7000 with RAID 0 - SSD Upgrade?

I have a dv6 7000 series, Intel 3210 m, 750 GB hd with ssd of 32 GB as a cache - according to the Device Manager, I have a Raid 0 configuration. I have the latest version of the BIOS.  Can I put this by replacing the HD with a SSD?  If so, will it remove the ssd of 32 GB?  The installer has nothing on readers - it will detect automatically?  I put in place a chat session with technical support twice, getting 2 different answers, none of them well informed. Thanks for any help

Here's the thread I was talking about.

    http://Forum.NotebookReview.com/HP-Pavilion-notebooks/676213-definitive-guide-clean-install-OS-MSSD-cache-equipped-laptop-dv6t-7000-dv7t-7000-Envy17-3200-a.html

The 32 GB SSD cache is a micro-SATA card (which is upgradable - they come as large as 512 GB now) so you want to probably not install your OS on it because it is not very much space, but you can be upgraded to 128 GB for now relatively cheap and then you won't have not to lose all your mechanical hard disk = space)

  • HOW TO CHANGE SATA to RAID mode (SSD CACHE PROBLEM)

    Hello

I have a HP Envy 4 1054tx Ultrabook with 500 GB drive HARD + SSD of 32 GB. My HARD drive crashed and replaced it with a new one. Unfortunately, my restore disk does not work so I installed fresh new WIN7. I try to use the SSD caching capability of my laptop (which he did before, when I bought it).  Based on the forums I've read, the SSD cache implementation requires that the SATA controller must be set to RAID mode.  However, when I entered the BIOS, there is no option or the configuration that I can use to set SATA RAID my HARD disk mode.  In this regard, I can't meet one of the requirements of SSD caching.  Here are some of my BIOS Setup.  Can you help me please guys how to work on it? I am not convinced, on how my phone performs without SSD caching.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello:

Disk controllers hard HP consumer notebooks cannot be changed from their default values.

More than likely if your model is equipped with a hybrid drive, the speed control is already defined with RAID.

I recommend you to read this blog on how to get this Setup to work on a new install of W7.

  • Discs of recovery or installation discs for Win7?

Is it possible to buy the Win7x64 installation disk from HP for my laptop Pavilion dv6-7000?  I cleaned the system, elimination of most of the HP bloatware and subsequently found to make a set of recovery disks to restore the system to the new condition, I need to use the Recovery Manager > creation of recovery disks that no longer exists.

If this request fails, I can buy a set of recovery disc from HP for my laptop?

    You are the very welcome.

    That is right.

What you may be getting confused about (for lack of better term), is that the recovery disks have a product key encoded and pre-activated, and you don't need to enter the product key or activate the installation using a manufacturer of PC - installation of the brand or the recovery made for the specific model or a disk group of models from the same manufacturer.

For example: computers business notebooks from HP recovery discs that consist of a single generic OS OEM installation disk, no different from that which you have just downloaded, with the exception of a pre-activated in the disk, product key and as long as you install on HP PC meets the criteria of the disc is looking for you will not have to activate the software or change the product key.

With the OS disc is a driver and application of disc that you can run after the installation of the operating system.

    Best regards

Install the HP Vista card reader driver for your model to solve the problem with the Base system device:
