Pavilion 500 - a 003: hp support assistant

HP Support Assistant says that antivirus Protection is disabled.

In the task bar, there is a flag with a Red Cross, and when I click on that it says that Windows Defender is turned off (correct)

and that Norton 360 first is off.  But Norton is running and has a green check mark.

Why is this happening?

    Hi, so I have this laptop for more a yaer now, and whenver I try to update my drivers through HP Support Assistant, he begins, download then says installation then it says full, but nothing is really happening.     I understand that when you try to update the drivers by using HP support assistant there is no change.   You tried to uninstall and reinstall the HP support assistant without result.

    I would try to update the drivers manually.  Here is a link to the Drivers of laptop HP Pavilion 15-e056se to get them.

    If you still experience a problem you can try to install in safe mode. Safe mode of Windows 8

    If the problem persists, I suggest contacting HP support for assistance. They can access your system remotely to help overcome the difficulties.

    This is my first post, so I'll try to be as clear as possible.

    The HP Support Assistant updates, here's a picture of the screen update:

    I upgraded the OS on my g6-1188sa Notebook PC of Windows 7 Edition Pavilion Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional (64 bit). Which, I now realize was not necessary.

    You have the latest version of HPSA? If not, uninstall, restart your machine and get the latest here:

    Op system was previously bfr Windows 7 update to Windows 10 in Dec2015. Since then, have never been able to open HP Support Assistant. Am constantly pop-up "HPSF.exe has stopped working. The app has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. »

    I tried to uninstall HP Support Assistant, and I also tried to install latest HP Support Assistant without uninstalling the existing HPSA and the RRs, the following error message "the component you are trying to use is on a resource not available network. Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder containing installation pkg "HP Support Assistant.msi" in the box below. I found two files in my C: drive containing this file, but RRs andother error 'the path "C:\ProgramData\{18165758-115C-4DC0-9EC2-FF89F725767F}\HP Support Assistant.msi" was not found. ((Or I get another error that says that the file is not a valid installation for the product package)) Make sure you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package "HP Support Assistant.msi" in a folder that can install the HP Support Assistant product. If I click on 'Cancel' and RRs another error HPSA "error 1714. Cannot remove the old version of HPSA. Contact the technical support.

    Need help, am at a loss on how to fix me:.

  • PC HP PAvilion 15-N011TX NB: HP Support Assistant does not

    My Hp Support Assistant and a few other applications stopped working when I upgraded my Windows 8 Windows 8.1 windows form. I don't know why this is happening as I was using windows preinstalled in my notebook. Kindly to provide me a solution for this.

    Also, I want to know the product key of windows which I use because it never shows me a product key when I try to check it out.

    I understand that you have problems with the key product and HP Support Assistant. I want to help.

    Please uninstall the HP Support Assistant of the program and features in the control panel. Restart the computer and then download the HP Support Assistant from here: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html. Reinstall it.

    The product key has been incorporated in the BIOS. You will need software to read.

  • Pavilion dv7t-6100cto Quad: HP Support Assistant software does not properly

    The software assistant support as I understant that it has been recently updated by HP will not work correctly. The objects he finds to put up-to-date in trail drivers and software download but will not be installed. It indicates that an error occurred and he will try again later. Whenever he tries it again it gives the same result. It is proposed that a Software Support Update Wizard in this package but as mentioned above it will install not even during installation by itself. Oddly enough when you go to the HP support site and scan for the driver and the software updated this newer version of update of HP are not offered as an update. Someone knows how to fix this?

    I see that you are having problems with your HP Support Assistant. I'll be happy to help you with this problem. First go to your programs and features in Control Panel and uninstall it from there. Then download and install the HP Support Assistant again.  Then try to run the updates.  Let me know how it goes.

I looked in your question about your 15 HP Pavilion Notebook and the HP Support Assistant, showing a space where the question mark should be. Here is a link to troubleshoot the HP Support Assistant.     Regarding the name of the product: HP Pavilion 15 laptop PC - HP support assistant TS, it is a utility built to back up/set reminder with a USB key. I just want to know what password he wants to connect to do this. I tried my MSN psswd, my Simple Pass #, if she wants I used initially to put this in place new, can't remember what it was...?     I think what you're referring to is the utility to create a password reset in case you forget your password to connect to Windows. Sounds like it may be too late for that.

    Firstly, uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant using Microsoft 'Fixit' at the following link: this is particularly useful for correcting problems that may prevent resettlement on the machines running a 64 bit OS.

    When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  • HP Pavilion 500 - 205 T DT: HP Support Assistant does not work in Windows 10

    I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Professional (which came with my HP Pavilion) to 10 (64-bit) of the window.   I have problems with HP Support Assistant - tells me that the .msi file is missing.  I tried to uninstall, reinstall, and he always tells me that the .msi file is missing and I get error 1639, error 1714 and error 1603.  I TRIED all the articles and tips and nothing works.  Please help and send me the patch or the link for the fix to [personal information deleted].

    Try using revo uninstaller or geek uninstall to uninstall the previous version first.

    Then, try again to install the new version of HP Support Assistant from the link I posted.

  • HP Pavilion 500 series: I get a message saying that you have pending updates for Hp Support Assistant over and over again

    HI a little while back I upgraded to anniversary Windows 10 update things went well for me I keep hp Support Assistant on my desktop in the process of updating Windows 10 anniversary.  Finally, I decided one day to check hp Support Assistant to ensure that I had the lastestet version.  I went into Hp Support Assistant and clicked on about and clicked on the button for the latest version control, then a window is come in saying I had pending updates for Hp Support Assistant I would like to apply or not.  I pushed on the Yes button.  After the download and install updates and hp support Assistant stops and tempary files are deled then hp support Assistant will restart and return to the start page.  Everything seems to work fine download with green and white checkmarks circles with the categories above.

    I guesss I am asking for help it is because for days and days now when I go to HP support Assistant and click search the latest version that I get this message, you have pending updates for the support of hp Assistant you would like to apply or not.  I would now like to how pending updates will I have to ask a support Assistant hp until I don't see updates are available for the support of hp Assistant.

  • HP Pavilion 500-242ea: do not install after the OS re - install HP Support Assistant

    I had to make one count re - install Windows 8.1 and when I clicked on update HP Support Assistant... a specified message occurred during the update... Click Close. I can not install HP Support Assistant on PC. I downloaded the HP website sp68201 and it ran... the installation process went well but I see still no support help icon in the taskbar even after quick access HP Support Assistant ticking. I checked my pc and HP Wizard is installed in programs and found HPSE and clicked and HP Support Assistant main window appears and then HPSE does not. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times without result.

    I want to do a re factory - set again.

    I can't even re - install through Recovery Manager utility.

    Can anyone suggest how to get Wizard HP work?

    I managed to get HP Support Assistant job by running Microsoft Fix It program. I had to restart and run repaired several times. Then, I ran a deep analysis of all files HPSA previously using an uninstall program and deleted remainders. Then I reinstalled sp6801 file and everything is ok. I think that when doing a full reinstall something gets corrupted somewhere in the registry.

    I just bought a 500-220ea HP Pavilion running Windows 8.1 desktop PC. I can not locate Product Support pages include such things as drivers, troubleshooting, User Guides and contact HP. Can someone help me find the product home page in case I need to access these support pages that I listed above.

    Even when trying to access the web via HP online support page Support Assistant does not - the page that runs in my browser says "we have been unable to locate the support & troubleshooting for the product page"f6j53ea"

    I just want to know why there is no driver file for Windows 7 by using the HP Pavilion 500-003. I recently bought a new computer with Windows 8 pre-installed on it. I don't like Windows 8 and want to go back to Windows 7, as some programs that I use on another computer in Windows 7 are not compatible with Windows 8

    The reason why there is only Windows 8 drivers available for your model is that HP only supports PC operations for older windows operating systems.

    But be of good cheer, because you should be able to get W7 work properly on your model.

    First of all, make your recovery W8 discs set before installing W7 as the recovery partition/Manager no longer works after installing W7.

    There is a different mother Jasmine card of this model where most drivers W7 x 74 drivers should also work on your.  Certainly the drivers Chipset, Audio and network (contained in section original drivers).

    DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE FROM THIS LINK FILES

    The driver may not work because of the other processor that your model has vice one of the link above.

    I am new to the community of HP.

    I'm having a problem. Well, I can't really say it is a MAJOR problem because there is no threat to the system or anything, it's just one of those little annoying things.

    Yesterday, I updated my BIOS F.43 after being invited by HP support assistant. Update succeeded, charged back up the laptop, and the watch update STILL not installed on the HP support assistant. I reinstalled it and it still shows the same thing.

    It's just a bug and it is really installed and the wizard of support has not been updated?

    I read on the HP Support Assistant and prompt you to download on your HP Pavilion Notebook 15 - p204. As you can imagine this is a glitch. Ignore the update.
