Pavilion a6655f crashes

I bought a pavilion of a6655f about a month ago and everything works great... except for the part when it crashes

See, it happens all the time when I run a game in 2D, it's always the same I play and that the screen move then everything crashes, computer stops responding and does nothing at all... also rest on the screen as with the stuff that I looked at, but there are thin vertical lines red all over the screen, and then I have to restart manually by pressing the button for about 5 seconds Once the computer has done this and it turns off, then when I turned it on again, it wouldn't start... He stood just at the initial start of HP screen.

I think it's a display issue or I don't know, my drivers are up to date and my computer, it is in stock, I have not changed anything.

Vista 64, integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430.

After reading several forums on problems like that, I came to the conclusion that the problem is the integrated processor or a card or something else, I read that people has solved that problem by returning the machine and the store replaced a defective MOBO, in any case, it is my conclusion based on what I read also I think it's true because I just upgraded to a HD4670 and it works great, and it is not locked, so that you either, go back and say it is damaged, or upgrade, I would stay there I got rid of the problem already, but I'm too lazy so meh...

  • Pavilion a6655f: hard drive or power supply problem?

A few days ago, I was trying to low loading part of the steam.  My download speed is 30 kbs, obviously not good.

I did some basic checks, malware, viruses, etc., but did not find any problem.  I did a diagnostic check and got a BIOHD-8 error code, which indicates a hard drive problem.  I decided to try to reset the computer back to the factory setting before changing the hard drive and once that I made and updated windows Vista for several hours, I restarted the diagnosis and he came clean.  Then I updated my software, including steam and a few games.  Downloads were fast and had no problems.  Later that night the computer started to shut down randomly, and I was unable to run any games.  Thinking it's maybe a power supply problem, I have replaced my graphics card with an elder who needs less energy.  I am able to run without any problems so far.  So, I'm looking for help in identifying my problem.  HDD problem, power supply, something else?  Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hard to say without proper trials.

You can use a hardware monitor HW Monitor to monitor tensions it is: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
But there is no software that can test a power supply.

You can get a tester of hardware like this too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16899887005

But there is really no of it will predict fails if the power supply, if you overloaded it, if its duration in time high, or if the power supply is a device of poor quality that can be subject to failure.

You can also check that your power cable is comfortably installed on the computer and not frayed.  Try a different wall jack where there are fluctuations in power.

  • Pavilion m9340f crashes with a blue screen error. Windows 7 Ultimate 64

Running Windows 7 on my computer of Pavilion m9340f, I lived occasional crashes 'blue screen '. To try to solve the problem, I inserted carelessly the original Windows 7 DVD in the drive of the computer, thought could be used to repair the problem, or "reboot" of the software. What has resulted, it was that the newly installed Windows 7 was found to be "not a copy genuine Windows" and would not allow me to use the features of the operating system.  I was then told to format the hard drive of my computer, I did, and I did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate, which now has been accepted as authentic. Initially, the computer seems to work normally, but BlueScreen crashes became more frequent, occurring almost every time I used the computer. I run HP Diagnostics that shows no problem. I have eliminated most of the software programs that could cause a conflict. I am running, currently: Norton 360 first Edition, Microsoft Word 2010 and Google Chrome - one of them could be the cause of the conflict? Please advise on possible solutions. Thank you!

    Steve N.

    Hi Steve,.

Try to delete (see below) everything except a strip of Ram in the computer and then see if it will work normally.  If this is the case, add another stick in and try again - as soon as the blue screen events happen, you will know that the last stick of ram you have installed is the problem.

If the PC bluescreens yet with one stick of RAM, try the same stick, but in a different location - if it works OK now, this may indicate that the location of memory has failed.  If there's some bluescreens, remove the Ram and try the process above with a different memory module.

Let me know the result of this.

  • HP Pavilion g6 crashes randomly when it's on battery

I have owned my laptop g6 for five or six years. A few months ago, I noticed that if I disconnect the power adapter, it will work a while then suddenly crash well. This happens even with the battery fully charged.

I am considering buying a new battery, but I don't want to lose money if it is a different issue since the battery seems fine. Any suggestions?

    Hi hosscomp2,

I still think it's the battery that is the source of the problem.  Batteries lose their charge over time and you mentioned you had this laptop for 5 or 6 years, it might just be time for a new battery.  Page 40 of the maintenance and Service of Guide, you will find the part number compatible for a spare battery.

In an effort to be complete, we will also check the rest of the material. You can use the Tools of diagnosis UEFI to check failures.  Run system - wide Test Test to verify everything.

It says something about the newly installed disable the software, but the only software that I downloaded recently is a mechanic system.

    Help, please!

    Hello Grey_tree,

    It's perfect!  Thank you!

Take a look at this document for troubleshooting.  It's for "Troubleshooting start-up problems."  It provides steps for troubleshooting for your particular issue.

After that perform the hard reset, scroll down on the document and you'll see several startup scenarios.  Yours is among them - select the 'error message appears on a blue screen"and perform the troubleshooting steps.

Please let me know your results.

    Good luck!

  • HP Pavilion dv7 crashes at startup

My computer froze when I was watching a movie and I had to stop it. When I got to the top, it was really slow and eventually crash within minutes. I tried to use system restore and I chose a restore point from the day before, but he would usually give me an error message that does not make sense. I also tried the Startup Repair. He said he found a problem and tried to fix it, and it would run Windows normally if it succeeded. Nothing has changed, and Windows has continued to slow down and crash. So I re-upgraded my computer to Windows 7. It seems to work very well until he got to step 5 (end of installation) and did nothing more than an hour. So I canceled the installation, but still, he wouldn't do anything. I held the power button and shut it down.

Since then, my computer crashes always after the HP logo appears. It shows just a black screen and after a while, several squares/rectangles appear on the screen. Whenever I press F11 at the HP logo, it just shows a blank screen and makes a beep sound whenever I press a key. When I run the Windows 7 upgrade disc, it seems to load correctly but the installation window does not appear. When I ran my backup of Windows Vista disk, it works perfectly fine. However, this disk running will delete all my files. I think that my files may still be on my computer because nothing happened that should deleted, because the upgrade to Windows 7 (although incomplete) should have moved my files to a folder named windows.old.

My files are very important, and I hope there's a way to fix my computer without deleting them (assuming they are still on my hard drive). If there isn't a way to get back them, then I'll be always ready to launch the Vista backup drive. My last backup file was about three months ago, and there are a lot of significant changes since then.

I tried the upgrade to Windows 7 again and this time it worked. It often freezes, but as long as I'm careful I can keep it from crashing. I am currently backing up my files and when it's done I'll use my backup disks. Thanks anyway for your help.

  • HP Pavilion: Computers crash, nothing works

    Hello

For the last month or so I had problems with my computer. It started when I took my laptop to the University (connected to the Internet there) and then brought it home. My computer keeps freezing, judgment, runs very slowly and most of the time, I have to restart the computer with the on /-button to get back to work. I can hardly closed my computer via desktop screen (by actually clicking on 'closed'), since I do not so far without the computer to freeze.

Before that, I could not access my PC settings or built-in programs such as Mail, since I put Windows 8 on Windows 8.1. But my computer has worked fine until this day. Now he's got the worst yet: if I open too at the same time, the computer immediately freezes and I have to wait for something to rework the ages. I've already disabled several processes (to reduce the boot time) and ran an AVG scan - several times, but nothing has so far allowed.

My computer is not only the old (I got it for a year about) and virtually no memory has been used. I have no viruses on it, and just all installed programs.

Can someone help me? How can I make my computer stop freezing, without reset and lose all my files on it?

Only losses which is not backed up, to return to the top of all the important files.  Do it NOW.  Next if this started after "when I took my laptop to the University (connected to the Internet it)", it is probably a malware or virus or both.  Just because AVG does not does not mean it is not there.  AND it depends on which AVG product you have.  AVG Internet Security works well if it paralyzes you not.  However, to make a saving mode scan, then download Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware (both free) leash to update and run a scan full with them, one at a time.  If both say it's own then most likely it is.  Can I do a clean install, either from the partition recovery or with the drive put to put things back to work again.  If you didn't receive everything to work after going to 8.1, use the installation media 8.1 rather than the recovery media and start with a good clean system.

  • DM1 #WX899UA #ABC notebook: pavilion Dm1 crashed during the attempted upgrade win7 win10

TRIED to LEVEL WITH WIN10 media USB and after two days creating his stop because she looks stuck.

Tried to resuscitate her for the last two days and currently hdd is no longer recognized in the bios.

the last time I saw drive c with 15 meg of 200 GB drive was something during the chkdsk command that I fell into the 10 victory of the media creation tool repair mode. I had to 'unlock' or dismount the Volume, and all open handles subsequently would be invalid.

    (Whatever that means...).

now I can start only from the USB port. As in the bios, there is no device found startup, there is no hard drive in the bios says hard drive test.

now I think I need to get a win7 on USB startup file to get her going again... maybe? If yes where?

also when I tried to download win7 from MS, REQUIRED the product key but the label is worn and were guessing the lack of tanks erase...

Of course right about now, I have a few words of choice for bill gates... with his win 10 that my laptop is verified to be able to run!

any suggestions are welcome. BTW, tried all the suggestions on the HP support site...

Also makes a disc image before I looked at all this, but it is not accessible because of the bios not being able to see the hard drive...

    Thank you

OK, thanks for this update - guess their link is more ISOs OEM.

So here's another link - and it does not include the OEM ISOs, but again, I don't know if they will work for HP: http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/universal_windows_downloader.html

  • A1100y Pavilion Desktop crashes

I have a Pavillion with XP3 which restarts at random times and is back with the serious error message.  I've already tried

update most drivers and disable restart with error checking.  I changed the power supply and hard drive.  I was hoping to spend this machine to Win 7.  Any thoughts?

    Escargot9, welcome to the forum.

When I see an old computer, my first thought is the power supply unit (PSU).  However, since you upgraded the PSU, my next well is memory.  There is no form on the Product Specifications page.  So I can't say how many modules are installed on the computer.  If there is no diagnosis in the BIOS, you can test the memory by deleting all the modules and replacing them one at a time and start.

This is the section "solving a problem" of the computer.  You can go in the memory (RAM) / motherboard / BIOS section to see if all the guides will help you.

Once the computer running, you must run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.  This will tell you if it is running on the computer.  If you don't have 2 GB of memory, this is a must with Win 7.

  • removal of the hard drive HP Pavilion s3360

My HP Pavilion s3360 crashed 2 days ago, but because I had to buy a new pc anyway, I don't really mind. But I want to try to delete data on my drive hard (if he has not 'dead'...), so I tried to remove it, but the dvd drive is in the way (even I see not the HARD drive). I tried to remove the dvd drive, but that seemed to be stuck... I don't know much about computers, so I'd like some advice on how to remove the dvd drive (and after the HARD disk) on this particular type of pc.

  • Pavilion 4070 - us: new hard drive for the recovery disks do not work! Help!

Hi - the hard drive on my Pavilion 4070 - crashed us, so I bought a replacement - a Samsung SSD 850 EVO, 256GB drive.  The problem is that I can't seem to get the recovery disks to work, and neither Microsoft nor HP is willing to help me.  Of course, Microsoft tells me they don't give me any help for Windows7 OEM versions and HP said that my product is no longer supported so they do not help me.  This is ridiculous - I own a legal copy of Windows 7 and I can't get any help from the company who sold me the computer?

What happens when I go through the process of installation with the recovery discs, is that instead of the Windows installation continue as it is supposed to, I have "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key any."  I'm desperate, I tried two different options - one was the minimum image recovery, the other was a factory restore.  Nothing seems to work. What can I do?   Moreover, the original hard drive is not * completely * dead - I can still access most of the data on it.

  • Pavilion g6t locked up, while you sleep, when you close the lid, or try to power off

My Pavilion g6t crashes when the screen turns off, or computer goes to sleep, also is not out with stop-power function.  Power light stays on, only is to restart the computer to completely turn off with power button / stop, and then re login.   This happened just after a HP recommended Refresh, any ideas?

I went back to the HP driver downloads support and ran an another Bios Update.

Alto, the computer began to work properly, the screen will be lite to the top of the keyboard.

Once asleep, wakes you up by button tapping power and computer stops correctly.

HP/Microsoft should seek to solve the problem of no compatibility with Bios level and

    other 'stuff' in the computer.

    Thank you
