Pavilion Dm4-3002TX beat Edition. Problem of recovery.

I have Pavilion DM4 - Beat 3002TX Edition.

I just download and install the demo of magic 8.0 norton partition of the site... and suddenly or accidentally eliminated my recovery partition. So I can't recover my system more or less disabled.

so, how can we recover the partition recovery on my laptop?

Thank you

You can try to order the HP recovery media, which unfortunately, is the only option left if you want to factory reset the system & bring all ppartitions of the factory again:

  • HP Pavilion DM4 - 3002TX Beats Edition supports mSata SSD 128 GB?

    Hello

I want to install a SSD 128 GB mSata in my HP Pavilion DM4 with 1 TB of HDD.

I already read the document "HP Pavilion dm4 Entertainment PC Maintenance and Service Guide"

It is said 'Supports a 32 GB mSATA SSD' and «a 20 GB mSATA SSD»

and when I read on combination mSata SSD with HDD.

"Support either a 750 GB, 5400 RPM, 9.5 mm hard drive + 20 GB mSATA SSD drive
configuration combination or a 500 GB, hard drive 7200 RPM, 9.5 mm + 20 GB mSATA solidstate
    combination drive configuration "

the document does not mix with 1 TB HARD drive.

The laptop supports SSDS this size and combination with 1 TB of HARD drive?

    Thank you

Yes it supports. See page 44 of this manual:

    Repair manuals

Check the service bay to be sure, you have the slot depicted on page 44.

The usefulness of the drive cache mSATA also depends on how much RAM you have, but I guess you have the 4 original concerts or at least no more than 8. Buy a 32 gig WSSD and install it. Restart the computer and let Windows load a driver. Now open the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Console. Go to the performance tab and activate the acceleration. You will be able to choose how many the mSATA to use for acceleration and you can so use it all because that anything left over will not do much good. Restart once or twice to leave the files to migrate the mSATA reader, you should notice a lot, a lot more quick time startup and better performance in general. There is no other practical use for the reader of the WSSD as an accelration cache. It is not really possible to use it as a boot drive, but install the accelerator cache is well worth.

Where do you live? All over the country. We can help you find the drive of the WSSD.

  • HP HP Pavilion dm4-3002ea Beats edition, the strange fan noise

Hey guys first post so sorry if this isn't the correct procedure to indicate the problem or the right section!
I have a HP Pavilion dm4-3002ea beats edition laptop, bought about a year and a half (so out of warranty).

Now, the problem of the half that I have is a terribly strange fan noise coming from the laptop ONLY when it was hibernation, it is Purring away while I'm typing on it now, fan works fine, no overheating or issues like that, I can game, leave it on for hours etc its perfectly fine. The only problem is in hibernation it! I always put in hibernation in order to keep all my work of University ready to leave when I'm back on it, with all my tabs and such always opens on the sections, I need. It is very good that he hibernates without problem. Its when I go and turn it back on, it makes a vibration noise which I assume is the fan for about 15-20 seconds (?) as his recovery after hibernation and then is perfectly fine once more. He never did this noise after the sequence of the hibernation, or when I restart it. It's awfully strange and something I want to just make sure is not a real problem that I need this laptop for my university work. I can only assume, is the fan that makes noise, but it could be the HARD drive maybe? Not too sure on this one. He never blue screens etc, the HDD works fine so I'm really at a loss here! Any advice would be appreciated.
Also I tried to clean the air fan, but I did not dare in disassemble correctly yet because it looks pretty complex of youtube, resembles access sick fan have to jump off the keyboard and the back which is a lot of effort. But if it goes bad opens and take a peek! I would like to know what it is, but I don't want to tinker with the bowels, as I used to do with my old laptop so its something stupid that is easily fixed! Also I always Hibernate it instead of closing it down, but being quite computer should not do lasting damage, I'm good? I mean he puts just the data disk HARD ready to be accessed the next time I turn it on? But hurt close more if this will help!
Another quick problem which is pretty stupid because it is a HP Beats edition... half the speakers do not work on the right side of the laptop! Ironically, good! I'm not too fussed as its plugged in speakers on my desk, most of the time, but still it's pretty boring, as well. It creaked and went off one day and then he jumped several times on but now seemed to give up! The other side works well, reinstall all drivers etc to make sure that it isn't is not material, so I guess a loose cable? Pretty stupid, really, but still I guess another reason for me to break open and get to the bottom of this! As laptops out of warranty and I don't really want to take to a store of the laptop, in the hope of an old House of the noise of the fan if possible challenge! Speakers aren't that big a deal as always half works very well.

    If necessary, these specifications:

    HP Pavilion dm4-3002ea
    Windows 7 64 bit
    Intel i5 2450M 2.50 Ghz processor

12 GB of Ram (I have added 8 gb on ago about 6 months so the amount)

    750 GB HARD drive.

    Congratulations to all!

    Hi Jack_DM4

If I understand correctly you are updated, but we have still the sound issue only with the laptop not on devices so it looks like that the speakers on the right side of your laptop may be missing and vibration is still ongoing with the fan, but only when it starts first to the top that looks like a balancing problem.

These two problems are hardware related but will not cause any damage to your computer. The speakers can be replaced if you choose by contacting HP here parts store and you place your order of new speakers and their replacement. If you are under warranty I would get fixed under warranty.

The problem of vibration is just the fan rebalance itself when it starts first to the top once it gets to the speed of the passing air forces hovering in the centre of balance so he and when he settles down if imbalance. If you can deal with noise very well, otherwise you can order a new one from the link above HP parts store.

If you are still under warranty I would strongly suggest that you get the notebook repaired under warranty as you may void the warranty if you open the notebook. If this is the case

I think it would be best if you contacted technical support HP for repair options.

Link US support for contact options for portable computers purchased in the United States.

Link to American support outside of the contact options for laptops purchased outside the United States.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums and please feel free to re-post if you have any questions or concerns. Have a great day!

  • Pavilion DM4 - 3090 Beats Edition - could not retrieve the BIOS update failed

    Hello everyone.

I was trhe proud owner of a HP Pavilion dm4-3090 Beats Edition until two days ago, when I updated my BIOS, but I was unable to power on the laptop again. The system simply feeds the button WE and the Wifi (F12), HARD drive turns a bit, DVD player makes a noise and powers of fan on any USB flash drive connected to power system; but only for a period of 1-3 seconds.

This process is repeated every 2 to 3 seconds.

I have vain tried to restore the BIOS from the HARD drive (the HARD drive has not changed, I have still the partition HP_TOOLS in), with key combinations: Windows + B, Windows + P, Windows + Esc, Esc + Fn, Fn + B, Fn + P, four arrows. I also tried to do this via USB flash drive (with UEFI tool provided by HP), put some BIOS downloaded HP in the root and the current, New records and previous USB drive, once again, in vain. The laptop seems forever trying to read the USB key, just it under tension and that's all.

So my question is if you please tell me what I do wrong and also, is there is another way to try to get it back.

Thank you very much in advance.

Resolved to send to a third party service for a reflash BIOS.

  • HP Pavilion dm4 - create from an identical laptop recovery disks?

I bought two HP Pavillion dm4s is about 2 years old, they are exactly the same, one for each child. One of them reported an imminent failure of the HD, I ran diagnosis and there is a smart hard disk error, I have re-sat HD, no luck.   I created a back up to a separate HD and ordered a replacement HD.

My question is... can I create recovery discs from the other laptop to use for the recovery of the laptop with the failing HD?

    Hello

As long as the machines (and the version of Windows - IE the Home Premium etc.) are identica, then Yes, the discs created on 1 machine should work correctly on the other.

Note:  Be sure to replace the failed drive HARD with one of the same capacity (or slightly larger) - installing a lower capacity drive is likely to cause problems with the recovery process.

  • Pavilion DM4 - 3000ea Beats: question memory Pavilion DM4-3000ea

    Hello

I am considering upgrading my laptop 4 GB to 8 GB of RAM. The current RMA is 1333 MHz dual channel. If I have 1600 MHz RAM for the upgrade, this laptop would automatically run it at top speed? He mentions 1600 MHz RAM in the maintenance manual, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience of this please?

    Thank you very much.

This manual also covers the third generation processors and motherboard chipsets 7 series that will run at 1600 mhz memory.

This manual is not for the dm4-3100 Series your DM4-3000 series. The chipset of your motherboard is theoretically capable of performing memory at 1600 mhz, but who has not implemented by HP.

  • HP Pavilion dm4: graphics driver Intel & AMD causing Windows Crash

    Hello.

    My laptop is

HP Pavilion dm4-3107tx Beats Edition Entertainment Notebook PC.   I tried to install the graphics drivers from this link:

    http://support.HP.com/ph-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-DM4-3100-beats-Edition-entertainment-not...

but I could not install the graphics card intel. It is said that the cell does not meet the minimum requirements of the graphics driver.

I also tried to install AMD and he did. But every time that I reboot, Windows startup crashes.

I also noticed that results for starting blocked when I recently updated my Windows, including the update for the driver intel which I have not yet installed (because I know that once I did, I do a lot of recovery and repair of the system for the umpteenth time).

And now I feel really stressed out about it because I've been formatted my laptop for the second time, and the last time it was with the release of the pilot intel. I was stuck again started back and I got really tired of him.

I really need help with that.

What I have to install ALL the drivers in the link before installing graphics drivers to ensure that graphics drivers will install?

    Hi @katrinahahaha,

    Thank you for your query.

I understand that you have a problem installing your graphics drivers.  After formatting the drive and installation of the Intel graphics driver, you have a problem starting.  Did you use the Recovery Manager to format and reinstall Windows 7?

You only need to install the driver AMD of the HP driver page because it contains the two pilots.  Please try this process:

    • Uninstall and remove two graphic drivers
    • Restart your laptop
    • Run the HP Support Assistant to help find and install the graphics drivers
    • You can also after the uninstall, remove the driver and restart, download and install just the driver AMD.

    HP Support Assistant

If this problem persists, try removing both drivers and using the Recovery Manager to install the drivers:

Computers HP - using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7)

Please let me know the results.

  • incomplete restore on hp Pavilion dm4

    Hello

I m just try using the recovery system my HP Pavilion dm4 laptop beats edition and it s being a nightmare... the fact that HP Don t includes a CD to reset the computer to factory settings is an incredible headache.

Model: HP Pavilion DM4-3002ea beats edition Notebook PC Entertaintment

    Product number: A8J22EA

    OS: Windows 7

I created a hollow of recovery DVDs, media recovery software, but I have tried 3 times and no luck. After I installed all 4 DVD my computer turns off and when I reboot I get a message saying MSDOS:

    "Please wait...".
    upDrvLtr:C:
    _"

Then, I get a screen that says:

    'Restore Icomplete '.
    The restore did not complete.
"Please select one of the following buttons: Save log/details/Retry.

If I click on "Détails", I get the following error:

    «Sysprep not properly launched...»
"The process results in panic CTO because the image isn't normal."

So I tried to order a new hollow disk best2serve.com but it s recovery is not possible because my laptop is in English and I live in Germany, whenever I place my order on the English site and I try to pay, the web redirect me to the German site where my laptop model is not found. I send a message but no response.

I also tried to install a new copy of windows 7, but it stops because it requires drivers for my computer. I downloaded the drivers from your site, but it seems that .exe files are not recognized.

So... what I should try before you screw up my laptop?

    Thank you.

After reading dozens of post on this subject, I found the solution... as dumb by changing the USB where I have WIN7 on a different USB port. It seems that I was using a port USB3...

    I now have a clean Win7.

In any case, thanks for your help.

  • Install windows 8 on HP Pavilion DM4

    Hello:

There are several variations of the dm4-1200, and the number of product you posted says it's a HP Pavilion dm4-3090se Beats Edition Entertainment Notebook PC.

We confirm which model you actually.

If you are sure that you have a dm4-1200, and it has an Intel processor, try this when you install W8...

Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=23060&keyword=Intel+RAPI...

Copy the files to a flash usb without all the folders drive.

With the flash drive and the installation of W8 media plugged into the machine, boot from the installation of W8 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and I hope, W8 will install.

    OS-WINDOWS7

product name - HP PAVILION dm4-1160us

    Hello

    You have a few options.

    (1) download the driver from the support portal web for your laptop on HP servers and install it.

    (2) use your recovery disk to install the driver from the recovery of the value Manager

    (3) install the driver of Windows using the Recovery Manager. The Recovery Manager a fresh copies of all the original drivers ready for installation.  I think it's simpler and more direct option.

    In Windows:

Start all programs-->--> HP--> Recovery Manager

Scroll through the list and use your cursor to highlight. Click Next and leave the Recovery Manager install for you.

The next time your laptop seems a little slow try a different method. Open the HP Support Assistant and select keep. Select the update option and run irt. That should bring your laptop back up to speed. HP Recovery to return using your laptop on the way it was when you bought is a bit exaggerated. Why use an extreme method when a good method of tweaking your laptop OS has already been provided for your use of HP?

    Hello

I recently purchased a factory refurbished HP DM4 3099se Beats Edition laptop, but it did not come with laptop Sleeve-cover (black microfiber with b bat logo on it).  Anyone know where I might be able to get this point.  I've looked everywhere, not even looked to the generic sleeves of this type on Amazon and ebay, but can't seem to find anything.  I want just a sleeve Microfiber, without zippers, without handles, none with neoprene, so I can drag the laptop in and then place it in a bag I'm an accountant (and use it to wipe the laptop).  If anyone can help me I would be very happy.

    Thank you!

    Hey Megaskywarp,

I have good news! I wasn't sure if this element would still be available, but it is!

The part number for it is 667666-001

I ran a Google search for her but not really found trustworthy third party sellers. You are welcome to search for the part number and see what you can find about it.

It is certainly available through HP parts store, however. Click on the link below and enter the part number in the "search by part number" field and you will be able to order it from there.

  • Problem with the BIOS of the Pavilion dm4-3002sa bought in Belgium

5 months ago I bought a Pavilion dm4-3002sa (English version) in Belgium, where I live (to have a QWERTY, AZERTY keyboard like most laptops sold in Belgium). I discover now that this particular model is not recognized on the Belgian support HP web site - I could only find it on the web pages of HP UK.

A month ago I started having repeated problems (automatic stop & restart every 3-5 minutes), which indicates there is a serious problem with my BIOS. The test of memory fails.

I contacted HP support Belgian and send the laptop for repair (they said that they will replace the current memory).

HOWEVER, I have another question: If the problem is caused by an incompatibility possible download relative to the BIOS here in Belgium, while my HP laptop is clearly a UK version and not recognized as a model sold in Belgium?

If so, this means I can continue to have the same problem even after service.

Registration of the laptop as based in the United Kingdom would be a solution? (i.e. regardless of my address of residence...) So that the updates & downloads are fully compatible with this model?

A big thank you to the one who can help me!

The problem of restart is much more likely to be associated, in view of the results of the test of the memory of the memory. You should have asked to send remembrance to you, rather than send the laptop away. Memory modules can be customer replaced. It is quite easy to do.

The only real difference between having a QWERTY keypad and a QWERTY keyboard is the way the operating system sees the way in which the keyboard as being mapped when you choose the keyboard layout.

Your computer laptop dm4-3002sa is still a laptop HP Pavilion Beats Edition entertainment as well as the USA (United States (version.

  • Pavilion dm4 - 3013cl - recovery deleted partition

    I'm of the Brazil.

On a trip to Hawaii in March 2012, a friend bought a HP Pavilion dm4 - 3013 cl entertainment pc, product number A6X70UA # ABA. Of course, it came in English. Given its difficulties with the use of the equipment, I proposed to install windows 7 in Portuguese.

The system did not accept the update. Then I got the "great idea" to remove the recovery partition. After I created the new partition and formatted. Now, I can not install windows 7 home x 64 premmiun.

At the end of the installation, in the first start, in the direction of the item "finish installation" opens a window titled "Windows Installer" and reported the following error message:

"Windows could not configure windows to run on a hardware on this computer."

When the system has restarted, the 'mouse' was not available and open a window titled "Windows Installer" showing an error message again, this time in Portuguese:

"Windows is unable to complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, run the Setup again. »

When I restart the installation, the problem repeats.

Unfortunately, because it is an imported product, the HP to the Brazil offers no technical support.

It would be good to have help from friends here in the forum.
