Pavilion slimline 450 - a24: hp Pavilion slimline is not upgraded to windows 10

I just got the pc hp pavilion slimline Tuesday. She has windows 8.1. I did all the windows updates yesterday the flag that shows you can upgrade to windows 10 wasn't there. After research, we found that a file called "kb2976978" is the update, you must have windows 10. So we tried to install it and I get the message "this file is not applicable to your pc. So now I don't know how to get windows update 10. The requirements of the upgrade, I have on the pc. Any suggestions please? Thank you, (ps I reserve a copy at a month or there are 10 windows)

I tried the link but got a page cannot be found? However, I saw an article on Forbes online which has a link that will automatically install windows 10 and you don't have to wait for it to do so in the background. However, thanks for your help.

    Hi all

I have recently upgraded to windows 10 and had not had any problems until one evening internet dropped out. After a while I realized the wifi adapter did not work. I tried to update the driver, nothing helps. The unit displays under working properly in Device Manager but does not appear in the network connection settings.

I tried a system restore point that solved the problem but then Windows 10 updates (updated critical around 23 September 15) and wifi no longer works again. I noticed there was recently a couple of new updates of the driver (sp72517), but these have not solved the problem.

I can still connect to the Internet using a LAN cable, but need help need help I can't easily use a LAN due to the location of routers. I've updated the Hp Wizard and I tried troubleshooting etc but still no joy.

The elbow of any help would be appreciated gratefully.

    Hi all

I managed to find a solution to this problem online, don't know how or why it worked, but it solved my problem and I hope that it might help others.

I uninstalled and deleted the files from the wireless driver, then uninstalled Kaperskey and restarted my laptop. Then I went into Device Manager and manually updated the network drivers (think I might have restarted again here) and sucsess hey presto, all that remained to do was to reinstall kaperskey.

Hope this helps someone else with a problem with wifi Realtek Pavilion.

  • HP Pavilion usb does not work with Windows 7

I have HP Pavilion dv9910us. I've updated from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate 32 as soon as he was released.

It worked fine until a couple of weeks. My two side usb drives stop working. When I plug something in them their power led lights, but they do not appear on the computer. I tried to uninstall the hub USB root, but that did not help. Today one of the USB ports on the right side has begun to do the same. Which leaves just a USB port work.

I think to go back to Vista and see if they work, but I don't want to unless there is no other way.

    Someone at - it solutions.

It is also a good way to decide the question.  So you have narrowed down to the bottom of the system board.  In the meantime, you can always pick up a cheap USB hub that would give you more ports.  Or ask a Santa.  Happy holidays.

  • Pavilion M70 monitor and upgrade to Windows XP

I upgraded my desktop computer Pavilion XL775 to Windows XP for me.  The monitor is a 17IN M70, using an NVIDIA Vanta AGP card.  After the upgrade, my monitor does not display a picture.  I have tried to download the new NVIDIA drivers and instructions from HP but no use.  The HP support page, I've referenced: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph02073

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

    Thank you!

    1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz works fine for me now.

When you install the M70 driver (by HP Web site mode), I got a message that said that it was necessary to the HPD04870. CIM file.  It turns out that the installer put it in the C \WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS folder.  After pointing to this file, I was able to reuse the monitor.

  • HP pavilion g6: should I upgrade to windows 10

    Hello

I wanted to know if I should upgrade to windows 10 or not.

I checked my pc with the windows 10 application and he said that your computer meets all the requirements. But I wanted to know whether or not windows 10 is a stable operating system.

When I bought my pc it ran Windows 8 and I have upgraded to windows 8.1. My pc has a few small problems since then.

Most of them slipped, but there is a little. I have not found windows 8.1 as a stable OS, it has flaws and is not fluid.

And if windows 10 is good, then tell me how should I update. I saw there are two types of upgrade. One is to you

move all your files and software for windows a 10 and the other is that you start over completely. So what I should how and

    should I upgrade?

    @AA7,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  At this point I would like to wait a few months for all the bugs to settle with the operating system and compatibility with the software and drivers.

It normally takes a few months for an operating system to take the ist wake when dealing with hardware and software.

Keep an eye on the support page for your laptop.  Then pass the drivers and software for windows 10 becomes listed.

Thanks for the post and have a great day.

You know it's a real shame that HP didn't advise people to do it before we upgraded. Now you admit that your drivers do not work with Windows 10. Bunch of idiots.

  • Pavilion 11 t-000: Windows Version 8.1 not upgrading to Windows 10

I try to upgrade to Windows 10 but Msoft tells me that my version is an edition of Volume License and ineligible; that I would like to get in touch with my TI Adminostrator. I bought my HP laptop and its for personal use is not part of an organization/network or company

    Hello

I got your private message. Please follow the instructions.

I see that you use Windows 8 (8.1) Core edition / OEM - not the commercial stuff, no Volume License.

Please, let me know when you get this message you used Volume licenses (for example, when you run Windows or when you check before?)

Honestly, I really don't know why you got this message... I did some research on the subject, but could not get a concrete answer. Maybe you've already used some licenses of Volumen, or something went wrong? Or the compatibility utility is a bug?

Anyway, a workaround that I could offer you is to use the ISO upgrade methor.

I suggest that you go to the Windows Update method, but just download the whole installation (ISO).

This way, you can either upgrade the existing windows * or * you can perform a clean installation.

    1. download the ISO appropriate:

    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO

You should choose the standard home edition - simply call "Windows 10.

    2. you can burn it to a DVD http://www.7tutorials.com/burning-iso-or-img-disk-images-windows-7

or you can burn it / put it on a USB stick (at least 4 GB of wholesale): http://www.neowin.net/news/guide-how-to-create-windows-10-install-media-using-tools

    3. read these instructions and complete upgrade or clean installation.

    https://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_install/how-to-upgrade-from-previous-versions-of-Windows/31722b30-1da9-42BB-B331-0edc4649bf43

Note!  Full file data backup is recommended before attempting any improvement in the operating system. Although it is unlikely, something may fail during the upgrade. In order to backup your files in a safe is important.

Please, let me know if this solution works for you!

  • HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC: upgrade of windows 7 sp1 Windows 10

My laptop is running Windows 7, SP1. HP programs on this site showed that is true even if the "upgrade to Windows 10 app" does not appear on my screen.

When I go on the site Web of Windows 10, its diagnostic program indicates that I am running Windows 6.1 and also claims that 6.1 is not compatible to update at 10.

Which site is correct, and how upgrading to Windows 10?

    Hello

Whidow 6.1 is actually Windows 7. Microsoft has little means to him give the product a code normally based on the original code as if Windows XP is / was 5.1, Windows 8.1 Windows is Windows 6.3... Please use the following list:

  • HP Pavilion g6: HP Pavilion g6 Will not start after Windows regular updates

This problem actually happened for at least a year now, but it became much more common. Whenever my computer performs an automatic Windows update and rebooting, it does not go back to the desktop. I'm stuck on screen of HP with a spinning wheel.

He can simply sit this way for hours, unless I intervene. I normally hold the start button to turn off and try again, or remove the battery and try to start only on current alternative, but normally, it will take an hour to turn it off and reboot before it finally starts normally. Androgen HP will try to run an auto repair but that never solves anything and sometimes it won't really work repair at all - I get simply stuck on the screen to 'Diagnose your PC' for a long time.

It's frustrating because I know that whenever I run an update of Windows, I am for an hour before you can use my computer. I've seen the question asked on a few other sites but no clear answers - anyone know what is causing this problem and how I can avoid it in the future?

Take a read of the Microsoft documents at the following Internet address.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/troubleshoot-problems-installing-updates#1TC=Windows-8

The first thing you should try is the Windows Update utility.  Download the file from the link and run it. This is for Windows 8.1.

The troubleshooter should help guide you through this.

My question is this aura Windows 7 Ultimateand the amount of RAM can take of this motherboard?

I've seen plenty of RAM following for sale online, but this will be compatiable as seems to be faster RAM?

    PC2 - 6400S

    Hello

Information on Ram max settings for your model, you can find here on the site of Kingston.

You will find compatible memory for this model also.

As you can check it your motherboard supports 2 GB Ram max. The type is PC2-5300 (667 MHz).

It is not sensible to buy Ram PC2-6400 (800 MHz), because it may not work on your model and even if it will work its speed will be reduced to 667 MHz.

Dv6000 models work well in Windows 7, but they they have not received official support / drivers for this HP System.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

Officially, your model does NOT support Windows 10 and there are no drivers for Windows 10

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-TX2000-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/3650975/model/3658347

It's a bit old for Windows 10, it was factory well before Windows 10 came to settle. In fact, Windows 10 has been designed not even when this model was released.

I would recommend that you do not upgrade this model to Windows.

If you plan to stay on the 8.1 Windows, it will be supported until 2023.

If you plan to go back to Vista, it will rely on Microsoft until April 2017.

There is a tiny chance to install Windows 10 by performing a clean install using the ISO method:

    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

    http://www.howtogeek.com/197559/how-to-install-Windows-10-on-your-PC/

After installation (if it fits) she can use a compatible driver for the video card and others. However, I do not recommend this and I would say that you stay with the current OS for this model.
