  Ok. Here is my experience with my new XA Xperia.

  Number #1: Pin code is not accepted

  I I had a few months ago and was very happy with it. Last weekend I went to bed and the battery was about 50% charged when I woke up the battery was completely empty. So I put in the charger and turned on after a while, but now the pin code is not accepted. The phone says only: "incorrect pin code. I have the same code as on my last phone and know 100% that I him have not changed my car during the night. I don't know even how to change. So it seems that either there is a bug for the correct pin code is not accepted or pin changed what it self.

  Question #2: Xperia companion do not work

  SOI a phone change the PIN by him then, it's annoying, but it must be possible to do a reset of some sort.   Now, I am stubborn and finally came with a solution of my self. I uninstalled all the Sony software namely:

  • Engine update Sony Mobile
  • Companion of Xperia

  Then did a registry cleaning with a small software called CCleaner.

  Then I reinstalled Xperia companion and tried to do a factory reset again. This time, it worked.

  So, if someone else has this problem, please try the method described above.

  Support staff of Sony is useless and I have to say that the level of support is terrible. If my trip can be reduced to this:

  Phone does not > software does not > Web site works not > when I finally support is useless.

  Figured it out myself but spend too many hours in the process.

  Hi all

  I recently bought a second hand 115CS Satellite, and it has windows 95 installed. I soon discovered that my computer cannot read drive a: correctly.

  Whenever I try to copy/paste/etc, and on a diskette, the computer begins to read the disc, but before the end of the process I get an error message saying that the drive could not be read.

  I tried to solve this problem by downloading and installing the updates of different file from Microsoft and the Internet from Toshiba sites, but nothing helped. The custom Scandisk nor any system utility which would help me. I even tried to use the new disks but I always get bad sectors a reason any.

  I understand that the inability of the Satellite to read drive a: is a known issue with windows 95, and it has been discussed before. Is there a way to handle the situation outside of what I've tried so far?

  Unfortunately, because I don't have the original disks that come with the laptop, I am unable to do the diagnostic test of Toshiba on my computer to trace problems. I'd highly appreciate if you tell me where a companion of Toshiba Satellite 110CS disk is available for download online.

  I really need advice in the case that we care and will be very grateful for your help in regards to the reader of error messages and the accompanying disk.

  It is a very old unit, and I can't tell you anything about the features but you must also known that there may be a mechanical problem and this player may also be defective. Who knows!

  I received a message today tellin gme that I can finally update my Z1 (C6903) to 5.1.1 using PC Companion. I'm trying to update for 6 hours and I still got the error 13.

  I tried to uninstall and reinstall PC companion several times and still achieve the same result. I use Windows 10 Pro, original USB cable. Also, I tried to use the PC companion in compatibility mode (windows 7 and XP SP3) and the same result.

  Thank you all for raising it, there was a problem found with regard to this function on Windows 10, there is a patch should be rolled out for PC Companion on the 24/09/2015, which should solve this problem, but if you continue to have problems after this please let me know here.   Make sure that the receiver created with assigned port 1521 is saved with this port, first. then using NETMGR check association of database in the listener settings. After that, stop and restart the receiver and restart the console EM via the command prompt. It works otherewise well recreate the EM repository with this command.

• The search returns an unexpected error

  I just did a fresh install of Windows XP Pro/sp3.

  The research and the companion does not work.  It returns an error message which: unexpected error: action could be completed.

  Disabled the indexing service (using the companion anyway).  Same result.

  I first tried this:
  Start > run > cmd [Enter] [command prompt opens]
  regsvr32 jscript.dll [Enter]
  Regsvr32 %Windir%\srchasst\srchui.dll [Enter]

  I got a positive result on each attempt.

  But the search is the same.  No error message just looking.

  Then I tried the Windows\inf folder for the srchasst.inf file, right click and choose Install.  He asks me the SP3 CD, but when I insert that, he won't find the file msgr3en.dll on disk.  So he did not finish.

  No idea how to get the search works again.

  Do not run the scans at the same time.  They can take some time, so start an and then go for a non computer chore for awhile.

  If the scans does not solve the problem (and they can't, because the actual dll file has already been processed), then download and run Autoruns.  Click on the "Connection" tab and look in the column 'Image path' for the dll named in your error message.  If it is not displayed in the connection tab, click the "all" tab and use the file > search tool.  A characteristic of the search of Autoruns tool is that you must move the selection under the element line "found" before you "Find Next."

  Once you find the line with the file in question, either "delete" or (if you want to be safer) uncheck the box.  The latter prevents the line running, but you can reactivate it later by removing the check mark.

  I was fortunately charge/sync my Xperia Z3 (D6603) with my computers desktop and laptop Windows 10, using Xperia companion and Media Go through the cable USB of Sony for the best part of two years. My Z3 can be recharged using the ankle of the socket and the USB cable.

  I continue to be able to do the above with my laptop Windows 10. However, my desktop Windows 10 pc suddenly shows missing or errors of driver corrupted in Device Manager when I connect my Z3 via cable USB Sony - and any other USB cable I've tried. I can't load or synchronize my Z3 with the USB cable provided or any other cable via my desktop Wondows 10 pc.

  Here is a list of the efforts I made to fix this desktop pc driver:

  1. downloaded Xperia Z3 drivers of developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers and tried to install these using the procedure "Add legacy hardware" in Device Manager. The result is as follows:

  Entry 'sa0111 Sony - Sony sa0111 ADB Interface Driver' Device Manager with yellow exclamation point triangle

  With Xperia Z3 attached via USB and powerful device - Action - Scan for changes on the hardware Manager, there is a subsequent Device Manager entry ' other devices - unknown device.

  2. restart Windows 10 desktop pc with Xperia Z3 still connected via USB results in same as Device Manager entries above.

  3. hardware error codes received Windows are:

  Code 19 - Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration (in the registry) information are incomplete

  Code 18 - reinstall the drivers for this device

  Code 28 - the drivers for this device are not installed. A section of installation of service in this INF is invalid.

  From what I've been able to grasp, my problem is certainly desktop on pc (computer pc laptop continues to work like in a dream) and I'm now ideas for moving forward with.
