PC installed disks, but does not recognize Droid.

My Droid works well offline. Today, for the first time, I tried to connect it to my PC via a USB cable. The computer recognizes the connection initial and installed new drivers. The Device Manager shows Motorola A855 USB drive as a hard drive, where he labeled H. The problem is that I can't drive hard H on Windows Explorer, which I use to transfer files or in my connections. I have a Vaio PC with Windows 7 64 bit.

I would like suggestions.

Thank you

Ed

Using Windows XP, SP3 with latest updates

    Hello

    1. The hard drive is recognized in another computer?

If this isn't the case, then the problem could be the hard drive itself. If he is found, then the problem is in your computer. In this case, run the diskpart.exe utility.

Use the list partition command and see if the partition is detected. If so, then I suggest you to format the drive in diskpart.

However, take a return of all data on the hard drive before the format by plugging it into another computer. Help with backup data, see

    Backup: what, how, where

    http://www.Microsoft.com/protect/data/backup/about.aspx

To use the Diskpart.exe utility, follow these steps:

    1. type diskpartand press ENTER to open the diskpart tool.

    2. type list diskand press ENTER. A list of available hard disks.

    3. type select disk =[n]

n s Specifies the number of disc the disc to receive the focus.

    4. type list partition

This command displays the partitions listed in the table to partition on the current drive.
    5. type select partition =[d]

This command selects the specified partition and gives it the focus.

d s Specifies the drive letter or mount point path of the partition to receive the focus.

    6. type format drive: / FS: NTFS/Quick

For more information about commands, see

A Description of the Diskpart command-line utility

Now you should be able to see the slave drive in Solution Explorer.

  • Install Windows 8 does not recognize the system drive

I built a new machine (chart below). Since this is a new machine and not an upgrade, I bought Win 8 Pro 64 bit OEM to do a clean install. The SSD is my system disk that Windows 8 will be installed. Four data drives are mirrored, two for the other two. Construction went perfectly. The BIOS recognizes all six disks: 1 SSD, 4 HDD, 1 DVD.

Insert and boot the disk of Windows 8. Accept the EULA, enter the product key. Arriving at the page "Where do you want to install Windows?", only four hard disks are listed. The SSD (installation to go) is not found by Win 8. ??? I tried to change ports SATA, cables, power supply - no difference. For each new change of hardware, the BIOS still sees everything. This isn't a hardware problem.

The question remains: why the installation of Windows 8 does not recognize the SSD drive. All five disks are on AHCI. I'm not in RAID.

I spoke with crucial technical support of all (manufacturer of the SSD). They were also surprised that the drive does not appear in the list.

Does anyone have a solution? I spent all the money on hardware, as well as the new version of Windows and I cannot install it.

This is the real kick in the teeth: Microsoft won't support me. The OEM of Windows 8 version is the same as manufacturers, such as Dell or HP. Support told me I had the support of the manufacturer. HA! I am the manufacturer. Either that or upgrade from an earlier version of Windows. This means that any that a new construction machine will get ZERO assumption of Microsoft. All just great.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

  • getting an error of cartridge, cartridge is there but does not recognize

the computer does not print cartridge error, it does not recognize the black cartridge. I removed and installed several times, is based on my printer?

Contact the manufacturer of your printer and see if there are others who have had the same problem (there may be, there seems to be a common complaint).

If it is a cartridge refill, rebuilt or third party, it can never work with your printer.

Give more information, such as the make and model of the printer. is extremely useful. Without specific information, you will get very general assistance.

  • DVD Sony player appears installed but does not recognize any CD or DVD

I just bought a Sony Optiarc AD7260 DVD RW drive and installed in my system. I am running Win XP Pro sp3. My Bios says the drive is recognized by the latter and in the Device Manager in Windows, the drive shows up and says that "this device works properly." However, any disk I put in the drive (self burned cd / self burned dvd / retail music cd / dvd retail game / virgins DVD) never presents itself as being accessible. When the drawer goes in, I get the icon of the cd spinning for about 15-30 seconds, but then it goes back to the usual pointer. If I try to access the drive in Windows Explorer or any other program, it does not appear. I tried to use ImgBurn to get media info I had placed in the drive (blanks & with data) but it still says "incompatible medium installed" in the drive. The Optiarc is my 4th Sata device, 3 others are hard drives. The system is a dc7100 HP Compaq with 3 GB of ram. Any suggestions?

    Hello.

Do you have the old disk, or access to another drive, try in the computer?  If these work then you will have a faulty drive.  It is possible to have a defective out of the box.  Also try a different SATA cable.  These can sometimes be problematic.

I am eager to the system recovery on my HP computer I have discs of recovery system 1 and 2 and the extra recovery disk. but when I put in the drive of the installation wizard is not coming and I don't know how to run, I made the recovery for anw had the windows installed so my computer was as good as new once again, but this time it does not work I need help please! Thanks in advance

Looks like you are trying to run the Windows recovery. You don't want to do. BTW, please make sure that you have backed up your data on external media because after a destructive restore full factory all of your own files will be gone.

So let's try and start the computer from the recovery discs, you did. Place 1 disc in your drive and restart the computer. When you start your computer, you will see a message that says something like "Press Esc for Boot Menu". Press this function key. Then use your key to select your CD/DVD drive, press ENTER, and the HP system recovery process will begin. Use the advanced option to make the complete factory restore. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times and we looked on the forums and support but do not know who to turn to next. Thank you

    Hi Ryano,

The Lightroom inside the Application Support folder could have hurt Lightroom permissions preventing to write about it, which can cause this error.

    • Navigate to the following folder: /Users/ [user name] / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom.
    • Highlight the Lightroom folder and choose file > get information.
    • Under sharing & authorization, make sure you have privileges to read & write. Otherwise, click on the padlock icon at the bottom right, enter your password when prompted, then click the only entrance to reading and select read & write.

  • Reads music CDs, but does not recognize blank CD - r

I have long used Nero or Roxio to burn some CD - Rs without problem. I recently tried to install Exact Audio Copy (EAC), which has worked flawlessly for years on my old computer, but all attempts to plant resulted in the Blue Screen Of Death, so I uninstalled it. I can still play music CDs, but none of the burning (Nero, Roxio, Windows Media Center) programs recognize blank CD - r (and Yes, I always use the same type and brand of CD - R). I also tried the Microsoft Fix It solution center, who acknowledged the problem but no solution offered. Any suggestions?

    Hello

    1. is this Microsoft fix it tool display error message associated with CD/DVD not getting not recognized?

You can follow the steps below and check if that helps you solve the problem.

You can temporarily try to remove or uninstall the writing software CD or DVD of third party such as Nero or Roxio installed on the computer and check if you are able to access the CD / DVD. If it works fine, you may need to contact the manufacturer of the software to check if you need to make changes to write to DVD.

If you have Norton Installed on the computer, you can try disabling the software Norton temporarily to see if it solves the problem. Subsequently reactivate after verification.

If the previous step fails, then check the condition of the disc on the computer using Manager devices and post back with the details.

Also check the updated drivers available for the DVD player by visiting the website of the automaker.

    Open the Device Manager

  • Inateck BR1001 installed OK but does not appear as a playback device

    Hello

I am using an Inateck BR1001 bluetooth streamer in Windows 8 to listen to music from Windows Media Player to my external speakers. Now the device Inateck disappeared from the "playback devices" list although it is always visible, paired and connected via the Bluetooth settings.

It does seem to be an obvious way to restore as a playback device. I tried to uninstall as a BT device and rediscover & match but it is still not listed as a playback device.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I appreciate the efforts that you have taken to solve this problem yourself. It could have happened due to corruption the Audio drivers.

    1. Did you change in your system prior to this problem?
    2. Do you have an error code or error message during the installation of the Bluetooth device?

Follow the methods and check them off below if it helps:

Method 1: Run hardware and devices troubleshooter.

    • Right-click on the present "speaker" icon on the lower right corner of the system tray.
    • Select the option reading devices.
    • Now, click the read tab.
    • Right-click on the device and make sure that the devices turned off Show is checked.

If the problem persists, try Method 2.

Method 2: Set Bluetooth device as a value by default after you activate the disabled device.

I recommend to update the audio drivers and then check if it helps.

Update your sound driver in Device Manager:

    a. type in Control Panel Search box , and then click Control Panel

    b. click on system and Maintenance

    c. under Device Manager, click on hardware and devices

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    d. expand sound, video and game controllers

    e. right click on your Audio Controller, and then click Properties

    f. Select the driver tab

    g. click the Update driver button.

    h. select automatically search for an updated driver.

Windows will now look for an update for your Audio drivers locally and on the internet and then will guide you through the process of installing the driver.

You can check the link for more information below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/all-drivers

If the problem persists, try Method 3.

Method 3: run the audio Troubleshooter.

You might be able to solve certain problems by running a convenience store will automatically fix some common problems with audio.

Follow the steps to run the Troubleshooter:

    a. press the keys Windows + C on your keyboard to show the charms bar.

    b. type Troubleshooting , click Troubleshooting under settings.

    c. now, select Search and solve problems.

    d. Select troubleshoot Audio playback.

Install the latest device drivers Bluetooth device/hardware manufacturer website.

Try the above steps and let us know if it helps. For assistance feel free to post your questions in the Microsoft forums. We will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.
