PC user cannot publish the FLA, but Mac user can?

A developer using a Mac sent us a FLA file with its programming (.as) class files. When we try to compile a SWF using the FLA file, we get actionscript errors. However, if we take the same file directory have a Mac user load this same FLA and export it, they do not have the same problem and the SWF export correctly.

Our machine will still export a SWF file, but it does not work properly (as it generates errors).

No idea why this is happening between Mac and PC users?

I found the answer, after uninstalling and reinstalling Flash and discover who has not worked. :)

It turns out that it was in the object files Actionscript Flash generates during compilation. These are stored with the extension .aso. The ASO files are used for purposes of caching in order to expedite the export process.

According to the documentation, Flash detects changes to the .as files and then proceeds to update the ASO files accordingly. That is not apparently happened in this case, as she had apparently continued to do refers to a wrong file of ASO.

Once I selected CONTROL | DELETE ASO FILES AND TEST MOVIE, the SWF compiled without error.

I hope this helps someone else out there! Here is some additional information on the ASO files:
