PC2-5300 use T410?

I have a memory PC2-5300 for laptop Lenovo left by a machine before and I wonder if I can use in my T410.  I have a place available.

Thank you!

N ° it does not and will not work. You need to DDR3, not DDR2. In addition, the notch is in a different place.

ISIT possible to use 1 GB SODIMM DDR2 667 MHz PC2-5300?

    Hello

No, it is not possible to use the modules of PC2-5300.
You must use DDR2 533 MHz PC2-4200 memory sticks.

.. and Yes, you can use the module of memory 1 GB memory bank!

  • Satellite L30 and 2x1GB PC2 - 5300 DDR2 667 compatibility

I've seen a few posts here on the incompatibility of the L30 and have 2x1GB PC2 - 5300 DDR2 667 modules installed. Apart from the demotion to 2x1GB PC2-4200 modules, nobody put in point a reason why this problem occurs.

My Satellite L30-00100E comes preinstalled with 2x256MB DDR2 533 PC2-4200. My current BIOS is v2.10 latest (available on the website).

I have a couple of spare 1 GB 667 modules of work (which has been tested as working). I put them in my L30 and tried a few tests using MemTest86. Essentially, these tests pass:

1x1GB (any module in any accommodation)
1x1GB + 1x256MB (any module in any accommodation)

What does work is 2 x 1 GB! It will fail on the random test (test #7), and it always fails on what appears to be a random address memory under the address range of 1024 MB. I have yet to see a mistake over 1024 MB and this happens no matter what order the modules are installed in the slots. What I see is something like this:

Address: 942.6 (this changes - but still less than 1 024 MB)
    Writing: 0x2cd48206 (this change)
Read: 0x2cd48286 (this change - but the 2nd to the last value was released by 0x80)
    Diff: 0 x 00000080 (it's always the same)

The Diff value is always the same and makes me think that it is a little be overthrown so that it should not be.

Memory 667 MHz is now able to run at 533 MHz, the memory is good, and some combinations work 667, so I suspect that it is a BIOS problem. Maybe it's just get confused by the memory timings?

    What can I/we/Toshiba?

BTW - I put t really want to buy 533 MHz RAM, especially now that 667 is cheaper. So, for now, I'm stuck at 1x1GB + 1x256MB RAM... ie a 667 with a 533 mix!

    Hello

This is not the problem of BIOS!
I also read several discussions on the problem of memory upgrade on L30 and all people have the same problem; the Crucial modules are not compatible or do not work!

I have a L30 at home and I could upgrade the L30 with a 1 024 MB module. It was one of Kingston.

As you say of the L30 is FSB 533 MHz it is therefore absurd to use the 667 MHz module. If the 667 Mhz modules are better markets than 533 Mhz modules, then I suppose that the quality of these modules is not the best.

In general, the quality and performance of the modules without name is bad and I do not recommend the use of these modules for different reasons.

Use the recommended Toshiba modules and good luck!

  • PC2-5300 667 Mhz RAM for Qosmio F30-141?

Can I use a PC2-5300 Ram on my Qosmio F30?
I want to upgrade my ram and I prefer PC2-5300 instead of PC2-4200.
On the toshiba homepage I didn't understand, but in corsair.com, they have a compatible ram research research for your pc or laptop and he said I can use ram PC2-5300.

So maybe someone here can enlighten me please.

    Hi Reaver,

I wonder if your machine is really working with a front end bus 667 Mhz. I mean okay: the RAM but really works with this higher FSB?

Need an answer and some evidence on this issue. :)

    Satellite A60 does support Kingston 2 Gb 200pin Sodimm DDR2 PC2-5300 667 Mhz

    Thank you.

    Hello

Satellite A60 supports PC2700 DDR SODIMM 200 pin like on this page says:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=8333&ft=m&St=3

Only a single memory is expandable! So, you can use only one slot for an upgrade!
You can use max 1024MB module and memory can be improved for max 1.25 or 1.5 GB. (according to the amount of memory the memory internal)

The speed of the module can be different! I m not 100% sure, but I guess that the laptop supports a 533 MHz FSB (front side bus) and therefore, you can use the modules of PC2700 memory with 533 MHz speed.

    Best regards

  • The series Qosmio G20 does support PC2-5300?

    Hello all,.

For some time now, I've thought about the possibility of an upgrade of RAM for my Qosmio G20 - 126 and all looking for a more economical way than that which is available via the Toshiba site (~ £100 for a 1 GB RAM Module!) I met articles suggesting that the Qosmio G20-126 is compatible with RAM PC2-5300 (333 MHz). To my knowledge the Qosmio G20-126 comes with 2x512MB PC2-4200 (266 MHz) modules installed, in addition to the direct available from Toshiba RAM upgrades are also PC2-4200. So my question for you, former scholars of the Toshiba support forum is simple; my laptop is REALLY compatible with PC2-5300? and if so there will be problems worthy of consideration (i.e. insufficient power supply etc...)?

Also, I wonder if there are intrinsic advantages regarding the marked Toshiba RAM upgrades available via the site of Toshiba UK. I found the modules of RAM of the similar (at least as far as I can see) specifications for a third of the price. It would be also interesting to note that the model of module of RAM available here on Toshibas website is (according to Google products alias Froogle) same price when buying from third party suppliers (so it's not simply a question of margins exorbitant of Toshiba, unless of course the sellers are also defined on by the aforementioned increases.)

    Sincere greetings,
    Lee Hyde.

    Hello

    The Qosmio G20-126 supports a FSB 533 and, therefore, the PC2-4200 DDR2 266 MHz modules are! (DDR2 266 Mhz-> 533 MHz)
It is absurd to use the RAM PC2-5300 DDR2 333 MHz due to the FSB. You won't see improvements in speed or performance.

I wonder why you are surprised that Toshiba recommends the use of own products (memory sticks). I think that each manufacture recommend clean products!
In addition, it is important to mention that brand memory modules are much faster and the performance is much better than the performance and quality of the nameless memory module.

Of course, you can use all modules that supports hardware specifications, but the don t wonder about laptop performance and memory problems after the use of modules without a name!

I use the modules of Kingston and I also recommend using these modules, because quality is really nice

  • Is - 2 GB module or a work of memory PC2-5300 / 667 mhz for Latitude D610?

Shows spec Dell Latitude D610 will have 1 GB of memory by Bank, total, up to 2 GB and also uses memory PC2-4200 / 533 mhz.

What I was wondering if this can be exceeded and D610 would always be OK:

    • If the memory stick 2 GB would work by Bank, up to 4GB total, assuming that the use of memory PC2-4200.
    • Or, if memory PC2-5300 / 667 mhz would work, assuming that using memory of 1 GB.

I have above that the technical running in my office and usually faster memory memory can be used, just that it runs at a slower speed.

Has anyone put in memory in D610 which is faster or more dense than does the spec? Believe it or not, part of the problem is that modern memory is denser and faster, and it is cheaper just get a faster or more dense memory.

  • HP mini 110-3100 upgrade of ram: DDR2 PC2-6400 or DDR2 PC2-5300

I just want to know which is best for my netbook, and especially what is the difference between the TWO in terms of performance or right ' after' installation. Thank you.

    Hello:

PC2-6400 memory is faster than PC2-5300 FSB speed.

Where possible, PC2-6400 memory running at 800 MHz and PC2-5300 runs at 667 MHz.

It is a moot point with regard to your laptop, as the processor has a speed of 667 MHz front bus.

This means the faster, memory back communicates with the processor at 667 MHz.

So you want to install at least the PC2-5300 memory, but it of OK to install memory PC2-6400, being understood as the PC2-6400 memory, since it is backward compatible, will be automatically "downclock" at the speed of the FSB of the processor (667 Mhz).

Accordingly, there is no performance difference between the two speeds of memory in your particular computer.

  • I installed new memory will not successfully identify an additional memory of 1 GB (DDR2 PC2 5300 667) in my IBM Lenovo Thinkcentre desktwith Windows XP SP 3

I installed 1 stick of memory, 1 GB of DDR2 PC2 5300 667 mhz, in the second slot of memory the computer of my IBM think Center Desktop.  On booting, the computer does not recognize the 1 extra GB of RAM.  What is the problem?

Have you checked that your computer supports only support a lot of RAM? If it is not, it does not recognize anything on its maximum design.

Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit? The 32-bit version cannot access a little more than 3 GB of RAM.

  • DDR2 PC2-4200 or PC2 - 5300 DDR2

Hi, I have a DV2045ea (Yes a bit old, I know and I intend to improve the 2 x 512 to 2 x 1 GB Rams.) The intalled ones are 4200, but my question is this laptop takes supported 5300 s because I have a few probs to find 4200 s? Thank you.

It will downclock if you install DDR2-667 (PC2-5300) memory and will work fine. But the system speed is 533 mhz (PC2-4200) and it does not work faster. My advice is to buy Kingston or Crucial because they ensure compatibility if you buy the module exactly specced for your laptop.

Here is the crucial page and you can't really go wrong with 2 x 1 GB for $30

  • PC2-5300 memory will work in my Early 2008 Mac Pro?

I picked up an Early 2008 Mac Pro to replace my machine from 2006 and I was wondering if I could use my 16 GB of memory in the new machine?

Near as I can tell, the only difference from PC2-6400 is speed.

    Thank you

According to MacTracker database all the Early 2008 Mac Pro using PC2-6400, and you cannot use slower RAM the RAM in the computer is designed to use. Sometimes faster RAM spec can clock on an old computer but the RAM slower than the technique almost never works.

rather than ask for lenovo or crucial, why not ask of intel chips that manufacturers the inputs/outputs of the memory controller.

    http://www.Intel.com/design/chipsets/embedded/prodbrf/319505.PDF

It clearly says DDR2 667/800.  Don't be confused that she also mentioned ddr3 support, lenovo only installed on your motherboard ddr2 Sockets, but the GM45 chip can support both.

  • Anyone using DDR2 - 800 MHz PC2 - 6400 RAM on a Dimension E520?

    I have a 8-y-o Dimension E520 with a CPU Q6600 and 4 GB of RAM PC2-5300 DDR2 - 667 MHz.

Max RAM is 8 GB so I did research what type of RAM would maximize the expected gain in speed.

According to this articleand this one as this thread of Dell, the E520 can accept RAM PC2-6400 DDR2 - 800 MHz.

In addition, in accordance with this sheet of Intel chipset 965 on the motherboard will have DDR2-800 MHz RAM.

I have noticed however that a sweep Crucial suggested DDR2-667 PC2-5300, like upgrading RAM later.

By no means discouraged, I advanced and bought 4 sticks of 2 GB of RAM DDR2-800 PC2-6400 Non ECC Unbuffered of 240 pins.

Then, installed the new RAM and started in the BIOS. Of course, the 8 GB of RAM is recognized.

Then started to Ubuntu. However, the initialization has failed before he arrived at the office.

Then started to Windows 7 (on the same machine, multiboot). Yet once again, began to start Desktop but bluescreened before that he (0 x 00000019 which seems to refer to the memory problem)

Reinstall all the RAM sticks and tried again with the same result.

Replaced the 4 GB of RAM has low gear and everything was fine.

So, is the RAM purchased dubious quality or not my E520 simply not accept RAM DDR2 - 800 MHz?

In the interest of anyone else might have the same problem or similar, I put the 4 sticks of RAM to the reseller and received four sticks of replacements of the same specification.

And they work perfectly in my Dimension E520.

Thus, in response to my original question, the absence of start-up stems from a faulty RAM.

    Hello

The laptop supports Intel® 945 GM chipset.
This chipset supporting 533 MHz max.
So if you plug in modules of memory 667 MHz, the system would still works at 533 MHz.
The modules are DDR2 so I put t see any reasons why the dual channel does not work in your case.

    > On the HARD disk, what is the maximum capacity of the HARD drive that I cannot in stall in the same model because I have 1 TB, so it will work?

Laptop supports the SATA interface. The SATA controller has no limitation to the size of the HARD drive, so, theoretically, you should be able to use this large HDD but to be honest; I've never used this large HDD. The largest that I used in by cell phone was 500 GB and it was big enough.
However, you will need to test b e100% sure.

    Welcome them

  • Can I use a module of RAM 2 GB in Satellite M105-S1021

My TECRA stopped with the BSoD (on another thread) and I had to leave my old Satellite M105 - S1021 and try and get it going again.

First problem was running PRO XP without service pack and it was a * LEGAL * XP home upgrade - tries to install the SP, I received the product key was not valid message - cannot find the CD of XP Pro I used I called MS Support (sounded like in India) and vain - I expected to be provided with a valid key BUT NO! Why MS play the stupid guys like that on a software product is stupid IMHO and brief overview just puts a bad taste in the mouth and make me want to go to UBUNTU LINUX.

So I had to search in a room full of hardware and PC (sad hoarder I have still a few BACK/WIN 95/98 machines) until I found a CD of XP PRO with a product key if I had XP PRO installed on this Satellite laptop and installed the latest SP

BUT then I discovered that this laptop as well as it having previously PRO XP without a service Pack installed, there only 448 MB of RAM installed.

Looking at the memory Crucial site they recommend an upgrade to 2 GB BUT it's 1 GB x 2. Opening the door of memory I see that I don't have that one not slot the two connectors.
An upgrade to 2GB created using two modules of 1 GB Mem is therefore not possible.

    So my Question is:
Can I upgrade to 2 GB using a slot OR slots on this L/T only able to take modules 1 GB Mem - I guess as I can / could get a module DDR2 PC2 - 5300 Mem.

OR only can I put in a single module of 1 GB Mem.

Can you please first tell us we are discussing here on laptop Tecra or your old Satellite M105 - S1021?

For the Satellite M105-S1021 I found follow the news:

    Memory5

-256MB (min) / 2048MB (max), 512 MB of memory accessible service more accessible by the user memory available slot for 256 MB, 512 MB or 1024 MB DDR2 PC4200 533 MHz SDRAM.
