Pdf helper Firefox extension?

I am looking for a helper application open a PDF as in Chrome or Safari, so I don't have to download them to see.

Hello

You can try this module: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pdfjs/
Please go through ratings, comments, help and FAQS.

You can also search the pdf in the search box @ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ or via Firefox Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons, the search box at the top right would result in a wide variety of choices.

It is for information purposes. I installed Acrobat plug today 10.1.3 and I get a blank tab while trying to open a PDF in Firefox 11.0. This plug in works in Safari. I've disabled the plug into Firefox and installed the extension form PDF viewer 0.2.537 Mozilla and open documents. I just wanted to tell you someone1.3

If you want to use Adobe Acrobat, you can simply change the preference that has messed up:

Go to Firefox > Preferences > Applications and search for "PDF file".

Beside that, select use Adobe Acrobat (or use the preview) rather than Adobe Acrobat NPAPI 10.1.3

Adobe NPAPI plug-in does not work on Firefox 64-bit... There's probably a bug where the Adobe Reader update puts this preference.

  • the PC is restarted, all firefox extensions are removed! # aargh

Since upgrading to Windows 10... Every time I restart my PC, I lose all of my firefox extensions, plug-ins are OK just the extensions are lost...

I'm going back to IE11 and permanently remove firefox... < < you have not all such extensions > > is a joke?

It's frustrating. Some of the programs which run at Windows Startup 'cleaning' can change the settings of your browser. Can you make sure that they do not affect the settings of Firefox files?

The next time that happens, could you check if there is a problem of a broken modules page or if extensions were actually removed? One of the reasons for the empty page add-on to have a list of extensions would be a corruption of database extensions Firefox. You can force Firefox to rebuild the files as follows:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename these files you will find:

    • compatibility.ini to something like compatibility - old.ini
    • Extensions.ini to something like extensions - old.ini
    • Extensions.JSON to something like extensions - old.json
    • Extensions.SQLite to something like extensions - old.sqlite (may not exist depending on how long you have used this settings folder)

When you start Firefox back up again, he should study your profile folder and other files to rebuild the list. He will probably ask to approve you some of the extensions. Once things settle down, could you check back the page modules.

Reappear extensions - or are they really gone?

Also, you can start your profile folder Firefox containing your backup settings. This article has tips on it: back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

  • iCloud Bookmarks Sync & Firefox Extension

So I try to synchronize my PC (Firefox browser) to iCloud. I have everything works except synchronization of bookmarks. On the Panel from iCloud, I check Firefox like browser I want to synchronize bookmarks with and he told me that I have * MUST * install an extension to work. I click on the download button and it takes me to the page of the Extension of Mozilla... except she starts on a 404 error (not found). All the links that I found which refers to this post for links to the same 404' ed page and seems not be anywhere I can download it manually either.

Any help here? Perhaps someone with the extension already downloaded and upload it somewhere else?

I ran into the same thing today (July 20, 2016). I was tired of using IE, and so had added Firefox to my browsing pleasure, but when I went to sync my favorite iCloud I received also the page "module not found".

I think that Mozilla "blacklisted" the Firefox Extension on May 17, 2016.

Here are some links, but no real answers on where to go to get the Extension because you can not get it directly from the Mozilla community currently:

  • Why did I surf canyon when it does not appear in my firefox extensions or windows programs

I have extension surf canyon. I do not install. It's not in my firefox extensions or in my windows programs. It interferes with my navigation and slows down my pc. How can I get rid of him?

    See this: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/surf-canyon-removal/

"Surf Canyon got on your computer after you install a freeware software (record video/streaming, download managers or PDF creators) who had delivered in their installation this browser hijacker. This browser hijacker is also included in the Installer Custom on many download sites (examples: CNET, Brothersoft or Softonic), so if you have downloaded software from these sites, the chances are that Fast Search by Surf Canyon has been installed during the software installation process. »

  • The new Amazon firefox extension prevents the redirection.

Of course, this happened a couple of days. My firefox, which is always updated, suddenly stopped displaying many Web sites. The problem was how a page looks completely WHITE. After a bit of investigation, including a few cycles to uninstall/reinstall, I realized that all the pages of the problems were trying to perform a redirect using a meta refresh tag. The info on the site of support (here) says this was related to the configuration of the browser, but I got the tag configuration properly set to false (the default value of value, which * allows * redirection). I actually tried to adjust for real and, curiously, when I did I got then the message from browser saying that the redirect was blocked, and when I clicked "allow" it went thru! To make a long story a little shorter, the problem has proved to be the EXTENSION of FIREFOX AMAZON OFFICIAL - who has been updated on 10 December. When I removed this extension and restarted my firefox, everything started working properly again. I notified Amazon of the problem, but I thought that it would be important to post this notice here, as well, because I imagine that other users probably have the same problem.

If you encounter this problem (and your "blockautorefresh" configuration setting is correctly set to false), click on the Tools menu (right bars, upper horizontal) and select "Add-ons." On this screen, the tab 'Extensions'. If it shows the 'official Amazon firefox extension' you need to remove this. It told me to restart the browser at this time here, but I did, just to be sure. Which corrects the problem.

For the record, I am running Windows 7, 64-bit with service pack 1 operating system. And my firefox is up-to-date with version 42.0.

The rest of my comment is not correctly displayed for a reason, so this is where, without the newline that clearly has a problem: If you encounter this problem (and your "blockautorefresh" configuration setting is correctly set to false), click on the Tools menu (right bars, upper horizontal) and select "Add-ons." On this screen, the tab 'Extensions'.

Firefox extension: 'TrueSuite 5.2.500.16' stopped working after the last update of firefox (30.0), although subject: said plugin activated.

I tried to reset firefox and search for similar problems, unfortunately found nothing.

It is also weird empty space before the address in the address bar

other extensions and addons seems to work very well.

Firefox 30 spent some less commonly used "Always turned on" plugins "asking to activate. To check and change this to TrueSuite, you can use the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Then on the right, check the setting on the right side of TrueSuite.

    Any difference?

Note to other readers: the original poster had to leave Firefox and start it again until it is actually entered into force.

If I open a PDF file from a Web site link in Internet Explorer, the PDF file opens and I see the path of the URL where I can copy and send to others. The same link to open in Firefox does not display the path of the URL. I get the file, change the menu but no URL.

  • When I try to open a linked pdf file, Firefox asks me where I want to save it!

Firefox has never used to do this. It does with our intranet and other external sites. I don't want to save the pdf file. It's very exasperating, and if it is not resolved, I will change to another default browser.

A recent Firefox update to v 23 also causes our site Intranet https must be blocked. You must select allow. Whenever we go to a different page the same thing happens. It is hopeless and totally inapplicable. How to return to v-22?

In order to change the default reader for PDF files (allow Firefox open the PDF file instead of save locally), follow these steps:

    1. Go to Tools > Options (or Firefox > Options).

I have a lot of unknown files in the firefox extensions folder (profiles / < name > / extensions)
    [IMG] http://I54.Tinypic.com/humv0p.jpg Line
These are useful... I recently did a data recovery on my drive hard if its possible that these records were elsewhere and have been placed here after the recovery (although I don't remember their being anywhere in my files before)...
It would be safe to delete without my addons or extension... I hope that this is not a bug that tracks me or something...
    Thank you

None of these records belong to any folder of Firefox, it's all the stuff from Microsoft.

With regard to the use of Firefox is concerned, that I see no reason not to delete these files.
