PERC 6 / i with broken array

I have a perc 6 / i, which had a Player 6 raid 5 array that has been extended to 7 discs. Another application restarted the system, and it hung to the raid BIOS (could not enter in the config, would stop after printing FW version). After trying all combinations of things so that he can begin, eventually pull the battery to clear the memory and now it is back online.

Anyone able to help out here? I don't have any hope for a cure? I've been reading about "retagging" but am wary to try as it was in the middle of expansion. You are not sure if saying it to do a 7 disc matrix would be smart?

I don't think that you will be able to recover the data without having to contact a data recovery company. There are two problems that will restore normal, difficult, if not impossible. The first is that he was in the middle of the reconstruction of the table. If a reconstruction is interrupted then must be restarted from the beginning. Take screenshots, or information about the details of the table and then clear the foreign configuration. He will wipe away the headers of the readers. Recreate the 7 disc RAID 5 with the same size of band segment and do not forget to DO NOT initialize the array. Then try to start and access the data. If the data is present then I suggest saving it as soon as POSSIBLE. Don't overwrite your previous backup that data may not be complete.

If you are able to recover the matrix then I highly recommend that you do not continue to use it in the current state. You should backup everything, delete the table, create a table (as a Player 7 RAID 0), unlike initialize the array, delete again, create your desired and then reinstall/restore. If you come to delete and re-create the same table again, then you might just be relabelling. You could always keep corrupt table information if you do this.

    It uses a table hint and individual controls that are moved on top of the table and populated as needed.  This approach might work for you?  You would need a two-column table and only control ring, which you would fill properly whenever the currently active cell changes.

    Since installing iOS 9.3 iBooks became useless.

    You can triple press touch home to help, but there is an easier way. Settings > general > accessibility > Assistive Touch > customize the top level Menu > click on an icon you don't often use (or add a new). A list is displayed, and you can assign a new icon, including the triple-click. -AJ

    I could get the computer provided the factory. Fortunately I had an about four inches of screen on the right side of the built-in screen. I could open the HP Recovery Manager, and then drag the screen where I was able to make the appropriate selections. I have a keyboard and wireless mouse and hung the laptop to a TV flat screen 42 inch.

  • Help! Aspire 5735 laptop with broken screen does not recognize external monitor after the factory restore

    I have an ACER Aspire 5735, running horrible Vista that never worked from the beginning, always locked up, media player never worked, on, on, and after about a year my dog took in the power cord and threw out of the table and the broken screen. I used it with an external monitor for a while, but it was even worse after that and after that he take to get fixed yet has proceeded to run super slow, always locked up, refused to stop or start upward normally, and so he sat in a closet for about 3 years.

    I took it out a week ago to see if I could at least use it for my kids to friends to play on, but that she still had so many questions, I decided to do a factory restore. And of course the recovery disks that I did when I got it do not work and are not yet recognized by the computer. So I went online and has used a method that I found there by rebooting and hitting the keys ALT F10 until I was at the factory reset option. It worked GREAT! Except once the computer has restarted and opened up to windows deleted monitor and I can't do anything with the computer because apparently it does not recognize that it is hooked to an external monitor on the restore to factory settings!     I have a Dell Inspiron Mini running on Windows XP, that I dropped and broke a plastic wedge.  The broken plastic cut a wire to the screen, leaving me with a white screen.  I was able to use the fn 1 toggle to turn on a second monitor via a HDMI cable.  However, I decided that the blank white screen bothers my eyes, I went into the display settings and select 'make this my main screen' which means, do my main screen TV.  However, he turned off the TV screen instead of the empty white laptop screen.  The Fn 1 button no longer works.  I tried to do a manual telephone walkthough with Dell system restore.  By restoring the computer to its factory settings, I should allowed to use the Fn 1 button again to turn on my TV via HDMI cable - without success.  Therefore, Dell confirmed that I had a software internal problem and recommended that I post him for repair (no guarantee).  The Dell Inspiron Mini has no CD Rom internal drive, however, I have the original disks supplied with the notebook software program which is five years (or more).  The Dell Inspiron Mini operating system is Windows XP.

    Now, I have a laptop HP large format, with CD Rom drive, running on Windows 7.   Can I use my HP CD Rom to install the original records of the original Dell Inspiron mini Dell program?  Thank you.

    We suggest you to check if the mouse is detected in Device Manager.
    a. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    b. expand mice and other pointing devices.
    c. check if the connected mouse is detected in the list.
    Also download and install the right mouse software. Click on download software

    Once the software is installed, restart the computer and check the difference.
    If the problem continues, check if the mouse works on another computer to cross check if it is not damaged.

    Start the BIOS of the controller (CTRL-C)

    Select the controller

    This will bring you to the adapter properties window.

    Use the arrow keys to highlight and select Properties RAID, press on enter.

    This brings you to the window again select array Type, there is now an option to view existing matrix. Using the arrow keys, select view existing array,

    Select the Inactive matrix. Select manage the Array.

    The only options available is to activate the table or delete the table. In order to get this controller to accept the disk configuration, select Activate array by using the arrow keys to highlight, and then press ENTER.

    Confirm Activation.

    Return to the main menu and select SAS topology and check that the two tables are active.

    It will depend on where the tables in table are kept with the card.  Be sure and back up all your data.

    This map requires an older system motherboard for it to work.
