Performance and memory problem

Location:

Have a mapping in Informatica (SDE), who joins about 15 tables from the OLTP database to create the staging table. This process joins the tables such as accounts, orders, and control elements. Great process that joins with very large tables. The process has been running in about 18 minutes, a change has been made.

Change:

Added three additional tables in the join (account tables and references) to pull 5 new fields. Two of these paintings are large enough with the third being small.

Question:

Now, the process that was running in about 18 minutes is more than 8 hours to run. If I take the SQL mapping code and run it in SQL Developer, it runs less than a minute.

Possible cause:

Don't know what the problem is that suddenly caused the process to change so dramatically. One thought is that the addition of three new tables in the join can be maxing some Informatica cache in temporary memory (storage). Looking at the workflow and I noticed that the size of the buffer of DTM has been set to 36 m. Not sure if this aspect will have to be increased, or if there is another parameter that we need change. Any insight and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you...

  • Profile of Performance and memory

    Hi, guys

Trying to analysis the data of my profile to the profile of Performance and memory.

When I check the data for VI times, I found there are same screws with different time of VI, whatever that means

Why I cela it is because I will add model pulse for my VI, so I need to know the relationship between my all instruments and time, I'm on the right track

    Thank you

It seems that the calendar had a resolution of 15.6 ms, which I think is common on some flavors of the Windows operating system.  Note that the average time on some of these screws is equal to zero.  This suggessts that time for many tracks 1878, was probably recorded as zero and some were 15.6 ms.

It's one of the limitations of the Profiler.

  • Toshiba A50-frequency of 106:FSB Bus and memory problem

    Hello
I have a problem with my new Toshiba A50-106. There are Celeron M 1, 5 GHz inside. That all specifications for this processor FSB speed should be 4x100MHz and for my memory bus speed should be 2 x 133, but when I check in SiSoft Sandra 2004 I see 4x187MHz (748 MHz) FSB and the speed of the Bus of Mem 2x249MHz (4 98 MHz). I can't fix it myself, because there is no such option in the BIOS and there is no standard software from Toshiba.
Consequence of this is the problem of the temperature of my cpu. It is on average 54 c in an idle state.
Perhaps you have had the same problem or knows what is in him and you can help me.
What is a temperature average of your Celeron M?

    Thank you in advance,
    Michael

    Hi michael,.

to your first question, have you run Sandra 2004 in battery mode because in battery mode CPU manages to set the speed of the FSB and memory also bus speed!

So, try once more on AC power mode and let me know the results.

Also, you should check these results with different bechmarking systems because these programs work differently.

@ temperature problem: there is problem o with 54 HP. The home page of intel, said a 125 C is the maximum and then the CPU stops automatically!

  • New PPr upgrade and memory problems now

I upgraded my version of PPr CC 2015 20 days ago and I went back to make a project that I had previously worked on and made more than 3 weeks. Now, it will not be made and the computer is just running out of memory and encoding is abandoned. I am on Windows 7 with a 2 years old i7 processor and have been able to use the first Pro CC 2015 without problem until the upgrade to the latest version that came out about 20 days ago. Are there bugs that are being developed here? Thanks for any info. I had the project made out by removing all effects to make sure it was a memory problem and quite sure the file render out with effects off the coast. However, I could make with effects on before this update.

    Thanks for you response Brian.

Can you remove the effects of light and then give it a shot? Effects of light seem to be common with those who have reported this problem.

    Thank you

  • C++ = > LV: array, pointer and memory problem

    Hello

To research and spent a few days on this...

I have the following function in C++, which returns a pointer(float *) in an array of float, I need to be dumped in a block of code. I created the DLL and I loaded it in the DLL to LV function (everything is ifne I see and I add the parameters) and accordingly implemented the following example. I then had to find a way to get the pointer to work. All the examples use U32, not a float... There is no float * double or type... back... How is it that is managed?

So I think I'm sort of on the right track by searching and using the example here:

    http://www.NI.com/example/28672/en/

I'm sure that isn't true, b/c I simulate the DLL code in MSVS and it works perfectly, but when I have the port, the data are bad... but I get size of 4 floats. ALSO... the memory of DLLS don't reset... so if I run it for the first time, it will calculate the data for n = 0 ==> = 1000 n (see photo), but the next run instead of repeat when I press play, data will begin to n = 1000, ==> n = 2000 all I want to do is pass an array of size 3 type of float data our of my DLL , and in labview... race LV and then stops, the memory will NOT keep its value but reset...

Here's the function, call others, but you can see:

char * getYawPitchRoll (float Gx, float Gy, float Gz, float Ax, Ay float, float Az, __int32 msTimeStamp)
    {
char * YPRptr = YPRDEG; SIZE OF 3 FLOATS DATA TABLE
getYawPitchRollRad (Gx, Gy, Gz, msTimeStamp, Ax, Ay, Az); written in an array (float) of global variable 'YPRDEG '.
    UpdateYPRDEG();
    Return YPRptr;
    }

Also attached photo of LV code and library settings *.

Why is it so ridiculous for LV to manage?

Please help, I'm out of gas here.

    Thank you

    -Peter

You must change the table Type, then set the table on pointer data in Table Format. I've never had this problem with variables keeping their previous value and my C is a little rusty, so I'm not sure your problem of Globals. If they are initialized on charge then Taki solution should work, even if repeatedly loading and unloading of the dll should not be necessary. Or maybe you could initialize the when you call your main function? MC

Well, as a first step, you use two utilities questionable; SlimWare & IObit, if you used either to "optimize" your system or use the driver verifier, who knows what problems you have caused to your system.

Uninstall both, before using an "undo" option, if programs have such.

Visit the HP support for your model, then get the correct drivers

Your C drive has enough free space (238 gb), victory uses 62 GB (which includes your libraries)

    Hello

When your computer doesn't have enough memory for all the actions it is trying to perform, Windows and your programs can stop working. To help prevent information loss, Windows will inform you when your computer is low on memory. You can also learn to recognize the signs of low memory and take measures to prevent the problem. Insufficient memory problems occur when your computer is running out of RAM and becomes virtual memory. This can happen when you run more programs that the RAM memory installed on the computer is designed to support. Low-memory problems can also occur when a program free up memory that it needs more. This problem is called memory overuse or a memory leak.

You can consult the following Microsoft articles and check if it helps.

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Function of memory in the loop control and Simulation - problem of the ODE Solver

    Hello

I'm correctly using the control loop & simulation to simulate the behavior of what is essentially a shock absorber-spring-mass system. In the process of change in time (dt) is used to integrate an arbitrary value. I use a rack depending on memory to store the time, to calculate the change of time (dt).

The simulation is quite complex, because of the precision required, not all the ODE solvers can all support. Currently I use the Adams-Moulton method, this works very well for the simulation. However, it cannot detect the change in time, the change is constantly zero. This problem has auto market by using an another ODE Solver, but then the simulation has been messed up instead (even when I listen to the step sizes and tolerances). So I'm pretty confident that Adams-Moulton is one of solver ODE best suited to the problem at hand.

Is there another way to store the previous hour and use it calculate lag, that the use of the memory function? Everyone knows about these problems before?

I did a lot of research of error using the probe, but I'm sure that there is a problem with the ODE Solver and memory function. See the image below, showing basic how is calculated the change in time.

I'm pretty new to LabVIEW, so if there is something else I missed I would be happy to hear it.

PS! I set the tolerance minimum step of size/relative and absolute for the Adams-Moulton to simulate the behavior of the system properly.

    Problem solved!

It turns out that the ODE Solver has struggled because of two "table 2D find" used functions. This was created for the interpolation/extrapolation, which caused a problem constantly and the ODE Solver could not resolve correctly, so the functions of memory doesn't work does not correctly or the other.

By increasing the table manually, I could use closest method instead, with also good results as interpolation.

  • Problems of performance and more recent PPAPI Flash Player free?

    Hello

I recently noticed some pretty serious performance issues in the latest versions of PPAPI Flash Player in Chrome.

    I use:

    • Windows 7 64 bit
    • Version of chrome 41.0.2272.101 m (64-bit)
    • Flash Player Version PPAPI: 17.0.0.134

I noticed a sharp decline in performance recently when updating of Chrome, I've been using Away3D 4.1 (using Stage3D) to create a series of generative Art experiments, if you check out the one below that I found in Internet Explorer and Firefox (using the version of the Flash Player NPAPI), the performance of FPS on my system is about 35-40 fps for me , but in drive PPAPI of Chrome, it fell drastically to all about 6 or 7 fps.

Recently I updated my version of Chrome, so this is a recent change... around a few weeks ago, that this content was working fine in Chrome, around 35-40 fps even I get in other browsers.

    http://Waroo.com/genart9s

Did anyone else out there see these performance issues with recent versions of the Chrome PPAPI Flash Player?

That's the good news, thank you for the update.  We work closely with the team of Chrome, and there were corrections of the performance of both sides.  I have to debug it to understand which give, but it is good to know that things are trending in the right direction.  We would certainly reach parity with NPAPI in terms of performance (he has often a trade-off between security and performance), and we will continue to target for earnings opportunities wherever they present themselves.

    Thank you!

    I need help.

I have switched side bar indicator to see the cpu usage and memory. I noticed that the memory runs at 85%. I was told to put the processor for the four cores. Now, the cpu runs at 0.4% to 23% and the memory usage is always the same. You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

Dump files are files containing the status of the machine when it crashed. We can analyze the file to identify the driver (or program) causing the accident. See the last section on how to get them analyzed by a volunteer.

    Analyze dump files
If you want to analyze your own dump files.

You need start exploring as an administrator to access the files in C:\windows\Minidump. Explore a right click and choose run as administrator.

Download and install the debugging tools for Windows
Install Windows SDK, but simply choose the debugging tools.

Create a folder called symbols in C:\

Start Windbg. Menu file - path to the symbol file and enter

    SRV * C:\symbols* http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols

Close, and then reopen WinDbg. Menu file - Open Crash Dump

It will analyze the crashdump. You must close and reopen WinDbg for each analyzed dump file. Because you download symbols from the internet WinDbg seems to be to do nothing. But it's the download. Be patient.

Looking for a driver or a library system that the incident occurred at the end of the list. Find the file, do a right click then Properties - Details tab. If it shows a driver, you will need to update the driver identified. Most of the pilots are in c:\windows\system32\drivers.

Look for the drive for a file.
Click Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type by replacing drivername.sys by the name of the file (or copy and paste by clicking in the command prompt window and choose Paste).

    dir c:\ drivername.sys/a/s

If it has a file system see if you can get a program to analyze - v.

Type in the theWinDbg command prompt

    ! analyze - v

-v means Verbose and if the accident was created by a program, as opposed to hardware or a driver, it will appear in the middle of the list.

    for example

    Nom_processus: java.exe
    Nom_image: ntkrnlmp.exe

Nom_processus does not appear in the output of v - analyze and only if a program is from the call that was blamed.

    Download them for analysis

Or download files minidump to your Public SkyDrive folder and copy the link in the address bar, and I'm going to do an analysis.

SkyDrive is the download file from Microsoft, Windows Live, at https://skydrive.live.com/site.  Read about it at http://explore.live.com/skydrive.

If you downloaded one of the Live applications or a web site based Live mail account, you already have access to your Skydrive.

Put your list of events in the Public folder and copy the link in the address bar.

  • Monitor performance and reliability of Vista not updated

    Hi all

I have a HP Pavilion dv4 Vista SP2 machine is installed. From time to time, I check the performance and reliability of my machine monitor. Recently I discovered that reliability monitor has not been updated since 17/03/2012, while performance monitor is OK. I've used various methods to overcome this problem to delete the contents of the folders PublishedData and stateData evolution of their access permissions. However, no method has been of assistance. I also tested my memory with the Memory Diagnostic tool, and if all goes well no error has been detected.
When I check the Task Scheduler RacAgent.exe, everything is OK and its State is mentioned as queued. But when I run it, nothing happens and the last Run result shows 0 x 0. Also when I run the command line RacAgent.exe nothing happens. I should mention that a few days ago the RacAgent.exe worked normally and the task manager has also shown its process for about 30 seconds and the field last result run the task scheduler has shown other useful addresses, but even at that time there, I had the same problem: reliability monitor not updated.
I really need your help and I look forward to your itinerary
    Best regards

    Hey Amir,

Thanks for asking! Looks like there could be possibly a corruption of system files or an infection. We will check by running the associated scans.

The auditor of file system (CFS) scanner to check any file system corruption. Follow the article here.

In addition, run Microsoft Safety Scanner to check any infections. Read this article for the same thing.

I hope this helps! Don't answer that if they do not help, we can seek other options.

  • Big client - vCenter 5.5 response time of the customer Web U1c / questions of Performance and Navigation

So we're all aware of the issues with vCenter 5.5U1 WebClient and how we are forced to use it to make use of all the features of the v10, vDS 5.5 vHardware (config switch changes the synchronization problems if an emergency change is done on c# client vDS) VSAN only available via the web client, flash, sluggish to questions do not respond the questions and the list goes with the presentation of the menus and hard to navigate, issues SSO (always after 5.5 upgrades)

So @ VMware vCenter Architecture Team is going to make an effort to hear and give due to the much needed performance improvements and improvements to the user interface before adding more features and SSO type services which majority of clients don't use not and not force it's customers continue to loose faith its vCenter product?

Looking for answers with options to remove vCenter 5.5 U1c installation as well as a promise to answer to these in vCenter 6.0 version!

Here is your answer. First of all, to use Chrome as your browser, then you need to go with at least 4vCPU * 32 GB of RAM & adjust the segment size of java for SSO, Tomcat, (TC) Management Server, inventory server and profile based storage to "refine" vCenter device with DB Oracle embedded or external memory. I did, and performance gains went 10 X. This includes the vSAN enabled running clusters. My recommendation that works very well based on design documents:

    vCenter Server inventory

VMware VirtualCenter Management Webservices (tc Server)

    The inventory service

    (Sps) profile-based storage service

Large (more than 400 guests or 4000 VMS) stock

    4 GB

    12 GB

    4 GB

Setting on the vCenter server 5.5 of the memory unit

    • Connect the unit to vCenter server using SSH
    • VI /usr/lib/vmware-vsphere-client/server/wrapper/conf/wrapper.conf configuration file, locate the JVM memory section and change maxmemory to 4096
    Line 66 # Memory #wrapper.java.initmemory = 512wrapper.java.maxmemory = 4096 JVM
    • /usr/lib/vmware-vpx/inventoryservice/wrapper/conf/wrapper.conf VI configuration file, find the setting. MaxMemory and replace it with 12288
    Line 116 # Size (in MB) maximum Java heap wrapper.java.maxmemory = 12288
    • VI /usr/lib/vmware-vpx/sps/wrapper/conf/wrapper.conf find the setting. MaxMemory and change from 1024 to 4096
On line 154 # Size (in MB) maximum Java heap wrapper.java.maxmemory = 4096
    • Restart the vCenter device w / DB (1000 hosts) external /embedded for lab (100 guests)

PS: vCenter 6.0 has much better performance based on my beta test... so don't lose hope yet. Many improvements to come...

PS: I've also broken down on this here until I figured this out just recently: Re: big client - vCenter 5.5 response time of the customer Web U1c / questions of Performance and Navigation

I have a question where Firefox wont ' quit and give a message "not responding" after I've been using Google Mail. It works fine when I'm not using this program. I tried Safe Mode and the problem still happens when I go on Google Mail, so it is not connected with modules, extensions, etc.
