Help us understand exactly what 'not to shake the latter can' and "last machinations" means to you.

Who suggested you remove Adobe Flash Player and install IE8?

What is your version of XP and the Service Pack?

If your AV software recount not find anything, it may just mean that he found everything he knows and you might still have a malware problem.   Since no single AV program does seem to know everything, it is prudent to use several respectable tools when you analyze your system.

I do this and then fix any problems.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

  • I managed to stop annoying popup windows from amazon today by the uninstall of a program called firefox maintenance. Was this spyware or software legitimate?

I started getting pop ups very recently (oct 2015) I went to the Panel and programs a characteristic and class list install by date. At first it was one that I distrusted, maintenance on a hunch and firefox decided to uninstall it. I made the right choice - and how this program type of spyware/adware on my computer.

Hi, there is a legitimate program called Mozilla Maintenance Service, which in your programs, should show the same under Firefox version number - what is the Service of Maintenance Mozilla?. If that's what you mean, it would be not responsible for pop-ups advertising. If it is really "Maintenance of Firefox", then I would have certainly considered with suspicion.

  • How can I check my Mac mini for spyware and other viruses

How can I check my Mac mini for software spyware and other forms of virus? Recently, I received an electronic invoice which seems to come from Apple on a purchase that I did not. Unfortunately, I answered by clicking on a link that asked me to cancel or manage this purchase that led me to a site that didn't look like an official Apple site. I am afraid that simply by doing so, I welcomed the spyware on my Mac mini hard drive.

My Mac was purchased in 2011 and runs on OS X El Capitan (version 10.11.6).

    Kind regards

    Politkovskaya

Receive a fraudulent e-mail for a purchase confirmation, you did not is a very common scam. Remember that you are not misled by providing personal information solicited by this e-mail.

Unfortunately, I answered by clicking on a link that asked me to cancel or manage this purchase that led me to a site that didn't look like an official Apple site. I am afraid that simply by doing so, I welcomed the spyware on my Mac mini hard drive.

No harm will come of the fact that you wrote. Fraudulent Web sites that are made to appear as legitimate those who are specially designed to convince you to reveal personal information. If you don't have that, no further action is necessary or justified. Do not install anything, no matter the source or the apparent popularity, in response to one such scam. To do this would be the first step in a path well worn to the misery.

On the other hand, if you were tricked into providing personal information (like your Apple ID and password) you will need to change your password on Apple ID. Please write back for instructions.

  • e-mail to contact apple about spyware?

This is going to be a long post im sorry but I have tried to provide as much information as possible.

I have an ipod 6th generation and I managed to download something w/spyware I guess? I got a vpn on and was a downlaoder app, I learned a bunch of tabs open after recording something and suddenly my ipod froze a bit and went on a page on my ipod screen white and then open the mail to show that he tried to send an email to anyone with the subject by saying that :

"WARNING: call Apple Tech Support + 1-800-891-8 * 9 your device can have SPYWARE VIRUS call Apple support immediately for help on how to remove the virus."

the screen that flashed only for awhile and then I could not open my mail app more, my first reaction was to remove my vpn and download app. I continued to try to go on my app mail without success. Then I got a message saying I had a wrong password on my emails (I don't have anything to this e-mail) I started to delete my emails one by one and even then, I couldn't open my email application, and then I noticed that my application of chrome has been updated by himself (he was in the same folder as the downloader and vpn) so I deleted everything on this folder and updated my ipod to the latest ios, after that, I saw that I still had my chrome app? but on another page on my ipod so I deleted who and then I fear that the spyware was on something else so I have reset the settings on my ipod and I could FINALLY open my mail application and see the email correctly and I even took screenshots this time.

I'm not sure if there was really a spy software, or if its actually went, should completely reset my ipod? connect my ipod to my laptop is a bad idea right now?

  • How to find and remove spyware strikes from an iPhone?

I worked for a short time at a small company a couple of years.   I left when I become convinced that they have been systematically spy on employees.   Since they have insisted that we all use our own phone / computer, I suspect that they installed spyware strike when they installed other software for "compatibility".   I want to be sure that it is gone, so I would do something to remove anything that may still be lingering on my phone and the computer.  How do I do that?  If I wipe & reinstall from backup to the cloud, will this strike spyware also be saved?

  • Persistent problems with the Magic Mouse

I have persistent problems with my Magic Mouse. He often stops followed (i.e. the cursor on the screen does not move when I move the mouse), or the input button on malfunctions (i.e. I don't click and drag, or cannot right click, or when I click on something and that you hold the button down it doesn't "stick").

I called Apple and they took me through all the troubleshooting steps (reset the SMC, PRAM, etc.) and I finally get a new mouse. I got a new and have exactly the same problems!

The ONLY thing that solved the problem by restarting the computer, or logging in and out. But the problem then begins again after anywhere from a few minutes to a few days (the most often within hours).

    Any ideas?

Here is more information in case it is useful:

    • I plugged a wired Logitech mouse, and to my surprise, it also does not work. I thought that the problem was related to the wireless/Bluetooth connection, but this clearly isn't.
    • I have a Wacom tablet attached to my computer, and it works very well, no matter if it has connected (via USB dongle) wireless or wired (via USB).

There seems to be something wrong with any particular software/system control the mouse.

  • Secure connection failed: 'sec_error_ocsp_old_response '. I tried your troubleshooting tips, the problem persists.

I tried the trick in Firefox help page (delete the file "cert8.db"), but the problem persists. (I couldn't even for Firefox Help pages in Firefox, had to use Chrome to get here!) The error message means there is a problem with secure web sites themselves, but which is not normal, that I can easily open them with several other browsers. Firefox help page gives several examples of the type "sec_error_..." error messages ", but not one specific I get:"sec_error_ocsp_old_response. "

I'm running Windows 8.1 and tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, nothing helps.

    Thanks for the tips!
