Phone Boot - Auto on USB to the computer?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had seen this quirk...

  1. I let my Moto-X run to the bottom of the battery until it stops.

  2. I then plugged my charger USB (not a computer)

  3. When it reached about 80% then I unplugged and plugged into my USB connected to my MacBook hub

  4. The phone then started by itself without having to push the power button.

For me, it's weird behaviors and I have never seen where one of my phones did in the past. Feel when he settled with a USB charger to a USB hub that is connected to a computer, it automatically starts...

Is this normal? If so, is there a way to prevent this? I wanted to reload completely my phone before using it, but that will not happen if this keeps the cause...

Thank you!

There are two types of cable - support cables and PC Sync cables. Now most of the time you get only the PC sync cable.

When the phone load bootstrap and it detects a PC sync cable it will automatically start in the operating system. It is a 'feature' of recovery so that you reach fastboot or for a full boot if the display does not work (this is the explanation given for me). I have four phones spanning 3 years motorcycle variants and they all behave this way.

If the PC sync cable is plugged into a wall charger, data pins are inactive and belt of startup of the phone determines that it is solely in charge mode.

If you have a charge only cable and plugged into your MBP the phone would not be spinning-globe and boot to the OS.

Original title: Usb port giving power but not showing devices

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community Forum.

I appreciate your efforts to resolve the issue. According to the description, I understand that you can not see your phone in windows Explorer when you connect to the USB port. This could happen have come into conflict with the existing application in your computer. I can understand the frustration when things don't work as expected.

I would like you to provide us with more details so that we would be able to find the root cause of the problem:

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?
    2. What is the brand and model of your phone?
    3. Were you able to see your phone under Windows Explorer before?
    4. You have recently made any changes to your computer?

In the meantime, I suggest you try the method:

  • cannot download pictures from my iphone.i been phone with apple and it not the phone, they said some parameters with the computer is not correct

don't know what to do, can you help?

    Hi cliffbrady9830,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    1. were you able to download photos from Iphone earlier?

2 recent changes on your computer?

    3. are you any error when uploading pictures?

    4. do you believe that any player of new withdrawal created on the desktop once you connect your Iphone?

    You can try this method.

If you click Start and in the AutoPlay to start search type and then should see AutoPlay fill under programs select auto play.

Once in Auto play scroll devices and see if you see your Iphone within devices click the menu drop down and set to import pictures using windows then click ok and then you plug the Iphone and see if it allows you to import.

Also, if you want to ask you what measures you take whenever you plug in your Iphone to select
"ask me every time" based on the Auto play.

The Iphone will not transfer pictures to your computer if the device is locked and you are using an access code. If you want to transfer photos, simply unlock (Slide to unlock and enter the access code) your device to transfer photos.

Note: Connect Iphone to your computer in unlocked mode.

  • Explorer displays unknown USB on the network in the Explorer tab - but no USB in the computer

In Explorer windows on the network tab, there are 2 devices posted - one is my computer and another is a device called "DD - WRT 3FFA33. When I click on it, there is a folder named "usb" (in the right pane under the word usb, it says 'share' in gray lettering). When I click on the "usb" folder, I get a message

"Windows can not access \\Dd-wrt 3ffa33\usb be"

Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there could be a problem with

your network. To try to identify and resolve network problems, click

    diagnose.

I cannot uninstall or remove this device and can not solve a network problem.

Can someone tell me what it is and how get rid of it if it is not necessary or something else as spyware?

    Thank you in advance.

Is the USB port on your router. It needs software to work, but the USB ports on the routers are spectacularly useless for anything and in some cases partially are dumbed down by the provider of the router.

If you let be, you get no error messages... :-)

    Hi DonnieS,

As you mentioned in your post, it is usually caused due to corruption in file registry of pilots. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

The known last good Configuration feature is a recovery option that you can use to start your computer by using the most recent settings that worked. The known last good Configuration feature restores all information and the driver registry settings that were in effect the last time the computer started successfully.

Refer to the following article in Microsoft Help to boot last known good configuration:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-last-known-good-configuration

    Method 2:

Try to reinstall the drivers from CD/DVD and check if it helps. This is to check if the problem is caused due to the corruption of driver's record or not.

To uninstall and reinstall the device drivers, see the following Microsoft TechNet article.

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725782.aspx

Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can better help you.

  • Deliver e tht USB on the computer.

Hello, I have a Windows 7 PC that I built a year and half ago. There is a month that I started having extreme with my USB keyboard and mouse issues when at the most random times the keyboard and mouse would basically freeze and refuse to get anything. I knew that the computer was not frozen because sometimes I was listening to music, or was on Skype, play a game, etc. I would then force shutdown my computer now the power button on my PC so that I can restart the computer where the USB problem would go away.

I tried unplug the keyboard and mouse and try other ports, but once the Frost starts it is a little more for me and I have to restart the computer. I noticed however, that my controller Xbox 360 never (connected via the back of the usb port of the computer) the disconnection problems, but even to start my mouse on the port back does nothing to fix. Literally this problem occurs randomly, sometimes just when I started my computer and I'm waiting for some of my programs start (where I then would be able to actually disconnect the mouse and you reconnect to work), or maybe an hour or a few hours. I never know when the keyboard or mouse hangs, and it makes no sense.

Apparently, my controller driver USB and some drivers were gone, but I was actually able to find the drivers on my site of motherboards to install back (not sure how they were absent). But still, which did not fix the issue. I also used LiveUpdate 6 of MSI to try to update some things, but still no dice. I don't know why I have these problems and even try to find the drivers for my keyboard and mouse logitech has failed.

    My config is as such:

  • Windows 7 does not allow you to copy tapes through the USB to the computer... need help!

I bought a cassette/converter of Grace Digital Audio Player to convert cassettes to MP3 files on my computer (HP laptop Pavilion DV 7/Windows 7 64-bit). Directions say to just plug into the USB port, press Play on the machine and press Record on the Audacity software.  It copies the music... and all the other noises in the room.  I tried to disable the microphone from the computer... but then it won't copy the music at all.  I called the manufacturer of the product through and they say it's a Windows 7 problem.  So, how can this work?  Thanks for any help you can give me...

    Hello

    Follow the steps mentioned below.

    (a) plug one end of the audio cable into the headset of your cassette player or 'Line' jack out and the other end into 'Micro' of the sound card on your computer or "Line in" jack. To avoid any possible damage sound card, use if possible 'in Line' decision and not the "Microphone".

    (b) launch Audacity and change the type of entry 'in Line' or 'Microphone', depending on what jack of the soundcard you are using. This indicates Audacity to record everything he "hears" the map of sound input. To do this, open the menu editing, then Preferences. You will then see a screen that should do what you need: use the "Device" selector to choose your entry (sound card, microphone, audio jack, etc.) and change the 'Channels' selector to choose between mono or stereo recording.

    (c) press the record button on Audacity, then press play on your cassette (red circle).

    (d) press the stop (yellow square) on Audacity when the tape is finished playing.

    (e) use the menu option "file-> export to WAV" to save your record. The WAV file can be saved on your computer, converted to MP3 or burned on a CD. Get fancy with the Audacity audio editor features: you can cut, paste and add effects easily.

You must save a clip of ten seconds at first, so that you can play it will immediately return in Audacity (green triangle button) and make sure your volume levels is good. If the audio recorded is too strong or too static, decrease the volume of your cassette player.

  • I have a wireless adapter plugged into a port USB lock the computer.

I have a plugged into a USB wireless adapter.

I suddenly started bad connection to the router and my computer XP crashes.  The only way out is to do a hard reboot powering. When she returns to the top I'm reconnected but some or all of my cookies are undervalued.

I have Win XP with Service pack 3 and it is kept up-to-date.

I have a good anti-virus and firewall, and just in case, uninstalled and installed a different security package to make sure that wasn't it.

The wireless USB adapter is a linksys.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software for the Linksys and I reinstalled using the internet XP system so the Linksys software is not installed.

The problem seems to be stabilized after I uninstalled the adapter and re-installed without the Linksys software, just the drivers.

Problem solved, thanks for the help.

  • deceived by false windows phone technicians to access remotely to the computer... worried...

I allowed remote technical support of false windows phone access until I realized what was happening. I didn't not give money and now when I start my computer I need to enter a password. I've never had to do. They still have access to my computer? can they see my personal passwords and banking passwords and e-mail? It was a month ago and my computer is running slowly now and im worried of my personal info. I got the password of the so-called technician so I can use my computer again, but I can't change this password! I'm worried...

If anyone can answer all these questions, that would be great
    Nicole

    Hello Nicole,.

Never give someone who calls you and you don't know, remote access to your PC.

In response to your questions, yes they still have access to your PC. Yes they have probably taken note your bank details and other personal information on your PC.

Inform your bank that your PC has been compromised. Then reinstall completely Windows on your PC operating system. Change each password, including those that you use to log on to your PC.

Microsoft would never call you on your PC problems. The only exception is if you have a prepaid support contract with Microsoft, which, obviously, you have not.

If you copy and paste a file or folder, it does not get deleted in the source location. It gets deleted in the source location when you cut and paste the file or folder. The article below explains how to copy and paste a file or folder.
