Photo cartridge

If I use the photo cartridge once in and out of the printer. I'll be able to use it later?

Hi Christypm,

It is not recommended to buy out of your printer, as the ink will dry. However, if you have an older printer that had a separate supply Photo that you will put in your printer instead of a other supply then you should be able to get a humidor specifically designed to store your supply to prevent the ink to dry.

  • Photosmart 7525 - Black XL boxed is photo cartridge

I bought HP 564XL real black cartridges for my printer Photosmart 7525 - but they were too big and did not return.  I contacted HP CAT, and we discovered that 564XL area contained 564XL rather than the regular black cartridge 564XL photo cartridges.  Real cartridges show black "Pentagon", which represents the photo cartridge, but the HP box, it came in do NOT say they are photo cartridges.  Error on the packaging manufacturing site, I guess.  In any case - beware!

OK, now we are getting somewhere.  The cartridge with the symbol of the butterfly is the Photo cartridge, it is that you will need.  The Black cartridge is the one with the symbol of the Pentagon, as stated in my previous post above.

The Photo cartridge is the same width as the color cartridges, the black cartridge is wider.

You need to buy a Photo, here's an example cartridge.

  • HP7520 printer using the photo cartridge during the printing of the documents not General and black print cartridge

My 7520 printer uses the photo and not the General black cartridge when printing on plain paper documents. The black general still full but my photo cartridge runs out of ink.

    Hi shay!

My apologies, I didn't know that your prints come out in blue print when you have a totally black cartridge. It is a problem of print quality with the printer or something in the settings of your computer.

I suggest to try the steps in the guide below. You have already tried some troubleshooting, try so the steps that you have not yet tried, I understand:

The streaks of ink fixing, faded prints and other common print quality problems

If you're still only able to print in blue (no black print), so I recommend you call HP to let them know. As you mentioned you have only had the camera for 3 months, it is likely under warranty and you might need a spare part or unit.

Here are the details of HP:

If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions: click here.

I hope this problem is solved for you, have a wonderful Wednesday

  • Photosmart 7520 accepting not true 564XL Photo cartridge

    Hi all

Have a Photosmart 7520 who does not accept the authentic 564XL Photo cartridges. Printer was purchased from Denmark, cartridges purchased in Thailand where printer resides now.

Get a message (in Danish) that this cartridge is not appropriate for the printer.

On the packaging of the cartridge, it indicates that the cartridge IS adapted...

How can I get the printer to use this cartridge?

    Last update of Software/Firmware.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You will need to Contact HP to ask a "regionalization Reset." Do not charge for this, it is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works.  Webpage of HP on the subject is here.

  • new, barely used shows already as photo cartridge is almost empty

I have a photosmart 7520, running on Windows 7 and connected wireless. I recently replaced the photo cartridge for installation with a new photo cartridge, and although I barely printed anything since installing it, the ink level is already shown below. What gives? I printed some diagnostic pages, but that's about all.

BTW, I do not have print real photos, just regular documents.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • Printer prints of photo cartridge

I have a 7520 with lots of ink in the black cartridge.  The photo cartridge is empty because I realize now when you print documents from the printer uses and still wants us ink cartridge photo. Now, when I print something it is empty. I checked the settings on my computer and the printer and cannot figure out how to get the printer to print from black cartridge.

    Hello

Select "Black ink" only grayscale printer option will use black ink only. If option levels of gray or color to B & W printer, principle needs to use photo ink. Please note: you still need all the ink cartridges when printing black ink only. The Setup program can vary from the printer to the printer but at the bottom (for Windows):

    (a) double-click the desktop printer icon.
    (b) click on set preferences.
    (c) click on advanced.
d select "Black ink" only for printing in grayscale
    (e) click apply/Ok...

    Kind regards.

  • Photos are not print with the photo cartridge

    Hello

I have a Photosmart e 7510 and am trying to print photos.  I have installed HP Premium paper and HP Photo cartridge installed.  When I print the photos that are green - I printed both a progress report and a report of print quality and the cartridge photo is full but the magenta is empty.  It seems to me that the photos are print with regular color cartridges and not the photo cartridge.  Or photos using all the cartridges?  I correctly on all the printer settings and chose to 'better' than the quality of the photo.

    Any help is appreciated...

The photo cartridge is just black photo, which is used to improve the nuances of black and colors in a photo. When photos are printed colours would be used to create the best possible performance. I could replace the magenta cartridge and printing resumes and see if that solves the Green tinting the problem you are currently experiencing. I hope this helps.

  • With the help of printer/scanner without photo cartridge

Hello! I recently threw my five cartridges (on a C6380), I then bought back Cyan/Magenta/yellow and black. I do not want to print, so I didn't buy the black photo.

However, when I turn on the printer, it stops with the printer screen saying something like: cartridge missing or damaged, blah blah blah.

My problem is I can not go on any other screen, I can't scan, I can't print, I can't make copies...

I don't want to spend 20euros on a new cartridge, I won't use it, is it possible to use my printer?

Thanks a lot for the answers!

Instructions for the replacement of cartridges is warning that the old cartridges should not be removed until a replacement is ready.  Leaving the cartridges from the printer for a long time can allow the print head or connection ink passages become blocked.

CAUTION:  Wait until the new cartridge is available before removing the old cartridge. Do not leave the cartridge outside of the product for an extended period of time. This can result in damage to both the product and the cartridge.

You will need at least a photo cartridge replacement for the printer.

  • 5610 how do you use the photo HP58 cartridge?

I have an officejet 5610 and bought the photo HP58 cartridge.  The problem is when I try to print a color photo, the printer uses the HP22 cartridge.  How can I force it to print in color with the HP58.  I bought the HP58 because the site HP said that it is compatible with the printer.

    Hello

58 Photo cartridge is not used by its own, the pritner uses the 58 and 22 cartridges ink in order to improve the quality of the colors, it will use the cartridges when printing and not only 58 ink cartridge,

Hope the next informaion may help:

    Use a photo print cartridge
You can optimize the quality of the color photos you print and copy with your HP all-in-. -
One by buying a photo print cartridge. Remove the black cartridge and insert

  • Cartridge Photosmart 7520:7520 (CZ045A) special "photo".

What is the function of the extra "photo cartridge" in this printer (the cartridge Black w / bowtie symbol)?

Why is there also few information about this in the documentation?

When I bought a combination package of HP ink for this printer, it has not even include a new "photo cartridge," just the four other cartridges.

The manual says the "photo cartridge" in the diagrams, but said not a word on this subject.

    ??????

Hi @Tom1946 , welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you are looking in the photo cartridges.  Photo cartridges are designed to add extra grey and flesh tones, as well as to add the photo-finish for photographs.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • HP Photosmart Premium C410a: why my photo ink cartridge drain when I'm not print photos?

I usually use the grayscale mode to print only text documents and sometimes use the ColorSmart sRGB option for full-color documents. I have a black cartridge installed XL, as well as the three color cartridges and a photo (bowtie) cartridge. Even with that usage model, it seems that my photo cartridge frequently needs replacement. Also, I can't print a text only document in grayscale when the photo cartridge is low - even if the XL cartridge is new. It's not logical for me. Is there a setting I need to change for my printer pulls the XL cartridge instead of the photo?

    Hello

What is your printer? Grayscale option will use all colors and mix with the black mark that so it uses ink photo (black) more than normal. If you want to use black ink only, you must select black ink only in grayscale options (drop-down in the value of the preferences menu).

    Kind regards.

  • Is there a unit of different printhead for cartridge 564XL printer B210A Photosmart Photo?

I recently bought a set of Multipack 564XL ink cartridges for my printer and says black cartridge Photo on it and it is more narrow than the cartridge 564XL black, who is currently in the printer.  Given that I was going to print photos, I tried to install the new photo cartridge and it does not fit (the "key" on the rear face of the cartridge is different).  I know that the Assembly of the print head containing the cartridges will eject.  I was wondering if there is a meeting of different printhead that I can buy that will contain the photo cartridge?

    Hello

The Photo 564 ink cartridge is not compatible and cannot be used with the model B210.

There are different models that use 5 ink cartridges (e.g. Photosmart C410, 7510) and also uses the Photo ink cartridge. your model supports ink black, yellow, Magenta and Cyan.

  • How to install a PHOTO HP 564XL ink cartridge in the printer all-in-one HP Photosmart 6525?

I have a HP Photosmart 6525 all-in-one printer.  I buy original HP 564XL ink for my printer in a color combo-pack at my local Costco.  The package includes 3 color cartridges as well as a 4th label "Photo".  My printer has only the slots 3 color + a location for a larger black cartridge. I would use the photo cartridge, but my question is:

How to install the Photo cartridge?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi l_john,

I understand that, with the combo, pack of ink you bought came with a Photo black cartridge, and you're wanting to use it in your printer. In regards to your printer, it is not compatible with the black cartridge Photo, both black and Photo black cartridges are not interchangeable. I have included a document here for you that explains this in detail.

    Thank you.

Can I use a cartridge with extra flat 564 black ' photo' in a HP Photosmart B110a? Perth, Australia

No, you can't use a Photo cartridge instead a black cartridge. Photo black and black are not the same and that they are not interchangeable. Here a link to a document that I site the prior statement which also goes to explain why the photo cartridges have been renamed and the differences in the picture and Black cartridges. I hope this helps.

  • Problem installing HP Photo Print Cartridge in my HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-one 99

Simply, I can't understand how to install this cartridge. I think I am following the rules of installation, but it do not go and stay. Now I see that there is an extra room in the box of the cartridge. Just to say AF Ref. 5064-4593 and t here are no instructions except a barely visible figure on the side. It looks like a wagon load of addition for the actual print cartridge. Am I supposed to put in some way as well into the printer?  I could not find the visuals showing how to do this.

I thought that I should use the 99 cartridge, but maybe wrong that my interpretation of another answer is correct. That said to use it with a different print cartridge that my current 74XL. Even if I do not receive the second correct cartridge, I still need to know how to get the 99 in the printer, if I am to use it.  According to online HP and the HP print cartridge box, this 99 cartridge is compatible with the printer.

    Thank you.

    A few things:

The extra room is a "cellar" it is used to store the photo cartridge (or the balck cartrdige when the photo cartridge is in the printer).   This keeps the open cartridge do not dry out.

The #99 cartridge replaced the black cartridge, it is used with the color cartridge.  Make sure you try to put the #99 cartridge into the slot using the cartridge #74 black, not the location of the color.
