PhotoJpg compressor 4

Hi I am new to Apple and want to convert a Prores 422 or 444 in a QuickTime with Photo-Jpg compression. I bought today 4 compressor and foud that there is not a direct "Preset" for this. I found the Prores 422 could be turned into photo-jpg, but since I'm a beginner I have doubts that it will be the right setting for a Photo-Jpg. Maybe there's another way.

also I would like to create a preset called Photo-Jpg when I found the way to get it and store it somewhere in the presets, I see there are custom presets, but I can't find a way to create a new one with this preferences. Ways you can help me?

To make a custom setting. Choose video Quick Time for the Format. In the video, change the settings of QT that opens dialogue QT. In the compressor drop-down list, choose Photo JPEG. Use the quality slider to adjust the bit rate.

Good luck.

  • Send to compressor: how to choose the camera

    Hello

I apologize if this is a really stupid question, I'm quite new to Motion 5.

If I am not mistaken, with send to compressor, using the multi-passages option, and other compressor optimized parameters will result in the export of better quality, if this is true, it's the method that I would use for my final exports.  (If I'm wrong, please correct me and let me know which will give the best final ProRes 4444 60 fps 1080 p export - I then import them using FCPX and do a little cut etc, then exporting to h.264 final 60 fps 1080 p).

Anyway, to my question, how choose them which camera I want to export?

I choose 'Export using compressor settings,' and then I give myself the opportunity to choose which camera, but I no longer like the options of compressor, where I can choose to use multi-pass and all other settings.

I tried selecting the camera that I want to export, and then "Send to compressor", but that does not work, it does not use the camera, I chose.  I have a total of eight cameras, so to choose which device I export is quite important for this odd project.

The answer could be made obvious, once again, I apologize if this is a really stupid question.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

(Motion 5, compressor 4, El Capitan)

If you use 'Export using compressor settings' this essentially load presets created in compressor without going into the application, so it has minimal options for adjustment.  What you want to do, you should be able to create a preset in compressor with the settings you need.  Then moving when you use "Compressor to help export settings" select your preset and in the Render tab, there is the section of 3D rendering, you can select the camera you want to copy.  By default, it should be 'Active Caméra', but you can select your other cameras as well.

The compressor is still weird... I'm compression 4 k stuff on dvd and it looks great so far, but only a little problem there is much movement in my film, it of a dance show and no matter what I do, there are Ghost trails on final dvd images other than those that looks very useful! I tried almost everything and so far nothing works... I did a lot of tests and he burned them to test on a DVD TV funny, it's 10 minutes of film with a lot of movement looks great after having been compressed on dvd... but the whole project 1 hour using the same setting a lot of ghosting trails my images is 24 fps or 23.976 something like that... • Compressor 3.5: "QuickTime error - 50,'" QuickTime - 70 ".

I have a few images HDV captured, placed in a timeline of final cut PRO 7. When I try to transcode these images in a single video file using Compressor 3.5, transcoding fails and I first had a "QuickTime error - 70", then a "QuickTime error - 50."  Any suggestions?

I tried to transcode a full 1920 x 1080; is the more reasonable with native 1440 x 1080 fussy files?  I have 14 total bands, with all except two have successfully prepared the files of 1920 x 1080.

Just leave native HDV. Once edited, export the final assembly by using the current settings, then transcode just important the format of delivery.

  • Compressor flickers and a gazillion more problems...

    Hello

I have so many disagreements with compressor recently bought (4.2.2,) that I don't really know where to start.

    Well, let's focus more annoying:

    • Playing a movie with causes of e/s allowed to compare playback flicker and stutter like a film of the 1920s.

(Looks sometimes much like the field is reversed, even movies are progressive)

In addition the canvas shows not all differences between / out until I move his bar vertical/output comparison completely to the right.

    Installation program:

    iMac 27 ", end of 2013, i7 3.5 GHz, 24 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 780 M / 4 GB VRAM, El Capitan 11.6.

(As claimed by Apple, this configuration should be good with compressor 4.x)

    What I've tried so far:

    1. containers of different movie (.mov, .mp4) with different codecs (several ProRes and H.264 versions)

    2. all mentioned here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203476 (several times, with more reboot I had never made over the past 10 years on all my Macs together...)

    3 disabled Perian 1.2.3

    4. read across the web, was completely...

Another player, i.e. 7 QT, QT X, same MPEG Streamclip nice plays.

That's what I found in the newspapers (just after a compressor installation and reboot system costs):

I just start learning logic and noticed theres a equalizer and compressor on audio tracks automatically!

Is there a reason for this?  and isn't she taking power CPU etc, all having these plug-ins automatically the?

  • No chapters after compressor export?

    Hi people,

I'm editing old family 16mm film to a customer in a SD NTSC file.

The file is modified with several chapters (16 or almost) fully finished.

I exported a file of format prores FCX.  I'm doing this because I also give customers a larger file for self change later if they want.

I drop this file into compressor and choose for preset HD H264. Voila, files look great and its water use.

The only problem is that the chapter markers do not appear in the final .m4v file!   I see them in the window of the compressor after you import the file.

If I use the 720 p HD file, contains the resuling .mov chapter markers.

M4v files, I find, are more compatible with Windows computers and Mac - well, at least the customers don't need to install something more to see.

    I use a compressor on 10.10.5 4.2.2

Any idea or wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Brian

    Keebler says:

The only problem is that the chapter markers do not appear in the final .m4v file!

    Not sure I understand.

Do you mean that the markers do not translate to PC video applications? I can't duplicate what you describe on Mac.

And don't you think that the m4vs are more cross-platform easy as MP4s?

  • IMac will perform faster than the Mac mini when exporting video files in Apple Compressor?

I intend to use Final Cut Pro X.

iMac plug end of 2015: Processor: Core i5 2.8 GHz; RAM: 16 GB; Video card:

    IRIS Pro 6200, 1.7 GB;

    The SSD is the same.

    Thanks for your replies!

Download GeekBench and look over the results of tests to find out. Not enough information provided and without tests side by side of each configuration, it's almost an impossible question to answer definitively.

The SSD used by Apple in a Mini 2012 is not necessarily the same brand and model from the one used in an iMac of 2015. Then there is a dual-core or quad-core i7 in the Mini. iMacs usually had the quad-core processors, I think.

  • MP4 is extremely slow in Compressor 3 - upgrade?

    Hello

I work a lot with the files mp4 (or m4v) and I use a compressor to encode them to the ProRes format - and then to the FCP 7. Currently using Compressor 3.5.3

The problem: it is extremely slow. When dragging a mp4 file (say about 10 min) causes of compressor to think and reflect and think - and then dragging the parameters is the same. Compressor 4 is more favourable to mp4 files and would be faster? Or is it my computer which makes it slow?

The MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

    Thank you

BTW, what I'm trying to do is to convert mkv in ProRes files. I do it in two steps: first Handbreak, then compressor. It is a tedious process, so if anyone has a better solution I would be happy to hear.

If your Mac is the "thought", my guess is that it is not your version of the compressor or your MBP this os the cause. The source file - maybe something suspicious on the handbrake conversion

A plain vanilla MP4 to transcode Pro Res must be handled smoothly by Compressor 3.5 - and fill a bit faster than real time.

Try this. Take a one minute or two QuickTime movie and convert it to MP4. Now that import compressor and transcode to Pro Res.  OK it works?

Also, check that your system drive has sufficient free space - say, a minimum of 10 to 15%.  And make sure that your destination disk has of space as well.

Your question about compressor 4, the answer is Yes. The latest version (4.2) is quite a bit faster than 3.5 - especially for fairly new Mbps and iMacs. It is also an improvement by other means - including options for extended encoding, greater stability and ease of use. (But keep in mind that there is no shipment to capacity of compressor from FCP 7 4.2.)

Good luck. Post back and we do know.

  • Prohibitory sign on compressor in El Capitan

Why is my system tells me iHave installed when 4.1.3 iHave 4.2?

FCP & Motion all two open fine but compressor continues to tell me it is exceeded when well even I deleted 4.1.3

Download FCS Remover. Check the compressor in the dialog box and run - remove applications and related plist files. Then download/install a new copy of the compressor in app store. If you have custom settings, you want to keep before you uninstall, go inside the library of the House (hold down the option key when you click OK in the Finder. In support of the Application, open the compressor folder and move the settings on your desktop folder. When your newly installed application does not work, you can replace the settings again with the old.

    Good luck.

  • You can add a file to a compressor setting?

We use a custom audio setting of compressor for Final Cut, where the audio from a video is exported in MP3 format for a Podcast feed. Everything works fine, but we would like to add an audio intro to the podcast, and the best way to do that would be for setting compressor include audio intro and attach it at the beginning of the export of Final Cut. In this way, we could hit 'export' of Final Cut and immediately download this new MP3 on our podcast. I am trying to streamline our processes and save time.

It's a complicated question, but nobody knows if it's possible? Thank you!

Note: We cannot put audio podcast intro in editing Final Cut, we also export a video file at the same time, that does not have the audio intro.

The compressor is not an editor, it doesn't work like that.  What you want to do is to create your intro in your timeline in FCPX.  Make a compound Clip, or stand alone audio clip.  Just drop it in the scenario first, actually.  But now, a "Preset" compressor understand adding several media to your conversion settings.

What I would do, is to change your Timeline, and then do one of two things.  First of all, you can duplicate this project calendar (Cmd - D), call the a new XYZ - Audio.  Insert the audio clip at the beginning (Cmd - W) and export audio.  Or you can just insert the Intro in your timeline from the start.  Once finished, export audio only, then delete the intro at the beginning and video export.

If this is a regular series, make a library for the series.  Create a new event for each episode.  Create an event for your support of stock, which would include your audio clip Intro.  It's how we make our reality, TV show, who has recurring intros, outtros, bumper, etc.
