  There is a new "Transform" Panel, in which some functions have been moved.

  "Lens Corrections" are now exclusively dealing with aberrations of goal and CA - either with a profile, or manual.

  'Transform' is where the adjustments from the point of view (which were never, strictly speaking, lens corrections in itself).

  In the DNG preferences, version 5.4.0.57 Panel only 3 options will appear. Compatibility, Preview & original Raw file, under compatibility in the custom settings I can check linear & uncompressed, but nowhere can I find checkboxes "Image Conversion method" or "Compression". I installed the DNG Converter on my PC (XP sp3) and my laptop (Vista 64-bit) with identical results.

  Where I'm going wrong?

  You can always control exactly the same things that you could before, just the user interface has changed.

  Linear is the option of conversion method, with a different user interface.  No functionality has been lost.

  Uncompressed is the compression option, with a different user interface.  No functionality has been lost.

  The reason for the compression and linear options have been moved to a custom dialog box is really intended to very few users, and many users would change their default values so that waste disk space because they didn't understand what they were or why they were doing.  That in cases VERY rare use does is make no sense can make a custom compatibility option.  The main way compatible version option does exactly what almost all users need to do, when they want to create DNG files are readable in older versions of Camera Raw.

  Can you please explain exactly why you think that you have to control the custom options?

  I upgraded to Yosemite and now my photos do not recognize my icloud shared photos.  I tried to open the icloud preferences to ensure that pictures are always enabled but I get "unable to load the icloud preferences panel" every time.

  Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

  Quit the application.

  Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist.  Move the .plist on your desktop.

  Restart your computer, open the application and test. If it works fine, delete the plist for the office.

  If the application is the same, return the .plist where you got it, crushing the latest.

  Control Panel - SOUNDS - Audio peripheral devices configuration-manager

  Make sure you write down the description and model double click top - tab drivers - write version. Now
  Click on update drivers who cannot do anything like MS is far behind the certification of drivers. Then RIGHT
  CLICK above and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver stack.

  If your driver shows 06 you have the default windows and part of the question.

  Go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest Audio/Sound drivers - download - SAVE - go to the place where you

  Not sure what happens if you remove the card and put in a similar SD card. I would like to test it so that you know what to expect.

  I am currently using the latest app Photos on El Capitan. I got my Photo library synchronized using iCloud on my laptop and iMac.

  I'm trying to free up space on my iMac and would like to completely remove the pictures I have on it (I got the 'copy returned to the photo library' parameter checked if my photo library database is close to 80 GB!

  My question is, how properly I would go on the removal of the photo library in my iMac, without deleting the photos in the cloud and my laptop, where I would keep everything. At a later stage, I can decide the re - download to the iMac, but I need space for the moment.

  I uninstalled the printer driver using "Control Panel configuration/programs/programs and features/uninstall a program" (because I have a new router so need to specify new SSID).

  Then I tried to re - install the printer driver using the installation CD.

  I inserted the CD, I had small window saying "press to select what is happening with this record."

  After I clicked on I got more options - 1 options has been "run SETUP.exe.

  I clicked on this & got a new window that says "Select install to begin the installation of your new HP device" but there was only 1 option - EXIT - no other & no list downdown.

  I think there must be software always on my PC this CD think that I already have the installed printer driver.

  I checked my list of printers & printer inside. I checked my Downloads folder & no priniter files it contains.

• Epson Stylus Photo 1280 (M) prints only 8-1/2 "wide vs 12.5" wide - Win 7

  The printer driver Windows 7 ultimate 'Epson Stylus Photo 1280 (M') prints only 8-1/2 "wide vs 12.5" wide that the printer is capable of.

  I put the default paper 12.5 "x 18", but it prints still only 8-1/2 "wide no matter what.  It seems to be a driver problem.  It works very well in the old machine with XP.  Note, Epson no longer supports this printer, but there is a driver Win 7 from Microsoft.

• Preferences panel

  I created a panel of preferences and got the items I want on this issue by editing the file caviggia for my plugin. I can't understand how to access elements via ADM however. I also want to add items by ADM rather than use the resource file.

  The functions of the supplied preferences panel do not seem to do what they are supposed to.

  I tried the following:

  1 AddPreferencePanel - it's all good (I think). The dialog box in my resources is given the 16010 ID. This function returns the AIPreferencelItemGroupHandle and the AIMenuItemHandle.

  2 ShowPreferencePanel - it is called when the front returned AIMenuItemHandle is selected. Sends the AIPreferencePanelMessage message, which I catch him.

  This is where things break down:

  3 GetPreferencePanelItemRef - pass in the AIPreferencelItemGroupHandle, out of an ADMItemRef. Supposed to be an element of the ADM group that contains all the items in the Panel that we created above. Call sADMItem-> GetChildItem away she returns not all valid handles.

  4 GetPreferencePanelBaseItemIndex - pass in the AIPreferencelItemGroupHandle before, leave an integer index. Apparently all the item ID in the group that the above are offset by the int. It returns the id 16010 of the id of the dialog box.

  Okay sorry to resurrect this one because I'm sure that one of you has already nailed down now, but I thought I'd share my experience with this stuff.

  I just had to set up a preferences page in a plugin I've been working on and of course, when it came to reading the elements in the Panel, I found myself here. I thought I'd hit a brick wall until a few hours ago, when I made a bit of a breakthrough while I actually wrote a post on this topic, ask for help!

  Initially, I had the same problem to access the items in the Panel as btemp and found the GetPreferencePanelItemRef and GetPreferencePanelBaseItemIndex functions to be equally as useless.  But after a bit of violin and lots of swearing, I finally managed to get notifications of controls in my preference panel.

  So here's how I did it:

  Add your panel of preferences in the usual way by adding a definition of the resource by calling sAIPreference-> AddPreferencePanel

  Intercept the message menu item by using the handle you returned by AddPreferencePanel, below.

  Catch kAIPreferenceCaller - this has not handled by default in the folder plugins SDK sample, so I added it myself.

  Catch the following selectors:

  kAIPreferenceInitSelector

  kAIPreferenceOKSelector

  kAIPreferenceCancelSelector

  kAIPreferenceUpdateSelector

  kAIPreferenceInitSelector - called to your preferences panel is displayed first. -It seems that you will receive this switch if the user has used the keyboard shortcut to access the preferences pane. If the user has selected the menu directly from the Preferences menu item, you will receive the message menu item.

  On your kAIPreferenceUpdateSelctor Manager you are passed an AIPreferencePanelMessage (*).  Use this parameter to get a handle to the dialog as follows (or something like that) box:

  You find that you receive this selector twice so just keep in mind if you need to allocate memory.

  Now you should receive notifications from the controls in your preference panel.

  The kAIPreferenceOKSelector and the kAIPreferenceCancelSelector are called when the user clicks Ok or cancel (surprise!) If you have a chance to save or cancel the changes that the user made. The AIPreferencePanelMessage * sent with these selectors contains an ADMItemRef that is an element of the ADM group as btemp discovered, which is really unnecessary.

  Maybe it's not the way that Adobe intended to work, but until they sort out piss-poor documentation, it works for me.
