Photosmart 375 adapter

What is the right AC adapter the HP Photosmart 375 compact photo printer?   I recently moved and when I tried to use the 375 it lights. I used a Q3419-60040 adapter which is the only adapter HP that I could find, other than the one for my other HP printers, with a production of 32v - 660mA. The only info on power, I don't see in my documentation is the power of the printer not the voltage.

Ugh, I just realized that if this is the right adapter, I'll have to find WHERE I packed my multimeter to test. And the garage is COLD.

The Deskjet 6940 will make prints that are as good as the Photosmart 375, although it may be a little less convenient.

As for a replacement, I usually get these articles eBay, they have a few listed in the <$15> included.

My Photosmart 375 have not used in a while, usually during holidays to print family photos to send them home with relatives.

This time, when I tried to power the 375, the led 'ON' never became green. Opportunities of couple I saw him turn amber. During this cycling process, I saw several error codes, but have not been able to find a reference to what they actually mean.

    'D 881 0958', '89010AAE', '8A272F28' and '0001027D '.

I tried to connect the printer to the computer desktop, but given that the 375 never reaches the State 'on', it does not connect to the desktop. I went ahead a purchased as a new print cartridge, but I got the same results as before.

I appreciate any help in getting this resolved, since I like the printer and won't declare his time of death again.

    Thanks, Mike

The error codes you get point to a fatal mistake in the firmware of the printer. You can try to do a hard reset to clear the error. If this does not work, you will need to replace the printer.

    To do a hard reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
    5. plug in the printer and turn it on.

  • Photosmart C4140: Using the adapter for SDHC and SDXC CF in Photosmart C4140

I have a Photosmart C4140 printer and my cameras using SDHC and SDXC memory cards. I read the specs and some info online and it was stated that this printer does not support these cards. I bought a CF Ultimate Digigear adapter that accepts SDHC and SDCX cards for use in a CF Type 2 slot as the slot on the C4140.  I tried one of my SDXC cards and I get an error "memory card" on the LCD of the printer. Then, I tried the SDHC card in this card and it worked. I was able to view the photos on the LCD of the printer. However, when I tried this SDHC card by removing the adapter and re - insert into the CF slot, I started having the 'memory card error '.  I couldn't read this SDHC card in the new CF adapter. What could happen that he would only read the card only once? I checked this SDHC card in my camera and it still works and can store images. Does anyone know of any other CF adapters that can work?

Info on this CF adapter can be found here:

    http://www.shopdigi.com/product.aspx?pf_id=SDXCF

I would like any advice or ideas.

After some trial and error, I discovered that the CF adapter has one slight movement from side to side, as he goes into the card slot see By putting my thumbs on the corners of the card and pushing the adapter in a fluid, non-stop movement, I was able to get the printer to recognize the adapter and the memory card. It takes a little practice.  This CF adapter works fine. Now I can use the cards SDHC and SDXC times with my printer. I need to buy a new printer.

  • HP Photosmart C4580 WIFI adapter

I just bought a HP Photosmart C4580 WIFI, purchased from the United States. The included adapter is universal? It is, I simply a European plug on my power cable, or do I have to order a European adapter as well?

    Hello @andreasfmpro,

I'm glad to hear that your all got power problem sorted.

Regarding your print cartridge compatibility problems, this HP Photosmart is regionalized for cartridges. First installed cartridges will set the region in your printer in any region that the cartridges are purchased. Because you can not buy the HP 74 black cartridge or cartridge three colors HP 75 in Europe, your printer can be reset to allow a new regionalization to happen with your European cartridges.

In order to reset the process of regionalization of the printer, you will need to call our technical helpline by phone.

HP Technical Support can be reached at the: 800-474-6836.

If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number.

  • Photosmart 3210: BLUETOOTH ADAPTER for PHOTOSMART 3210

I have an old Photosmart 3210 all-in-one printer still works fine.  I want to make it wireless using a bluetooth adapter.  The recommended is bt300.  Y at - it a newer version that would work? I don't think it sells more.

    Hi @SW-NewtownPA,.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are wondering if you can use a bluetooth adapter that is different than that of your printer. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I don't know if you can use another bluetooth adapter, but the manual indicates that the HP bt300 and HP bt400 work.

    Manual

Login your HP all-in-one are equipped with a USB port you can connect directly to a computer via a USB cable. You can also connect your HP all-in-one to a wired network. If you insert a bt300 HP or HP bt400 series adapter printer wireless Bluetooth® in the front USB port, Bluetooth® devices such as PDAS and camera phones can print to your HP all-in-one. Note in the rest of this chapter, the bt300 HP or HP bt400 series Bluetooth® wireless printer adapter is simply referred to as an HP Bluetooth® adapter.

To see if these adapters are still available, or if you can use other adapters, I would call the HP parts store.

To order HP computer and components of the printer parts by phone please call 1-800-227-8164 Monday-Friday 07:00 - 7:00 pm CST

Hope that answers your question. Thank you for posting!

  • Photosmart C309a does not illuminate and its power adapter 0957-2259 LED flashes.

I have a Photosmart all-in-in-one C309a.  A few days ago I started to receive messages from the ink system dailure, with the 0xc19a003e code.  I followed it to corresponding to a unit of printhead failed, so I ordered a replacement parts HP UK store on Friday, October 14, and it came today, Monday the 17th. Great rotation of the order of HP UK - thank you.

When I came to adapt to the new print head today, the printer does not illuminate.  No sign of the power of the power button, the buttons command or display.  The power adapter (model number 0957-2259) has a green LED which was (and still is) very quickly - flashing several times per second.  After that the power had been in the power adapter for a while (several tens of minutes I think, I wasn't timing it) noise started coming from the inside of the printer.  It is a kind of regular knocking and seems to echo the led blinks - but there was still no sign of power - including no movement of the ink/printhead assembly.

I tried to find suggestions online and I've seen a few posts on some websites that suggest that the adapter can be unloaded in some way - but they are almost exclusively on the PC.  Posts read as if there is some kind of capacitor which accumulates (too) charge and discharge it restores the adapter to the operating state.

I just reconnected the power again to see if there is no change.  After about 10 minutes, hit him coming back for a few moments then stopped.  I noticed that the LED on the AC Adpater was green fixed so I tried the power switch on the printer and it began to start.  But then hit him came back, the display panel started flashing white light and then complete disappearance of signs of life (other than sound knocking, which became intermittent, maybe 5-15 seconds each time).  The LEDs returned to.

And then after maybe 20-30 minutes with the power, the printer finally tried to start, the light of the AC adapter / CC has been stable and my computer thought that the printer was (briefly) online.

But the adapter light started blinking and now the printer behaves as if it has no power.

It seems to me that the symptoms is due to a problem with the AC adapter.  Then

    (A) that seems reasonable?

    (B) is there a way to release or otherwise 'fixing' the adapter?

or (C) is it better/more safe to replace the adapter?

    TIA,

    Chris

The adapter can be reset as described here.

  • my hp photosmart C4600 Printer series does not work via my bluetooth USB 2.0 Wireless printer adapter, I run windows 7

my hp photosmart C4600 Printer series does not work via my bluetooth USB 2.0 Wireless printer adapter, I run windows 7

He ran once before, one of my suggestions of solution was the coil (?)  was incorrectly, but don't know how to adjust it

    Hello
    (1) have you made changes before the start of this issue?
    (2) what is the exact error message/code?
A print spooler is software that temporarily stores the disk printing hard or in memory until the printer is ready to print. If you were expecting an abnormally long time to print a document, or if you see an error message about the print spooler, Spooler subsystem or spooler resources, you might need to change and then restart the print spooler service on your computer.

To do this, we recommend that you save your work and restart the computer to restart the print spooler service. If you do not want to restart the computer, try these steps.

To change or restart the print spooler service

You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

    a. click the Start button, Control Panel, click System and Maintenance and then click Administrative Tools.

    b. double-click on Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    c. right-click on the print spooler service and then click Properties.

    d. on the general tab, next to startup type, make sure that automatic is selected.

    e. If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Start and then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Your printer can connect to your Orange Live Box wireless (or wired like your computer).   If your computer is connected to the Orange Live Box via Ethernet, your router will allow communication even if the printer is wireless and the computer is connected.

I don't think you need the USB card.  Just run the wizard of wireless at the front of the printer configuration (configuration > network area) to connect wireless to your Orange Live Box, then download and run the software from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

  • You can adapt a photosmart printer no wireless to wireless?

I have a new laptop and don't like having to unplug the printer whenever I need to work on the laptop elsewhere.  Has anyone tried to convert the HP c4280 on a wireless printer?  It is a 3 year model.

Not normally. It can be done, but how it fits into the costs versus the benefits equation?

There are more than just a few things to make the changes that need to be done. In the case of the printer is different and the wireless module must be installed. It's a bit of work and expense vice to buy a wireless printer directly to the output.

    Greetings

I'll put up a HP Photosmart D7560 h with bluetooth printer and the printer menu does not work so I can not detect it on a Windows 7 HP Pavilion pc. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to solve this problem. I searched Google and the HP website and can't find anything about it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Joe,

You have an HP Bluetooth (like the HP bt500) adapter that is connected to the front USB port?

The specific model do not support Bluetooth built-in and need to use an external adapter, as you can find listed on page 20 of the following User Guide:

  • 6525 adapter black ink cartridge

I have a printer HP 6525.  I bought a pack of new ink cartridges and fits very well except black.  The black cartridge for installation is about twice the width of one supplied with the pack.  Y at - it an adapter for the smaller cartridges?  If yes where can I get one?  ramroc

    Hey @ramroc ,

Thank you for taking the time to post on the HP Forums today! Hope you enjoy the experience.

You use the HP Photosmart 6525 and you are having problems with the new ink bought because you have a black man who is smaller, then the slot in the transport.

What happened here most likely bought the HP 564 cartridges with the 5th black cartridge is a black picture for the Photosmart HP 7520. The black cartridge you want to use is the one with a Pentagon on the top, not a bow tie.

    Should resemble what your transport;

    Looks like that the transport of HP Photosmart 7520;

You want to make sure that you use the cartridge with the Pentagon not the bow tie.

Hope this makes things easier for you. Have a good!

  • Photosmart 7520: Photosmart 7520 and cartridge 564XL

My documentation of the printer, the output of SureSupply and 564XL box (black) cartridge all indicate that the 564XL black cartridge is compatible with my printer Photosmart 7520.   I took out the cartridge configuration and does not have the XL cartridge.

Returned to the store, bought a cartridge "564 Black" to discover that it is too big also.  This box also indicates that it will work with my printer.   He said a PHOTO so presumed it would fit in the regular slot for blacks.

I don't know what to buy.  I suck with two major inappropriate cartridges.   The cartridge door does not seem to adapt for larger cartridges.  What should I do?

Well, my dumb ass figured it out.

I had for some reason any thought the photo cartridge door installation had regular black.  My diagnosis on the HP printer also stated that the right cartridge was the photo cartridge.   No wonder!

Am now printing and just need to buy the replacement of the photo.

Well, I'm frelieved to know that I am dumb, not crazy

Thanks for your comments.  I was out to give up.

Peace to you and happy new year!

  • Photosmart plus 209: problem with compatible ink cartridge after moving to France UNITED Arab Emirates

I have a Photosmart B209 more and you just moved from the Arab Emirates UNITED to the France. In the style of France the 178 HP, designed for that printer ink cartridge is not available, and it seems that the cartridge HP 364 in France is the same size and adapts to the machine but wil lnot work. I get a message on the printer saying incompatible cartridge. I saw a post about this problem with instructions to contact HP and get a kind of rearmament of the country. I wasn't able to do that. Can someone help with this problem?

You will need to Contact HP to ask a "regionalization Reset." Do not charge for this, it is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works.  Webpage of HP on the subject is here.
