Photosmart 7520: Priinter ink

My HP7520 has 2 cartridges black ink and 3 others, but when I buy ink there is only 1 black in the box.

If I buy the same under the form of monkey (XL) does not match the location of the photo, just buy the small size and not the (XL)?

Hello

The printer do not have 2 black inks, have a black ink and ink a different photo.

As a sample, you can see link below (564 is for the USA, but which varies according to the regions):

  • Photosmart 7520: black ink

The smaller of the two blak ink cartridges (564).

I have been using my 7520 and replace cartridges if necessary.  Even though I have four new cartridges (including the 564 Black XL - I get an error message.  Than the smallest is 564 black ink.  May be the case.  So what?  That's why I th 564 XL Black installed - or so I thought!

I can print, however, I get the annoying "you have a cartridge not HP pirated or a cartridge empty" whenever I print.  Rule #1 the customer service - do not criminalise your client.

I removed the empty cartrdige, but can not print at all.

Rule #2 of the customer service: do not refuse service when your client does everything correctly (for example, in fact have four new cartridges installed)

I went to Staples and bought another set of ink (which inclouded all three colors and a cartridge 564XL).  However, as I noticed that I need the ordinary, not XL - I bought a box marked 564 black, believing that he would be the right cartridge.  However, after the return to the House and opening the box - I had a cartridge 564, but it is the double-wide (same width as the XL) which does not fit into the left most 564 black space.

Rule #4 of the customer service: don't waste my time

What is my next move? PS, I would like to print in ten minutes!

I've owned many HP printers (they seem to last a year or two).  The absence of a satisfactory response, the following printer I buy will be NOT by HP.

Article #6 of the customer service: you can annoy your customer only so many times before becoming a customer of your competitor.

    Thoughts?

    Hello

The narrow black is black ink but not black (confusing isn't it). It's the Photo ink cartridge (it has a camera on her symbol) and says clearly "Does NOT replace the HP 564 black" which is the biggest:

  • Photosmart 7520: Black ink not printing

Black ink is not printing, but the colors and black picture are are OK.  There has been no error messages and troubleshooting routine HP Diagnostics reported nothing wrong. I also ran the last alternative to remove the printheads, soak in water hot, drying, resettlement and using the builtin cartridge cleaning procedure, but still not back to print. Whemn firstg of failure occurred, it had about half the black ink remaining in the cartridge. After trying the procedure clean has nothing helps, I installed a new cartridge purchased about three weeks ago. I did the rest of cleaning, soak and then clean with this new cartridge. The printer is connected wireless to this computer Windows 7-64, and also sireless related to a desktop Vista 32 machine and a Vista 64 laptop machine. All computers have the black printing defect.

    Any ideas?

Is it possible to know that the purchase of a new printhead will solve the problem?

The machine is out of warranty.

I restarted the printer to try the suggestion of the copy, and he entered a period of 4 minutes of 'something'. Then he told me that he had a "problem with the printer or the ink system" then to turn off the machine and if the problem continues contact HP. (this is the first error message that I got through it all). I tried once more, with the same results, but not too long to 'do something '.

  • Photosmart 7520: Must the Photosmart HP 7520 TWO black ink cartridges (complete and installed) to work?

    Hello

I read a few threads where people are struggling with the question of black ink with this printer. These threads, it seems clear that HP didn't design this system very well, and I would tend to agree. Even if someone said I could find the cartridge (bowtie) smaller at Staples, I can't find it. Even if I could find it, I don't want to have 2 kinds of ink black to store all the time. And my printer does not print black with only a new XL Black 564 installed. Is there a setting I'm missing in the menu where I can choose the XL cartridge only? The manual is not clear on this, and I think it's something that should be clearly explained.

My question is simple, and please, one who answers, read my questions and do not provide a generic incomplete response and then put a little check mark 'Resolved' next to this problem. With 3 wires, that I read on this subject, the question NOT yet resolved or fully explained.

The printer may be used and black printing using only the right XL cartridge or do I need to have both complete and installed black cartridges to work? And a follow-up, the left cartridge (bowtie) should stay there so he works or can I remove it and keep filling the cartridge XL to go forward with the empty to the left slot. If you work for HP and you are reading this and 100% do not know the answer... call someone at HP who has designed this printer and know please let me know.

    Thank you!

The printer requires all cartridges having ink - they don't need to be full, but they all need to be installed and have adequate ink.  The thick black cartridge is pigmented black, mainly used for text and graphics on paper.  Thinner bowtie is the photo cartridge.  It contains dye black ink based and is designed for printing on photo paper.  Black pigmented ink is not compatible with the glossy photo media, black of the photo will be used in cases where the photo paper is selected in the driver or detected automatically.

The Photosmart 7520 has separated from the inks and printheads, with plumbing to connect.  All inks must be present to prevent air intake in the plumbing or the print heads and keep the printheads from clogging.  See here for more information on using ink.

  • No notification of ink - PhotoSmart 7520

I recently bought a PhotoSmart 7520, installed the software on my computer which uses Windows Vista and connected by WiFi.  Everything works fine, but the black ink ran out today and I had not received low ink message.  I have previously had a PhotoSmart printer older and always had warnings of low ink before he missed.  I looked for a setting to enable notifications in case they broadcast in some way off the coast, but could not find one.  Any ideas?

    Hi @RickDiamond,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that you do not get notifications of low ink with your HP Photosmart 7520 and I am happy to help you!

Please try to open the solution Center HP (HP printer on your desktop icon), click on your level of ink at the top of the screen. Then select Advanced settings, here you can choose either to display the ink immediately or only when printing alerts.

If those who have been unchecked, this would explain why you do not have the notifications.

I hope this helps and thanks for posting!

  • Photosmart Photosmart 7520 7520:364 cartridge

I recently inherited a Photosmart HP 7520.  I was really happy when I got it, easily implemented and he was soon facing up and running on my home network.  Then the black cartridge ran out.

I looked inside the printer and saw a sticker that says product no. CZ045B and 364 of HP ink cartridge.  I went online and ordered a 364 XL Black thought that would be my best option.  However, after receiving, he does not.  Stupidly, I put this to a poor experience and ordered a series of 364.  However, that does not fit either despite the fact that the packaging on both cartridges says that they are suitable for a Photosmart 7520!

After the forum, it seems that there are two types of 364 with a bow on them and those with a Pentagon.  However, I am a loser on how to decipher than the one I buy online or in my local staples (which were at a loss!).  Is it a kind of game of pot odds that HP invented rather like maps where you can buy 10 cartridges before finding the gold that actually fits?

I would like to know if there is a reasonable as having already dropped 20 pounds on useless cartridges entirely, I see that I would have been better to buy a new printer of someone else...

    Thank you.
