  I see you want to use the features of printing and scanning of your HP Photosmart C4280 all-in-One Printer on your computer Windows 10. I want to help you with this today. I'm happy to announce that the full feature software and drivers are available for your printer!  Just pilots have not yet been added under Windows 10 drop-down list on our Web site. However, I will you link to the driver package to install your printer. Please follow the steps below.

  If you use a USB connection between your computer and the printer please unplug this cable now.

  Step 1: Remove the printer:

  We want a clean slate to install your printer on the computer Windows 10. Therefore, I will you ensure that no trace of your HP Photosmart camera does not currently installed on your computer.

  1. click on the Start button

  

  2. type programs and features. If a search does not start automatically, you will need to type programs and features in the area of "Ask Me anything".

  3. click on programs and features to launch the window.

  4. in programs and features, will populate a list of the programs installed on your computer. Please scroll down and find your Camera HP Photosmart. If you see your HP Photosmart listed, click on it and choose Uninstall.

  5 follow the prompts on the screen to complete the uninstallation. Once the uninstall is complete successfully please close programs and features.

  6. then, click on the menu start of new

  16. close devices and printers. Please proceed to the next step.

  Step 2: Install the device:

  1. Please click here to download the full functionality of the software and the driver for your printer
  2. Once the download is complete, follow the prompts on the screen to install your printer
  3. If you use a USB cable connection, leave the disconnected cable until the installation program prompts you to connect

  Once installation is complete, please try printing and scanning.

  I've recently upgraded to Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) and print with my Photosmart C4280 very well (connected by USB). I followed all the steps listed on this webpage below to configure my scanner and uploaded the drivers directly on the Apple site:

  I was finally able to get the icon scan to appear in the printer (in System Preferences/printers & Fax) Brower window using the "Important witch hunt" on the site above, so then I tried and then click on "Open Scanner." But when I try to open the scanner via the system of preferences--> Print & Fax option, the preview option or the option of Capture of Image, I get a message that says "try to login to scan... "but it is never any more than that. I currently have this message for at least 5-10 minutes without change. I checked that the USB cable is connected to my computer and the printer, and the power cord is connected to the printer and a power outlet.

  Please help me to recover my scanner!

• Photosmart C4280: Incompatible device

  Hello.

  My Photosmart C4280 was previously works very well with Windows 10.  A new update has been installed a couple of days.   Now it is said that the Photosmart is an "Incompatible device" and will not open it.   I tried to reinstall the program three times to no evail.

  On the last seconds of the installation, an error message comes up saying the device is not compatible with the pc and the program could be harmful.

  Anyone have any ideas?

  When I try to install my Photosmart 309 has on Windows 7 64 bit on an iMac, PC partition, using the 13.0 installation disc, I get the following error messages:

  "This computer has no USB software necessary support to allow for the completion of an installation USB."

  "This computer doesn't have the necessary support of the USB hardware to allow for the completion of an installation USB."

  The same thing happens with the version 14.0.  If I just hook the printer without the installation disc, the drivers are installed and I get a few opportunities, but not the full capacity, for example, without the HP Solution Center.

  Strangely, I have a laptop MacBook Pro with a PC with Windows 7 32-bit partition and 309 installation disc has been installed successfully.

  Yes, I had the same problem too... it just kept installing the software and go round in circles telling me that I had no proper USB drivers.  It's a self-extracting .exe.

  So, in WIn 7, I downloaded a universal Extractor (freeware) (if you want to download live click on the Installer UniExtract; if you want to check the site for yourself before you download it, go to http://legroom.net/software/uniextract.)

  I downloaded the complete HP software - in my particular case, it is the file PS_AIO_06_C309g - m_Full_WIn_enu_140_175.exe, because I'm running a 32-bit version of Windows 7.  Looks like you already, but if you do not have to download software appropriate for your configuration.

  I extracted the file self-extracting .exe using the 3rd choice of radio button, (the choice of Setup installshield-no) and saved on a file easy to find on the desktop.

  The usbready.exe file must be in the file called "setup", down down the contents of this folder.  I just deleted, rather renamed, and the installation software has worked well.

  Yep, overall it's a good PITA bread... all for the love of the Intel USB, version 3.01 system check... Copyright 1998!  And if the hair on my iMac with USB devices... According to this little .exe file... they do not exist.

  I'm a little dubious as I have had this PC with Windows XP for almost eternity.  Don't remember exactly when I first bought. -So far - I've been perfectly happy with it and of course that all this activation of the license would have been made all these years.

  Over the years there has been many installs new add on hardware like printer, scan again, new monitor etc... also install dropbox, Skype, I-tune and it still all works OK...

  So why do I on my desk this permanent message telling me to activate within 3 days. In fact one day have left the warning that I was missing 2 days already...

  Also, the logo of Microsoft isn't one I recognize... It is a stylized Star 5 points... Is - this all true? Can I go ahead and follow the instructions...?

Personally, I think it might be a problem with ink cartridge, so you would recommend that you try the steps from the link I posted for you below. Also make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, avoiding bars power and surge protectors.

  Hi jbortohelp, it is regrettable that the issue has not been resolved. I'll give a few comments on what is my thought process:

  In terms of download and install another version of Windows Installer, it is compatible with all versions of Windows, unless an exception is specified. The latest version of Windows Installer is 4.5.

  You can try the workaround installation. You should see the 'recommended' and 'custom' installation options when loading the software. If you select "custom" install, try to install the driver to print only and exclude the rest. If the driver installation is successful, rerun the installation and what you want to install.

  If these steps do not work, I would follow the following instructions to perform a check of the computer system file:

  Go to the start menu and type "CMD" in the search bar. Now, at the top of the menu, you should see a shortcut to CMD. Right-click on it and click "Run as Administrator". If she asks you to administrative authorization, please activate the authorization.

  You should see open command prompt, which is similar to a program with a black background. Type this command and press ENTER after: sfc/scannow
