PhotoSmart D110: Scan failure, failure of HP Solutions Center

Well, I just moved to a new Lenovo PC Dell 6 years. The two are running win 10 64 with automatic updates. On the Lenovo printer funtion works fine, but I'm unable to scan. On the side of things, it seems that the HP Solutions Center is no longer installed HP for the MS side of things Windows think that there is no scanner installed.

I followed all the steps listed for troubleshooting including:

Turn things and turn it back on (duh!).

Running of the HPPSdr several times.

Uninstall and reinstall all the software on my PC HP.

Re-run the HPPSdr and do a full install (another).

All this without result.

I have also installed the HPAiO Remote app (which seems to be the replacement of HP for the center of solutions) and it also reports that "HP AiO Remote is not able to scan from the printer".

HP website reports that HP can't stand the printer.

So, my guess based on all this is that the latest driver HP deleted the scan from the Desktop feature. My inner conspiracy theorist think it's just a conspiracy to get me to buy a new printer. My Inner Economist think that HP does not want to spend more money on an "obsolete" product and left scanning support to get me to buy a new printer. My realistic interior think some dope just forgot to cut and paste the code analysis functionality in Win 10 driver and this minor oversight through QC.

Did somebody solve this problem?

  • I have a Photosmart Premium c410 series. My hp Solution Center does not work, I can't scan.

    Operating system is Windows Vista, the error message says to reinstall the printer using the installation disc.  (I did several times).  Really need to scan, but don't know how.  States of printer to the computer.  This is not the case.  my hp Solution Center does not work, I can not scan and I have tried several times to download a driver but it will not work.  I have a very frustrated by this and need someone to fix it please

    Would you please provide the full model number? For example C410a. Some models are slightly different from each other and I want to assure you to give you specific information. How can I find my model number?

    Regarding the error, I checked and the following instructions should work on all models of the C410. The following instructions are for the "cleansing" or "cleaning" your computer HP printing software. This should allow you to perform a new installation of your printer and should fix your mistakes.

    Of the Original installation CD:

    1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup

    2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open

    3 open the Util folder

    4 open the CCC folder

    5. run the L4uninstall.bat

    6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

    7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

    8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    9 download drivers and full software features

    10. run the download to reinstall the printer

    If the software has been downloaded and extracted to your system:

    I have a problem of scanning, the work Hp c5180 printer only. I reinstalled several times the complete software but the solution Center, do not install it; Scan doctor fails the test Hp Solution Center and next steps. Scanning with WIA is OK, not HP Twain. I removed the software "all in One 8.0" burt when I reinstalled the software driver, the installation menu shows that all programs are already installed except the first element "ask drivers."

    Thanks , but I solved it!

    As I suspected, the problem was HP OCR do not install with the complete software as seen and marked as already installed. It is very difficult to find it on the installation of the software, because ocr.exe is not named with the proper name.

    There is no way to remove left overs previously OCR uninstal also with registry CC Ceaner, microsoft fix, uninstall software, etc...

    The solution is to copy on the subfolder "docproc" on the folder of installation of office in 7Z files... recent dimensions of biggest temporary folder (windows + r and command %tmp%) and run docproc.exe. This is to install the OCR.

    The PDF is now saved on HP C5180 correctly the personal analysis file. WOW!

  • Failure of wireless solution Center

    Solution Center does not connect to D 110 series wireless printer.  I can print from other programs wireless.  Solution Center connects via a USB connection. Windows 7.  I can't find the original software disk

    How did you initially installed the printer first, USB or wireless?

    Uninstall the HP software. When you reinstall the drivers and full software features, select Wireless. After this download and install and you print, then go to plug in the USB cable.

  • HP Photosmart Software Suite from hpqdirec.exe not Solution Center

    recently installed the HP Photosmart Software Suite on my Officejet 4215xi all-in-one sisters.  Everything seemed to go well, except that when I open you'd think is supposed to be the center of Solution instead it tries to start hpqdirec.exe.  And we get a message that hpqdirec.exe is not found.

    The Director is associated with following printer provided with the printer.  In my view, replace the Director in the following Photosmart Solution Center.

    His machine is very old & literally, it takes hours to install this software.  I'd rather not have to run the uninstall utility, remove the HP software & all over again.

    Is there a way to get the application to point to the executable file of the center of solutions instead of hpqdirec.exe without uninstalling & reinstalling the suite?

    Unfortunately, it seems that you have an incomplete installation.

    Try using the brush included in the CD or download.

    Of the Original installation CD:

  • Photosmart e-all-in-one B110a: HP Solution Center does not open

    This problem began in late December 2015.  HP Solution Center worked fine until then.

    Now the printer works well, but the HP Solution Center does not open, so can not scan to computer or check ink levels.  Tried to uninstall the KB3132372 update [as suggested in this forum] and then everything works.

    However, the update (KB3132372) maintains the re-setup and hit the Centre of HP solutions again.

    Is there something wrong with the KB update that disrupts the HP driver?

    Is that what I can do through a permanent solution? (other than uninstalling KB3132372 immediately prior to scanning)

    Thank you.  Problem solved.  I admit I was a little uncomfortable uninstall security updates - but everything is OK now.

  • Photosmart 5515 is not recognized by the solution Center

    I installed an HP Photosmart 5515 printer on my HP computer.  I have a USB connection and am on a home network.  All computers can print correctly.  I can't get the center of HP solutions to recoginize the new printer and can not find the file msi, it needs.  Can you help me?

    Hi charger123,

    The printer uses a newer version of the software, and your solution center of older printers will not see this printer. You should have an icon on your desktop like the one below which is the new center of solution for this version of the software. Let me know if you need assistance?

  • HP Photosmart Premium C410b disconnected in the HP Solution Center

    My printer is showing continuously until as disconnected in the HP Solution Center.  I tried a number of things in this forum to sort out and spent several hours on this issue, but without success.

    I am running Windows 7 (64-bit), and the printer is connected wireless to the network.  Print to the printer works, but there is no connection inwards for scanning, etc.

    I have:

    -uninstalled and reinstalled the software (including work around the bug in the downloaded installation program that looks for files on a CD drive path rather than where they were extracted to);

    -connected to the interface html to address local IP and run network test on the printer, to confirm that it is properly connected.

    -added to the firewall exceptions for all ports and HP applications referred to in the http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01856593 and even tried to add an exception to coverage for all incoming & outgoing of the MAC address of the printer ports.

    If I disable the firewall and then reboot the PC then Solution Center connects to the printer, but disconnects once the firewall is rebooted.

    The firewall is part of Panda Global Protection 2013 safety.  There seems to be a firewall issue, but anything that can open was.

    I had the same problem intermittently with my firewall previous, although related to the firewall it seems to be a problem with the Solution Center software.

    I'm generally an advanced home user and searched this forum, but have now run out of ideas on this one

    Well, I wanted to check just to be sure, so that we can eliminate the easy things first. But if you think it might be a firewall, that may be all right, I'm going to write below the information you will need to open all those printing and scanning of ports.

    You will need to either contact the supplier of the router or the firewall client to open them if you don't already know how do it yourself as it varies from one to the other.

  • Alignment series Photosmart D110 - & Scan problem - impossible to print, copy or scan.

    Recently, I've made a few copies and then I replaced my color cartridge and when I go to perform the alignment, the alignment page does not seem to be correct and when I go to scan the alignment page, it is not recognized.  I can't print, scan or copy anything.   I have a Mac and have never had any problems with this printer for 2 years.  Help, please.  Thank you.

  • Series HP photosmart d110. scanned photos appear well on pc, but on TV are missing, colors, etc.

    We have scanned in photos and can see perfectly on our PC.  When we try to view them on the TV, however, they lack of colors and pixels.  We use the SanDisk Photo Album to display.   The SanDisk device works fine for the display of the photos that have been scanned NOT inside.  What we're doing wrong?

    Catherine, looks that you encounter some problems scanning on your computer. To start have you tried completely removing the softwware and put it back in place for drivers on the HP site downloads? Here's how I'd do...

    First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it (it's important). Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

    In the menu START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl + A, and press DELETE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

    Download this file and if the option to use the full setting software.

    PS I recommend to try installing the printer via the USB cord and an Ethernet cord if this does not work wireless, to test methods of communication. Let me know which, if any, works.

  • Photosmart vulnerabilities scan

    My Photosmart B110 is the best printer I've ever had and I'm running it from a PC with Windows XP Home Edition.  The printer gives excellent suffered a print quality and used to give a great sweep feature until it degrades and become useless.

    The first sign of degradation was that I couldn't run a scan of the TouchSmart printer screen, from the HP Solution Center.

    Then, the status of ink on the PC display became intermittent and now says always something like "State of ink not available at this time."

    Then I had trouble getting a scan even from the HP Solution Center.  The scan can be launched and the scanned image is displayed as it is via the USB connection.  But only the beginning of the image seems to be transmitted.  The Solution Center scan program crashes and the printer seems to think that it has completed the analysis.  To have another chance, I have to complete all the HP process using the Task Manager.

    I followed the advice of HP for the analysis of the problems - stop printer and try again - stop PC and try again - reinstall the HP software and try again.  None of them solved the problem.  I reinstalled the software from the CD that came with the printer.

    Impression was very good overall, which makes me think that this is not a problem of communication.  Or at least it is not a problem of PC to the printer, but there is perhaps a problem with the printer to the PC.

    It may well be for a couple of resons, either your port is damaged or there could be a problem with your cable. Try to connect with another cable and see if the problem is resolved
