pilots and SCXI?

Hello

I have a SCXI-1000 chassis, with a 1100 unit, a unit of 1520 scxi and a 1600 scxi. Now when I connect, I get only a "USB not recognize unit."

I installed 9.1 OR DAQmx and LabVIEW 9.01 32bits, need more? I have never tried to use before SCXI.

I got Windows7 64 bit.

Thanks in advance.

For these devices, it is not currently planned to add support for 64-bit operating systems.  This is due to incompatibilities between these older devices USB design and implementation of USB in 64-bit version of Windows.

Kind regards

    Hi all

I had problems to understand the program to someone. Could someone of you help out me?

These programs are written in Labview 6.x and integrated in a software, which can detect the DAQ (PCI-6052E) card, a series of input modules (SCXI-1520) and then collect the data from the input modules simutanously.

    Issues related to the:

    1. how to make a menu drop-down list all the modules detected, and then the customer can choose between them? Looks like the former programmer do that with property node...

    2. now, we have a new input module (SCXI-1530). However, the software says it can only suppor SCXI-1531 and cannot detect SCXI-1530, although MAX can do. The difference between SCXI-1530 (4 channels) and SCXI-1531 (8 channels) is the number of channels. It is possible to modify the software and make it compatible with SCXI-1530?

    All ideas are appericiated.

    Thank you

    Hi oly.

You're right, aid for SCXI Information.vi does not have the types of module for SCXI-1530/1531. The function C (SCXI_Get_Module_Info) in the Start Menu > all programs > National Instruments > NOR-DAQ > traditional NOR-DAQ function reference Help contains 48: SCXI-1531; 50: SCXI-1530.

    Hello

The drivers that you need for the ID of material are the following.

    JMicron card reader driver.

    HP 3D DriveGuard.

    Pilot the IMEI.

Regarding the audio via the docking station, try reinstalling the IDT Audio software at the following link.

  • How can I filter the noises of thermocouple using a TC-2095 and SCXI - 1102c?

    Hi all

I currently have four TC - 2095 s connected to the SCXI - 1102c inside an SCXI-1001 chassis cards. These thermocouples are floating and I get a good amount of noise (400 Hz 3 phases and same 60 Hz noise) when we turn on some equipment such as fans, and fans. Using this current set up, how can I filter the noise? Or I would need to put in place a new hardware configuration (e.g., the SCXI-1102 cards)?

    Hi RALoo,

The 1102 C has a lowpass filter with a cutoff at 10 kHz frequency, so you will not be able to filter into the material with your current configuration.

Your first option is to use a software filter.  LabVIEW has several functions that do this. More information can be found here: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361J-01/lvanls/filter_vis/

The second option would be to change to SCXI 1102 cards as you suggest.  The low-pass filter of the 1102 was a cut-off adjustable to 2 Hz frequency, which will stop the noise of 400 and 60 Hz don't affect your readings.

  • Problems VeriStand 2011 RT and SCXI-1540

    Good afternoon

As in the topic, we have problems with our card module SCXI-1540 that we use to acquire a mixed selection of RVDT and resolvers.

Specifically, we have our facility on Veristand 2011 on a target of RT who has a device custom control map SCXI chassis PXI-1050 and the NI PXI-6221 card, everything is fine but every now and then the map 1540 suddenly start showing a rolling measure of angle for resolution programs.

By checking with an oscilloscope, resolvers entries are good, but we notice that when the event occurs, the excitement somehow pass set 5 kHz to 10 kHz and even by the cancellation of the deployment and redeploy the project and verify that the property node DAQmx channel used to set the frequency of excitation is the correct setting of 5 kHz and does not return an error There is no way to get the channel back to 5 kHz, and it remains stuck at 10 kHz. The only way to be able to control the frequency of excitation again is through a power cycle of the RT/chassis.

We checked also by adding debug code in the custom feature event is the channel of sin or cos channel starts showing a rolling measure voltage so our measure of angle begins to roll too.

So far, this behaviour seems to have manifested only with programs of resolution that we mainly tested those and synchronize us excitement between a sin / cos pair.

    Please notify

I just noticed that I never gave a solution for this.

The problem was current flyback to another causing system glitches of EMI on the lines of resolvers somehow mess with map of 1540, which essentially stopped decoding of the resoulvers of entry correctly, I added a Reset custom device close the file and that fixed the not being able to get out of the excitement of 10 Khz on the redeployment. However the final fix was adding flyback diodes to the tokill power system high seeds. So beware of your configuration as module SCXI-1540 cards seems to be sensitive to such events.

  • Calibration of the scxi-1520 and scxi-1314

I have a SCXI-1000 chassis with the scxi-1520 module and the scxi-1314 terminal block and I was wondering how to do a calibration on it?  What I have to send back them to OR for calibration or I can send it to a local company to perform the calibration?  If I can send it to a local provider, what the procedure would be to calibrate?  According to the manual of the module scxi-1314, everything we do is check the resistance and for the scxi-1520, it performs internal calibration.  Is this correct?

    Ron

    Hi Ron,

You can send them to OR get these calibrated, or you may have a local company. Manual calibration procedures are available herefor many of our products online. Here are the procedures of calibration of 1314and 1520.

Other issues on the calibration should be directed to ni.com/calibration.

  • How to remotely manage the tasks of acquiring data and SCXI modules?

Hi, I have a system consists of a PCI4070, a PCI6024E, several SCXI1102 and a SCXI1130. I wonder if I can remotely view/create data acquisition tasks and configure SCXI modules. My PC and PC host of these devices are in the same LAN, I tried to create new ones in the remote systems to MAX, but he found no material. What should I do? Thank you very much.

    Please note:

A remote system (in MAX) refers to a real-time target that can be managed or configured on the network, while a network device does not run a real-time operating system. Remote systems are not the same as network devices. A network device is a device that is accessible via an Ethernet or wireless. These devices can be accessed by multiple computers and not to run a real-time operating system.

For your application, you can consider using VI server to run a VI to the driver for your devices.

  • DAQmx and SCXI-1160 with 'DAQmx switch Open Relays.vi '.

    Hello

I use DAQmx to pass the baton on a map of SPDT 16 SCXI-1160. When I run the 'DAQmx switch Open Relays.vi' with the entry "ch0/SC1Mod1 / ' I think the relay normally open position 'NO '. But this is not the case, the relay is in the position of the NC. Here are the steps I do a simple VI.

    1. define the topology of the 'SC1Mod1' to '16/1160-inverter.

    2. call the 'DAQmx switch Open Relays.vi' with the string "/ SC1Mod1/ch0.

    3. then I take a physical measurement, with a multimeter on the SCXI-1324 terminal block and the relay is in position "NC".

    4. If I run the "DAQmx get relay switch Position" he's back "Open"!

Is this the good behavior, and if so can someone explain the logic behind it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Michel

    Hey Michael,

Sorry, I didn't know that you were actually able to control the relay and you receive just the reverse logic. To answer your question, on the SCXI-1160 module, there are three connections for each channel: COM, NO pine and pine of NC code. Reset, COM is connected to the spindle of the NC. When you issue a command to OPEN channel 0, COM will stay connected to the NC pin, even if the software indicates now that the PIN is open. When you issue a command NARROW-gauge 0, COM will be now connected to pin number and not on the spindle of the NC.

A better way to think of it, is to focus only on the relationship between COM and no. pine. When you send a BLANKET order, this connection between COM and no. will be open. When you send a CLOSE command, the connection between COM and no. will be closed. Consult this manual for a visualization of how this switch is set up: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/320513b.pdf. Refer to page 2-9 and 2-14 of this manual for pinout.

  • The differences in code main PXI and SCXI

The similarity is code written for a target SCXI and PXI? Is it reasonable to say that if you are comfortable PXI targeting devices, that knowledge is transferable to SCXI. We are planning to move to this platform and I was wondering that maybe the inpact on my code.

Secondly, PXI is newer than the SCXI? It seems to me that you can do most of the things SCXI on a PXI system. I must be wrong about this, otherwise why would there be combined chassis?

    much thanks in advance

The big difference is that the channel names naming conventions are different because SCXI adds another level of multiplexing for your i/o devices.

Yes PXI is newer than the SCXI.

PXI is a hardened verson of the PCI which the standard bus, you will find in PC towers. With the right interface, you can do DMA and no matter what else supported by the PCI bus.

SCXI is a bus structure that allows the addressing of points of e/s and their routing to an A/D converter. For centuries, this A/D converter has been on a devices PCI or PXI (which also has the logic of selection SCXI contrlled) but recently the A/D converter and the control logic were placed a device USB PCI or PXI are not required in all cases SCXI longer.

  • measures of thermistor using modules SCXI-1102 and SCXI-1303

    Hello

    I have a 1303 SCXI front-end module connected to an SCXI-1102 module

I read the article detailing how to remove bias and pullup resistors to activate measures of RTD/thermistor on the 1303. What did not mention article was the case plug the excitation source, and what is the best source of operating voltage (normal etc., high precision)

I was wondering where I can find this information, also, I could do several types of measure on the same 1303? I have an analog voltage to a flow meter, and I would like to put it on the same module as the Thermistors

    Thank you!

    Kevin

    Kevin,

The pulling up of resistors to connect to + 5 V internally.  If the values are not suitable for your application, you can use those.  It does give you much flexibility but.  The 1303 does not give you any other access to any source of current or voltage through screw terminals.

Pull upward and pull down resistors are networks of resistors Series 9-pin SIP. So you can edit them in blocks of 8 channels for joint measures.

  • Name of the traditional model DAQ and SCXI-1530

    Hi all

I'm using Labview 6.1 and 7.1 of DAQ traditional. I'm working on a system with a data acquisition card (PCI-6052E) and several SCXI (1520, 1530) cards. The SCXI cards are installed correctly because MAX can detect all.

I want to do a program with traditional DAQ that allows to detect all SCXI cards and Show names of model on the front panel.

I found in Tradtional DAQ, there is a VI entitled "Get SCXI information", which returns the types of models of SCXI cards, something like, 50, 51...

I found in the help file on 'Get SCXI Information' VI there are some kind of configuration file saying 51 stands for SCXI-1520. What does the acronym for 50?  Where can I find the full configuration file or can somehow I change it? As 51 means something else...

Any ideas are much appreciated... Thanks to you all!

Driver Detective is a waste of space and time and provides no useful information. It can even registry optimizer tool. They all snake oil.

  • Tecra S1 - pilot and DVD issues

    Hello

I recently bought this laptop which had a few software bugs from hangover of the previous user. He advised the DVD player was not working, but at the beginning it worked for me very well so I reinstalled windows to have a fresh start. As a reasonably inexperienced computer person I did not save the drivers so once I installed windows, I realized that I could not even on the net with the tecra install the drivers then I tried to burn the disk, but found the dvd player would not read (the dvd player has a yellow light that don't come out and when I put any disk in) (, I hear it running but it does not read it?) My next option was to attempt a flash drive with the top drivers but the tecra does not recognize either.

I realize that I have many problems, but if someone could give me at least some advice it would be appreciated.

    Thank you
    Len

I hope I understand you well, but you have only one problem with this DVD? Have you tried DVDs from other manufacturers?

The drivers, you can download from the Toshiba site. You will also find installation instructions. Use this list as the software installation order and the recommended driver.
