PIX of VPN in several subnets

We have two remote sites and a framework to our parent company

the tunnel works very well between us and our remote offices, but they cannot connect to the internet application server and oracle on the parent through site framework

I have roads on our internal to the remote site router and our 520 pix for the address of the frame. How configure you routing for frame internal? 520 PIX can ping servers and network frame

This configuration is correct to allow both subnets on each side of the VPN tunnel to communicate with each other.

    Hello Jay,

I went during the configuration of the two aircraft and noticed a few errors on the configuration of the SAA. Details here:

    (1) the access list configured for VPN traffic is named ACL_STSVPN-US, however the address for correspondence configured on the map encryption uses a group of objects name instead:

address for correspondence card crypto 10 CM - STSVPN STSVPN-US

You must change this setting to avoid any problems with the negotiation of traffic:

no matching address card crypto 10 CM-STSVPN STSVPN-US

10 CM-STSVPN crypto card matches the address ACL_STSVPN-US

    (2) you also have the same error on the configured vpn filter. However, you could not use the access list ACL_STSVPN-United States for VPN filter since the ASA will filter incoming packets only. In this case the appropriate ACL will be configured for remote network (ROUTER) to local networks (ASA). It will look something like this:

access-list VPN_filter extended permitted ip object-STSVPN-US group LOCAL STSVPN

access-list VPN_filter extended permitted ip object-STSVPN-US group LOCAL STSVPN

    Group Policy attributes GrpPolicy-STSVPN-US
    VPN-Filter VPN_filter value

Keep in mind that the VPN filter is in the rules that determine whether to allow or deny packets of data tunnelees coming through the device security, based on criteria such as the source, destination, and Protocol address address. If you want to use the IP Protocol, the filter will not make a difference.

    (3) group 14 of the PFS is configured on the router crypto map, but not on the SAA. You need to even add it in the card encryption ASA or remove it from the router.

    ASA:

    card crypto 10 CM-STSVPN set group14 pfs

    Router:

crypto CM card. 30 VPN ipsec-isakmp

    No group14 set pfs

Hope this help you to raise the tunnel,

    Luis.

  • PIX with VPN to Checkpoint with overlapping subnets

I have a client with a PIX runs code 6.3.

They need establish an IPSec Tunnel for one of its customers with a Checkpoint firewall.

Both organizations use 10.1.0.0/16 and I'd like to nat to 10.180.0.0 Home Office 16 and the remote client to 10.181.0.0.

The document on the site Web of Cisco PIX and VPN concentrators is less useful. I don't think the text describing the image is correct.

Help with ACL and static NAT is greatly appreciated.

Apologies, should have asked. Which office has the pix and the control point. I write this as if the two ends were firewall pix so that's fine and we can see if that helps.

  • several subnets by VLANS and ports link

    Hello

    I need some clarification.

Our iSCSI SAN storage (Dell MD3660i0 requires a separate subnet by port.

We require paths multiple access and balancing in VMware.

To achieve this in ESXi 5.1 we need binding ports... BUT the binding of ports is supported only if the vmks are all in the SAME domain in accordance with these two KBs broadcasting

VMware KB: Considerations for use binding software iSCSI ports in ESX/ESXi

VMware KB: When the use of several VMkernel ports with port required to access the storage of two or more tables on different br...

OK... probably so I simply put my all subnets in ISCSI storage in one VLAN and everything will be ok (one VLAN is after all a broadcast domain, both are stuff of L2)... This would respond to the requirements of KBs... If VMware means "area of distribution" in the true sense of the term.

So my question is can you configure the port in this way binding? It is supported by VMware?

VMware has come back to me (in fact the author of one of the kb/s I've referenced)

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalID=2038869

He confirmed that the terminology used in the KB is misleading and "broadcast domain", it actually means "subnet" so not layer 3 layer 2.

This means that you can NOT have multiple subnets in a broadcast domain (VLAN) AND use the SW iSCSI port binding.

    BUT

He told me (he is very familiar with the Dell MD3660i iSCSI kit), you don't have to have binding of ports to achieve several Multipathing and load balancing. If you have a requirement for several subnets of your iSCSI SAN provider then just create multiple vmks on different subnets, and DO NOT make the port binding. The fact that they are on different subnets will be enough to achieve the multiple paths

It updates the KB to make this much clearer.

    I hope this helps someone

  • VPN Tunnel access to several subnets ASA 5505

    Greetings,

We spent a little time trying to configure our ASA 5505 in order to TUNNEL into several different subnets.  Subnets include 192.168.1.0 / 192.168.2.0 / 192.168.10.0

Someone is about to review this setup running and indicate where we have gone wrong.   When I connect via the VPN Client, I can access the 192.168.1.0 network, no problem.  But fail to reach the other two.   Thank you very much.

Output from the command: 'show running-config '.

    I see two problems:

    1. your ASA has not an interior road to the Incas inside networks. You must add:

    Route inside 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0

    Route inside 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0

.. .specifying your gateway address of these networks.

    2. the statement "access-list standard vpn_splitTunnelAcl permit 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0" sends only a route for 192.168.1.0/24 to your customer. You need to add entries for the other two networks.

  • I need VPN gateway to gateway with NAT for several subnets, RV082

I have a pair of RV082 routers and I would like to configure a gateway to gateway VPN tunnel, as described in a book, "How to configure a VPN tunnel that routes all traffic to the remote gateway," (name of file Small_business_router_tunnel_Branch_to_Main.doc).  I followed this recipe book and found that my while the main office has internet connectivity, the branch subnet is not an internet connection.

Routing behaves as advertised, where all traffic goes to the seat.  However, the 192.168.1.0 subnet in the branch receives no internet connectivity.  I read in other posts that the main router will provide only NAT for the local subnet, not the Management Office subnet.  Is it possible to configure the RV082 router to provide NAT for all subnets?

If this is not the case, what product Cisco will provide connectivity VPN Tunnel as well as the NAT for all subnets?  The RV082 can be used as part of the final solution or are my RV082s a wasted expense?

Here is the configuration that I had put in place, (real IP and IKE keys are false).

  • PIX 515 - several subnets

Can I have a 28 and one allocated 24 times in a PIX 515e? My current setup is configured for the 28 and I would like to keep this address space, just as it is and then add the 24 if possbile.

    Thank you!

    Hello

I think that the solution is easier than you think. You can use your new address range with nat, global and static without actually set it up on the physical interface. In this way, you can use your new address space. Your ISP should route your new network to your PIX outside interface. That's all.

    Best regards

Hugh, sure you can classify based on the whole conversation, but you don't have to do but be certainly provide assessments.

To sum up the shrinking global problems, the main objective was to ensure configuration VPN RA on the PIX501 has been corrected.

    1. we have enabled NAT - T on the firewall - even if it wasn't the question, but need it either it should you RA other places - travseral NAT VPN sensitizes the firewall on the other ends NAT devices - here is some good information on NAT - T for reference in the future

    http://www.Microsoft.com/technet/community/columns/cableguy/cg0802.mspx

    2. we fixed the VPN-POOL/28 network as well as the access list and acl to be coherent crypto sheep.

Here is a link for future reference with many PIX configuration scenarios

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/HW/vpndevc/ps2030/prod_configuration_examples_list.html

Finally, your only question remaining, we can say is purely isolated with the customer software vpn and MAC machine.

You could maybe try a different version of the client in the MAC, or also look at the release notes for the open caveats to avoid cisco cleint managing versions and MAC versions if there are problems.

    Concerning

  • PIX of VPN to Pix does not allow navigation from one end.

    Hello

We went an office of a router to connect to the internet (do Nat) our Pix VNP company. Now from this office, I can go through all our corporate network, but I can't browse them from our corporate network. I read a few cisco docs and I installed WINS, still no luck.

Technicians from the isp for this office recommended disable Nat on this router (its doubly from). I have to change this Office Ip address external PIX and the default gateway to match any Ip subnet, they give me.

This change will affect our current VPN IKE and IPSEC policies and connection to that office?

    Thank you

    Mario Cabrejo

    Network engineer

You will need to use an external (visible ip internet) on the external interface of the PIX and disable the NAT on the router. You have to re-create the tunnels they will point to a new ip address and not the router.

    Hope this helps

    Mike

Setup looks quite right, assuming that you only test connectivity to Server A (123.123.123.3) as it is the only one configured.

I suggest that you make 'clear xlate' and 'clear the arp' and test again. I would check to see if your modem has the ARP entry for 123.123.123.3 and it should point to the ethernet0 PIX MAC address.

  • Cisco VPN Client behind PIX 515E,-> VPN concentrator

I'm trying to configure a client as follows:

The user is running Cisco VPN Client 4.0. They are behind a 6.1 PIX 515E (4), and I need to connect to a VPN concentrator located outside of our network. We use PAT for address translation. As far as I know, to allow ipsec through Firewall 1 tunnel, I need to upgrade the pix to 6.3 and activate "fixup protocol esp-ike.

Is there another way to do this? I am also curious to know how much more easy/better this will work if we were dealing with pptp.

You don't necessarily need to fixup protocol esp-ike active. The remote Hub there encapsulation NAT - T enabled so that clients behind the NAT can run?

  • PIX: Cisco VPN Client connects but no routing

    Hello

We have a Cisco PIX 515 with software 7.1 (2). He accepts Cisco VPN Client connections with no problems, but no routing does to internal networks directly connected to the PIX. For example, my PC is affected by the IP 172.16.2.57 and then ping does not respond to internal Windows server 172.16.0.12 or trying to RDP. The most irritating thing is that these attempts are recorded in the system log, but always ended with "SYN timeout", as follows:

    2009-01-06 23:23:01 Local4.Info 217.15.42.214% 302013-6-PIX: built 3315917 for incoming TCP connections (172.16.2.57/1283) outside:172.16.2.57/1283 inside: ALAI2 / 3389 (ALAI2/3389)

    2009-01-06 23:23:31 Local4.Info 217.15.42.214% 302014-6-PIX: TCP connection disassembly 3315917 for outside:172.16.2.57/1283 inside: ALAI2 / 3389 duration 0:00:30 bytes 0 SYN Timeout

    2009-01-06 23:23:31 Local4.Debug 217.15.42.214% 7-PIX-609002: duration of disassembly-outside local host: 172.16.2.57 0:00:30

We tried to activate and deactivate "nat-control", "permit same-security-traffic inter-interface" and "permit same-security-traffic intra-interface", but the results are the same: the VPN connection is successfully established, but remote clients cannot reach the internal servers.

I enclose the training concerned in order to understand the problem:

I join all the details of the cryptographic algorithms because the VPN is successfully completed, as I said at the beginning. In addition, routing tables are irrelevant in my opinion, because the inaccessible hosts are directly connected to the internal LAN of the PIX 515.

    Thank you very much.

can you confirm asa have NAT traversal allow otherwise, activate it in asa and vpn clients try again.

PIX / ASA 7.1 and earlier versions

    PIX (config) #isakmp nat-traversal 20

PIX / ASA 7.2 (1) and later versions

Whe I get show crypto isakmp his every thing looks fine just when I ping station 2 St1, but after that if I erase isakmp its and trying them to ping station 1 ST 2 show crypto isakmp his returns with 'no active SA' why?

    Do 2 things:

    1. the life set up under the IKE policy is 1000. Bring to 86400. As the life of the Isakmp Security Association must be greater than the life of the Ipsec Security Association.

    2. make sure to separate for crypto ACL and the NAT ACL lists 0. you use same access-list "traffic." Create another identical access list and use it separately as Crypto ACL on both sides.

    For example on PIX2:

ip 15.15.15.0 expanded list access traffic allow 255.255.255.0 10.10.10.0 255.255.255.0

Access extensive list ip 15.15.15.0 VPNACL allow 255.255.255.0 10.10.10.0 255.255.255.0

NAT (inside), access list 0 traffic

crypto map crymap 1 corresponds to the address VPNACL

Then check and validate the results.

  • Cisco Pix 515 VPN problems

    Hi all

    Here's my problem, I have 2 PIX 515 firewall...

I'm trying to implement a VPN site-to site between 2 of our websites...

Two of these firewalls currently run another site to site VPN so I know who works...

I can't do the second site to the site to launch the VPN... when looking on the syslogs I get refused packages...

    Protected networks are:

    172.16.48.0/24 and 172.16.4.0/22

If I try to ping from the Cisco (172.16.48.4) to 172.16.4.5, I get the following syslog:

    2 sep 02 2008 08:59:47 106001 172.16.48.4 172.16.4.5 incoming TCP connection doesn't deny from 172.16.48.4/1231 to 172.16.4.5/135 SYN flags on the interface inside

It seems that the tunnel is trying to initiate, but something is blocking the internal traffic to penetrate through the VPN.

Don't know what that might be, the other VPN are working properly.

    Any help would be great...

I enclose a copy of one of the configs...

Let me know if you need another...

    no road inside 172.16.4.0 255.255.252.0 172.16.48.1 1

Remove this path should you get. Please rate if it does. Similarly, if you have a road similar to the other end, it should be deleted as well.
