Pixels and the differences in size of document in Illustrator than Photoshop

Why the pixels of a project in illustrator is different from that of the same proportion of pixel of a project in Photoshop?  Example: A project can in Illustrator can be a work plan of 950px X 950px in 12 inch and Photoshop, this same pixel ratio will be 4 3/4 in.

The sovereigns in Illustrator are always with a fixed rate of 1 inch = 72 pixels (72 dpi), you can check this by right-clicking the rule and selecting inches or pixels and you will see that 950 px 13.9 inches and 12 inches will not be as you said.

The ratio of the rulers in Photoshop depends on the resolution of the ppi of the image defined by the user in the Image Size dialog box. If choose Image > Image size and select a resolution of 72 pixels/inch (ppi) will correspond to the ratio of the rulers in Photoshop Illustrator. If you set it to something else, that they will not, in your case with an image with dimensions of 4.75 inches in Photoshop, the resolution will be 200 dpi in order to contain 950 pixels per side.

When you save an image from Photoshop, which contains metadata, it contains information about the size of the document in inches and pixels. Illustrator will place these images with the size of inches not the pixels in the areas shown on the leaders of the Illustrator, internally, but the image will contain all the pixels, as indicated next to the IPP in the control under the main menu bar when the image is selected. These internal (real) image pixels will be used when printing, and when you zoom in on the screen to display the image. Also if you are copying from Photoshop and paste into Illustrator, he also will stick with the size of the po and not pixels (at least this is how it works with CS5 on Windows)

If the placed image is without metadata Illustrator will always place it assuming that 72 px = 1 inch (72 dpi). You can check if in Photoshop to save an image using save for Web and devices and choose None for the metadata.

  • free vSphere Datastore space and the differences in size of VMDK

I am listing and sizes VM reports and the amount of space they take on their related data storage. I used PowerCLI to capture this information and have issued the following command to retrieve the data store size and free space: Get-data store. Returns a name, quality and free space. Then, I want to see the size of the VMDK on these data stores using the: Get-Datastore. Get - VM | Get-hard drive. This returns the size VMDK in KB and after you convert in the UK, I sum up the totals and calculate space to subtract from the total size of the data warehouses. I have a lag in information in free space. For example:

    Name FreeSpaceMB CapacityMB

    vSphere 1 63634 511744 storage

    vSphere 2 60576 511744 storage

The data that I get of you add up all the VMDK located on these two stores of data then subtracting total capacity does not equal free space above. I did this on our entire VM infrastructure and continue to run on this issue. The VMDK must reside somewhere, so why they bring two different digits? Is there a any correlation between the VMDK size and free space? Often my data are disabled by nearly a terabyte.

In this case less than 50 GB, remember to file vswp, etc.

But sometimes report is simply wrong in vSphere Client, you can get accurate information in the service console.

  • Is it possible to draw pixel and the SNES on top a picture full resolution in Photoshop or any other program?

Hello. I was wondering if it is possible to set a picture (at full resolution) as a background and draw on it with pixels. For example, if I have a picture of a mountain. Could I add that in Photoshop and shoot to make 8-bit?

    It is an interesting question.

    You can do several strategies:

    1. If you want to go in the artistic sense, make a square using the tool brush pen, not the Brush tool.
Then always change the color and the tool selector pen to color and put the color in the photo.
As an aid, you can use the raster leaders who have the same distance as the size of the enclosure.
    2. The next strategy is the Pixelate filter (Mosaic): How Pixelate in Photoshop - YouTube
    3. Another strategy is to resize the image. Firstly the scale down, to create the actual pixels. And then scale upwards, but with the option of the nearest neighbor.

    Have fun.

  • Size of the placed Image and the difference in quality

    Hello world

    I'm under Indesign Adobe cs6 Version 8.01

I have a document which is 2048px x 1536px (for iPad resolution Retina display).

    I reszied all my images to about 1140px x 760px at 300PPI

When I place images in Indesign it resizes the image to 180px x 272px

The number of effective pixels and actual pixels are 300 PPI resolution that I've resized the in photoshop under the links section

The quality of the preview is set high quality

In the File Handling preferences preserve Image Dimensions when the restoration of the links are on

I tried to save the image in Jpeg, Tiff and PNG formats to solve the problem

I set my default object style Frame Gun on site and be sure to adjust automatically is checked and the editing of content is set to None.

What can be done to rememdy this problem?

I want just the images that I've resized in Photoshop CS6 to be placed in the exact dimensions that I've resized to do the set up files simple and easy.

If you can please help with this problem as soon as possible I would be very happy.

    Thank you very much

  • PRE 9 - Photos - recommendation of the pixel and the resolution setting

I would like to integrate photos between video segments, as well as on the actual video.  Before to put these photos in PRE 9, what should I resize pictures (pixels and resolution). I use Premiere Elements to resize photos.   I am burning a DVD HD at 1920 x 1080 pixels.

    Thank you.

I agree with Neale. Scaling the EPS/PS images, just the pixel x pixel dimensions that you need will do two things for you: you get the best quality and eliminate excessive, pushing a bunch of unused pixels around. This ARTICLE will give you more. Note: he started, before HD took over the market, just so read all the dimensions of 720 x 480 to 1920 x 1080 (in your case). I then have to add comments on the HD, but some get confused, when they see the 720 x 480 at the beginning.

  • The printer page size setting does not work in Photoshop 5.1 with printer Xerox

I am trying to print a size over 8.5 x 11 and Photoshop will not change the size, even if the setting of the printer is now in the largest size.  Illustrator and other programs will print but this Photoshop fails.  This is a problem in 32 and 64 bit versions.  Help!

I found the following on the Xerox site... hats off to T Robinson:

Re: Photoshop CS6 on Win 7 x 64 only prints the format letter on Workcentre 7655

    20/03/2013 12:28

We have a Xerox WorkCentre 7435 PCL6, and I had a similar problem. I found a workaround in Photoshop CS5, I will describe where it is useful to others. I just upgraded to Photoshop CS6 however, and workaround no longer works with it. Instead, I get an error message if I print a report of the story of Job. The message is partially cut off at the right margin of the page, but the part I read says: "done with error(016-799): print educatio... failure detected in decomposer.» (The selection button indicates the part of the message that is cut off. What follows it appears on the next line down. I downloaded all updates to CS6 to see if that would help, but it didn't.

Here's the solution that worked for me on CS5:

    1) click on "Printer setup" in the print dialog box

    (2) on paper in the drop-down menu, select 'Advanced paper selection.

    (3) select the status bar where your tabloid (or legal) size of paper is loaded

    4) click the button at the right end of the "Paper size" field to display the paper size dialog box.

    5) click on the down arrow button at the right end of the field 'Of the Original Document size' and select 'Tabloïd' (or 'Moral') in the menu.

    6) click OK to close each of the open dialog boxes until you return to the print dialog box and print your document. Print preview should update to show you a preview which reflects the selected paper size. (This can take a few seconds to arrive).

It worked for me in CS5. Unfortunately, as indicated above, it doesn't seem to work on the CS6. The only solution I can offer for CS6 is to save the file as a PDF and print from Acrobat. It works without problem, but there are a lot of trouble to go whenever I need to print something other than letter size.

If someone finds a better solution to workaround in CS6, let me know.

32-bit operating systems are limited to 3 GB, but the performance is similar in Internet/desktop applications every day.

If you do a lot of creating media (e.g. video coding high definition or music production), 64-bit would be a better option.

  • Keep the Image in the header and the text appearing in printed documents

    Hello

I have RoboHelp9. I added a logo and a title to a master page and applied this master page to all the topics in my project. I wish that this header appear in the online version of my output. However, I wouldn't like this appear in the printed version. When I generate a PDF, the logo and title appears before each subject. How can I prevent the master page header to appear in literature printed, without affecting the output online?

    Thank you

This sounds like you apply a conditional tag to build the items that you want to appear online. Then in the scheme of the single source for your printed documents, exclude that build the output tag.

I got my new Blackberry Curve 8330 3 weeks red and I installed the BB Desktop Manager that comes with the CD called Blackberry user tools.   Now when I click on "updates" on the lower part of the Desktop Manager, a popup window with all sorts of information that I don't know where to go first.  My version of the op is a 4.3.0 xxx what is desktop software for? Is this software integrated with the Desktop Manager, or is it a separate thing?

Hope to hear from you beautiful peeople soon to explain this for me!

Not necessarily. I'm a tech person, so I'd rather have the latest greatest version of ang of the software I use. So if you are happy with 4.3 and it is not crashing or causing errors so feel free to continue using it.

You can always try 4.7 and if you don't like it uninstall and reinstall 4.3
