  Make sure that the Acquisition of Image Windows service is started.

  a: type Services.msc in the start search box and click on enter.

  b: now, look for a service called Windows Image Acquisition

  c: Double-click the service and make sure that it is detected and set as Started.

  If that does not help the problem, a sequel to the above listed link I would do a hard rest is: while the printer is on, pull on the power cord to the printer and the wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to the wall and printer. This will trigger a 'dirty power upwards' and restoring the printer to a State well known (if possible). No user settings are lost with a "hard reset." I'm pulling directly the instructions for this process of a hardware instruction guide. I'm sticking to it would have shown here Word for Word.   I connected my 1536dnf LaserJet recently purchased by the Ethernet cable to a bridge wireless to allow printing and scanning from my wireless laptop. It works very well. However, for some reason any communication is no longer with the printer through box HP tools or ePrint, who both worked very well to install. My router main displays the address IP of the LJ 1536 as a connected device. Somehow, the bridge becomes a way? There not at the beginning. Is there anything else that could prevent these kinds of communication but not printing/scanning? Is there a setting to resolve that I've not found? I tried to put the default gateway of the LaserJet printer for the IP address of the gateway instead of the router, but that did not help. Thanks in advance for any advice.

  I see that you are unable to scan / install with HP Officejet Pro 8600 Windows 8.1 computer, I would like to offer a helping hand.

  I wish that you run the HP printer installation wizard on the computer to acquire the software, it will download and install for you.

  Which is to remove the PSDr on your computer, you should be able to just drag the icon to your trash can (on the desktop). Of my knowledge and use of the PSDr is not installed on the computer, it will extract temporary files whenever the icon is open.

  If you want to delete temporary files, you can press the Windows key and R on the keyboard (from the desktop) and it will open the box run. Type %temp%, and then press ENTER, search the 7z files and delete them (you can delete all files and folders from here, if you wish).

  When I click on the HP printer on the desktop icon, it does not open the usual window for all functions of the printer.  I just get a notification asking if I want to leave the program to make changes to my pc.  Also, when I click on the option of printing a pdf document, the print window that opens only allows me to "Save" the document not printi TI (the 'save' button is substituted for the 'print' button).  Can I save the document and print then after I opened from my windowssaved file, if the printer is working and will analyze in the screen of the printer associated with the.  This is done via the wireless connection, so it works.

  About the "print" button, I guess that's not related wit the real software problem:

  Google chrome opens the print dialog box, and then press the button change.
  Select your printer from the list instead of the default save as PDF option and try to print again.

  You have the OCR program installed?

  In the digitization, if you have the disc that came with the printer, and then insert the floppy disk to the printer and keep it from running. Go to my computer and double-click it. Locate the drive that contains the disk Dell inside. Right-click on it, left click Explore. Find the folder of the OCR. In the OCR folder, there is a folder of Abbyy. Right click on setup.exe, which is located in the folder Abbyy and left, click Run as administrator. This will install the OCR program.

  Once it has downloaded and installed, go to start > all programs > HP > HP Scan extended > Run "HP Scan extended.

  Let us know if it works.

  I understand that you have moved your location of printers and it is not printing via wireless network.

  You mentioned that the print and Scan Doctor will not download, and this could be a problem on the computer or with the internet connection. Could try to use another web browser and try to download and run the printing and scanning Dr. again? I would like to know what are the results of the tool.

  Also, try to make copies of the front of the printer and let me know if they work, or if you see errors.

• Can someone tell me what software to use to print and scan from my MacBook pro

  I have Mac OSX Mountain Lion and I am trying to print and scan my 5510 Photosmartt wireless. I tried to use the full suite of HP and Apple software for the printer. The HP software does not find my printer on my network only when it is connected through USB. I used the option "wireless via USB" when I installed the software, but the process never went through a process of Wi - Fi as soon as I unplugged the USB cable it was impossible to find the printer. I also tried to add a printer manually using the host name of Bonjour that works but loses connectivity on occasions, but I am then unable to use the extras like the Apps that come with the HP software.

  I have an iPad which I can connect using HP Printer Control app but I was under the impression with the last update Apple what airprint totheirs device should work without the need for an application.

  I read all the advice of experts in many forums like this one and have tried everything, but I was unable to connect to my network without problem. I can scan, eprint printers EWS etc so I must be connected to the router and the Internet, so I really don't understand why I'm having these annoying problem. I know that I am not alone so concerned manufacturers should get it sorted and soon.

  I should also mention that I have a laptop win7 I have installed on the same netwrk and had printing and scanning works very quickly without any problem of connection at all.

  I'll be very happy to receive a solution from an expert very soon.

  Your suggestion is exactly how I installed the printer before but still had problems of connectivity with my MacBook. However I seem to have found the solution and it's, once the printer and MacBook on the same network I put then a static IP by allowing the software page to recommend a static address. Previously, I had chosen the static address manually by following the instructions provided.

  The difference now is that when I look at my page of router software the printer is more listed under DHCP DEVICE INFO, but I am still able to find the printers web page by inserting its ip address into Safari, as well as the EWS page

  This seems really healed my problems. Thanks for all your help.

  Try scanning with picture Capture in your Applications folder.  Click the scanner on the left, click View details in the lower part to reveal a bunch of settings on the right side.
