  I just upgraded to ID CS5 and I'm really impressed with the improvements. Of course, however, some aspects take a few adjustments that brings me to my question. How can I specify the size of the "printed" page when you export a PDF file? Basically, in CS4 I could set up a document to have, for example a page size of 20x20cm. I could then print it in PDF format and select a page A4 format. This meant that I could get my printer to print the document of 20 x 20 irregular size on a standard paper size and include benchmarks of crop etc. In CS5, I cannot get ID to export the pages that they are configured (i.e. 20x20cm).

  I don't know I must be missing something obvious here, someone has any ideas?

  As I've recently updated my HW, it seemed appropriate to try CS4. That has proved to be a real exercise!

  First of all, I receive a stop message 0 x 50 I started to configure the bridge, when I made a quick exit to see what I put in place in PS. It never happened again I am went. Stop messages now changed to 0x08E. A thorough inspection of the ID of message'd NV4_disp.dll, the nVidia driver which I've updated when I set up the new facility. Bridge CS3 has no problem with it, but a CS4. Since this is a BSOD continually, I drove back from the driver. Now, bridge works ok, CS4 works still OpenGL, but now CS$ don't really seem to like this driver I get as erratic behavior when moving the window float after all windows (I hate the default aperture value!) the image disappears unless I opened another or after moving for a moment and clicking like crazy , I get the picture and it is stable.

  So far, the second problem is Bridge CS4 icon in the start bar. Who is on, I can not open Bridge CS3. Photoshop opens ok, but to be able to open Bridge CS3, I leave Bridge CS4 first, which, either by the way is how I arrived at the 0x08E stop! There is no way to eliminate it definitively to appear because if you open Bridge CS4 at all, it sets the start icon little matter configuration bridge (and msconfig).

  The ATI 5870 is really soft, works well with Windows 7 and CS4. The only problem with the 5870 is the screen will be a shake a little at the top when a window is open on the desktop with the Overclocking of the CCC is unlocked. The only reason why I got mine unlocked must rotate at the speed of the fan up to 50 percent to keep it cool as he vents in the case. The contraction is a known issue and I hope that fixed in 10.1 driver set next January. Oh, and the map is long and has a space problem when it appears in a midtower case. It is longer then my 4870 x 2. So I had to place my senior in the case hard drives until I can buy a full turn.

  Based on these scripts I've done myself who place a PDF file with multiple pages in the form of a chart online where the name of the PDF file is inserted as a Cape.

  Works very well. But when I want to import files PDF 20 I have to run this script 20 times, which is not very practical.

  I'm looking for, so a way choose a folder in which are several PDF files that will be placed inside 1 ID doc.

  Any suggestions?

  Blurry printing InDesign: Choose file > print > graphics > Images > data send: all

  Fuzzy in PDF format: fix above points first. make sure that the links are up-to-date; post a screenshot here your PDF export settings.

• OpenDialog ScriptUI does not downgrade CS5.5 to CS4

  So here's my most recent bit of fun.  The scripts that I have written have been in CS5.5, but I learned today they need work on CS4.

  Almost everything seems to work except one critical piece. Here is a brief summary of what I'm doing.

  I open a window that has two text boxes and two buttons.  The first button opens a file dialog box that allows the customer to choose where their XML file.  When they select it and click ok, it fills the first text box with the path.

  The second button opens a file dialog box that allows the customer to choose the location of their folder of images, and when they click ok, it fills the second text box with the path.

  Everything works peachy in CS5.5.  But when I tried in CS4, it's what he does.  When I choose a file and click OK, is to fill the text box with the word "file".  When I choose a folder, this is the filling of the second box with the word "file".

  Here are the relevant functions:

  Add a line to your code:

  And run your script from the ESTK when the console is open. You will see that the file is printed. So tf is not a string but a file object. Use e2.text = tf.fsName to display the path name full access for the file or e2.text = tf.name to show that the name. Is the same for the other function, which shows the folder instead of the folder name.

  In CS5, you can save a file CS5 as a CS4 file.  This will be your only optin to put a file can be used on both machines.

• Bridge CS5 crashes repeatedly (CS4 too)

  A typical workflow for me is to open 4-5 (.dngs) in Camera Raw in bridge raw files, edit, save as TIFF, return to the bridge and move the raw files to a subfolder. My problem arises usually when I try to move the raw files. Bridge moves them, but at the same time it crashes. I can move 1 file at a time without crashing, but not 2 or more.

  I hoped CS5 would solve this problem, but it didn't. I trashed my prefs, several times. I purged the cache several times. I changed my openGL settings in Photoshop Basic. Every thing I try works for a short time (which means that for about an hour I can come 2 .dngs both in subfolders after backup/editing in Camera Raw). Then it stops working, and I'm back for repeated failures.

  
  I am under Photoshop CS5 x 64 in Windows 7, with 12 GB of Ram, a quad-core i7 processor and an ATI Radeon 4870 graphics card. Photoshop CS4 and now CS5, work like a dream; and that's of Camera Raw. I know Bridge cannot see most of this RAM, but I would really like that it works as well as it did in CS3, on a much older, slower machine for me.

  Is it a problem other people had? I was not able to find much about it in the forums or Google, only a solution involving a nVidia graphics card, which I did not. Oh-, I have the latest drivers for my graphics card, etc.

  To change the compatibility mode to Windows 7

  • right-click on the icon for bridge

  • Scroll the properties to get the box properties of adobe bridge cs5

  • go to the Compatibility tab, in compatibility mode section

  • Select windows 7 in the drop-down list in the menu drop-down

  • Check run this program in compatibility mode in the check from the box.

  • Select apply and exit.

• Placement of PDF

  Didn't do a lot of drag / move, but it seems to me that if the last series of options that you used when you place a PDF file will be kept and used until you open the dialog box and change, so if you chose 'the art' for crops instead of 'media' you will get all the space on a page , and if you choose page 3, you will continue to get the three page when one exists.

  You can add a link to the PDF file and display options to edit the page, but it's probably a lot more work than just using the dialog box first. Instead of dragging, you can select multiple files in the dialog box and display options for each of them, which will speed up the process, maybe.

  I can't get the scan to searchable PDF (PDF and PDF) file to work as expected with my new J4680.

  It works very well with other formats (TIF, JPG, etc.), but not with the PDF.

  It scans well request for additional pages correctly, and then try to create the PDF file. This is the process fails.

  An empty PDF file (size 0) is created and it fails with an error message:

  Thanks, the problem is resolved for now.

  Suppot of HP was somehow in the right direction. I uninstalled the drivers all (!) of the 'old' hardware HP (6110 OfficeJect, ScanJet,...), reinstalled the J4680 completely and from there everything worked.

  Internal error (WIN XP) seems to be related to a conflict with older drivers.

  I hope this help if someone having similar problems.

  Hi guys! I bought adobe creative suite cs5 sometime ago and is considering upgrading my mac os, so I can download other software. Does anyone know if older versions of photoshop are toward the front of the environment? I currently have os 10.68. 10.7 or anything beyond that would be able to run the old edition, I? Thank you!

  CS5 works well on Lion 10.7.5.

  My Mac Pro cannot run anything higher than that.
