Place images in Illustrator changes their color values - why?

I've been put photoshop tiff files in Illustrator, and this seems to change the color values, when I sample with the eyedropper tool. The images that I did use a custom mix of intense Black of CMYK, with the K value of 100. In Illustrator, they seem to go back to the default "black Photoshop' value, about C75 M68 Y67 K90. It is not my intention to C70 M60 Y58 K100. The Illustrator document's CMYK mode, and I don't know why this is happening. No graphic elements (vectors) in my illustrator file retain the color values, I intended, however.

Is this some kind of framework that I can change in Illustrator? This gap will be displayed when this file goes to print? Help, please! Thank you.

When the image is not embedded, Illustrator samples the values of representation. Those that are managed by color management.

  • Place Images in Illustrator are blurred.

    Hello I have this problem in CS5 that any type of image or line art are always blurred. All my work is for print and maybe just the overview is fuzzy, but I'm afraid that the impression will be bad.

    More graphic, in that I bring you come from Photoshop CS5. I make sure you are 300 DPI to start and they recently learned that they should not be in RGB but CMYK mode.

    The images that I should also mention when placed are very small and I scale to be in the right size. I don't know why they do not place in their original size. So, basically, it's small size and blur.

    Any help on this matter is sensitive. I am new to Illustrator and want to learn more about him, because it seems to be a great tool to use for printing.

    Thank you

    Victor

    I think that the solution to your problem starts in photoshop. Most printers require 2 X lpi (lines per inch) resolution and the most common screen is 150 lpi (133 or 175 are the next most common), so therefore 300 dpi (dots per inch) standard resolution requirement. Open your image in photoshop > Image > image size > uncheck resample image > change your resolution at 300 dpi, if it is not, and save. I bolded that cause thath setting is very important, and you should familiarize yourself intimately with hwo everthing in the works of image size. This deactivation will not add or remove pixels, but will adjust the size of your image if you change the 300 dpi.

    Now when you place the image in Illustrator, you will know that your image is exactly 300 dpi. If you resize your image smaller, no problem your effective resolution will be > 300 DPI and which never hurts. If you resize your larger image in Illustrator, then you know that your resolution will be less than 300 dpi. Now, you can better assess the quality of your reproduction of the image.

  • Adobe Photoshop Image export causes changes in colors

    I just downloaded Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. I have not changed the color on my computer settings, or either program. When I open a RAW image in Photoshop color displays correctly. Even if I don't change something on the picture, when I export the photo to Photoshop, the colors change. They seem to be not saturated.

    Here is the picture when opened in Photoshop, no retouching.

    Screen Shot 2015-07-14 at 2.59.05 PM.png

    Here's how the photo will appear when I try to export.

    Screen Shot 2015-07-14 at 3.13.53 PM.png

    The test format was initially the 'Work CMYK' value. When I change to "Monitor RGB", it appears same as it does when it is exported.

    Photo after changing format to test for "Monitor RGB"

    Screen Shot 2015-07-14 at 3.14.34 PM.png

    Proof of installation always set to "Monitor RGB". Now when I open the photo in Camera Raw, it reappears in natural color. When I close Camera Raw, the color changes it back.

    How can I get the image to open in Photoshop, Camera Raw and export all in the same color profile?

    Export as bands the icc profile. That's why you see this. Regularly use Save as or save for Web.

    The new export module is just finished and should be avoided until it is. She deletes also all metadata such as copyright.

  • PLACE Images in Illustrator documents and economy.

    Is it sort of just embed images in an illustrator document, because I know when you PLACE (file > Place) them, it creates a link, and if you accidentally delete a picture or something, it will not be displayed in your document, you open.  My question is: is it possible once you place images in your document, embed results without having tied them to everything, but still retain the ability to edit?

    I make a batch of PDF files and sometimes the images are linked to the pdf as well.  I always (illustrator keeps editing capabilities) checked when I record on my PDF to make changes on a regular basis.  ANY HELP?

    If you open a PDF in Illustrator, you get asked for a link according to which pdf preset that you use.

    The smaller file size - compress & incorporates images

    By default Illustrator - both a link is created in the code and an embedded image. If you open in Illustrator will look for the image, if you open in Acrobat will use the embedded image.

    Now if you have a .ai file open, save smaller size of pdf and the file remains open except back to AI, the link is restored. The file acts as a file .ai, none of this burst of text kerning, etc occurs. So if you still accidentlayy record in a .pdf file, a way to recover without spoiling the editability of your file is saved with the file open in .ai.

  • How can I make multicolored links change their color reversal or stationary?

    I made links with distinct colors using css, but the links with new colors have no hover property. I want these links change color when the cursor passes over them in the same way other links on my page only. I tried to make a new css for < hover > rule and tried to write to the property in the css code, but without result. I searched the web and this forum for an answer and found notheing that works. Anyone know how to give links with several colors of a hover property that will make them change color? All my other links change color as defined in the properties page, but links with the new rules of color change of color more. It's probably pretty basic. I'm new to DW, using CS6. If anyone can provide a step by step and show where the code needs to be inserted, it would be very useful. Thank you in advance!

    For those looking for an answer on how to change the a: hover color for a single hyperlink, after a little greater experimentation, I found that adding to my CSS allows me to change the color of a single binding a: overview!

  • Place Images in Illustrator CS4 causes them to appear 1/3 size

    Everytime I try and place an image (either simply place an image or an opening) in Illustrator CS4 for Windows - for some reason, the images appear in about 1/3 the size they should be.

    I go to view > actual size and this shows that the image is 100% but it is obvious that the images are nowhere near 100% (see attached ai.cs4.jpg). This could be the cause? I opened the same images (I know because I'm drawing from my office and I know I'm pulling the same files to avoid confusion) in Fireworks CS4 and it pulls open correctly the right size, the same time - every time (see fw.cs4.jpg).

    I'm really trying to come to grips with Illustrator, but this simple task is driving me crazy.

    Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated-

    Sincerely,

    kstagg

  • Scanned image cannot be changed in color in MS Paint

    Hello

    I scanned an image in my PC and tried to edit it with paint, but when I try to add color to her all the colors seem to be black and white, I appreciate any help thanks.

    With the help of paint
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-paint

    If you create a new picture in MsPaint colors work as expected?

    If you save the first image of the scan loaded in MsPaint in another format of file (.jpg or .bmp) MsPaint and then reopen it in MsPaint colors then do work?  If you save the scanned original image as a file format different does also?

  • Why do the monitors on Windows XP suddenly change their colors?

    Mine has suddenly changed his light greenish blue to dark green, and the icons on my desktop are reddish.  A few sites I visit are difficult to read.  I was trying to access some info at the time flash player.  Can anyone suggest how to fix this?  It's very frustrating.  Thank you.

    The graphics 'card' he pilots and drivers can be updated, but I doubt that the problems you are having are associated drivers.

    The "map" can be a map of component discrete snap or maybe it's just the chips that are integrated into the motherboard of the PC. Look at where you connect the VGA monitor cable. If there are plenty of other (different) connectors on the same plate then your motherboard has an integrated graphics card. If there is only one (or maybe two) connectors, so you have a discrete graphics card.

    I repeat my previous opinion, if you can't get through test yourself, take the PC and follow for a repair installation, ideally one that you can get a recommendation for and put the matter in hand. Try to get the free diagnosis, it shouldn't take more than a few minutes. Then, get a quote before agreeing to pay anything.

  • Change the color of the placed transparent images (tiff, psd, png...)

    Hello.

    I have a project with a lot of images placed. They must be transparent, because I need to produce a number of variants and quickly change the background and the color of these images. The images themselves have a unique color. I know that I could change their color in Photoshop and then place them in a group, but it would be much easier to just place a black version of them, arrange them, and then duplicate this group and change the color of the images. I can do this in Illustrator? I tried to use TIFF, png and PSD to get transparent images, but I only managed to change color in TIFF (for example) when they lacked transparency.

    Can someone help me with this? Thank you!

    You cannot colorize hair which is not flat, as you found it.

    Save an extra image is your transparency in grayscale mask. Align, and select the images and the palette of tranaparency > Popacity make mask > check Invert mask if necessary as in my example.

  • 'place' blurry images Photoshop Illustrator - at check in .pdf file?

    I edited some images in Photoshop for use in a .pdf file I created in Illustrator.

    In PS, images was beautiful and have been registered with the following parameters: .jpg/CMYK/Image Options: 10/Maximum. I have "placed" in the Illustrator file, everything was always wonderful, but I exported all of the .pdf file, the pictures came out blurry.

    The resolution is 300 dpi for images of three, all pixels of 170 x 100, which is also the size, they are used to in Illustrator.

    I note also that during the "placement" images in Illustrator, regardless of the type of file, the images are invariably much smaller that originally saved as. It's never happened before.

    Any ideas on how to have clean images, in the PDF?

    Things, I tried with no sign of improvement:

    Standard, high quality print and print quality save settings

    Save images as .jpg, .tiff, .psd in Photoshop to place in Illustrator

    'Link' and no 'link' when you place it in Illustrator

    Save images 2 x and 3 x the size in Photoshop to reduce in Illustrator

    And a cap perforated how I'm viewing the PDF with the images at 100% in Acrobat:

    Screen shot 2012-09-29 at 5.17.09 PM.png

    The quality is affected by their scaling upwards - at least if that's what you were doing with the placed files.

    170px wide at 300 dpi works be 0,5667 inches wide. Did you leave them this size or you increase their width/height?

    If you resize them, what size do you want in the publication? Let's say that you want them to be 2 "wide. 2 inches x 300 DPI is 600px wide at 300 dpi.

    Take care, Mike

    Edit to add * using my desired example 2 "width, if we place a 170px 300 dpi image, enlarged width 2", the effective DPI is approximately 83 dpi.

  • Can not change the color of the markers personalized in the run-up

    Hello

    Although I managed to find a way to create markers personalized in the run-up, I'm not able to change their color once I've created. They seem to be related to the marker that I used to create my custom marker (hope that makes sense). They also do not appear in the parameter preferably marker.

    What I'm doing wrong here?

    Prelude_Marker_Preference.jpg

    Hi rOn,

    Thanks for trying workflow of markers. You are exactly right.

    In fact customs markers are not different marker Type. They are only subitems or markers of comment depending on how you created them. In the preferences of markers, the image you also shared, entries for marker Type. Markers personalized is either comments/subelements are not shown individually. If you change the color of any type of marker that is a subelement/comment of preferences, in the same window that you shared, the colors of all connected markers & custom markers would change on criminal timeliine and marker Type.

    Currently, we are unable to select different colors for the same type of marker (to elsewhere too custom markers). I've highlighted this my team. We would look into it.

    However, prelude supports the model tag. I hope you checked.

    In window--> Tag, you can mark the Panel. You can create multiple tags with different colors and use them transparently on the timeline.

    Currently prelude supports tags only for comment markers. In the future, it can also support subitems.

    I hope it helps. Please come back in the event of any confusion.

    Thank you

  • How to permanently change the color of a button

    I use an action to change the color of a button.  It works but the color changes for only about a second and then back to the original color.  How can I make the color change permanently?

    Sigh, if a question was clear, that he would not take as long to get a response. I knew there was more than simply by changing the color of a button, where my questions.

    Personally, I would never trust effects for this particular case. They do not always work as expected and even less in 8.0.1 then 7. In addition, as this has always been the case, the application of effects by a step (or shared action) has a lot of limitations, because you cannot set the duration of effect, or specify the path, if it is a motion effect. The only solution that I found and explained a long time ago was to create a custom effect to apply. But the workflow is quite heavy: first he must create the effect based on time with the correct time and settings, then you can save it, but it won't be available immediately in the drop-down list in the dialog of AA. You must apply the effect custom time once, before it becomes available. BTW, the default duration of the tint to apply is 2secs, which cannot be changed in the AA dialog box.

    I don't see your response to Ajit, for some reason, maybe because it is personal and I am just a user. My approach would be to replace the original button with a touch of the color that you want, something as I used in the dashboard in this blog: Captivate 8 - first adventures - Captivate blog

    Forums act as strangely today as effects in Captivate, now the answer to Ajit popped up.

    Text buttons will always have the appearance of the system buttons, you can not change their color. It can be done with text buttons but once again, I never use them more because the form buttons appeared. Those are much easier to style and offer more choices. Furthermore they can be used on master slides and timed for the rest of the project, and you can even insert on Question slides.

  • Possibility to change the color of the text in a text layer?

    Hello

    Is it possible to change the color value of a text via ExtendScript layer?  I scanned the documentation, but didn't notice anything that would allow me to access this property immediately.  Is this possible?  Otherwise, there is no work around?

    Thank you

    Arie

    Change the text color to Red:

    var app.project.activeItem = myComp;

    var myTextLayer = myComp.layer (1);

    var mySourceText = myTextLayer.property("ADBE_Text_Properties").property ("ADBE Text Document");

    var myTextDoc = mySourceText.value;

    myTextDoc.fillColor = [1, 0, 0];

    mySourceText.setValue (myTextDoc);

  • Cannot change multiple colors for the life of me

    Hi there-

    I'm VERY new to photoshop and have tried to change just two colors in this stupid picture now for about five days. I know it is rudimentary, probably for most users.

    I have searched extensively online and experienced the replacement color and adaptation to "replace color" tool under the image.  I'll try to join the front and the picture after I was able to come up with.

    Essentially, I want to just replace the red and green to orange and black.  Orange I have is a very specific pantone (I have numbers, RGB and CMYK that I would use).  If possible, I would like to keep the shading... I think that's the biggest problem.  The colors are not uniform.

    Anyway, if it will take me a lot of time it's fine, I just don't know how to do and have all the edges and look to correct shading.  I can't find an online tutorial that shows even how to clean an image after you change its color to make it look professional.  I'm going nuts.  It is a job application and if you know how to do this and can help me - thank you!  Help!uranium_explosion1_original.jpguranium_explosion1_black and orange.jpg

    With a hue adjustment layer you can easily change the colors on this image while maintaining the shadows. I selected Greens on the menu drop down and move the brightness slider to the left.  Then, I selected the Reds and moved the Tint slider to get an orange tint.  Finally, I added a levels adjustment layer to increase the contrast.  I know, however, how to obtain the specific orange hue you want. I look forward to reading more specific solutions.
