Plug a Photosmart C4795 wireless network

When I try to connect my printer via wireless network, she prays for SSID and WEP key.  I use a Verizon Wireless UM175 USB modem.  I can't find the info SSID and WEP.  I installed this on a laptop HP with Windows Vista.  Can you help me please?

PrintDoc wrote:

Hmm, nobody can really help you with this exactly, but we can help you help you

Your SSID is the name of your broadcast wireless network (when you look at a list of wireless signals on your computer and say 'it's me' - that's all).

Your WEP (or WPA better alternative) is the password used by your wireless system.  You will need to know what type (WEP or WPA) and the actual password.  Did you write somewhere?  A good tip is to write both on paper and note your router to strip.

If you're still stuck, you can download this tool and it will help you get the info you need, however, is a little "cranky".

  • Need help with Photosmart C4795 Wireless Connection

What I have: HP Photosmart C4795

What I use: Macbook OSX 10.9.5, wireless network with WEP security, running, I'm not sure if I have WPS or not (don't know how to say or use it)

Problem: I used it as a wireless printer without problem for the past five years.  Recently, I moved and cannot find out how to configure the wireless connection.  USB connection works fine.  I still have the installation software, and as far as I can tell, it is updated (I'm not positive however.)  When I run the HP Installation Wizard, I've got to the point where I select "Set up for wireless" and the HP installation wizard crashes every time.  I scoured the forums and have found conflicting advice about this problem.  Someone please give me a clear answer. is there something I can do to get the job of wireless or no wireless capability is no longer works with Mac OS x 10.8 or superior?

Ah ha! I thought about it.  For anyone who uses an ATT Uverse router, maybe that's your problem.  My router is a NVG589 of Arris.  I don't know about other routers, but I guess that's the same thing.  These routers are capable of WPS, but their default settings have the WPS is off.

    You have to

1 access to the properties of your router via a web browser (Safari, Internet Exploere, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) to the address http://192.168.1.254/mdc
"2 click on 'Edit your settings or wireless security'", you will need the code printed at the bottom of your router.
    3. turn on the 'Wireless Protected Setup (WPS)'

From there, you should be able to follow the Setup instructions for printers WPS enabled found here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02273853

This next set of instructions is specifically for anyone who has a Mac and running the version OS x 10.9 or higher.  (If you don't know how to check this, click on the apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen.  Select "About this Mac" a box will appear with the information of OS x).

    Select Mac OS X.

Select the third option OSX v10.10 Yosemite, Mavericks Xv10.9 OS and OS X v10.9 Mountain Lion.

Select Option 1: Wireless Installation (EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE IT CONNECTED VIA USB.)

Skip the second step and proceed directly to step three.

Select the second method: install the software using Apple software updates

Follow the instructions for the method of the push button.

I hope this helps for those who had as many problems as me!

  • Photosmart c7280. wireless network.

Photosmart C7280 has been active in a wireless network.  then the injury signal.  Diallo said that radio is on.  Radio has failed the test of work.  Is there a way to reset the radio.  or to solve this problem, if the radio is shot?  If connect us printer directly into the router instead of the rest of the network wireless access to the printer in this way?

    Thank you.

Connect the printer with Ethernet is a great alternative and any computer can print, no matter how they are connected to your home network.

If you want to try to reset your printer to retrieve the wireless radio: turn the printer off, hold it # and 6 keys while and shortly after having again.

  • Photosmart C4795 wireless problem

Hi, I tried to configure connect wirelessly with my mac (OS 10.5.8) but I can't seem to access it.  When I search the online ip address I can pull up all the information from the printer, but when you try to add the preferences--> printers/fax system there is no recognized printers available.  When trying to set up by the disk, that I am unable to connect wirelessly via usb - all I get is an error saying that my mac has no access on the network even if it does.  The printer wireless network test report, there is no problem found.

I can add the printer directly by the option ip address when adding new printers through the system preferences, but the only thing that printed successfully is through the hp utility test page - whenever I try to print other documents it stalls and loses the connection to the printer.  I don't know if I added it by intellectual property through system pref properly because of this.  Everything works fine from my pc.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

If it prints very well from your PC, then I will assume that it is connected to your network OK.  We'll take on the Mac:

First thing to try would be to reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

If she is not there, restart your router and look again.

Also, tell me about your network - router brand/model, type of encryption (WEP, WPA, etc.) and ISP type (DSL, cable, etc.).

  • Please help with Photosmart C4795 Wireless

Hi, I have tried everything and can't seem to get this printer works wirelessly. I followed the instructions step by step, at least 4 times. The blue (wireless) light on the printer is on, the printer is recognized by my router (wireles Belkin n +), my software (McAffee) has also recognized the printer. When I do the installation of the printer, everything happening. I am able to print the report of wireless network and everything goes as well as it lists the good SSID and information.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium. When I try to print the printer icon appears (it clearly says "printing") and after 1 minute it just tells me "error-printing".

Solution Center HP also tells me that the printer is connected and active without error... Please if you have an idea on what could be the problem, I'd be happy.

  • How to add the printer in Photosmart 7525 wireless network to my laptop?

I have already added my new printer Photosmart 7525 to my home network.  It is installed via USB with the complete HP 7525 software (downloaded from HP) on my HP desktop computer that is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and I shared the printer on the desktop.  I want to access the printer even my laptop which is connected to my network via a router wireless (N).  The laptop is running Windows 7 Home premium 32 bit.  On the laptop under Windows, when I click to "add a network printer", it "sees" the printer 7525 shared desktop, and she also 'sees' 2 iterations of the 7525 which are connected to the network (I used the control panel of the printer to add the 7525 to wireless connection before never hang on the printer to any PC).    Under Windows, when I click on 'Add' my printer to the laptop, it pops up a window asking me to choose my printer model in the list of printers HP listed in the menu drop-down (it is looking to add the printer driver, I think).  My Photosmart 7525 is not in the list.  Photosmart 7500 series of printers is not also listed - even when I refresh the list of printers Windows drop-down list by using the Windows Update option.  So, what should I do - download and install the Photosmart full 7525 software and then add the 7525?

    Hi cwr64,

It is easier, more likely to work, to install the software of feature complete on each computer you want to use this printer.  I think you can use the printer with the USB cable connected to a printer and the Wi - Fi connection for other systems on your network home.

The exception: CE devices don't use FFS - instead, you can use the mobile application for printing.

  • Photosmart C4795 on fall back on the deployment of Airprint for 2011 schedule?

    Hello:

I recently bought the printer Photosmart C4795 wireless in September or October 2010. It is not on the deployment schedule of Airprint for 2010 on the PDF on HP support.

Would you know if The Photosmart C4795 wireless printer will be on a schedule of deployment of Airprint for 2011 or internal parts rely before the deadline of compatibility?

I want to upgrade this printer to be Airprint compatible.

    Thank you!

    Ziffel

One of the main requirements for Airprint is the must have ePrint printer.  I do not see the C4795 on ePrint models list, so it will not work with Airprint.

Another solution is HP iPrint, it allows to print Apple portable devices via a 802.11 wireless connection.

Here is a link to a document iPrint, it will show you how to get HP iPrint.

  • After that Windows 7 conclusion "No Internet access" in the wireless network?

I have a USB wireless network card installed in my office. All judging by the "connected network" showed, that he manages to connect to my wireless router, with I can't visit all websites due to "free Internet access". Only if I move my router where (almost) no wall blocking the path between my office and the router, will be solved the problem.

There is no problems surfing the Internet using my laptop (Windows XP) and the iPad, which also connect to the router.

I don't know what "No Internet access" while "Connected network" appears. To understand this, perhaps I should know what Windows 7 draws the conclusion "No Internet access" to the wireless network.

Thank you, everyone. I managed to figure out the problem last night. With this document that I found by Googling, http://www.usb.org/developers/whitepapers/327216.pdf, I tried to disconnect my DVD ROM USB plugged next to my wireless network card and found that this really WORKED, although the DVD ROM is USB 2.0 instead of 3.0.

In addition, as Shawn "Cmdr" Keene [MVP] said, I really need to I ignore the message "connected network". I ran the Ipconfig/all command frequently and found that sometimes the IP address of my wireless network card was no longer * 192.168.0 and the gateway, and the IP addresses of the DNS servers are null, even if the message "Connected network" remained all the time.

Hope this helps others who also have this problem, even though my English is not very good. : )

  • Photosmart c4795 FAIL wireless

Try to install the Photosmart c4795 on my wireless network. The problem seems to be with the software that came with the printer. The computer I use a Vista Home Basic. It uses avast! and windows firewall. I disabled them both, and that didn't make a difference. Here's what's happening.

After the initial Setup starts, I get to the screen where I choose "USB Câble" or 802.11 option. When I choose wireless, the next screen tells me that it cannot find any network (SSID). Although I am currently connected to it, it broadcasts its ssid and he even appears on the printers "HP Network Configuration Page" it seems so that the printer can see the network, but can't the software on my computer. So I try to do a manual config, type in the ssid and click Next. After I choose infrastructure mode, I get an error message "the selected printer is not present.  If it please to connect you to the printer and press Retry or Cancel to select another. Note that the printer is installed, and I am able to print to it while the usb is connected.

After the closure of the programmes and come back to it, I have to change the ports usb or goto the Device Manager and uninstall to try again (I have to use auto detection) if I check the box "the printer is already connected via usb" it brings me to a page with a list of printers. There is only 1 in the list. It's good, but when I pick it and next time I get the same error "printer selected is not present.

    Pls help.

I used the cd and never had problems, so I don't think it was a bad copy.

and boo lured3nem! That's what I've been doing all this time... Thanks for the help.

Anyway, so it turns out that my initial assumption must have been correct. Something on this vista Home Basic machine did not allow hp to wireless access card software and/or the windows wireless api. I brought on a laptop with windows7 on it, and after a warning on windows7, I went the installation. Everything is going as expected... even without disabling my firewall or Panda antivirus. Once I got the printer on the network, I have re-installed on vista basic machine and selected that it was already connected to the network, and the software found it. YES!

Note: I'm fairly advanced with computers and I couldn't find anything on this computer and would be interfearing... No service, no program running... nothing... So I'm still at a loss to know what was the cause of my problems. The best estimate is that Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic was the problem... as it seems to be so often.

If all else fails in your printer (especially with a vista machine) wireless configuration, try to borrow a laptop and get it on the network in this way... Once its on the network even the dumbest of the computers must be able to find it.

    Thank you to everyone!

  • HP Photosmart C4780 connects not (wireless) on Mac or wireless network

Sorry for the long post, but please someone help me!

I bought my new printer a few days (actually 14th) and began to implement on my MacBook Pro with my Wi - Fi, which is routed through a Linksys router and mainly through my desktop computer (a PC with Windows XP). I used the CD that came with the printer to set it up on my Mac and it has set up the fine by USB, but when I try to set up the wireless, I get the following message:

"Device not connected: to configure the network settings for the selected device, please connect via USB temporarily." The device can be disconnected from the USB once the network settings are transferred. »

I reconnected and got the same message over and over again, so I decided to set up on my desktop computer instead. This does not work either and I got the same message on my desk I have on my laptop. Uninstalled on both computers, reinstalled and I STILL got the same message. At this point, I'm about to throw all the electronics in my bath tub and be done with them but on the contrary, I checked (and double checked - and triple checked) my router via my browser settings, fact that I know the SSID and the password and reconnected to the network through my laptop... Once again, the same message. I tried the network installation of push, the installation of the network PIN, I feel I have tried everything! Probably miss me something small, but eyes fresh is always an asset.

Can someone help me? I printed a Test report of the network so that a Page Network Configuration and settings I received both... if need be, I can post the information from my router, in order to verify to implement, but after two days of trying to implement something that should have taken ten minutes (sometimes) I'm at my wits end.

    Network Test report:

"Your HP printer cannot find your wireless router. Check our wireless router has power. Make sure that your network (SSID) HP printer name exactly matches your router (SSID) wireless network name. If they do not exactly match, run the installation of the wireless network to set up your HP printer. »

How to change the network name of the printer to match?

These settings are to set up your printer wireless (or wired):

    • Stay connected to your router
    • Trouble printer status 'offline '.
    • Wake mode 'sleep'
    • All wireless devices stay better connected

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers (wired and wireless) should always be assigned a (fixed) IP address manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network and must be outside the range of the router DHCP.  After the adjustment of the static IP address the computer must be updated to show a Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of printers under printer properties/Ports.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here and here and still more here.  Video here explains the problem and how to solve the problem. <--> So watch this!
    2. Or check in the printer "Auto Off/sleep/Energy Saving Mode" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check your printer properties.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a socket wall and not to a UPS, power strip or a lightning arrestor. This will cause the printer to drop offline connection and disconnection (checked yes!).

Additional measures to take if you continue to have the problem (if they are posted)...

  • Photosmart C4599 connects to the wireless network

System details: Windows 7 64 bit, HP Photosmart C4599 Limited Edition. Wireless network (Netgear router) with visible SSID and MAC filter.

As the title suggests: my wireless printer is not connecting to my wireless network more. The reason that it is 'more' is because he used to work. But my wireless router has started to lose the internet connection - and I read somewhere that it might work to change the broadcast channel of the router (instead of channel 11 to 13). And it helped.
But since then, the printer was not able to connect. I tried it back - and interruption of the internet connection but the printer worked (a little).

I tell myself that I have to reset the wireless printers Setup, I don't know how to do.

Ok.  I think that the issue would be with the channel.  It might be too high a frequency for the printer to communicate properly.  You can have a heavy traffic on any channel, it depends on what is around you.  I recommend trying channel 1 or 6.  You should be able to download a parser for your smart phone wifi see what are the channels have less useage.
