• Why can't respond to the messages of my lock and the home screen?

  I have the iPhone 6 + and I recently updated for IOS 10 and just discovered that I can't respond to the messages of my lock screen, or when they appear at the top of my home screen; I have to go in the app to answer. The only options I have when I slide right to lock screen is 'view' (which has just expanded the text) or 'clear', I found this quite irritating and regret the update of my phone.   Welcome to Apple Support communities.  I'm glad you brought your question to be able to respond to messages directly from the lock screen, it is a feature I use all the time and I know it's convenient not having fully unlock and go to the app to respond quickly to a text.

  Let's check some settings to make sure that we have everything set up correctly for you to be able to respond to messages from the lock screen.

  The application of settings:

  1. Touch ID & password (enter your access code)
  2. Scroll down to ALLOW ACCESS when it is LOCKED
  3. Don't forget that respond with Message is enabled and set to green

  I understand that you experience a problem when you try to search with Safari. I suggest that you try the procedure described in the following article to help you solve this problem:

  If Safari doesn't load the pages of several sites

  In OS X Yosemite, you can delete data from the Web site for the last hour, or these days if sites or pages recently stopped loading.

  1. Click history > clear history and data from the Web site.
  2. In the sheet that appears, select the range of data that you want to remove from the Clear pop-up menu.
  3. Click on clear history.
     

  If you want to remove the data from the Web site for all the sites and pages you have never visited, choose 'all history' in the light of the context menu. The option to delete all the data of the website in the privacy of the Safari preferences pane does this, too. These options also reset your browsing history and Best Sites.

• The crash dumped and lost the home screen.

  Ideas: I'm working on a Vista Premium Pc. The client was downloading episodes of shows online tv and said what they crashdumped of PC and when they restarted the Office disappeared and is the only way they can move through the menu of the control panel and typing in where they want to go online at the top of the page. I know that they picked up some kind of spyware or viruses. but they also lost the ability to be admin task manager disappeared and virus protection said that everything is fine. I have to get rid of some files that were taking place allocate space that just kept popping up, but the home screen isn't always there. I need to reinstall the operating system?

  Start Windows, and then perform a system restore and check in recovery environment. Please let us know your progress so that we can better help you. Follow the steps mentioned below.

  If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.

  If you have a Windows installation disc:

  a. Insert the installation disc.

  b. restart your computer.

  If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

  Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.

  c. Select your language settings, and then click Next.

  d. click on repair your computer.

  e. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

• BlackBerry smartphones to change icons that appear on the home screen

  Hi all:

  Any new owner of the 9000.

  I've had three questions for you gurus:

  (1) is there a way that I can choose which icons appear on the home screen, so that I don't not to hit the MENU button and then scroll to access ones I use regularly...?

  (2) ATT (in the United States) made wonder a user name and password when I try to connect to att.com/blackberrystart.  I already put in place an email 'external' non-Exchange, the private, ([email protected]) on my phone, but of course I can't use it to connect to this site.  Does anyone have an idea as to what is happening?

  (3) even if I send emails using this account [email protected] of "BOLD", what should I do to RECEIVE emails on account of [email protected] using POP?

  Any help on these three issues will be fantastic.

  You can hide those that you no longer want to see. Just ALT + click the trackball on those that you do not want to see and choose hide. With the default theme only the top row of icons will be visible without hitting the menu button.

  When you go to the page AT & T BIS are you in the 'create new account' first? You can create an account to access the site. After you have created an account, you can access the sections of e-mail accounts to configure your BlackBerry email account.

  Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  The double-click feature applies from the lock screen, not the home screen.

  To check that it is always enabled, go to: settings > portfolio & Apple pay > check that double click on the home page button is enabled.

  If you want a search engine to be your "home page" when you open Firefox, you should always keep your favorite search engine on an open tab, like www.google.com . You will need to do some work to keep it open, as ensuring that this search engine was the last tab that you had open before leaving Firefox. Now, go to Settings - customize - tabs - and make sure it is set to "always restore." Now, if you open tabs before you quit Firefox you do not close, the last of them opens and can technically be your "homepage". Now you can open your e-mail login page too, as long as it was under the tabs open in firefox. Hope this helps some!
