  • I used to be asked if I wanted to allow pop-ups from a site, but not more

I loved this feature and you want to recover. I tried to make it through tools, Options, etc., but I just couldn't provide the correct address. Windows XP Professional

Have you looked on the address bar?

You should see an icon in the address bar when an embedded menu is blocked.

If you click on this icon, then you should be able to allow a pop-up and be able to restore the InfoBar (notification).

    Hi Annmac,

Generally, you will see a bar at the top of the page asking you if you want to allow pop-up windows. This happens to you?

If this isn't the case, you got nothing to worry about. You can add an exception for the blocker. Take a look at this article and it will show you how to allow popups for a particular site.

    Hope this helps!

  • I can receive pop-ups from certain sites in Tools/Settings, why then not also block popups from some sites since Firefox still fails to block?

Whenever I visit, for example, merriam - webster.com an advertisement of groupon invariably appears in a new window.
OK, so Firefox can't block it even though I have this option checked in Tools/settings/content.
But why can I not enter the URL of the announcement of groupon and block manually?
Can I enable pop ups of my choice in Tools/settings/content sites, I think that I should also be able to block sites?

I have a pop up blocker installed. the name of the program that is tring to install is CSC - exe. I have tried everything I know of to get rid of it but it comes right back. I did a system restore to an earlier time before it started coming but didn't stop him. I asked my provider of virus at a distance, we did it, but he said I should ask microsoft to do. That's why I'm here.  Any suggestions? makes me crazy.

    Hey dummy pc

What Anti Virus is installed in your system? This file is not a virus but a Microsoft popup. This occurs when you open Internet Explorer or randomly on the computer?

Try this to get rid of this popup message:

Step 1: Perform a clean boot and see if the problem persists.

Step 2: Also open (Alt + Ctrl + Del) Task Manager and check which program is being installed.

Step 3: Run Internet Explorer mode modules no. and also Optimize Internet Explorer and check.

Step 4: Online a scanner to your PC for malware:

If you want to scan your computer for malware and potentially unwanted on a Web site, please use the Windows Live OneCare safety scanner.

You can also run Anti-Malware on your computer.

  • Sound of buzzing/grinding/Popping/stuttering from speakers for Dell Inspiron N7110.

It is a similar problem, I read all the forums, and I tried ALL the suggestions of those messages that say they work. Unfortunately, there is no problem for MY model of laptop, it's always for some 15 - something.

I have a buzzing/grinding/popping/stuttering sound when I listen to the music, when I watch YouTube videos, or do much of anything that requires sound. It comes through the speakers of the laptop, any headphones that I use and even when I plug in speakers to use. I have tried everything; rolling back the drivers, update drivers, installation of something quick somethingsomething to Intel, I'm getting desperate. It's been two or more weeks now, and I'm at my wit's end.

My computer model is a Dell Inspiron N7110 with Windows 7 64 bit.

Because there is no forum for other messages on this problem with this model, I have not exactly a place to turn without actually posting something on this subject.

    I've tried everything

Have you tried to restore the original computer to the factory settings? If you had no problem when you first received the laptop, restore will fix it. (Page 70 of the Setup Guide - Factory Image Restore).

If restoring fixes it, it means that a configuration change caused the problem, probably an update. If you keep track of future updates, you can discover that it triggers the problem when it repeats.

If the restore does not resolve and the computer was not initially the problem, this means that a hardware problem has developed.
