Thank you

    Hi twister666,

Satego X 200 - 21 d doesn t have PCMICA slot, slot Express Card. This slot allows you to insert an Express card. An Express card module is a modular technology, small snap card based on USB and PCI Express. The maximum transmission rate at 2.5 Gbit/s. The two type of 34mm and 54 type are supported.

But on the tension, I can find no information, but I think that's not important because there is a standard voltage for this specification that each card will work.

    Hello kk123,

I understand that you are curious about SATA ports on your motherboard and that they are specific to the device. I'm linking you to an HP support document: all SATA hard drives and controller Modes, which should answer your questions about the SATA controllers.

I am also including a HP support document: Serial ATA Hard Drive cablesthat if you scroll down to the end of the document is a table that explains the colors of SATA connectors and what they are for.

Finally, I provide you with a last paper Support HP: HP PCI eSATA kit installation cable, that well that is not specific to your computer will give you an idea of how set up your eSATA support.

    Help!

I have a M45-S351. My PCMCIA slot is not working.
When I go into Device Manager there are problems with the system Interrupt controller, SD slot & some unknown PCI device.
    Windows cannot locate the drivers.

I downloaded all the drivers from the Toshiba web site.

    I always get these problems.
I even did a restore of the entire system. Yet these problems come back. Does anyone have an idea what is the cause or how to fix?

    Thank you in advance!

    Jokeapri

If you run recovery to reinstall Windows to its factory condition, and you have installed the latest version of the BIOS, then its likely to be a hardware problem. Maybe the Southbridge on the motherboard failed.

  • PowerEdge R210 eSata, multiplier support Port?

Does anyone know if the R210, first step the R210 II, supports the port multiplier eSata port?  Or one of its Sata ports?

I can't find any mention of the eSATA connection in the manuals or the online form, and nobody seems to know what it supports.

I have a JBOD with multiplier eSata port that I would use to expand on a four additional drives off the eSata port.  Unfortunately I can't install an eSata to the host card, because the single PCIe location is already in use running a Perc 6/e for a MD1000.

    Thank you!

    CrazyHamSales,

It seems that the R210 does support port multipliers, as seen on the two bars below.

Bus Name Raw bandwidth (Mbit/s) Transfer speed (MB/s) Length (m) cable maximum Power supplied Devices per channel
eSATA 3 000 300 2 with eSATA HBA (1 with passive adapter) NO. 1 (15 with port multiplier)
    SATA 300 3 000 300 1 NO. 1 (15 with port multiplier)

Hope that clarifies the issue, as well as provides the specifications you are looking for.

  • External port eSATA Studio XPS 9100 does not

    Hi all

I have a Dell Studio XPS 9100and external eSATA port does not work or it is not detected. I have a Seagate FreeAgent external drive and it can't detected, and it is NOT power up when I plug it into the eSATA port. The FreeAgent drive works fine as it is detected on my laptop Dell Studio XPS 1645eSATA port. The drive is detected on the 9100 when I use the USB cable to the drive (plugged into a USB port, of course).

I tried to do some research online and some suggestions were to activate via the BIOS eSATA port, but the eSATA port is enabled in the BIOS. The wrong driver is installed on the device? I see the Intel ICH10 Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller-3 has 22 in the Device Manager. Is this the right driver to recognize the external eSATA port or is there something else wrong with the 9100?

Does anyone think that the external eSATA port requires an external drive with its own power supply? The 9100 is a 2010 model year environment, but I think it should not require a player with an external power supply.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi all

I grabbed an eSATA disk that has its own power supply (AC adapter) and trendy source on eSATA back port and he recognized the car.

It seems that the Dell Studio XPS 9100 has of an old eSATA port requiring a drive eSATA that she is clean in order to be energy source active on its external eSATA port. If you try to use a disk without its own power supply eSATA it won't work because the former eSATA ports enabling the way as the USB ports and the new USB ports hybrid eSATA . My laptop Dell Studio XPS 1645 a hybrid one of these ports so apparently it is why my Seagate FreeAgent working on it and NOT on the 9100 desktop. You can't plug a USB cable in the 9100 eSATA port certainly isn't a hybrid eSATA port.

I guess I solved my own question.

  • How to connect by Satellite Pro A300-1LW to TV - only monitors VGA port available

I want to connect my Satellite Pro A300 1LW to the TV to watch DVDs and videos on the internet.

  • Drive external HARD is compatible with eSata on Satellite L655-158

    Hello

I buy a L655-158 this weekend, I also intend to buy a Seagate external hard drive that fits the eSata using something like that: -.

"Times that are up to six times faster than with USB 2.0 powered Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Upgrade Cable of eSATA transfer is designed to keep pace with you, to offer you!

With the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Powered eSATA upgrade Cable you can easily and inexpensively switch interface GoFlex and GoFlex Pro Ultra-Portable from your hard drive at speeds ultra-fast eSATA.

The FreeAgent GoFlex Powered eSATA upgrade Cable works with any port powered eSATA/USB combo, and is compatible with the ultraportable GoFlex and GoFlex Pro drives. Please note that it is not compatible with standard eSATA ports, not powered.

Take the time to transfer upward with the FreeAgent GoFlex Powered eSATA Cable upgrade to Seagate.

    General information
GoFlex connectors for eSATA/USB combo port
Other compatible with ultraportable GoFlex and GoFlex Pro readers. "

So, my question is the compatible adapter with eSata on the L655-158 port, is the powered port or not? If this is not the case, what are external drives others who enjoy the ease of eSata, and well what they are doing?

    Thanks in advance,

    Concerning

    Hello

    > So my question is the compatible adapter with the port eSata on the L655-158
There are just sort of eSATA port. If the external HARD disk supports eSATA interface so I guess you can connect this external HARD disk to the port eSATA to the Satellite L655-158

    Hi Forum.

I am currently repairing a 300-1700-Sat and reinstalling windows ME (Yuk I know but that's the preference of customers), however it does not show that there is any ethernet on the system hardware. There is an ethernet port on the back of the laptop, but it just does not appear in Device Manager.

My first was, however, that it can be disabled in the Bios, I checked and there is no option for ethernet.

    Any idea people?

    Hello

I'm not an expert, but you are sure that the laptop has a LAN port to 100%?
The laptop is an oldie. That's why I didn't find a lot of information in the internet, but I studied a bit and found that the device supports only:
Parallel port, PS/2 mouse or keyboard, 2 x USB modem RJ11, speaker/headphone, microphone (no internal) port, PCMCIA port and external monitor port of CRT.
There is nothing of LAN port

  • eSATA / USB2 combo Harbour on HP ProBook 4520 s

The ProBook 4520 s has an eSATA / port combined USB. What I want to know is:

    (1) is actually an eSATAp (power by ESATA) port?

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/ESATAp

If not, how does an eSATA / USB combination port differ an eSATAp port?

    (2) I have a drive HARD 2.5 and a different SSD 2.5 since a laptop previous, I want to use thanks to an external box ESATA 2.5.

If the port is an eSATAp interface, so I can use this:

Unfortunately, I couldn't find one that sells the foregoing locally in Australia, so I might end up the use of this:

    http://www.Welland.com.tw/HTML/enclosure/940.html

If I use the Welland, then I guess I can power the external case via the USB port of the laptop... but there must be a different USB port than eSATA / USB port?

    Thank you

    I ended up buying:

    http://www.Welland.com.tw/HTML/docking/601j.html

    and

    http://www.Welland.com.tw/HTML/poweresata/SCE200.htm

Both worked out of the box with a 2.5 "SATA HDD and SSD.

In fact, I'd just bought the CPE - 200, much cheaper, and the power is from eSATA / port combined USB. It IS therefore an eSATAp.

NOTE: I do not have a 3.5 "SATA HDD to try the CPE-200 with, so a SATA 3.5 '' HARD disk may not work with SCE-200 alone, as I read reports that the power coming out of eSATA / combined USB port is not sufficient to drive a HARD SATA 3.5".
